Abstract:We provide an $(\infty,n)$-categorical version of the straightening-unstraightening construction, asserting an equivalence between the $(\infty,n)$-category of double $(\infty,n-1)$-right fibrations over an $(\infty,n)$-category $\mathcal{C}$ and that of the $(\infty,n)$-functors from $\mathcal{C}$ valued in $(\infty,n-1)$-categories. We realize this in the form of a Quillen equivalence between appropriate model structures; on the one hand, a model structure for double $(\infty,n-1)$-right fibrations over a generic precategory object $W$ in $(\infty,n-1)$-categories and, on the other hand, a model structure for $(\infty,n)$-functors from its homotopy coherent categorification $\mathfrak{C} W$ valued in $(\infty,n-1)$-categories.

Abstract:We show how to treat families of $\infty$-categories fibered in categorical patterns (e.g., $\infty$-operads and monoidal $\infty$-categories) in terms of fibrations by relativizing the Grothendieck construction. As applications, we construct an analog of the universal cocartesian fibration and explain how to compute limits and colimits of $\infty$-categories fibered in categorical patterns.

Abstract:The straightening–unstraightening correspondence of Grothendieck–Lurie provides an equivalence between cocartesian fibrations between -categories and diagrams of -categories. We provide an alternative proof of this correspondence, as well as an extension of straightening–unstraightening to all higher categorical dimensions. This is based on an explicit combinatorial result relating two types of fibrations between double categories, which can be applied inductively to construct the straightening of a cocartesian fibration between higher categories.

Abstract:We study complexes of stable $\infty$-categories, referred to as categorical complexes. As we demonstrate, examples of such complexes arise in a variety of subjects including representation theory, algebraic geometry, symplectic geometry, and differential topology. One of the key techniques we introduce is a totalization construction for categorical cubes which is particularly well-behaved in the presence of Beck-Chevalley conditions. As a direct application we establish a categorical Koszul duality result which generalizes previously known derived Morita equivalences among higher Auslander algebras and puts them into a conceptual context. We explain how spherical categorical complexes can be interpreted as higher-dimensional perverse schobers, and introduce Calabi-Yau structures on categorical complexes to capture noncommutative orientation data. A variant of homological mirror symmetry for categorical complexes is proposed and verified for $\mathbb{C}\mathrm{P}^2$.

Abstract:We show that every involutive Hopf monoid in a complete and finitely cocomplete symmetric monoidal category gives rise to invariants of oriented surfaces defined in terms of ribbon graphs. For every ribbon graph this yields an object in the category, defined up to isomorphism, that depends only on the homeomorphism class of the associated surface. This object is constructed via (co)equalisers and images and equipped with a mapping class group action. It can be viewed as a categorical generalisation of the ground state of Kitaev's quantum double model or of a representation variety for a surface. We apply the construction to group objects in cartesian monoidal categories, in particular to simplicial groups as group objects in SSet and to crossed modules as group objects in Cat. The former yields a simplicial set consisting of representation varieties, the latter a groupoid whose sets of objects and morphisms are obtained from representation varieties.

Abstract:We give a direct proof of the fact that Lurie's Unstraightening functor induces an equivalence between the strict $(\infty,2)$-category of indexed quasi-categories and the strict $(\infty,2)$-category of fibered quasi-categories over any given quasi-categorical base. We conclude that Unstraightening preserves simplicial cotensors up to a (strictly) natural homotopy equivalence, and thus gives rise to an accordingly weakened notion of cosmological biequivalence between the two underlying $\infty$-cosmoses.

Abstract:We introduce Artin-Wraith glueing and locally closed inclusions in double categories. Examples include locales, toposes, topological spaces, categories, and posets. With appropriate assumptions, we show that locally closed inclusions are exponentiable, and the exponentials are constructed via Artin-Wraith glueing. Thus, we obtain a single theorem establishing the exponentiability of locally closed inclusions in these five cases.

