Abstract:A hyperk\"ahler manifold is defined as a Riemannian manifold endowed with
three covariantly constant complex structures that are quaternionically
related. A twistor space is characterized as a holomorphic fiber bundle $p:
\mathcal{Z} \rightarrow \mathbb{CP}^1$ possesses properties such as a family of
holomorphic sections whose normal bundle is $\bigoplus^{2n}\mathcal{O}(1)$, a
holomorphic section of $\Lambda^2(N\mathcal{Z})\otimes p^*(\mathcal{O}(2))$
that defines a symplectic form on each fiber, and a compatible real structure.
According to the Hitchin-Karlhede-Lindstr\"om-Ro\v{c}ek theorem (Comm. Math.
Phys., 108(4):535-589, 1987), there exists a hyperk\"ahler metric on the
parameter space $M$ for the real sections of $\mathcal{Z}$. Utilizing the
Kodaira-Spencer deformation theory, we facilitate the construction of a
hypercomplex structure on $M$, predicated upon more relaxed presuppositions
concerning $\mathcal{Z}$. This effort enriches our understanding of the
classical theorem by Hitchin-Karlhede-Lindstr\"om-Ro\v{c}ek.
What problem does this paper attempt to address?
This paper attempts to deepen the understanding of the Hitchin - Karlhede - Lindström - Roček theorem by combining Kodaira's complex analytic structure deformation theory. Specifically, the goal of the paper is to construct a hypercomplex structure by introducing more relaxed conditions based on the theorem proposed by Hitchin et al., and endow a hypercomplex structure on the parameter space, thereby enriching our understanding of the classical theorem.
### Main problems solved in the paper
1. **Deepen the understanding of the Hitchin - Karlhede - Lindström - Roček theorem**:
- This theorem establishes a two - way correspondence between hyperbolic Kähler manifolds and holomorphic fiber bundles on complex projective line bundles.
- The paper further explores this correspondence by introducing Kodaira's complex analytic structure deformation theory.
2. **Construct a hypercomplex structure**:
- Using Kodaira's deformation theory, the paper attempts to construct a hypercomplex structure on the parameter space \( M \), which requires more relaxed conditions to be met.
- Specifically, the paper defines a regular deformation space \( \mathcal{M}_X \) and constructs a hypercomplex structure by studying the properties of this space.
3. **Explore the deformation of complex manifolds**:
- The paper discusses in detail the deformation theory of complex manifolds and their compact complex sub - manifolds, especially by using the Kodaira - Spencer map to describe these deformations.
- These theories not only help to understand the local deformation of complex manifolds, but also provide the basis for constructing hypercomplex structures.
### Main methods and results
1. **Application of deformation theory**:
- The paper uses Kodaira's deformation theory to define the regular deformation space \( \mathcal{M}_X \) and proves that it has a complex manifold structure.
- By introducing conditions (3) and (3'), the paper shows how to derive the establishment of condition (3) from these conditions, that is, (1) + (3') ⇒ (3).
2. **Construction of hypercomplex structures**:
- The paper defines a parameter space \( M \) which consists of holomorphic sections, and the normal bundle of each section is isomorphic to \( L^{2n}O(1) \).
- Through these sections, the paper constructs a hypercomplex structure and proves that \( M \) is a smooth submanifold and has a hypercomplex structure.
3. **Specific theorems**:
- **Theorem 1.3**: Suppose \( Z \) is a complex manifold and there is an antipodal map \( \sigma \) on the complex projective line \( \mathbb{CP}^1 \). If \( Z \) satisfies conditions (1), (2) and (3), then \( M \) (that is, the set of real holomorphic sections in \( Z \)) is a non - empty smooth submanifold and has a hypercomplex structure.
### Conclusion
By combining Kodaira's deformation theory, the paper not only deepens the understanding of the Hitchin - Karlhede - Lindström - Roček theorem, but also successfully constructs a hypercomplex structure on the parameter space. These results provide new perspectives and tools for the study of complex geometry and hypercomplex geometry.
