Abstract:We introduce a new family of monoidal categories which are cyclotomic quotients of the nil-Brauer category. We construct a monoidal functor from the cyclotomic nil-Brauer category to another monoidal category constructed from singular Soergel bimodules of type D. We conjecture that our functor is an equivalence of categories. Although we can prove neither fullness nor faithfulness at this point, we are able to show that the functor induces an isomorphism at the level of Grothendieck rings. We compute these rings and their canonical bases over any field of characteristic different from 2, and give diagrammatic descriptions of the corresponding primitive idempotents.

Abstract:The Soergel category B of a Coxeter system (W,S) is a bimodule category over a polynomial algebra on which W acts. It's a categorification of the Hecke Algebra of (W,S). In this article we give a combinatorial description of morphism spaces in B. As a corollary, we give an analogous description of the morphisms in O_0-proj, where O_0 is the principal block of the BGG category O. ----- La catégorie B de Soergel d'un système de Coxeter (W,S) est une catégorie de bimodules sur une algèbre de polynômes sur laquelle W agit. Abstract:There is an action of $\mathbb{Z}/2$ on the category of Soergel Bimodules of type $A_1 \times A_1$ induced by the nontrivial automorphism of its Dynkin diagram. We give an isotopy presentation by local generators and relations of the equivariantization of the category of Soergel Bimodules of type $A_1 \times A_1$ under this action. This is the first step in a program to describe and study the categories of equivariant Soergel Bimodules.

Singular support for G-categories

Abstract:For a reductive group $G$, we introduce a notion of singular support for cocomplete dualizable DG-categories equipped with a strong $G$-action. This is done by considering the singular support of the sheaves of matrix coefficients arising from the action. We focus particularly on dualizable $G$-categories whose singular support lies in the nilpotent cone of $\mathfrak{g}^*$ and refer to these as nilpotent $G$-categories. For such categories, we give a characterization of the singular support in terms of the vanishing of its generalized Whittaker models. We study parabolic induction and restriction functors of nilpotent $G$-categories and show that they interact with singular support in a desired way. We prove that if an orbit is maximal in the singular support of a nilpotent $G$-category $\mathcal{C}$, the Hochschild homology of the generalized Whittaker model of $\mathcal{C}$ coincides with the microstalk of the character sheaf of $\mathcal{C}$ at that orbit. This should be considered a categorified analogue of a result of Moeglin-Waldspurger that the dimension of the generalized Whittaker model of a smooth admissible representation of a reductive group over a non-Archimedean local field of characteristic zero coincides with the Fourier coefficient in the wave-front set of that orbit. As a consequence, we give another proof of a theorem of Bezrukavnikov-Losev, classifying finite-dimensional modules for $W$-algebras with fixed regular central character. More precisely, we realize the (rationalized) Grothendieck group of this category as a certain subrepresentation of the Springer representation. Along the way, we show that the Springer action of the Weyl group on the twisted Grothendieck--Springer sheaves is the categorical trace of the wall crossing functors, extending an observation of Zhu for integral central characters.

Braiding on complex oriented Soergel bimodules

Abstract:In this note, we study U(n) Soergel bimodules in the context of stable homotopy theory. We define the $(\infty, 1)$-category $\mathrm{SBim}_E(n)$ of $E$-valued U(n) Soergel bimodules, where $E$ is a connective $\mathbb{E}_\infty$-ring spectrum, and assemble them into a monoidal locally additive $(\infty, 2)$-category $\mathrm{SBim}_E$. When $E$ has a complex orientation, we then construct a braiding, i.e. an $\mathbb{E}_2$-algebra structure, on the universal locally stable $(\infty, 2)$-category $\mathrm{K}^b_{\mathrm{loc}}(\mathrm{SBim}_E)$ associated to $\mathrm{SBim}_E$. Along the way, we also prove spectral analogs of standard splittings of Soergel bimodules. This is a topological generalization of the type $A$ Soergel bimodule theory developed in a previous paper.

Abstract:The Hecke algebras for all symmetric groups taken together form a braided monoidal category that controls all quantum link invariants of type A and, by extension, the standard canon of topological quantum field theories in dimension 3 and 4. Here we provide the first categorification of this Hecke braided monoidal category, which takes the form of an $\mathbb{E}_2$-monoidal $(\infty,2)$-category whose hom-$(\infty,1)$-categories are $k$-linear, stable, idempotent-complete, and equipped with $\mathbb{Z}$-actions. This categorification is designed to control homotopy-coherent link homology theories and to-be-constructed topological quantum field theories in dimension 4 and 5.

