Abstract:This paper introduces the concept of metric ideals in AL-monoids. We also examine the structure of AL-monoids and describe some of the properties of homomorphism and fundamentalisomorphism theorems.Additionaly we introduce and examine a direct product and subdirect products in AL-monoids.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the geometry of AL-monoids by introducing the concept of metric betweeness and its properties t1, t2,, B-linearity, D-linearity, lattice betweeness, B-linearity, and Dlinearity, segments and equilateral triangles. It is proved that there do not exist equilateral triangles in AL-monoids. It is also proved that any AL-monoid is ptolemaic.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the notion of Autometrized lattice ordered monoids (for short,AL-monoids) as a generalization to DRl-semi groups. We obtain the basic properties of AL-monoids. Also, we prove that Autometrized lattice ordered monoids are equationally definable. Furthermore, we show that AL-monoids are an optimal common abstraction of Boolean algebras and l-groups.

Abstract:In this paper, we give a systematic study on isotropic ideals of metric n-Lie algebras. As an application, we show that the center of a non-abelian (n+k)-dimensional metric n-Lie algebra (1< k< n+2), whose center is isotropic, is of dimension k-1. Furthermore, we classify (n+k)-dimensional metric n-Lie algebras for 1< k < n+2.

Abstract:The notion of bounded ideals is introduced for quasi-metric spaces. Such ideals give rise to a monad, the bounded ideal monad, on the category of quasi-metric spaces and non-expansive maps. Algebras of this monad are metric version of local dcpos of Mislove. It is shown that an algebra of the bounded ideal monad is a standard quasi-metric space of which the formal balls form a local dcpo; and that a continuous algebra is a standard quasi-metric space of which the formal balls form a local domain.

Abstract:The inclusion ideal graph of a commutative unitary ring $R$ is the (undirected) graph $In(R)$ whose vertices all non-trivial ideals of $R$ and two distinct vertices are adjacent if and only if one of them is a proper subset of the other one. In this paper, the metric dimension of $In(R)$ is discussed. Moreover, the structure of the resolving graph of $In(R)$ is characterized and as an application, we compute the strong metric dimension of $In(R)$.

Abstract:We characterize $M$-ideals in order smooth $\infty$-normed spaces by extending the notion of split faces of the state space to those of the quasi-state space. We also characterize approximate order unit spaces as those order smooth $\infty$-normed spaces $V$ that are $M$-ideals in $\tilde{V}.$ Here $\tilde{V}$ is the order unit space obtained by adjoining an order unit to $V.$ To prove these results, we develop an order theoretic version of the "Alfsen-Efffros' cone decomposition theorem" for order smooth $1$-normed spaces. (As a quick application of this result, we sharpen a result on the extension of bounded positive linear functionals on subspaces of order smooth $\infty$-normed spaces.)

Quantitative Algebras and a Classification of Metric Monads

Abstract:Quantitative algebras are $\Sigma$-algebras acting on metric spaces, where operations are nonexpanding. Mardare, Panangaden and Plotkin introduced 1-basic varieties as categories of quantitative algebras presented by quantitative equations. We prove that for the category $\mathsf{UMet}$ of ultrametric spaces such varieties bijectively correspond to strongly finitary monads on $\mathsf{UMet}$. The same holds for the category $\mathsf{Met}$ of metric spaces, provided that strongly finitary endofunctors are closed under composition. For uncountable cardinals $\lambda$ there is an analogous bijection between varieties of $\lambda$-ary quantitative algebras and monads that are strongly $\lambda$-accessible. Moreover, we present a bijective correspondence between $\lambda$-basic varieties as introduced by Mardare et al and enriched, surjections-preserving $\lambda$-accesible monads on $\mathsf{Met}$. Finally, for general enriched $\lambda$-accessible monads on $\mathsf{Met}$ a bijective correspondence to generalized varieties is presented.

Abstract:The main aim of the paper is to introduce the concept of metric duality in the category of topological Abelian groups that extends the classical notion of duality for normed vector spaces and behaves quite nicely for LCA groups (equipped with nice metrics). In particular, it is shown that each Polish LCA group admits a reflexive proper metric and, more generally, all LCA groups possess reflexive (proper) metric structures.

We also present several new examples of simple groups, such as metric ultraproducts of finite and infinite symmetric groups, linear groups, and interval exchange transformation groups. Using similar methods, we also examine concepts such as genericity, perfectness, and torsion.

Abstract:Factoring ideals in integral domains is a central topic in multiplicative ideal theory. In the present paper we study monoids of ideals and consider factorizations of ideals into multiplicatively irreducible ideals. The focus is on the monoid of nonzero divisorial ideals and on the monoid of $v$-invertible divisorial ideals in weakly Krull Mori domains. Under suitable algebraic finiteness conditions we establish arithmetical finiteness results, in particular for the monotone catenary degree and for the structure of sets of lengths and of their unions.

