Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence of various harmonic maps from Hermitian manifolds to Kaehler, Hermitian and Riemannian manifolds respectively. By using refined Bochner formulas on Hermitian (possibly non-Kaehler) manifolds, we derive new rigidity results on Hermitian harmonic maps from compact Hermitian manifolds to Riemannian manifolds, and we also obtain the complex analyticity of pluri-harmonic maps from compact complex manifolds to compact Kaehler manifolds (and Riemannian manifolds) with non-degenerate curvatures, which are analogous to several fundamental results in [28,Siu], [14,Jost-Yau] and [26, Sampson].

Abstract:We call a kind of mappings induced by a kind of weighted Laplace operator as complex valued kernel $\alpha$-harmonic mappings. In this article, for this class of mappings, the Heinz type lemma is established, and the best Heinz type inequality is obtained. Next, the extremal function of Schwartz's Lemma is discussed. Finally, the coefficients are estimated for the subclass of complex valued kernel alpha harmonic mappings whose coefficients are real numbers.

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{H}_0$ denote the set of all sense-preserving harmonic mappings $f=h+\overline{g}$ in the unit disk $\ID$, normalized with $h(0)=g(0)=g'(0)=0$ and $h'(0)=1$. In this paper, we investigate some properties of certain subclasses of $\mathcal{H}_0$, including inclusion relations and stability analysis by precise examples, coefficient bounds, growth, covering and distortion theorems. As applications, we build some Bohr inequalities for these subclasses by means of subordination. Among these subclasses, six classes consist of functions $f=h+\overline{g}\in\mathcal{H}_0$ such that $h+\epsilon g$ is univalent (or convex) in $\D$ for each $|\epsilon|=1$ (or for some $|\epsilon|=1$, or for some $|\epsilon|\leq1$). Simple analysis shows that if the function $f=h+\overline{g}$ belongs to a given class from these six classes, then the functions $h+\overline{\epsilon g}$ belong to corresponding class for all $|\epsilon|=1$. We call these classes as stable classes.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of a biharmonic Poisson kernel associated with certain pair of conformal boundary operators and present its explicit formula. With this powerful tool, we next establish the classification theorems of nonnegative solutions to a biharmonic equation on the upper half-space and unit ball with proper pairs of conformal boundary operators.

Abstract: Harmonic maps are nonlinear extensions of harmonic functions. They are critical points of natural energy functionals between Riemannian manifolds. Such type of problems appear in Physics, Geometry of Finance and the study of regularity and singularity uses methods from elliptic PDE, calculus of variations and geometric measure theory. In this paper, we present a general review of harmonic maps. It is a survey that aims to cover the main classical known results regarding the harmonic maps. We present results for the regularity, blow-ups and rectifiability for local minimizers, stationary harmonic maps and weakly harmonic maps.

Abstract:Harmonic morphisms are maps between Riemannian manifolds that pull back harmonic functions to harmonic functions. These maps are characterized as horizontally weakly conformal harmonic maps and they have many interesting links and applications to several areas in mathematics (see the book by Baird and Wood for details). In this paper, we study generalized harmonic morphisms which are defined to be maps between Riemannian manifolds that pull back harmonic functions to biharmonic functions. We obtain some characterizations of generalized harmonic morphisms into a Euclidean space and give two methods of constructions that can be used to produce many examples of generalized harmonic morphisms which are not harmonic morphisms. We also give a complete classification of generalized harmonic morphisms among the projections of a warped product space, which provides infinitely many examples of proper biharmonic Riemannian submersions and conformal submersions from a warped product manifold.

Abstract:The solutions of a kind of second-order homogeneous partial differential equation are called (real kernel) alpha-harmonic functions. The alpha-harmonic functions and their first-order partial derivative functions on unit disk are estimated using the $L^p$ norm of the boundary functions of the alpha-harmonic functions. A series of inequalities are obtained. In addition, when the alpha-harmonic functions are quasiconformal, their first-order partial derivative functions are estimated by the arc length of the domain boundary and the Lipschitz constant of the boundary functions. All of the inequalities obtained in this article are optimal or asymptotically optimal.

