Abstract:In the present paper, Tachibana operatory is applied to an invariant submanifold of a lorentzian trans-Sasakian manifold by means of through various tensors and the results obtained are discussed in terms of geometry. Finally, we give a non-trivial example in order to our results illustrate.

Abstract: We prove that the period map from the Torelli space of Calabi--Yau type manifolds to the period domain of polarized Hodge structures is injective. Abstract: We describe the proof that the period map from the Torelli space of Calabi-Yau manifolds to the classifying space of polarized Hodge structures is an embedding. The proof is based on the constructions of holomorphic affine structure on the Teichm\"uller space and Hodge metric completion of the Torelli space. Abstract:The authors consider ±(Φ, J)-holomorphic maps from Sasakian manifolds into Kähler manifolds, which can be seen as counterparts of holomorphic maps in Kähler geometry. It is proved that those maps must be harmonic and basic. Then a Schwarz lemma for those maps is obtained. On the other hand, an invariant in its basic homotopic class is obtained. Moreover, the invariant is just held in the class of basic maps.

Abstract:We consider analytic maps and vector fields defined in $\mathbb{R}^2 \times \mathbb{T}^d$, having a $d$-dimensional invariant torus $\mathcal{T}$. The map (resp. vector field) restricted to $\mathcal{T}$ defines a rotation of frequency $\omega$, and its derivative restricted to transversal directions to $\mathcal{T}$ does not diagonalize. In this context, we give conditions on the coefficients of the nonlinear terms of the map (resp. vector field) under which $\mathcal{T}$ possesses stable and unstable invariant manifolds, and we show that such invariant manifolds are analyitic away from the invariant torus. We also provide effective algorithms to compute approximations of parameterizations of the invariant manifolds, and present some applications of the results.

Construction of special Lagrangian submanifolds of the Taub-NUT manifold and the Atiyah-Hitchin manifold

Abstract:We construct special Lagrangian submanifolds of the Taub-NUT manifold and the Atiyah-Hitchin manifold by combining the generalized Legendre transform approach and the moment map technique. The generalized Legendre transform approach provides a formulation to construct hyperkähler manifolds and can make their Calabi-Yau structures manifest. In this approach, the Kähler $2$-forms and the holomorphic volume forms can be written in terms of holomorphic coordinates, which are convenient to employ the moment map technique. This technique derives the condition that a submanifold in the Calabi-Yau manifold is special Lagrangian. For the Taub-NUT manifold and the Atiyah-Hitchin manifold, by the moment map technique, special Lagrangian submanifolds are obtained as a one-parameter family of the orbits corresponding to Hamiltonian action with respect to their Kähler 2-forms. The resultant special Lagrangian submanifolds have cohomogeneity-one symmetry. To demonstrate that our method is useful, we recover the conditions for the special Lagrangian submanifold of the Taub-NUT manifold which is invariant under the tri-holomorphic $U(1)$ symmetry. As new applications of our method, we construct special Lagrangian submanifolds of the Taub-NUT manifold and the Atiyah-Hitchin manifold which are invariant under the action of a Lie subgroup of $SO(3)$. In these constructions, our conditions for being special Lagrangian are expressed by ordinary differential equations (ODEs) with respect to the one-parameters. We numerically give solution curves for the ODEs which specify the special Lagrangian submanifolds for the above cases.

Tangent Space of the Stable And Unstable Manifold of Anosov Diffeomorphism on 2-Torus

Abstract:In this paper we describe the tangent vectors of the stable and unstable manifold of a class of Anosov diffeomorphisms on the torus $\mathbb{T}^2$ using the method of formal series and derivative trees. We start with linear automorphism that is hyperbolic and whose eigenvectors are orthogonal. Then we study the perturbation of such maps by trigonometric polynomial. It is known that there exist a (continuous) map $H$ which acts as a change of coordinate between the perturbed and unperturbed system, but such a map is in general, not differentiable. By "re-scaling" the parametrization $H$, we will be able to obtain the explicit formula for the tangent vectors of these maps.

Abstract:In this paper we study compact Sasaki manifolds in view of transverse K\"ahler geometry and extend some results in K\"ahler geometry to Sasaki manifolds. In particular we define integral invariants which obstruct the existence of transverse K\"ahler metric with harmonic Chern forms. The integral invariant $f_1$ for the first Chern class case becomes an obstruction to the existence of transverse K\"ahler metric of constant scalar curvature. We prove the existence of transverse K\"ahler-Ricci solitons (or {\it Sasaki-Ricci soliton}) on compact toric Sasaki manifolds whose basic first Chern form of the normal bundle of the Reeb foliation is positive and the first Chern class of the contact bundle is trivial. We will further show that if $S$ is a compact toric Sasaki manifold with the above assumption then by deforming the Reeb field we get a Sasaki-Einstein structure on $S$. As an application we obtain irregular toric Sasaki-Einstein metrics on the unit circle bundles of the powers of the canonical bundle of the two-point blow-up of the complex projective plane.

Abstract:In the conformal (Möbius) geometry of submanifolds, using algebraic invariants of the shape operator to construct conformal invariants is a frequently used method. But it does not apply to [Formula: see text]-dim Lorentzian hypersurfaces of the last type, the minimal polynomial of whose shape operator has a triple root. In this paper, using the obstruction of some distribution to be integrable, a new method to construct conformal invariants is introduced. Using this method, a complete conformal invariant system is constructed for generic conformally flat Lorentzian hypersurfaces of the last type. We find that such kind of hypersurfaces allows an infinite parameter family of non-equivalent deformations, which implies they are more abundant than the other three types. For non-generic conformally flat Lorentzian hypersurfaces of the last type, the isometric geometry is studied and a fundamental theorem is obtained in this paper.

