Abstract:The nonlocal Darboux transformation of the stationary axially symmetric Schr\"odinger equation is considered. It is shown that a special case of the nonlocal Darboux transformation provides the generalization of the Moutard transformation. Formulae for the generalized Moutard transformation are obtained. New examples of two - dimensional potencials and exact solutions for the stationary axially symmetric Schr\"odinger equation are obtained as an application of the generalized Moutard transformation.

Abstract:On the basis of the generalized invariant formulation, the invariant-related unitary transformation method is used to study the evolution of the quantum Dirac field in a time-dependent spatially homogeneous electric field. We solve the functional Schr?dinger equation for the Dirac field and obtain the exact solutions and corresponding total phase. The total phase includes both the dynamical phase and geometric phase (Aharonov-Anandan phase).

Abstract:On the basis df the generalized invariant formulation, the invariant-related unitary transformation method is used to study the evolution of a quantum Dirac field in Friedmann-Robertson-Walker spatially flat spacetime. We first solve the functional Schrodinger equation for a free Dirac field and obtain the exact solutions. We then investigate the way of extending the method to treat the case in which there is an interaction between the Dirac field and a scalar field.

Abstract:The Moutard transformation for a two-dimensional Dirac operator with a complex-valued potential is constructed. It is showed that this transformation relates the potentials of Weierstrass representations of surfaces related by a composition of the inversion and a reflection with respect to an axis. It is given an analytical description of an explicit example of such a transformation which results in a creation of double points on the spectral curve of a Dirac operator with a double-periodic potential.

Abstract:It is usually accepted that quantum dynamics described by Schrodinger equation that determines the evolution of states from one Cauchy surface to another is unitary. However, it has been known for some time that this expectation is not borne out in the conventional setting in which one envisages the dynamics on a fixed Hilbert space. Indeed it is not even true for linear quantum field theory on Minkowski space if the chosen Cauchy surfaces are not preserved by the flow of a timelike Killing vector. This issue was elegantly addressed and resolved by Agullo and Ashtekar who showed that in a general setting quantum dynamics in the Schrodinger picture does not take place in a fixed Hilbert space. Instead, it takes place on a non-trivial bundle over time, the Hilbert bundle, whose fibre at a given time is a Hilbert space at that time. In this article, we postulate a Schrodinger equation that incorporates the effect of change in vacuum during time evolution by including the Bogoliubov transformation explicitly in the Schrodinger equation. More precisely, for a linear (real) Klein-Gordon field on a globally hyperbolic spacetime we write down a Schrodinger equation that propagates states between arbitrary chosen Cauchy surfaces, thus describing the quantum dynamics on a Hilbert bundle. We show that this dynamics is unitary if a specific tensor on the canonical phase space satisfies the Hilbert-Schmidt condition. Generalized unitarity condition of Agullo-Ashtekar follows quite naturally from our construction.

Near soliton evolution for $2$-equivariant Schrödinger Maps in two space dimensions

Abstract:We consider equivariant solutions for the Schrödinger Map equation in $2+1$ dimensions, with values into $\mathbb{S}^2$. Within each equivariance class $m \in \mathbb{Z}$ this admits a lowest energy nontrivial steady state $Q^m$, which extends to a two dimensional family of steady states by scaling and rotation. If $|m| \geq 3$ then these ground states are known to be stable in the energy space $\dot H^1$, whereas instability and even finite time blow-up along the ground state family may occur if $|m| = 1$. In this article we consider the most delicate case $|m| = 2$. Our main result asserts that small $\dot H^1$ perturbations of the ground state $Q^2$ yield global in time solutions, which satisfy global dispersive bounds. Unlike the higher equivariance classes, here we expect solutions to move arbitrarily far along the soliton family; however, we are able to provide a time dependent bound on the growth of the scale modulation parameter. We also show that within the equivariant class the ground state is stable in a slightly stronger topology $X \subset \dot H^1$.

Abstract:In this paper we study the structure of the manifold of solitary waves in some deformations of SO(2) symmetric two-component scalar field theoretical models in two-dimensional Minkowski space. The deformation is chosen in order to make the analogous mechanical system Hamilton-Jacobi separable in polar coordinates and displays a singularity at the origin of the internal plane. The existence of the singularity confers interesting and intriguing properties to the solitary waves or kink solutions.

