Abstract:It is shown that the gentle one-cycle algebra $\Lambda(n-1,1,1)$ has Hall polynomials. The Hall polynomials are explicitly given for all triples of indecomposable modules, and as a consequence, the Ringel--Hall Lie algebra of $\Lambda(n-1,1,1)$ is shown to be isomorphic to its Riedtmann Lie algebra.

Abstract:In the present paper we prove that Hall polynomial exists for each triple of decomposition sequences which parameterize isomorphism classes of coherent sheaves of a domestic weighted projective line X over finite fields. These polynomials are then used to define the generic Ringel–Hall algebra of X as well as its Drinfeld double. Combining this construction with a result of Cramer, we show that Hall polynomials exist for tame quivers, which not only refines a result of Hubery, but also confirms a conjecture of Berenstein and Greenstein.

Abstract:Using the generators labelled by simple and sincere semisimple modules for the Ringel–Hall algebra Hq(n) of a cyclic quiver Δ(n), we give a presentation for the degenerate algebra H0(n). This is achieved by establishing a presentation for the generic extension monoid algebra of Δ(n). As an application, we show that both the degenerate Ringel–Hall algebra and the degenerate quantum affine sln admit multiplicative bases.

Abstract:In this paper we study the category Cm(P) of m-cyclic complexes over P, where P is the category of projective modules over a finite dimensional hereditary algebra A, and describe almost split sequences in Cm(P). This is applied to prove the existence of Hall polynomials in Cm(P) when A is representation finite and m≠1. We further introduce the Hall algebra of Cm(P) and its localization in the sense of Bridgeland. In the case when A is representation finite, we use Hall polynomials to define the generic Bridgeland–Hall algebra of A and show that it contains a subalgebra isomorphic to the integral form of the corresponding quantum enveloping algebra. This provides a construction of the simple Lie algebra associated with A.

Abstract:This is the first one of two papers studying the quantum group of sl∞ ∞ type via the Ringel-Hall algebra of A∞∞ type. For this we need to deal with finite-dimensional representations of the infinite-dimensional path algebra kA∞∞ over any field k. In the present paper, we first study the category of the finite-dimensional representations of kA∞∞ by determining all its indecomposable objects and their extensions explicitly ; then we investigate the Ringel-Hall algebra H(kA∞∞) for a finite field k. The main viewpoint of this investigation is to regard H(kA∞∞) as the direct limit of the Ringel-Hall algebra H(kA∞), and regard H(kA∞) as the direct limit of the Ringel-Hall algebra H(kAn). In particular, we get a PBWbasis of H(kA∞∞), and show that H(kA∞∞) coincides with its composition subalgebra.

Abstract:In this paper we define the modified Ringel-Hall algebra $\cm\ch(\ca)$ of a hereditary abelian category $\ca$ from the category $C^b(\mathcal{A})$ of bounded $\mathbb{Z}$-graded complexes. Two main results have been obtained. One is to give a new proof of Green's formula on Ringel-Hall numbers by using the associative multiplication of the modified Ringel-Hall algebra. The other is to show that in certain twisted cases the derived Hall algebra can be embedded in the modified Ringel-Hall algebra. As a consequence of the second result, we get that in certain twisted cases the modified Ringel-Hall algebra is isomorphic to the tensor algebra of the derived Hall algebra and the torus of acyclic complexes and so the modified Ringel-Hall algebra is invariant under derived equivalences.

Abstract:Let D(A) be the double Ringel-Hall algebra of a finite dimensional hereditary algebra A. The present paper shows that the BGP-reflection operators of D(A) coincide with Lusztig's symmetries (up to canonical isomorphisms) and satisfy the braid group relations on the whole double Ringel-Hall algebra D(A). Abstract:We generalize a result of M. Kapranov, O. Schiffmann, and E. Vasserot by showing that, for a number field $K$ with class number one, the spherical Hall algebra of $\overline{\operatorname{Spec}(\mathcal{O}_K)}$, where $\mathcal{O}_K$ is the ring of integers of $K$, is isomorphic to the Paley-Wiener shuffle algebra associated to a Hecke $L$-function corresponding to $K$.

Abstract:In the present paper, we show that the Ringel–Hall algebra of a finitary algebra over a finite field satisfies fundamental relations in a more general setting. By twisting the multiplication, we obtain the quantum Serre relations. Finally, certain relations between Ringel–Hall algebras of an algebra and its factor algebras are discussed.

Abstract:We investigate the structure of the double Ringel-Hall algebras associated with cyclic quivers and its connections with quantum loop algebras of $\mathfrak{gl}_n$, affine quantum Schur algebras and affine Hecke algebras. This includes their Drinfeld-Jimbo type presentation, affine quantum Schur-Weyl reciprocity, representations of affine quantum Schur algebras, and connections with various existing works by Lusztig, Varagnolo-Vasserot, Schiffmann, Hubery, Chari-Pressley, Frenkel-Mukhin, etc. We will also discuss conjectures on a realization of Beilinson-Lusztig-MacPherson type and Lusztig type integral forms for double Ringel-Hall algebras.

Abstract:We study Lie-Rinehart algebra structures in the framework provided by a duality pairing of modules over a unital commutative associative algebra. Thus, we construct examples of Lie brackets corresponding to a fixed anchor map whose image is a cyclic submodule of the derivation module, and therefore we call them cyclic Lie-Rinehart algebras. In a very special case of our construction, these brackets turn out to be related to certain differential operators that occur in mathematical physics.

Cohomology ring of n-Lie algebras.