Abstract:In this paper, we study a class of parametric equilibrium problems governed by a trifunction. We apply the Fan-KKM theorem under new type of monotonicity and coercivity conditions for trifunctions to obtain the existence result of a solution for the equilibrium problem. For the solution map of parametric equilibrium problems, we obtain the Hölder-type Lipschitz-like property relative to a closed and convex set, which generalizes some existing results in the literature. We illustrate the application of our abstract results in the study of a new model of a fluid flow problem with slip and leak boundary conditions of frictional type.

Abstract:We prove that the solution map for a family of non-linear transport equations in $\mathbb{R}^n$, with a velocity field given by the convolution of the density with a kernel that is smooth away from the origin and homogeneous of degree $-(n-1)$, is continuous in both the little Hölder class and the little Zygmund class. For particular choices of the kernel, one recovers well-known equations such as the 2D Euler or the 3D quasi-geostrophic equations.

Abstract:It is known that there is no nonconstant bounded harmonic map from the Euclidean space R-n to the hyperbolic space H-m. This is a particular case of a result of S.-Y. Cheng. However, there are many polynomial growth harmonic maps from R-2 to H-2 by the results of Z. Han, L.- F. Tam, A. Treibergs and T. an. One of the purposes of this paper is to construct harmonic maps from R-n to H-m by prescribing boundary data at infinity. The boundary data is assumed to satisfy some symmetric properties. On the other hand, it was proved by Han-Tam-Treibergs-Wan that under some reasonable assumptions, the image of a harmonic diffeomorphism from R-2 into H-2 is an ideal polygon with n+2 vertices on the geometric boundary of H-2 if and only if its Hopf differential is of the form phi dz(2) where phi is a polynomial of degree n. It is unclear whether one can nd explicit relation between the coefficients of and the vertices of the image of the harmonic map. The second purpose of this paper is to investigate this problem. We will explicitly demonstrate some families of polynomial holomorphic quadratic differentials, such that the harmonic maps from R-2 into H-2 with Hopf differentials in the same family will have the same image. In proving this, we first study the asymptotic behaviors of harmonic maps from R-2 into H-2 with polynomial Hopf differentials phi dz(2). The result may have independent interest.

Abstract:VT -harmonic maps generalize the standard harmonic maps, with respect to the structure of both domain and target. These can be manifolds with natural connections other than the Levi-Civita connection of Riemannian geometry, like Hermitian, affine or Weyl manifolds. The standard harmonic map semilinear elliptic system is augmented by a term coming from a vector field V on the domain and another term arising from a 2-tensor T on the target. In fact, this geometric structure then also includes other geometrically defined maps, for instance magnetic harmonic maps. In this paper, we treat VT -harmonic maps and their parabolic analogues with PDE tools. We establish a Jäger–Kaul type maximum principle for these maps. Using this maximum principle, we prove an existence theorem for the Dirichlet problem for VT -harmonic maps. As applications, we obtain results on Weyl/affine/Hermitian harmonic maps between Weyl/affine/Hermitian manifolds, as well as on magnetic harmonic maps from two-dimensional domains. We also derive gradient estimates and obtain existence results for such maps from noncompact complete manifolds.

We investigate the relationship between the minimization problem and the Euler equation and give a simple proof of the existence of some nonhomogeneous 𝒜-harmonic equations by applying direct methods of the calculus of variations. Abstract:Due to the importance of the nonlinear partial differential equations in applied physics, many mathematicians and physicists are interesting to the nonlinear partial differential equations. One of the main tasks of studying the nonlinear partial differential equations is to obtain the exact solutions for the nonlinear partial differential equations. In this paper, we study the exact solutions of a generalized (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear partial differential equation. According to the modified hyperbolic function method and the traveling transformation method, the generalized (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear partial differential equation is changed into an ordinary differential equation. By taking the homogeneous balance between the highest order nonlinear terms and the derivatives of the highest order, we change the differential equation into an algebraic system. By solving the algebraic system, we obtain the solutions for the nonlinear partial differential equation. At last, some solutions and their figures are given by specific parameters. All the solutions conclude the triangle function solutions, the positive hyperbolic function solutions, and the hyperbolic triangle function solutions. These solutions exhibit the dynamics of nonlinear waves and the solutions are useful for the study on interaction behavior of nonlinear waves in shallow water, plasma, nonlinear optics and Bose–Einstein condensates.