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{C}$ be an extriangulated category and let $\mathcal{R}\subseteq \mathcal{C}$ be a rigid subcategory. Generalizing Iyama--Yang silting reduction, we devise a technical condition $\textbf{(gCP)}$ on $\mathcal{R}$ which is sufficient for the Verdier quotient $\mathcal{C}/\mathrm{thick}(\mathcal{R})$ to be equivalent to an ideal quotient. In particular, the Verdier quotient $\mathcal{C}/\mathrm{thick}(\mathcal{R})$ will admit an extriangulation in such a way that the localization functor $L_{\mathcal{R}}\colon \mathcal{C} \rightarrow \mathcal{C}/\mathrm{thick}(\mathcal{R})$ is extriangulated. When $\mathcal{C}$ is 0-Auslander, the condition $\textbf{(gCP)}$ holds for all rigid subcategories $\mathcal{R}$ admitting Bongartz completions. Furthermore, we prove that the Verdier quotient $\mathcal{C}/\mathrm{thick}(\mathcal{R})$ then remains 0-Auslander. As an application, we define the picture category of a connective $0$-Auslander exact dg category $\mathscr{A}$ with Bongartz completions, which generalizes the notion of $\tau$-cluster morphism category. We show that the picture category of $\mathscr{A}$ is a cubical category, in the sense of Igusa. The picture group of $\mathscr{A}$ is defined as the fundamental group of its picture category. When $H_0\mathscr{A}$ is $\mathbf{g}$-finite, the picture group of $\mathscr{A}$ is finitely presented.

$\infty$-Categorical Generalized Langlands Program I: Mixed-Parity Modules and Sheaves

Abstract:Mixed-parity module emerges for instance when a de Rham Galois representation is being tensored with a square root of cyclotomic character, which produces half odd integers as the corresponding Hodge-Tate weights. We build the whole foundation on the $p$-adic Hodge theory in this setting over small $v$-stacks after Scholze and we also consider certain moduli $v$-stack which parametrizes families of mixed-parity Hodge modules. Examples of the small $v$-stacks in our mind are rigid analytic spaces over $p$-adic fields and moduli $v$-stack of vector bundles over Fargues-Fontaine curves. The preparation implemented at this level will be expected to provide further essential foundationalization for generalized Langlands program after Langlands, Drinfeld, Fargues-Scholze. One side of the generalized Langlands correspondence in the geometric setting is the perverse motivic derived $\infty$-category over $\mathrm{Moduli}_G$ related to smooth representations of reductive groups, while the other side of the generalized Langlands correspondence in the geometric setting is the corresponding derived $\infty$-category over the stack of mixed-parity $L$-parametrizations (i.e. from two-fold covering of the Weil group into $\ell$-adic groups) related to the representations of Weil group in our setting into Langlands dual groups. Although after Scholze and Fargues-Scholze our generalized Langlands program can go along $\ell$-adic cohomologicalization to immediately achieve various solid derived $\infty$-categories $\mathrm{DerCat}_\text{ét}(\mathrm{Moduli}_G,\square)$, $\mathrm{DerCat}_\mathrm{lisse, \blacksquare}(\mathrm{Moduli}_G,\square)$, $\mathrm{DerCat}_{\blacksquare}(\mathrm{Moduli}_G,\square)$ and so on with well-established formalism regarding 6-functors, we already provide certain $p$-adic cohomologicalization of the story over $\mathrm{Moduli}_G$.

Categorical spectra as pointed $(\infty,\mathbb{Z})$-categories

Abstract:Lessard's $\mathbb{Z}$-categories are an analogue of $\omega$-categories possessing cells in all positive and negative dimensions. Categorical spectra, developed by Stefanich, are an analogue of spectra obtained by replacing the suspension of pointed $\infty$-groupoids by that of pointed $(\infty,\omega)$-categories. We give an $\infty$-categorical definition of weak $\mathbb{Z}$-categories (alias $(\infty,\mathbb{Z})$-categories), and show categorical spectra to be equivalent to pointed $(\infty,\mathbb{Z})$-categories. In particular, we show that the stable cells of categorical spectra coincide with the natural cells of $(\infty,\mathbb{Z})$-categories, and recover Lessard's description of spectra as pointed weak $\mathbb{Z}$-groupoids.

