Abstract:It is an open problem to find cell decompositions of quiver Grassmannians associated to each cluster variable. We initiate a new approach to this problem by giving an explicit description for each individual subrepresentation. In this paper, we illustrate our approach for the Kronecker quiver.

Abstract:In the present paper we study the geometry of the closed Białynicki-Birula cells of the quiver Grassmannians associated to a nilpotent representation of a cyclic quiver defined by a single matrix. For the special case, where we choose subrepresentations of dimension $\mathbf{1}=(1,\dots,1)$, the main result of this paper is that the closed Białynicki-Birula cells are smooth. We also discuss the multiplicative structure of the cohomology ring of such spaces. Namely, we describe the so-called Knutson-Tao basis in context to the basis of equivariant cohomology that is dual to fundamental classes in equivariant homology.

Symplectic Grassmannians and Cyclic Quivers

Abstract:The goal of this paper is to extend the quiver Grassmannian description of certain degenerations of Grassmann varieties to the symplectic case. We introduce a symplectic version of quiver Grassmannians studied in our previous papers and prove a number of results on these projective algebraic varieties. First, we construct a cellular decomposition of the symplectic quiver Grassmannians in question and develop combinatorics needed to compute Euler characteristics and Poincaré polynomials. Second, we show that the number of irreducible components of our varieties coincides with the Euler characteristic of the classical symplectic Grassmannians. Third, we describe the automorphism groups of the underlying symplectic quiver representations and show that the cells are the orbits of this group. Lastly, we provide an embedding into the affine flag varieties for the affine symplectic group.

Abstract:A quiver representation assigns a vector space to each vertex, and a linear map to each arrow. When one considers the category $\textrm{Vect}(\mathbb{F}_1)$ of vector spaces ``over $\mathbb{F}_1$'' (the field with one element), one obtains $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations of a quiver. In this paper, we study representations of a quiver over the field with one element in connection to coefficient quivers. To be precise, we prove that the category $\textrm{Rep}(Q,\mathbb{F}_1)$ is equivalent to the (suitably defined) category of coefficient quivers over $Q$. This provides a conceptual way to see Euler characteristics of a class of quiver Grassmannians as the number of ``$\mathbb{F}_1$-rational points'' of quiver Grassmannians. We generalize techniques originally developed for string and band modules to compute the Euler characteristics of quiver Grassmannians associated to $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations. These techniques apply to a large class of $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations, which we call the $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations with finite nice length: we prove sufficient conditions for an $\mathbb{F}_1$-representation to have finite nice length, and classify such representations for certain families of quivers. Finally, we explore the Hall algebras associated to $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations of quivers. We answer the question of how a change in orientation affects the Hall algebra of nilpotent $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations of a quiver with bounded representation type. We also discuss Hall algebras associated to representations with finite nice length, and compute them for certain families of quivers.

Representations of Kronecker quivers and Steiner bundles on Grassmannians

Abstract:Let $\mathbb{k}$ be an algebraically closed field. Connections between representations of the generalized Kronecker quivers $K_r$ and vector bundles on $\mathbb{P}^{r-1}$ have been known for quite some time. This article is concerned with a particular aspect of this correspondence, involving more generally Steiner bundles on Grassmannians $\mathrm{Gr}_d(\mathbb{k}^r)$ and certain full subcategories $\mathrm{rep}_{\mathrm{proj}}(K_r,d)$ of relative projective $K_r$-representations. Building on a categorical equivalence first explicitly established by Jardim and Prata, we employ representation-theoretic techniques provided by Auslander-Reiten theory and reflection functors to organize indecomposable Steiner bundles in a manner that facilitates the study of bundles enjoying certain properties such as uniformity and homogeneity. Conversely, computational results on Steiner bundles motivate investigations in $\mathrm{rep}_{\mathrm{proj}}(K_r,d)$, which elicit the conceptual sources of some recent work on the subject.

Abstract:In this paper, any directed graph is called a quiver . We first introduce the notions of skeleton graph and reduced skeleton graph of K 5 and K 3,3 types. Then a complete classification of reduced skeleton graphs of K 5 and K 3,3 types is given. Moreover, as a specification of Kuratowski’s theorem, the precise characterization of non-planar cluster quivers from surface is obtained.

