Abstract:We show: the Floer homology of (nonexact!) integral Lagrangians in an (nonexact!) integral symplectic manifold can be computed in terms of exact Lagrangians in an exact filling of the prequantization bundle. As a consequence, we deduce a comparison to microsheaves. Throughout we work over the Novikov ring.

Abstract:To a conical symplectic resolution with Hamiltonian torus action, Braden--Proudfoot--Licata--Webster associate a category O, defined using deformation quantization (DQ) modules. It has long been expected, though not stated precisely in the literature, that category O also admits a "Betti-type" realization as the Fukaya--Seidel category of a Lefschetz fibration. In this paper, we confirm that the category O associated to a toric hyperkähler manifold is equivalent to the partially wrapped Fukaya category of a Liouville manifold stopped by the fiber of a J-holomorphic moment map. The proof involves relating earlier DQ-module computations to a new computation of microlocal perverse sheaves. Leveraging known results on (de Rham) hypertoric category O, we deduce several Floer-theoretic consequences, including formality of simple objects and Koszul duality for the (fully) wrapped Fukaya category; conversely, by applying results about microlocal sheaves, we produce a relative Calabi-Yau structure on category O.

Abstract:Kashiwara, Polesello, Schapira and D'Agnolo defined canonical deformation quantizations of a holomorphic symplectic manifold and a holomorphic Lagrangian submanifold equipped with an orientation data. The goal of this paper is to use deformation quantization modules to construct a Fukaya-like category of holomorphic Lagrangians, resolving a conjecture of Joyce. Our main result describes the RHom complex between two such deformation quantization modules associated to a pair of Lagrangian submanifolds in terms of the derived geometry of the Lagrangian intersection. Namely, we identify the RHom complex with the DT sheaf associated to the d-critical structure on the Lagrangian intersection. Via a Riemann-Hilbert correspondence this describes the RHom complex in the category of microsheaves of sheaf quantizations of conic holomorphic Lagrangians.

Abstract:Let Y be a prequantization bundle over a closed spherically monotone symplectic manifold . Adapting an idea due to Diogo and Lisi, we study a split version of Rabinowitz Floer homology for Y in the following two settings. First, is a symplectic hyperplane section of a closed symplectic manifold X satisfying a certain monotonicity condition; in this case, is a Liouville filling of Y . Second, the minimal Chern number of is greater than one, which is the case where the Rabinowitz Floer homology of the symplectization is defined. In both cases, we construct a Gysin-type exact sequence connecting the Rabinowitz Floer homology of or and the quantum homology of . As applications, we discuss the invertibility of a symplectic hyperplane section class in quantum homology, the isotopy problem for fibered Dehn twists, the orderability problem for prequantization bundles, and the existence of translated points. We also provide computational results based on the exact sequence that we construct.

Abstract:Let $L$ be a monotone Lagrangian torus inside a compact symplectic manifold $X$, with superpotential $W_L$. We show that a geometrically-defined closed-open map induces a decomposition of the quantum cohomology $\operatorname{QH}^*(X)$ into a product, where one factor is the localisation of the Jacobian ring $\operatorname{Jac} W_L$ at the set of isolated critical points of $W_L$. The proof involves describing the summands of the Fukaya category corresponding to this factor -- verifying the expectations of mirror symmetry -- and establishing an automatic generation criterion in the style of Ganatra and Sanda, which may be of independent interest. We apply our results to understanding the structure of quantum cohomology and to constraining the possible superpotentials of monotone tori

Abstract:This paper proposes a framework to show that the Fukaya category of a symplectic manifold $X$ determines the open Gromov-Witten invariants of Lagrangians $L \subset X$. We associate to an object in an $A_\infty$-category an extension of the negative cyclic homology, called \emph{relative cyclic homology}. We extend the Getzler-Gauss-Manin connection to relative cyclic homology. Then, we construct (under simplifying technical assumptions) a relative cyclic open-closed map, which maps the relative cyclic homology of a Lagrangian $L$ in the Fukaya category of a symplectic manifold $X$ to the $S^1$-equivariant relative quantum homology of $(X,L)$. Relative quantum homology is the dual to the relative quantum cohomology constructed by Solomon-Tukachinsky. This is an extension of quantum cohomology, and comes equipped with a connection extending the quantum connection. We prove that the relative open-closed map respects connections. As an application of this framework, we show, assuming a construction of the relative cyclic open-closed map in a broader technical setup, that the Fukaya category of a Calabi-Yau variety determines the open Gromov-Witten invariants with one interior marked point for any null-homologous Lagrangian brane.