Abstract:We study various characterizations of higher sites over a given $\infty$-category $\mathcal{C}$ which are conceptually in line with their classical ordinary categorical counterparts, and extract some new results about $\infty$-topos theory from them. First, in terms of formal $(\infty,2)$-category theory, we define a notion of higher Lawvere-Tierney operators on $\infty$-toposes which internalizes a parametrized version of the left exact modalities of Anel, Biedermann, Finster and Joyal and the left exact modalities of Rijke, Shulman and Spitters. Second, in the spirit of Lawvere's hyperdoctrines, we describe the $\infty$-toposes embedded in the $\infty$-category $\hat{\mathcal{C}}$ of presheaves over $\mathcal{C}$ as the sheaves of ideals of what we call the logical structure sheaf on $\mathcal{C}$. This naturally induces a notion of ''geometric kernels'' on $\mathcal{C}$ which play the part of higher Grothendieck topologies from the given perspective. Lastly, we study the $\infty$-category of cartesian $(\infty,1)$-sites. We generalize the notion of canonical Grothendieck topologies from Lurie's book appropriately to all geometric kernels and show an according ''Comparison Lemma'' in the best case scenario. However, we show that a corresponding topological version of the lemma in the context of Grothendieck topologies fails.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of categorical absorption of singularities: an operation that removes from the derived category of a singular variety a small admissible subcategory responsible for singularity and leaves a smooth and proper category. We construct (under appropriate assumptions) a categorical absorption for a projective variety $X$ with isolated ordinary double points. We further show that for any smoothing $\mathcal{X}/B$ of $X$ over a smooth curve $B$, the smooth part of the derived category of $X$ extends to a smooth and proper over $B$ family of triangulated subcategories in the fibers of $\mathcal{X}$.

Such non-invertible symmetries lead to a generalization of the standard Landau paradigm. Abstract:We consider the homotopy category of complexes of projective modules over any gentle algebra. We prove that indecomposable $\Sigma$-pure-injective objects in s must be shifts of string or band complexes. We begin with a survey of purity in compactly generated triangulated categories, recalling some characterisations of $\Sigma$-pure-injective objects that mimic classical results from the model theory of modules. We then specify to the aforementioned homotopy category, and describe the compact objects in this case. Our proof uses a recent adaptation of a classification technique known as the functorial filtrations method. One of the key steps in our employment of this method is an interpretation of the appropriate linear relations in terms of pp formulas in a canonical multi-sorted language.

Manifold Diagrams for Higher Categories

Abstract:We develop a graphical calculus of manifold diagrams which generalises string and surface diagrams to arbitrary dimensions. Manifold diagrams are pasting diagrams for $(\infty, n)$-categories that admit a semi-strict composition operation for which associativity and unitality is strict. The weak interchange law satisfied by composition of manifold diagrams is determined geometrically through isotopies of diagrams. By building upon framed combinatorial topology, we can classify critical points in isotopies at which the arrangement of cells changes. This allows us to represent manifold diagrams combinatorially and use them as shapes with which to probe $(\infty, n)$-categories, presented as $n$-fold Segal spaces. Moreover, for any system of labels for the singularities in a manifold diagram, we show how to generate a free $(\infty, n)$-category.

Abstract:We construct two model structures, whose fibrant objects capture the notions of discrete fibrations and of Grothendieck fibrations over a category $\mathcal{C}$. For the discrete case, we build a model structure on the slice $\mathrm{Cat}_{/\mathcal{C}}$, Quillen equivalent to the projective model structure on $[\mathcal{C}^{\mathrm{op}},\mathrm{Set}]$ via the classical category of elements construction. The cartesian case requires the use of markings, and we define a model structure on the slice $\mathrm{Cat}^+_{/\mathcal{C}}$, Quillen equivalent to the projective model structure on $[\mathcal{C}^{\mathrm{op}},\mathrm{Cat}]$ via a marked version of the Grothendieck construction. We further show that both of these model structures have the expected interactions with their $\infty$-counterparts; namely, with the contravariant model structure on $\mathrm{sSet}_{/ N\mathcal{C}}$ and with Lurie's cartesian model structure on $\mathrm{sSet}^+_{/ N\mathcal{C}}$.