The Hamming Distance and the Fell Topology on AF Algebras

Abstract:We introduce a new metric on the ideal space of an AF algebra that metrizes the Fell topology. The novelty of this metric lies in the use of a Hamming distance type metric in its construction. Furthermore, this metric captures more of the ideal structure of AF algebras in comparison to known metrics on the Fell topology of an AF algebra. We explicitly test this on the C*-algebra of complex-valued continuous functions on a quantized interval by comparing our new metric with the dual Hausdorff distance on the ideals of this C*-algebras induced by the Hausdorff distance on the closed subsets of the quantized interval.

Invariant Metrics on Nilpotent Lie algebras

Abstract:We state criteria for a nilpotent Lie algebra $\g$ to admit an invariant metric. We use that $\g$ possesses two canonical abelian ideals $\ide(\g) \subset \mathfrak{J}(\g)$ to decompose the underlying vector space of $\g$ and then we state sufficient conditions for $\g$ to admit an invariant metric. The properties of the ideal $\mathfrak{J}(\g)$ allows to prove that if a current Lie algebra $\g \otimes \Sa$ admits an invariant metric, then there must be an invariant and non-degenerate bilinear map from $\Sa \times \Sa$ into the space of centroids of $\g/\mathfrak{J}(\g)$. We also prove that in any nilpotent Lie algebra $\g$ there exists a non-zero, symmetric and invariant bilinear form. This bilinear form allows to reconstruct $\g$ by means of an algebra with unit. We prove that this algebra is simple if and only if the bilinear form is an invariant metric on $\g$.

The analysis of such metrics is central to a number of important algorithmic problems involving the cut structure of weighted graphs, including the Sparsest Cut Problem, one of the most compelling open problems in the field of approximation algorithms. A generalized theory of ideals and algebraic substructures

Abstract:In 2011, a topic containing the concepts of upper and lower periodic subsets of (basic) algebraic structures was introduced and studied. The concept of ``upper periodic subsets'' can be considered as a generalized topic of ideals and sub-structures (e.g., subgroups, sub-semigroups, sub-magmas, sub-rings, etc.). Hence, it can be improved to a theory in every algebraic structure which extends many basic concepts including the ideals. This paper follows the mentioned goals and studies related to algebraic and topological aspects. For this purpose, first, we state an improved fundamental theorem about the unique direct representation of left upper periodic subsets and then introduce some extensions and generalizations. As a result of the study, we classify sub-semigroups and subgroups of real numbers and introduce some related topics and concenterable upper periodic subsets. We end the study with many research projects and some future directions of the theory.

Abstract:Let $R$ be a commutative ring with unity. The essential ideal graph $\mathcal{E}_{R}$ of $R$ is a graph whose vertex set consists of all nonzero proper ideals of \textit{R}. Two vertices $\hat{I}$ and $\hat{J}$ are adjacent if and only if $\hat{I}+ \hat{J}$ is an essential ideal. In this paper, we characterize the graph $\mathcal{E}_{R}$ as having a finite metric dimension. Additionally, we identify that the essential ideal graph and annihilating ideal graph of the ring $\mathbb{Z}_{n}$ are isomorphic whenever $n$ is a product of distinct primes. Also, we estimate the metric dimension of the essential ideal graph of the ring $\mathbb{Z}_{n}$. Furthermore, we determine the topological indices, namely the first and the second Zagreb indices, of $\mathcal{E}_{\mathbb Z_n}$.

Abstract:This paper aims to study bounded algebras in another perspective-dual ideals of bounded $ L $-algebras. As the dual concept of ideals in $ L $-algebras, dual ideals are designed to characterize some significant properties of bounded $ L $-algebras. We begin by providing a definition of dual ideals and discussing the relationships between ideals and dual ideals. Then, we prove that these dual ideals induce congruence relations and quotient $ L $-algebras on bounded $ L $-algebras. Naturally, in order to construct the first isomorphism theorem between bounded $ L $-algebras, the relationship between dual ideals and morphisms between bounded $ L $-algebras is investigated and that the kernels of any morphisms between bounded $ L $-algebras are dual ideals is proven. Fortunately, although the first isomorphism theorem between arbitrary bounded $ L $-algebras fails to be proven when using dual ideals, the theorem was proven when the range of morphism was good. Another main purpose of this study is to use dual ideals to characterize several kinds of bounded $ L $-algebras. Therefore, first, the properties of dual ideals in some special bounded $ L $-algebras are studied; then, some special bounded $ L $-algebras are characterized by dual ideals. For example, a good $ L $-algebra is a $ CL $-algebra if and only if every dual ideal is $ C $ dual ideal is proven.

Abstract:Let be an inclusion of -algebras. We study the relationship between the regular ideals of B and regular ideals of A . We show that if is a regular -inclusion and there is a faithful invariant conditional expectation from A onto B , then there is an isomorphism between the lattice of regular ideals of A and invariant regular ideals of B . We study properties of inclusions preserved under quotients by regular ideals. This includes showing that if is a Cartan inclusion and J is a regular ideal in A , then is a Cartan subalgebra of A / J . We provide a description of regular ideals in the reduced crossed product of a C -algebra by a discrete group.