Abstract:The goal of this paper is to clarify the connection between certain structures from the theory of totally nonnegative Grassmannians, quiver Grassmannians for cyclic quivers and the theory of local models of Shimura varieties. More precisely, we generalize the construction from our previous paper relating the combinatorics and geometry of quiver Grassmannians to that of the totally nonnegative Grassmannians. The varieties we are interested in serve as realizations of local models of Shimura varieties. We exploit quiver representation techniques to study the quiver Grassmannians of interest and, in particular, to describe explicitly embeddings into affine flag varieties which allow us to realize our quiver Grassmannians as a union of Schubert varieties therein.

Abstract:Mirković introduced the notion of loop Grassmannian for symmetric integer matrix $\kappa$. It is a two-step limit of the local projective space $Z_{\kappa}^{\alpha}$, which generalizes the usual Zastava for a simply laced group $G$. The usual loop Grassmannian of $G$ is recovered when the matrix $\kappa$ is the Cartan matrix of $G$. On the other hand, Braverman, Finkelberg, and Nakajima showed that the Compactified Coulomb branch $\mathbf{M}_{Q}^{\alpha}$ for the quiver gauge theory with no framing also generalizes the usual Zastava. We show that in the case when $\kappa$ is the associated matrix of the quiver $Q$, these two generalizations of Zastava coincide, i.e $\mathbf{M}_{Q}^{\alpha}\cong Z_{\kappa(Q)}^{\alpha}$.

Abstract:In this note, we aim to review algorithms for constructing crystal representations of quiver Yangians in detail. Quiver Yangians are believed to describe an action of the BPS algebra on BPS states in systems of D-branes wrapping toric Calabi-Yau three-folds. Crystal modules of these algebras originate from molten crystal models for Donaldson-Thomas invariants of respective three-folds. Despite the fact that this subject was originally at the crossroads of algebraic geometry with effective supersymmetric field theories, equivariant toric action simplifies applied calculations drastically. So the sole pre-requisite for this algorithm's implementation is linear algebra. It can be easily taught to a machine with the help of any symbolic calculation system. Moreover, these algorithms may be generalized to toroidal and elliptic algebras and exploited in various numerical experiments with those algebras. We illustrate the work of the algorithms in applications to simple cases of , and .

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{X}$ be a skew-symmetrizable cluster Poisson variety. The cluster complex $\Delta^+(\mathcal{X})$ was introduced by Gross, Hacking, Keel and Kontsevich. It codifies the theta functions on $\mathcal{X}$ that restrict to a character of a seed torus. Every seed ${ \bf s}$ for $\mathcal{X}$ determines a fan realization $\Delta^+_{\bf s}(\mathcal{X})$ of $\Delta^+(\mathcal{X})$. For every ${\bf s}$ we provide a simple and explicit description of the cones of $\Delta^+_{\bf s}(\mathcal{X})$ and their facets using ${\bf c}$-vectors. Moreover, we give formulas for the theta functions parametrized by the integral points of $\Delta^+_{ \bf s}(\mathcal{X})$ in terms of $F$-polynomials. In case $\mathcal{X}$ is skew-symmetric and the quiver $Q$ associated to ${\bf s}$ is acyclic, we describe the normal vectors of the supporting hyperplanes of the cones of $\Delta^+_{\bf s}(\mathcal{X})$ using ${\bf g}$-vectors of (non-necessarily rigid) objects in $\mathsf{K}^{\rm b}(\text{proj} \; kQ)$.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce morphisms for matroids with coefficients (in the sense of Baker and Bowler) and quiver matroids. We investigate their basic properties, such as functoriality, duality, minors and cryptomorphic characterizations in terms of vectors, circuits and bases (a.k.a. Grassmann-Plücker functions). We generalize quiver matroids to quiver matroid bundles and construct their moduli space, which is an $\mathbb{F}_1$-analogue of a complex quiver Grassmannian. Eventually we introduce a suitable interpretation of $\mathbb{F}_1$-points for these moduli spaces, so that in 'nice' cases their number is equal to the Euler characteristic of the associated complex quiver Grassmannian.