Abstract:Linearized solutions of SUGRA equations of motion are described in the pure spinor formalism by vertex operators. Under supersymmetry transformations, they transform covariantly only up to BRST exact terms. We identify the cohomology class which is the obstacle for exact covariance. Computations are simplified by using the formalism of quadratic algebras.

Abstract:We revisit the possibility of constructing non-invertible topological defects for the axial symmetry of massless QED, despite its ABJ anomaly. Dressing the defects with a topological quantum field theory with mixed $U(1)$ and $\mathbb{R}$-valued gauge fields, we are able to describe axial rotations of any rational or irrational angle. We confront our results with the existing proposals, in particular those that concern rational angles. We also provide the Symmetry TFT that reproduces the action of all such symmetry defects of QED. Finally, we discuss how similar techniques allow the study of condensation defects for a $\mathbb{R}$ global symmetry.

Abstract:In this paper, we present an explicit Darboux transformation of the generalized mixed nonlinear Schrodinger (GMNLS) equation. The compact determinant representation of then-fold Darboux transformation of the GMNLS equation is constructed and thenth-order solution is built. We further prove that only the even-fold Darboux transformation and the even-order solution of the GMNLS equation can, respectively, be reduced to the Darboux transformation and solution of the Kundu-Eckhaus equation. Furthermore, two different kinds of explicit one-soliton solutions of the GMNLS equation are constructed and discussed.

Abstract:In this work we present a new theoretical approach to interpreting and reproducing quantum mechanics using trajectory-guided wavelets. Inspired by the 1925 work of Louis de Broglie, we demonstrate that pulses composed of a difference between a retarded wave and an advanced wave (known as antisymmetric waves) are capable of following quantum trajectories predicted by de Broglie-Bohm theory (also known as Bohmian mechanics). Our theory reproduces the main results of orthodox quantum mechanics and, unlike Bohmian theory, is local in the Bell sense. We show that this is linked to the superdeterminism and past-future (anti)symmetry of our theory.

On the exact solution for the Schrödinger equation

Abstract:For almost 75 years, the general solution for the Schrödinger equation was assumed to be generated by a time-ordered exponential known as the Dyson series. We discuss under which conditions the unitarity of this solution is broken, and additional singular dynamics emerges. Then, we provide an alternative construction that is manifestly unitary, regardless of the choice of the Hamiltonian, and study various aspects of the implications. The new construction involves an additional self-adjoint operator that might evolve in a non-gradual way. Its corresponding dynamics for gauge theories exhibit the behavior of a collective object governed by a singular Liouville's equation that performs transitions at a measure $0$ set. Our considerations show that Schrödinger's and Liouville's equations are, in fact, two sides of the same coin, and together they become the unified description of quantum systems.

Abstract:The evolution of coupled fermions interacting with external axial-vector fields is described with help of the classical field theory. We formulate the initial conditions problem for the system of two coupled fermions in (3+1)-dimensional space-time. This problem is solved using the perturbation theory. We obtain in the explicit form the expressions for the leading and next to the leading order terms in the expansion over the strength of external fields. It is shown that in the relativistic limit the intensity of the fermion field coincides with the transition probability in the two neutrinos system interacting with moving and polarized matter.

Abstract:We generalize eigen-phase preserving (EPP) supersymmetric (SUSY) transformations to $N>2$ channel Schrödinger equation with equal thresholds. It is established that EPP SUSY transformations exist only in the case of even number of channels, $N=2M$. A single EPP SUSY transformation provides an $M(M-1)+2$ parametric deformation of the matrix Hamiltonian without affecting eigen-phase shifts of the scattering matrix.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider equations involving a class of nonlocal Monge-Ampere operators. We first establish some maximum principles, such as a narrow region principle and a decay at infinity. Then, by using the direct method of moving planes, we obtain the symmetry of solutions in an ellipsoid region and in the whole space. We also prove that the positive solutions are non-existence on the upper half space.
