Abstract:Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW) deformations of Artin-Schelter regular algebras are skew Calabi- Yau. We prove that the Nakayama automorphisms of such PBW deformations can be obtained from their homogenizations. Some Calabi-Yau properties are generalized without Koszul assumption. We also show that the Nakayama automorphisms of such PBW deformations control Hopf actions on them.

Abstract:Koszul and homogeneous Koszul algebras were defined by Priddy in \cite{Priddy1970}. There exist some relations between these algebras and the skew PBW extensions introduced in \cite{LezamaGallego}. In this paper we give conditions to guarantee that skew PBW extensions over fields are Koszul or homogeneous Koszul. We also show that a constant skew PBW extension of a field is a PBW deformation of its homogeneous version.

Abstract:Pre-Koszul and Koszul algebras were defined by Priddy. There exist some relations between these algebras and the skew PBW extensions defined. We have established conditions to guarantee that skew PBW extensions over fields it turns out homogeneous pre-Koszul or Koszul algebra. In this paper we complement these results defining graded skew PBW extensions and showing that if R is a finite presented Koszul K-algebra then every graded skew PBW extension of R is Koszul.

Abstract:In this paper, we develop the PBW theory for the bosonic extension $\qbA{\g}$ of a quantum group $\mathcal{U}_q(\g)$ of \emph{any} finite type. When $\g$ belongs to the class of \emph{simply-laced type}, the algebra $\qbA{\g}$ arises from the quantum Grothendieck ring of the Hernandez-Leclerc category over quantum affine algebras of untwisted affine types. We introduce and investigate a symmetric bilinear form $\pair{\ , \ }$ on $\qbA{\g}$ which is invariant under the braid group actions $\bT_i$ on $\qbA{\g}$, and study the adjoint operators $\Ep_{i,p}$ and $\Es_{i,p}$ with respect to $\pair{\ , \ }$. It turns out that the adjoint operators $\Ep_{i,p}$ and $\Es_{i,p}$ are analogues of the $q$-derivations $e_i'$ and $\es_i$ on the negative half $\calU_q^-(\g)$ of $\calU_q(\g)$. Following this, we introduce a new family of subalgebras denoted as $\qbA{\mathfrak{g}}(\ttb)$ in $\qbA{\mathfrak{g}}$. These subalgebras are defined for any elements $\ttb$ in the positive submonoid $\bg^+$ of the (generalized) braid group $\ttB$ of $\g$. We prove that $\qbA{\mathfrak{g}}(\ttb)$ exhibits PBW root vectors and PBW bases defined by $\bT_\ii$ for any sequence $\ii$ of $\ttb$. The PBW root vectors satisfy a Levendorskii-Soibelman formula and the PBW bases are orthogonal with respect to $\pair{\ , \ }$. The algebras $\qbA{\g} (\ttb)$ can be understood as a natural extension of quantum unipotent coordinate rings.

Abstract:In this note, we study the Hilbert-Poincaré polynomials for the PBW-graded of simple modules for a simple complex Lie algebra. The computation of their degree can be reduced to modules of fundamental highest weight. We provide these degrees explicitly.

Abstract:By analysing the structure of the associated graded ring with respect to certain filtrations, we deduce a number of good properties of iterated local skew power series rings over appropriate base rings. In particular, we calculate the Krull dimension, prime length and global dimension in well-behaved cases, obtaining lower bounds to complement the upper bounds obtained by Venjakob and Wang.

Abstract:We examine the pointed protomodular category SKB of left skew braces. We study the notion of commutator of ideals in a left skew brace. Notice that in the literature, "product" of ideals of skew braces is often considered. We show that Huq=Smith for left skew braces. Finally, we give a set of generators for the commutator of two ideals, and prove that every ideal of a left skew brace has a centralizer.

Abstract:We provide descriptions for the moduli spaces $\text{Rep}(\Gamma, PU(m))$, where $\Gamma$ is any finitely generated abelian group and $PU(m)$ is the group of $m\times m$ projective unitary matrices. As an application we show that for any connected CW-complex $X$ with $\pi_1(X)\cong \mathbf{Z}^n$, the natural map $\pi_0(\text{Rep}(\pi_1(X), PU(m)))\to [X, BPU(m)]$ is injective, hence providing a complete enumeration of the isomorphism classes of flat principal $PU(m)$-bundles over $X$.

Abstract:In this work, multiplicities of zeros of skew polynomials are studied. Two distinct definitions are considered: First, $ a $ is said to be a zero of $ F $ of multiplicity $ r $ if $ (x-a)^r $ divides $ F $ on the right; second, $ a $ is said to be a zero of $ F $ of multiplicity $ r $ if some skew polynomial $ P = (x-a_r) \cdots (x-a_2) (x-a_1) $, having $ a_1 = a $ as its only right zero, divides $ F $ on the right. Neither of these two notions implies the other for general skew polynomials. We show that, in the first case, Lam and Leroy's concept of P-independence does not behave naturally, whereas a union theorem still holds. In contrast, we show that P-independence behaves naturally for the second notion of multiplicities. As a consequence, we provide extensions of classical commutative results to general skew polynomials. These include: (1) The upper bound on the number of (P-independent) zeros (counting multiplicities) of a skew polynomial by its degree, and (2) The equivalence of P-independence, Hermite interpolation and the invertibility of confluent Vandermonde matrices (for which we introduce skew polynomial Hasse derivatives).

Abstract:In order to study two-sided skew braces, we introduce the notion of weakly trivial skew braces. We give a classification of such skew braces and show that every two-sided skew brace is an extension of a weakly trivial skew brace by a two-sided brace. As a result, we obtain new and generalize known results relating the additive and multiplicative group of two-sided skew braces. Further, we show that two a priori different notions of prime and semiprime skew braces, as introduced by Konovalov, Smoktunowicz and Vendramin, coincide for two-sided skew braces.

Abstract:In this article we obtain uniform effective upper bounds for the projective dimension and the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of homogeneous ideals inside a standard graded polynomial ring $S$ over a field. Such bounds are independent of the number of variables of $S$, in the spirit of Stillman's conjecture and of the Ananyan-Hochster's theorem, and depend on partial data extracted from the beginning or the end of the resolution. In this direction, we extend a result of McCullough from 2012 regarding a bound on regularity in terms of half the syzygies to a bound on the projective dimension and the regularity of an ideal in terms of a fraction of the syzygies.

Abstract:We investigate deformations of a skew group algebra that arise from a finite group acting on a polynomial ring. When the characteristic of the underlying field divides the order of the group, a new type of deformation emerges that does not occur in characteristic zero. This analogue of Lusztig's graded affine Hecke algebra for positive characteristic can not be forged from the template of symplectic reflection and related algebras as originally crafted by Drinfeld. By contrast, we show that in characteristic zero, for arbitrary finite groups, a Lusztig-type deformation is always isomorphic to a Drinfeld-type deformation. We fit all these deformations into a general theory, connecting Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt deformations and Hochschild cohomology when working over fields of arbitrary characteristic. We make this connection by way of a double complex adapted from Guccione, Guccione, and Valqui, formed from the Koszul resolution of a polynomial ring and the bar resolution of a group algebra.
