Abstract:In the first of the series of papers devoted to our project ``Holomorphic Floer Theory" we discuss exponential integrals and related wall-crossing structures. We emphasize two points of view on the subject: the one based on the ideas of deformation quantization and the one based on the ideas of Floer theory. Their equivalence is a corollary of our generalized Riemann-Hilbert correspondence. In the case of exponential integrals this amounts to several comparison isomorphisms between local and global versions of de Rham and Betti cohomology. We develop the corresponding theories in particular generalizing Morse-Novikov theory to the holomorphic case. We prove that arising wall-crossing structures are analytic. As a corollary, perturbative expansions of exponential integrals are resurgent. Based on a careful study of finite-dimensional exponential integrals we propose a conjectural approach to infinite-dimensional exponential integrals. We illustrate this approach in the case of Feynman path integral with holomorphic Lagrangian boundary conditions as well as in the case of the complexified Chern-Simons theory. We discuss the arising perverse sheaf of infinite rank as well as analyticity of the corresponding ``Chern-Simons wall-crossing structure". We develop a general theory of quantum wave functions and show that in the case of Chern-Simons theory it gives an alternative description of the Chern-Simons wall-crossing structure based on the notion of generalized Nahm sum. We propose several conjectures about analyticity and resurgence of the corresponding perturbative series.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The main problems that this paper attempts to solve are about the theoretical basis and development of **exponential integrals** and their related **wall - crossing structures** in both finite - and infinite - dimensional cases. Specifically: 1. **Definition and Properties of Exponential Integrals**: First, the paper defines the concept of the exponential integral \(I(t)=\int_{C}e^{f/t}\text{vol}\) on a complex manifold \(X\), given a holomorphic function \(f:X\rightarrow\mathbb{C}\) and a fixed holomorphic volume form \(\text{vol}\). Here, \(C\) is an appropriate integration path, usually a non - compact real manifold, consisting of the gradient lines of \(\text{Re}(f/t)\). The paper explores the properties of these integrals, especially how the integration path changes as the parameter \(t\) varies and how this change is described by wall - crossing formulas. 2. **Wall - crossing Structures**: Wall - crossing structures are mathematical structures that describe how exponential integrals change when the parameter \(t\) crosses certain specific directions (called Stokes rays). These structures are known as Cecotti - Vafa wall - crossing formulas or 2D wall - crossing formulas in physics. The paper discusses in detail the definitions, properties of these wall - crossing structures and their relationships with de Rham and Betti cohomology. 3. **Comparison of de Rham and Betti Cohomology**: The paper explores the comparison isomorphisms between local and global de Rham cohomology and Betti cohomology in the finite - dimensional case. These isomorphisms are not only of great significance in mathematics but also the basis for understanding wall - crossing structures. Especially in the case of exponential integrals, these isomorphisms provide a natural bridge between de Rham and Betti cohomology. 4. **Generalization to the Infinite - Dimensional Case**: The paper also attempts to generalize these results to the infinite - dimensional case, especially in cases involving Feynman path integrals and complex Chern - Simons theory. The author proposes a conjectural method for dealing with infinite - dimensional exponential integrals and discusses the analyticity and resurgence properties of these integrals. 5. **Quantum Wave Functions and Chern - Simons Theory**: The paper further explores the structure of quantum wave functions, especially their applications in Chern - Simons theory. The author proves that in Chern - Simons theory, quantum wave functions can be used to describe wall - crossing structures and proposes several conjectures about the analyticity and resurgence of these structures. In conclusion, this paper aims to establish a comprehensive framework for understanding and analyzing exponential integrals and their related wall - crossing structures, especially their applications in complex geometry and quantum field theory. By combining the theories of de Rham and Betti cohomology, the paper provides new perspectives and tools for research in this field.