Abstract:In a seminal work, Bessis gave a geometric interpretation of the noncrossing lattice $NC(W)$ associated to a well-generated complex reflection group $W$. Chief component of this was the trivialization theorem, a fundamental correspondence between families of chains of $NC(W)$ and the fibers of a finite quasi-homogeneous morphism, the $LL$ map. We consider a variant of the $LL$ map, prescribed by the trivialization theorem, and apply it to the study of finer enumerative and structural properties of $NC(W)$. In particular, we extend work of Bessis and Ripoll and enumerate the so-called "primitive factorizations" of the Coxeter element $c$. That is, length additive factorizations of the form $c=w\cdot t_1\cdots t_k$, where $w$ belongs to a given conjugacy class and the $t_i$'s are reflections.

Abstract:We give sufficient conditions for a Frobenius category to be equivalent to the category of Gorenstein projective modules over an Iwanaga-Gorenstein ring. We then apply this result to the Frobenius category of special Cohen-Macaulay modules over a rational surface singularity, where we show that the associated stable category is triangle equivalent to the singularity category of a certain discrepant partial resolution of the given rational singularity. In particular, this produces uncountably many Iwanaga-Gorenstein rings of finite GP type. We also apply our method to representation theory, obtaining Auslander-Solberg and Kong type results.
Galois order realization of noncommutative type $D$ Kleinian singularities

Abstract:Galois orders, introduced by Futorny and Ovsienko, is a class of noncommutative algebras that includes generalized Weyl algebras, the enveloping algebra of the general linear Lie algebra and many others. We prove that the noncommutative Kleinian singularities of type $D$ can be realized as principal Galois orders. Our starting point is an embedding theorem due to Boddington. We also compute explicit generators for the corresponding (Morita equivalent) flag order, as a subalgebra of the nil-Hecke algebra of type $A_1^{(1)}$. Lastly, we compute structure constants for Harish-Chandra modules of local distributions and give a visual description of their structure from which subquotients are easily obtained.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a group and $\Bbbk$ a commutative ring. All categories and functors are assumed to be $\Bbbk$-linear. We define a $G$-invariant bimodule ${}_SM_R$ over $G$-categories $R, S$ and a $G$-graded bimodule ${}_BN_A$ over $G$-graded categories $A, B$, and introduce the orbit bimodule $M/G$ and the smash product bimodule $N\# G$. We will show that these constructions are inverses to each other. This will be applied to Morita equivalence, stable equivalences of Morita type, singular equivalences of Morita type, and singular equivalences of Morita type with level.

Enhanced Auslander-Reiten duality and Morita theorem for singularity categories

Abstract:We establish a Morita theorem to construct triangle equivalences between the singularity categories of (commutative and non-commutative) Gorenstein rings and the cluster categories of finite dimensional algebras over fields, and more strongly, quasi-equivalences between their canonical dg enhancements. More precisely, we prove that such an equivalence exists as soon as we find a quasi-equivalence between the graded dg singularity category of a Gorenstein ring and the derived category of a finite dimensional algebra which can be done by finding a single tilting object. Our result is based on two key theorems on dg enhancements of cluster categories and of singularity categories, which are of independent interest. First we give a Morita-type theorem which realizes certain $\mathbb{Z}$-graded dg categories as dg orbit categories. Secondly, we show that the canonical dg enhancements of the singularity categories of symmetric orders have the bimodule Calabi-Yau property, which lifts the classical Auslander-Reiten duality on singularity categories. We apply our results to such classes of rings as Gorenstein rings of dimension at most $1$, quotient singularities, and Geigle-Lenzing complete intersections, including finite or infinite Grassmannian cluster categories, to realize their singularity categories as cluster categories of finite dimensional algebras.

Tilting sheaves for real groups and Koszul duality

Abstract:For a certain class of real analytic varieties with Lie group actions we develop a theory of (free-monodromic) tilting sheaves, and apply it to flag varieties stratified by real group orbits. For quasi-split real groups, we construct a fully faithful embedding of the category of tilting sheaves to a real analog of the category of Soergel bimodules, establishing real group analogs of Soergel's Structure Theorem and Endomorphism Theorem. We apply these results to give a purely geometric proof of the theorem of Bezrukavnikov and Vilonen which proves Soergel's conjecture for quasi-split groups.

Abstract:Using combinatorial properties of symmetric polynomials, we compute explicitly the Soergel modules for some permutations whose corresponding Schubert varieties are rationally smooth. We build from them diagram algebras whose module categories are equivalent to the subquotient categories of the BGG category $\mathcal{O}(\mathfrak{gl}_n)$ which show up in categorification of $\mathfrak{gl}(1|1)$-representations. We construct diagrammatically the graded cellular structure and the properly stratified structure of these algebras.