Abstract:A prequantization bundle is a negative circle bundle over a symplectic surface together with a contact form induced by a S1-invariant connection. Given a symplectically aspherical symplectic filling of a prequantization bundle satisfying certain topological conditions, suppose that a version of symplectic capacity of the symplectic filling is finite. Then, we show that the symplectic filling is diffeomorphic to the associated disk bundle.

Abstract:To a simple polarized hyperplane arrangement (not necessarily cyclic) $\mathbb{V}$, one can associate a stopped Liouville manifold (equivalently, a Liouville sector) $\left(M(\mathbb{V}),\xi\right)$, where $M(\mathbb{V})$ is the complement of finitely many hyperplanes in $\mathbb{C}^d$, obtained as the complexifications of the real hyperplanes in $\mathbb{V}$. The Liouville structure on $M(\mathbb{V})$ comes from a very affine embedding, and the stop $\xi$ is determined by the polarization. In this article, we study the symplectic topology of $\left(M(\mathbb{V}),\xi\right)$. In particular, we prove that their partially wrapped Fukaya categories are generated by Lagrangian submanifolds associated to the bounded and feasible chambers of $\mathbb{V}$. A computation of the Fukaya $A_\infty$-algebra of these Lagrangians then enables us to identity these wrapped Fukaya categories with the $\mathbb{G}_m^d$-equivariant hypertoric convolution algebras $\widetilde{B}(\mathbb{V})$ associated to $\mathbb{V}$. This confirms a conjecture of Lauda-Licata-Manion (<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2009.03981" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2009.03981">arXiv:2009.03981</a>) and provides evidence for the general conjecture of Lekili-Segal (<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2304.10969" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2304.10969">arXiv:2304.10969</a>) on the equivariant Fukaya categories of symplectic manifolds with Hamiltonian torus actions.

Categorical quantization on Kähler manifolds

Abstract:Generalizing deformation quantizations with separation of variables of a Kähler manifold $M$, we adopt Fedosov's gluing argument to construct a category $\mathsf{DQ}$, enriched over sheaves of $\mathbb{C}[[\hbar]]$-modules on $M$, as a quantization of the category of Hermitian holomorphic vector bundles over $M$ with morphisms being smooth sections of hom-bundles. We then define quantizable morphisms among objects in $\mathsf{DQ}$, generalizing Chan-Leung-Li's notion [4] of quantizable functions. Upon evaluation of quantizable morphisms at $\hbar = \tfrac{\sqrt{-1}}{k}$, we obtain an enriched category $\mathsf{DQ}_{\operatorname{qu}, k}$. We show that, when $M$ is prequantizable, $\mathsf{DQ}_{\operatorname{qu}, k}$ is equivalent to the category $\mathsf{GQ}$ of holomorphic vector bundles over $M$ with morphisms being holomorphic differential operators, via a functor obtained from Bargmann-Fock actions.

Abstract:We describe various approaches to understanding Fukaya categories of cotangent bundles. All of the approaches rely on introducing a suitable class of non-compact Lagrangian submanifolds. We review the work of Nadler-Zaslow [30, 29] and the authors [14], before discussing a new approach using family Floer cohomology [10] and the "wrapped Fukaya category". The latter, inspired by Viterbo's symplectic homology, emphasizes the connection to loop spaces, hence seems particularly suitable when trying to extend the existing theory beyond the simply connected case.

Abstract:For a stopped Liouville manifold arising from a Liouville sector, we construct a symplectic analogue of the formal neighborhood of the stop on the level of Fukaya categories. This geometric construction is performed via Floer-theoretic methods by allowing wrappings in the negative direction. On the other hand, inspired by homological mirror symmetry for pairs, where the mirror is the formal neighborhood of a divisor in an ambient projective variety, there is a different approach by taking a `categorical formal completion' introduced by Efimov. Our main results establishes equivalence of these two approaches, confirms computability of this new type of Floer theory by categorical and algebraic means, and indicates contributions from and to computations in homological mirror symmetry.

Abstract:Given a monotone Lagrangian $L$ in a compact symplectic manifold $X$, we construct a commutative diagram relating the closed-open string map $CO_\lambda : QH^*(X) \to HH^*(\mathcal{F}(X)_\lambda)$ to a variant of the length-zero closed-open map on $L$ incorporating $\mathbf{k}[H_1(L; \mathbb{Z})]$ coefficients, denoted $CO^0_\mathbf{L}$. The former is categorically important but very difficult to compute, whilst the latter is geometrically natural and amenable to calculation. We further show that, after a suitable completion, injectivity of $CO^0_\mathbf{L}$ implies injectivity of $CO_\lambda$. Via Sheridan's version of Abouzaid's generation criterion, this gives a powerful tool for proving split-generation of the Fukaya category. We illustrate this by showing that the real part of a monotone toric manifold (of minimal Chern number at least 2) split-generates the Fukaya category in characteristic 2. We also give a short new proof (modulo foundational assumptions in the non-monotone case) that the Fukaya category of an arbitrary compact toric manifold is split-generated by toric fibres.