Abstract:We give a complete list, for $n \leq 6$, of non-isometric $\mathbb{T}^n$-invariant Kaehler-Einstein manifolds immersed in a finite dimensional complex projective space endowed with the Fubini-Study metric. This solves, in the aforementioned case, a classical and long-staying problem addressed among others by Calabi and Chern.

Abstract:A nonstandard invariant fourth order operator acting on functions on a manifold equipped with an almost Grassmannian structure with an arbitrary trorsion is found by means of the curved translation principle. This operator can be viewed as a Grassmannian analogue of the Paneitz operator well known from conformal geometry. It is obtained by translating a Grassmannian analogue of the Laplace operator to a certain tractor bundle with a specific tractor connection, which is not normal in general.

Abstract:We prove a priori estimates for a class of transverse fully nonlinear equations on Sasakian manifolds and give some geometric applications such as the transversion Calabi-Yau theorem for transverse balanced and (strongly) Gauduchon metrics. We also explain that similar results hold on compact oriented, taut, transverse Hermitian foliated manifold of complex co-dimension $n$, and give some geometric applications such as the transverse Calabi-Yau theorems for transverse Hermitian and (strongly) Gauduchon metrics.

Abstract:A Lorentzian Lie group is a Lie group endowed with a left invariant Lorentzian metric. We study left-invariant Codazzi tensors on Lorentzian Lie groups. We obtain new results on left-invariant Lorentzian metrics with harmonic curvature and non-parallel Ricci operator. In contrast to the Riemannian case, the Ricci operator of a let-invariant Lorentzian metric can be of four types: diagonal, of type $\{n-2,z\bar{z}\}$, of type $\{n,a2\}$ and of type $\{n,a3\}$. We first describe Lorentzian Lie algebras with a non-diagonal Codazzi operator and with these descriptions in mind, we study three classes of Lorentzian Lie groups with harmonic curvature. Namely, we give a complete description of the Lie algebra of Lorentzian Lie groups having harmonic curvature and where the Ricci operator is non-diagonal and its diagonal part consists of one real eigenvalue $\alpha$.

Abstract:We discuss (arbitrary-dimensional) Lorentzian manifolds and the scalar polynomial curvature invariants constructed from the Riemann tensor and its covariant derivatives. Recently, we have shown that in four dimensions a Lorentzian spacetime metric is either $\mathcal{I}$-non-degenerate, and hence locally characterized by its scalar polynomial curvature invariants, or is a degenerate Kundt spacetime. We present a number of results that generalize these results to higher dimensions and discuss their consequences and potential physical applications.

Abstract:The notion of a generic curved noncommutative torus is considered, which extends the notion of a conformally deformed noncommutative torus introduced by Connes and Tretkoff. For this manifold, an asymptotic expansion is established for the heat semigroup generated by the Laplace–Beltrami operator (in fact, for an arbitrary selfadjoint positive elliptic differential operator of order 2 2 ) and an algorithm is provided to compute the local invariants that arize as the coefficients in the expansion. This allows one to extend a series of previous results by several authors beyond the conformal case and/or for multidimensional tori.

A Global Coordinate-Free Approach to Invariant Contraction on Homogeneous Manifolds

Abstract:In this work, we provide a global condition for contraction with respect to an invariant Riemannian metric on reductive homogeneous spaces. Using left-invariant frames, vector fields on the manifold are horizontally lifted to the ambient Lie group, where the Levi-Civita connection is globally characterized as a real matrix multiplication. By linearizing in these left-invariant frames, we characterize contraction using matrix measures on real square matrices, avoiding the use of local charts. Applying this global condition, we provide a necessary condition for a prescribed subset of the manifold to possibly admit a contracting system with respect to an invariant metric. Applied to the sphere, this condition implies that no closed hemisphere can be contained in a contraction region. Finally, we apply our results to compute reachable sets for an attitude control problem.

Abstract:In this work, we aim to investigate the characteristics of the Bach and Cotton tensors on Lorentzian manifolds, particularly those admitting a semi-symmetric metric ω-connection. First, we prove that a Lorentzian manifold admitting a semi-symmetric metric ω-connection with a parallel Cotton tensor is quasi-Einstein and Bach flat. Next, we show that any quasi-Einstein Lorentzian manifold admitting a semi-symmetric metric ω-connection is Bach flat.

Abstract:The focus of this paper revolves around investigating the harmonicity aspects of various mappings. Firstly, we explore the harmonicity of the canonical projection π : TM → M, where M denotes a Riemannian manifold and TM its associated tangent bundle. Additionally, we delve into the harmonicity of vector fields ξ ∈ χ (M) , treated as mappings from M to TM. Moreover, our exploration extends to situations such as the case involving the map π : (TM, ̃g) → (M2n, J, g), where (M2n, J, g) represents an anti-paraKähler manifold and (TM, ̃g) its tangent bundle with the ciconia metric. In this context, we delve into the harmonicity relations between the ciconia metric ̃g and the Sasaki metric Sg, examining their mutual interactions. Furthermore, we delve into the Schoutan-Van Kampen connection and the Vranceanu connection, both associated with the Levi-Civita connection of the ciconia metric. We also undertake the computation of the mean connections for the Schoutan-Van Kampen and Vranceanu connections, thereby shedding light on their properties. Finally, our investigation extends to the second fundamental form of the identity mapping from (TM, ̃g) to (TM,∇m) and (TM, ∇∗m). Here ∇m and ∇∗m represent the mean connections associated with the Schoutan-Van Kampen and Vranceanu connections, respectively.