Abstract:We introduce a categorical analogue of Saito’s notion of primitive forms. For the category $\textsf{MF}(\frac{1}{n+1}x^{n+1})$ of matrix factorizations of $\frac{1}{n+1}x^{n+1}$, we prove that there exists a unique, up to non-zero constant, categorical primitive form. The corresponding genus zero categorical Gromov–Witten invariants of $\textsf{MF}(\frac{1}{n+1}x^{n+1})$ are shown to match with the invariants defined through unfolding of singularities of $\frac{1}{n+1}x^{n+1}$.
On two modular geometric realizations of an affine Hecke algebra

Abstract:In this paper we construct equivalences of monoidal categories relating three geometric or representation-theoretic categorical incarnations of the affine Hecke algebra of a connected reductive algebraic group $G$ over a field of positive characteristic: a category of Harish-Chandra bimodules for the Lie algebra of $G$; the derived category of equivariant coherent sheaves on (a completed version of) the Steinberg variety of the Frobenius twist $G^{(1)}$ of $G$; a derived category of constructible sheaves on the affine flag variety of reductive group which is Langlands dual to $G^{(1)}$. These constructions build on the localization theory developed by the first author with Mirković and Rumynin and previous work of ours (partly joint with L. Rider), and provide an analogue for positive-characteristic coefficients of a construction of the first author. As an application, we prove a conjecture by Finkelberg-Mirković giving a geometric realization of the principal block of algebraic representations of $G$.

Abstract:For a commutative Gorenstein Noetherian ring $R$, we construct an affine scheme $X$ solely from DG singularity category $S_{dg}(R)$ of $R$ such that there is a finite surjective morphism $X \rightarrow \mathrm{Spec}(R /I)$, where $\mathrm{Spec}(R /I)$ is the singular locus in $\mathrm{Spec}(R)$. As an application, for two such rings with equivalent DG singularity categories, we prove that the singular loci in their affine schemes have the same dimension.

Abstract:Let $G_\mathbb R$ be a connected real reductive group and let $X$ be the corresponding complex symmetric variety under the Cartan bijection. We construct a canonical equivalence between the relative Satake category of $G(\mathcal O)$-equivariant $\mathbb C$-constructible complexes on the loop space of $X$ and the real Satake category of $G_\mathbb R(\mathcal O_\mathbb R)$-equivariant $\mathbb C$-constructible complexes on the real affine Grassmannian. We show that the equivalence is $t$-exact with respect to the natural perverse $t$-structures and is compatible with the fusion products and Hecke actions. We further show that the relative Satake category is equivalent to the category of $\mathbb C$-constructible complexes on the moduli stack of $G_\mathbb R$-bundles on the real projective line $\mathbb P^1(\mathbb R)$ and hence provides a connection between the relative Langlands program and the geometric Langlands program for real groups. We provide numerous applications of the main theorems to real and relative Langlands duality including the formality and commutativity conjectures for the real and relative Satake categories and an identification of the dual groups for $G_\mathbb R$ and $X$.

Abstract:We define and study generalized nil-Coxeter algebras associated to Coxeter groups. Motivated by a question of Coxeter (1957), we construct the first examples of such finite-dimensional algebras that are not the “usual” nil-Coxeter algebras: a novel 2 2 -parameter type A A family that we call N C A ( n , d ) NC_A(n,d) . We explore several combinatorial properties of N C A ( n , d ) NC_A(n,d) , including its Coxeter word basis, length function, and Hilbert–Poincaré series, and show that the corresponding generalized Coxeter group is not a flat deformation of N C A ( n , d ) NC_A(n,d) . These algebras yield symmetric semigroup module categories that are necessarily not monoidal; we write down their Tannaka–Krein duality. Further motivated by the Broué–Malle–Rouquier (BMR) freeness conjecture [J. Reine Angew. Math. 1998], we define generalized nil-Coxeter algebras N C W NC_W over all discrete real or complex reflection groups W W , finite or infinite. We provide a complete classification of all such algebras that are finite dimensional. Remarkably, these turn out to be either the usual nil-Coxeter algebras or the algebras N C A ( n , d ) NC_A(n,d) . This proves as a special case—and strengthens—the lack of equidimensional nil-Coxeter analogues for finite complex reflection groups. In particular, generic Hecke algebras are not flat deformations of N C W NC_W for W W complex.