Abstract:For a quiver with potential, we can associate a vanishing cycle to each representation space. If there is a nice torus action on the potential, the vanishing cycles can be expressed in terms of truncated Jacobian algebras. We study how these vanishing cycles change under the mutation of Derksen-Weyman-Zelevinsky. The wall-crossing formula leads to a categorification of quantum cluster algebras under some assumption. This is a special case of A. Efimov's result, but our approach is more concrete and down-to-earth. We also obtain a counting formula relating the representation Grassmannians under sink-source reflections.
Multilinear Hyperquiver Representations

Abstract:We count singular vector tuples of a system of tensors assigned to the edges of a directed hypergraph. To do so, we study the generalisation of quivers to directed hypergraphs. Assigning vector spaces to the nodes of a hypergraph and multilinear maps to its hyperedges gives a hyperquiver representation. Hyperquiver representations generalise quiver representations (where all hyperedges are edges) and tensors (where there is only one multilinear map). The singular vectors of a hyperquiver representation are a compatible assignment of vectors to the nodes. We compute the dimension and degree of the variety of singular vectors of a sufficiently generic hyperquiver representation. Our formula specialises to known results that count the singular vectors and eigenvectors of a generic tensor.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to the study of the quasitriangularity of Hopf algebras via Hopf quiver approaches. We give a combinatorial description of the Hopf quivers whose path coalgebras give rise to coquasitriangular Hopf algebras. With a help of the quiver setting, we study general coquasitriangular pointed Hopf algebras and obtain a complete classification of the finite-dimensional ones over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0.

Abstract:We describe CW decompositions of complex Lagrangian Grassmannians, that contain as subcomplexes, CW decompositions of real Lagrangian Grassmannians by Schubert-Arnol'd cells. The degrees of attaching maps are explicitly computed in terms of quantities that can be read off from the corresponding shifted Young diagrams of mixed type. The signs are determined by a choice of lexicographical ordering on coordinates. As an immediate consequence, we obtain the homotopy extension property for real and complex Lagrangian Grassmannians. We also show some torsion classes in the integral homology of the real Lagrangian Grassmannian are contractible inside the complex Lagrangian Grassmannian.

Abstract:Gabriel's Theorem states that the quivers which have finitely many isomorphism classes of indecomposable representations are exactly those with underlying graph one of the ADE Dynkin diagrams and that the indecomposables are in bijection with the positive roots of this graph. When the underlying graph is , these indecomposable representations are thin (either 0 or 1 dimensional at every vertex) and in bijection with the connected subquivers. Using linear algebraic methods we show that every (possibly infinite-dimensional) representation of a quiver with underlying graph is infinite Krull-Schmidt, i.e. a direct sum of indecomposables, as long as the arrows in the quiver eventually point outward. We furthermore prove that these indecomposable are again thin and in bijection with both the connected subquivers and the limits of the positive roots of with respect to a certain uniform topology on the root space. Finally we give an example of an quiver which is not infinite Krull-Schmidt and hence necessarily is not eventually-outward.

Abstract:Let $k$ be an algebraically closed field. The generalized or $n$-Kronecker quiver $K(n)$ is the quiver with two vertices, called a source and a sink, and $n$ arrows from source to sink. Given a finite-dimensional module $M$ of the path algebra $kK(n)=\mathcal{K}_n$, we consider its dimension vector $\underline{dim} M=(\dim_k M_1, \dim_k M_2)$. Let $\mathbf{F}=\{(x,y)\mid \frac{2}{n}x\leq y\leq x\}$, and let $(x,y)\in\mathbf{F}$. We construct a module $X(x,y)$ of $\mathcal{K}_n$, and we prove it to be elementary. Suppose that $\underline{dim} M=(x,y)$. We show that: if $M$ is an elementary module, then $x<2n$, and when $x+y=n+1$, the module $M$ is elementary if and only if $M$ is of the form $X(x,y)$.

On Some Quiver Determinantal Varieties

Abstract:We introduce certain quiver analogue of the determinantal variety. We study the Kempf–Lascoux–Weyman complex associated to a line bundle on the variety. In the case of generalized Kronecker quivers, we give a sufficient condition on when the complex resolves a maximal Cohen–Macaulay module supported on the quiver determinantal variety. This allows us to find the set-theoretical defining equations of these varieties. When the variety has codimension one, the only irreducible polynomial function is a relative tensor invariant. As a by-product, we find some vanishing condition for the Kronecker coefficients. In the end, we make a generalization from the quiver setting to the tensor setting.
