Abstract:In this paper, we establish the estimates for the gradient and the second-order partial derivatives for the Stokes flow in the presence of two closely located strictly convex inclusions in dimension three. Moreover, the blow-up rate of the gradient is showed to be optimal by a pointwise upper bound and a lower bound in the narrowest region. We also show the optimal blow-up rate of Cauchy stress tensor. In dimensions greater than three, the upper bounds of the gradient are established. These results answer the questions raised in [25].

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is the estimation of stress concentration between two adjacent rigid inclusions in Stokes flow. Specifically, the author aims to establish the estimates of the velocity gradient and its second - order partial derivatives of Stokes flow when there are two strictly convex inclusions in three - dimensional space, and proves that the blow - up rate of the velocity gradient in the narrowest area is optimal through the analysis of pointwise upper and lower bounds. In addition, for cases greater than three - dimensional, the upper - bound estimate of the velocity gradient is also established. The solutions to these problems respond to the challenges proposed by Kang [25] regarding the extension to inclusions of general shapes and higher dimensions. The main contributions of the paper are as follows: 1. **Estimates in the three - dimensional case**: The author gives the optimal estimates of the velocity gradient and its second - order partial derivatives of Stokes flow when the distance between the two inclusions approaches zero. 2. **Estimates in the high - dimensional case**: For cases greater than three - dimensional, the author also provides the upper - bound estimate of the velocity gradient. 3. **Optimal blow - up rate of the Cauchy stress tensor**: Proves the optimal blow - up rate of the Cauchy stress tensor. These results are not only of great theoretical significance, but also have wide application value in the practical applications of materials science and fluid mechanics, especially when dealing with particle suspension problems in complex fluids.