Abstract:Natural graded Lie brackets on the space of cochains of n-Leibniz and n-Lie algebras are introduced. It turns out that these brackets agree under the natural embedding introduced by Gautheron. Moreover, n-Leibniz and n-Lie algebras turn to be canonical structures for these brackets in a similar way in which associative algebras (respectively, Lie algebras) are canonical structures for the Gerstenhaber bracket (respectively, Nijenhuis-Richardson bracket). This allows to define the corresponding cohomology operators and graded Lie algebra structures on the cohomology spaces in an uniform simple way by means of square zero elements.

Given $\mathfrak {n}_{+}$ as above, we provide an infinite collection of cyclic finite abelian subgroups of $SL_{3}(\mathbb {C})$ with the following properties. Let $G$ be any group in the collection, $Y=G\operatorname {-}\mbox {Hilb}(\mathbb {C}^{3})$, and $\Psi : D^{b}_{G}(Coh(\mathbb {C}^{3}))\rightarrow D^{b}(Coh(Y))$ the derived equivalence of Bridgeland, King, and Reid. We present an (explicitly described) subset of objects in $Coh_{G}(\mathbb {C}^{3})$, s.t. the Hall algebra generated by their images under $\Psi $ is isomorphic to $U(\mathfrak {n}_{+})$. Abstract:By counting with triangles and the octohedral axiom, we find a direct way to construct the Ringel-Hall algebra associated to a triangulated category with (left) homological-finite condition. Our formula is a refinement of that in Peng-Xiao [5] and provides a modified version of Toën’s formula in [7]. 1. Calculation with triangles Given a finite field k with q elements, let C be a k-additive triangulated category with the translation T = [1]. We always assume in this paper that (1) the KrullSchmidt theorem holds in C, i.e., any object in C can be decomposed into the direct sum of finitely many indecomposable objects, (2) the homomorphism space HomC(X, Y ) for any two objects X and Y in C is a finite dimensional k-space, and (3) the endomorphism ring EndX for any indecomposable object X is finite dimensional local k-algebra. Abstract:Based on the work of Ringel and Green, one can define the (Drinfeld) double Ringel–Hall algebra D(Q) of a quiver Q as well as its highest weight modules. The main purpose of the present paper is to show that the basic representation L(Λ0) of D(Δn) of the cyclic quiver Δn provides a realization of the q-deformed Fock space ⋀∞ defined by Hayashi. This is worked out by extending a construction of Varagnolo and Vasserot. By analysing the structure of nilpotent representations of Δn, we obtain a decomposition of the basic representation L(Λ0) which induces the Kashiwara–Miwa–Stern decomposition of ⋀∞ and a construction of the canonical basis of ⋀∞ defined by Leclerc and Thibon in terms of certain monomial basis elements in D(Δn).
Murnaghan-Type Representations of the Elliptic Hall Algebra

Abstract:We construct a new family of graded representations $\widetilde{W}_{\lambda}$ indexed by Young diagrams $\lambda$ for the positive elliptic Hall algebra $\mathcal{E}^{+}$ which generalizes the standard $\mathcal{E}^{+}$ action on symmetric functions. These representations have homogeneous bases of eigenvectors for the action of the Macdonald element $P_{0,1} \in \mathcal{E}^{+}$ generalizing the symmetric Macdonald functions. The analysis of the structure of these representations exhibits interesting combinatorics arising from the stable limits of periodic standard Young tableaux. We find an explicit combinatorial rule for the action of the multiplication operators $e_r[X]^{\bullet}$ generalizing the Pieri rule for symmetric Macdonald functions. Lastly, we obtain a family of interesting $q,t$ product-series identities which come from the analysis of certain combinatorial statistics associated to periodic standard Young tableaux.

Abstract:We construct an isomorphism between the preprojective cohomological Hall algebra of an arbitrary quiver and a positive half of the corresponding Maulik-Okounkov Yangian, which intertwines the respective actions on the cohomology of the Nakajima quiver varieties. We use this to prove a conjecture of Okounkov relating the character of the Maulik-Okounkov Lie algebra to Kac polynomials.

Abstract:We study the behaviors of cohomological Hall algebras and relevant subjects under an edge contraction. Given a quiver with potential and fix an arrow, the edge contraction is a way to construct a new quiver with potential. We show that there is an algebra homomorphism between the cohomological Hall algebras induced by the edge contraction, which preserves the Hopf algebra structure, Drinfeld double, mutation, and the dimensional reduction, and induces relations between scattering diagram and Donaldson-Thomas series.

Abstract:Let t be a positive integer and be a hereditary abelian category satisfying some finiteness conditions. We define the semi-derived Ringel-Hall algebra of from the category of -graded complexes and obtain a natural basis of the semi-derived Ringel-Hall algebra. Moreover, we describe the semi-derived Ringel-Hall algebra by the generators and defining relations. In particular, if t is an odd integer, we show that there is an embedding of the derived Hall algebra of the odd-periodic relative derived category in the extended semi-derived Ringel-Hall algebra.

Abstract:By using the Ringel-Hall algebra approach, we investigate the structure of the Lie algebra L(Λ) generated by indecomposable constructible sets in the varieties of modules for any finite-dimensional ℂ-algebra Λ. We obtain a geometric realization of the universal enveloping algebra R(Λ) of L(Λ), this generalizes the main result of Riedtmann. We also obtain Green’s formula in a geometric form for any finite-dimensional ℂ-algebra Λ and use it to give the comultiplication formula in R(Λ).