Abstract:We use Lefschetz pencil methods to derive structural results about Fukaya categories of Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces; in particular, concerning their dependence on the Novikov parameter. Warning to the reader: the arguments in this paper cite two preprints (papers 6.5 and 7 in the series) which do not at present exist. Until that is remedied, the proofs cannot be considered complete, and this paper should be regarded as a preliminary research announcement.

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{Fuk}(T^*M)$ be the Fukaya category in the Fukaya's immersed Lagrangian Floer theory \cite{fukaya:immersed} which is generated by immersed Lagrangian submanifolds with clean self-intersections. This category is monoidal in that the product of two such immersed Lagrangian submanifolds remains to be a Lagrangian immersion with clean self-intersection. Utilizing this monoidality of Fukaya's immersed Lagrangian Floer theory, we prove the following generation result in this Fukaya category of the cotangent bundle, which is the counterpart of Nadler's generation result \cite{Nadler} for the Fukaya category generated by the exact embedded Lagrangian branes. More specifically we prove that for a given triangulation $\mathcal T = \{\tau_{\mathfrak a}\}$ fine enough the Yoneda module $$ \mathcal{Y}_{\mathbb L}: = hom_{\mathfrak{Fuk}(T^*M)}(\cdot, \mathbb L) $$ can be expressed as a twisted complex with terms $hom_{\mathfrak{Fuk}(T^*M)}(\alpha_M(\cdot), L_{\tau_{\mathfrak a}*})$ for any curvature-free (aka tatologically unostructed) object $\mathbb L$. Using this, we also extend Nadler's equivalence theorem between the dg category $Sh_c(M)$ of constructible sheaves on $M$ and the triangulated envelope of $\mathfrak{Fuk}^0(T^*M)$ to the one over the Novikov field $\mathbb K$.

Abstract:We relate Berezin-Toeplitz quantization of higher rank vector bundles to quantum-classical hybrid systems and quantization in stages of symplectic fibrations. We apply this picture to the analysis and geometry of vector bundles, including the spectral gap of the Berezin transform and the convergence rate of Donaldson's iterations towards balanced metrics on stable vector bundles. We also establish refined estimates in the scalar case to compute the rate of Donaldson's iterations towards balanced metrics on Kähler manifolds with constant scalar curvature.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with quantum cohomology and Fukaya categories of a closed monotone symplectic manifold X, where we use coefficients in a field k of characteristic p > 0. The main result of this paper is that the quantum Steenrod operations Q\Sigma admit an interpretation in terms of certain operations on the (equivariant) Hochschild invariants of the Fukaya category of X, via suitable (equivariant) versions of the open-closed maps. As an application, we demonstrate how the categorical perspective provides new tools for computing Q\Sigma beyond the reach of known technology. We also explore potential connections of our work to arithmetic homological mirror symmetry.

Abstract:The quantization of vector bundles is defined. Examples are constructed for the well controlled case of equivariant vector bundles over compact coadjoint orbits. (Coadjoint orbits are symplectic spaces with a transitive, semisimple symmetry group.) In preparation for the main result, the quantization of coadjoint orbits is discussed in detail. This subject should not be confused with the quantization of the total space of a vector bundle such as the cotangent bundle.

Abstract:In this paper, we define a family of categories for each Liouville manifold, which is an enhanced version of the category first introduced by Tamarkin. Using our categories, for any (possibly non-exact immersed) Lagrangian brane, we develop a theory of sheaf quantization generalizing the previous researches. In particular, our theory involves the notion of a sheaf-theoretic bounding cochain, which is a conjectural counterpart of the theory of Fukaya--Oh--Ohta--Ono. We also study several structures of our categories for sufficiently Weinstein manifolds and properties known in the classical Tamarkin category; intersection points estimates, interleaving distances, energy stability with respect to Guillermou--Kashiwara--Schapira autoequivalence, and the completeness of the distance. We conjecture that our category is equivalent to a Fukaya category defined over the Novikov ring.

Abstract:To a symplectic Lefschetz pencil on a monotone symplectic manifold, we associate an algebraic structure, which is a pencil of categories in the sense of noncommutative geometry. One fibre of this "noncommutative pencil" is related to the Fukaya category of the open (meaning, with the base locus removed, and hence exact symplectic) fibre of the original Lefschetz pencil; the other fibres are newly constructed kinds of Fukaya categories.
