Abstract:In this paper, we study the following nonlinear fractional Schrödinger equation where is a small parameter, is the fractional Laplacian operator, is a general potential which may vanish at infinity and is a general nonlinear function including both critical and subcritical cases, which may not satisfy the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition and the monotonicity condition on . Under some weaker assumptions on and , we establish the existence of positive solutions for problem (1) concentrating at a local minimum of as . Furthermore, the decay estimates for the positive solutions depending on the decay rates of the potential are obtained. The proofs of our main results are much more complicated than those in [3,15,21,32] due to the double effects of decaying potentials and nonlinearities without the condition and the monotonicity condition on . Indeed, we establish a unified approach to deal with equation (1) in which the nonlinearity satisfies Berestycki-Lions type conditions and the potential is non-vanishing or vanishing at infinity.

Abstract:We consider parabolic Schrödinger type equations associated to fractional powers of uniformly elliptic 2m-order operators with constant coefficients. Potentials and initial data are considered in suitable Morrey spaces. By means of perturbation techniques we prove that several properties of the problem with no potential are preserved. We also prove continuous dependence of solutions with respect to perturbations. To carry out the analysis a general abstract perturbation approach is developed, which broadens the results known in the literature.

Abstract:The existence of a solution to the parabolic system with the fractional Laplacian (−Δ) α /2 , α > 0 is proven, this solution decays at different rates along different time sequences going to infinity. As an application, the existence of a solution to the generalized Navier-Stokes equations is proven, which decays at different rates along different time sequences going to infinity. The generalized Navier-Stokes equations are the equations resulting from replacing −Δ in the Navier-Stokes equations by (−Δ) m , m > 0. At last, a similar result for 3-D incompressible anisotropic Navier-Stokes system is obtained.

Abstract:Goal of this paper is to study the asymptotic behaviour of the solutions of the following doubly nonlocal equation ( − Δ ) s u + μ u = ( I α ∗ F ( u ) ) f ( u ) on R N where s ∈ ( 0 , 1 ) , N ≥ 2 , α ∈ ( 0 , N ) , μ > 0 , I α denotes the Riesz potential and F ( t ) = ∫ 0 t f ( τ ) d τ is a general nonlinearity with a sublinear growth in the origin. The found decay is of polynomial type, with a rate possibly slower than ∼ 1 | x | N + 2 s . The result is new even for homogeneous functions f ( u ) = | u | r − 2 u , r ∈ [ N + α N , 2 ) , and it complements the decays obtained in the linear and superlinear cases in Cingolani et al. (2022); D’Avenia et al. (2015). Differently from the local case s = 1 in Moroz and Van Schaftingen (2013), new phenomena arise connected to a new “ s -sublinear” threshold that we detect on the growth of f . To gain the result we in particular prove a Chain Rule type inequality in the fractional setting, suitable for concave powers.

Under some suitable assumptions of the potential function V⁢(y){V(y)}, by using a finite-dimensional reduction method, combined with various local Pohazaev identities, we prove the existence of infinitely many solutions. Due to the nonlocality of the fractional Laplacian operator, we need to study the corresponding harmonic extension problem.

Abstract:We prove an exponential stability result for the small solutions of the Schrödinger–Poisson equation on the circle without exterior parameters in Gevrey class. More precisely we prove that for most of the initial data of Gevrey-norm smaller than small enough, the solution of the Schrödinger–Poisson equation remains smaller than for time of order . We stress out that this is the optimal time expected for PDEs as conjectured by Jean Bourgain in [18].

Abstract:The aim of the present paper is twofold:We carry on with developing an abstract method for deriving decay estimates on the semigroup associated to non-symmetric operators in Banach spaces as introduced in [10]. We extend the method so as to consider the shrinkage of the functional space. Roughly speaking, we consider a class of operators written as a dissipative part plus a mild perturbation, and we prove that if the associated semigroup satisfies a decay estimate in some reference space then it satisfies the same decay estimate in another—smaller or larger—Banach space under the condition that a certain iterate of the “mild perturbation” part of the operator combined with the dissipative part of the semigroup maps the larger space to the smaller space in a bounded way. The cornerstone of our approach is a factorization argument, reminiscent of the Dyson series.We apply this method to the kinetic Fokker-Planck equation when the spatial domain is either the torus with periodic boundary conditions, or the whole space with a confinement potential. We then obtain spectral gap estimates for the associated semigroup for various metrics, including Lebesgue norms, negative Sobolev norms, and the Monge-Kantorovich-Wasserstein distance W1.

Abstract:In the paper, we study the higher regularity and decay estimates for positive solutions of the following fractional Choquard equations: 0.1 (−Δ)su+λu=(Iα∗|u|p)|u|p−2uinRN,lim|x|→∞u(x)=0,u∈Hs(RN), where Iα=1|x|N−α , λ>0 is a constant, N⩾2 , s∈(0,1) , α∈(0,N) , p∈(N+αN,N+αN−2s) . Let Q be a positive solution of (0.1). We obtain an optimal decay estimate for Q and reveal the relation between p and the decay rate of Q for all p∈(N+αN,N+αN−2s) permitting p<2 . We skillfully use the properties of Bessel kernel to deduce our main result by iteration. Moreover, by the decay estimates, the stronger regular estimates for Q are obtained.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove the decay and scattering in the energy space for nonlinear Schrodinger equations with regular potentials in R-d namely, i partial derivative(t)u + Delta u-V(x)u + lambda vertical bar u vertical bar(p-1) u=0. We will prove decay estimate and scattering of the solution in the small data case when 1 + 2/d < p <= 1 + 4/d-2, d >= 3. The index 1 + 2/d is sharp for scattering concerning the result of Strauss [22]. This result generalizes the one-dimensional work of Cuccagna et al. [4] to all d >= 3.
