Abstract:In this paper the authors give the (Hp, Lp) boundedness of the singular integral operators and the (Hp,Lq) boundedness of the fractional integral operators for 0 p ≤1, respectively. The both of the singular integral and the fractional integral operators has variable integral kernel, which was first studied by Calderon and Zygmund.

Abstract:We show that a positive operator between $L^p$-spaces is given by integration against a kernel function if and only if the image of each positive function has a lower semi-continuous representative with respect to a suitable topology. This is a consequence of a new characterization of kernel operators on general Banach lattices as those operators whose range can be represented over a fixed countable set of positive vectors. Similar results are shown to hold for operators that merely dominate a non-trivial kernel operator.

Abstract:We introduce and study spaces of multivariate functions of bounded variation generalizing the classical Jordan and Wiener spaces. Multivariate generalizations of the Jordan space were given by several prominent researchers but each of them preserved only some special properties of the space used further in few selected applications. Unlike this the multivariate generalization of the Jordan space presented in this paper preserves all known and reveals some previously unknown properties of the space. These, in turn, are special cases of the basic properties of the introduced spaces proved in the paper. They, in particular, include results on discontinuity sets and pointwise differentiability of the bounded variation functions and their Luzin type and $C^\infty$ approximation. Moreover, the second part of the paper presents results on Banach structure of function spaces of bounded variation, namely, atomic decomposition and constructive characterization of their predual spaces and then constructive characterization of preduals of the last ones and following from here the so-called two-stars theorems relating second duals of separable subspaces of "vanishing variation" to the (nonseparable) spaces of bounded variation.

Abstract:The singular integral operator J Ω,α , and the Marcinkiewicz integral operator $\tilde \mu _{\Omega .\alpha } $ are studied. The kernels of the operators behave like |y|-n-α(a>0) near the origin, and contain an oscillating factor ei|y|-β (β>0) and a distribution ω on the unit sphere S n−1. It is proved that, if ω is in the Hardy space H r (S n−1) with 00), and satisfies certain cancellation condition, then T Ω,α and $\overline u _{\Omega ,\alpha } $ extend the bounded operator from Sobolev space L γ ρ to Lebesgue space L p for some p. The result improves and extends some known results.

Complex Analysis and Operator Theory

Abstract:Cauchy–Pompeiu and Bochner–Martinelli–Koppelman integral representation formulas in Clifford and complex analysis are related to Euclidean Dirac operator , operator , and two associated kernels. The article analyzes couples , where is a homogeneous first-order differential operator on with constant coefficients in a Banach algebra , and is a smooth kernel homogeneous of degree . Operator-kernel couples have integral representation formulas, which in addition to expected components include remainders. The two main results identify operator-kernel couples that yield Cauchy–Pompeiu and Bochner–Martinelli–Koppelman formulas. The formulas are used to derive quantitative Hartogs–Rosenthal theorems for such couples. The concepts of Dirac and semi-Dirac pairs of differential operators point out the role played by Laplace operators as part of the general approach.

Abstract:Abstract This paper is devoted to investigating the boundedness, continuity and compactness for variation operators of singular integrals and their commutators on Morrey spaces and Besov spaces. More precisely, we establish the boundedness for the variation operators of singular integrals with rough kernels Ω ∈ L q (S n −1 ) ( q > 1) and their commutators on Morrey spaces as well as the compactness for the above commutators on Lebesgue spaces and Morrey spaces. In addition, we present a criterion on the boundedness and continuity for a class of variation operators of singular integrals and their commutators on Besov spaces. As applications, we obtain the boundedness and continuity for the variation operators of Hilbert transform, Hermit Riesz transform, Riesz transforms and rough singular integrals as well as their commutators on Besov spaces.

Abstract:We extend the theory of distributional kernel operators to a framework of generalized functions, in which they are replaced by integral kernel operators. Moreover, in contrast to the distributional case, we show that these generalized integral operators can be composed unrestrictedly. This leads to the definition of the exponential, and more generally entire functions, of a subclass of such operators.

Abstract:The authors study the singular integral operator T_Ω ,α f(x) = p.v.∫_R^n b(| y |)Ω (y')| y |^ - n - α f(x - y)dy, defined on all test functions f , where b is a bounded function, a >0, Θ ( y ′) is an integrable function on the unit sphere S n −1 satisfying certain cancellation conditions. It is proved that, for n /( n+a )< p <∞, T Ω,α is a bounded operator from the Hardy-Sobolev space H a p to the Hardy space H p . The results and its applications improve some theorems in a previous paper of the author and they are extensions of the main theorems in Wheeden’s paper (1969). The proof is based on a new atomic decomposition of the space H a p by Han, Paluszynski and Weiss(1995). By using the same proof, the singular integral operators with variable kernels are also studied.

Abstract:In this work, we extend Wigner's original framework to analyze linear operators by examining the relationship between their Wigner and Schwartz kernels. Our approach includes the introduction of (quasi-)algebras of Fourier integral operators (FIOs), which encompass FIOs of type I and II. The symbols of these operators reside in (weighted) modulation spaces, particularly in Sjöstrand's class, known for its favorable properties in time-frequency analysis. One of the significant results of our study is demonstrating the inverse-closedness of these symbol classes. Our analysis includes fundamental examples such as pseudodifferential operators and Fourier integral operators related to Schr{ö}dinger-type equations. These examples typically feature classical Hamiltonian flows governed by linear symplectic transformations $S \in Sp(d, \mathbb{R})$. The core idea of our approach is to utilize the Wigner kernel to transform a Fourier integral operator $ T $ on $ \mathbb{R}^d $ into a pseudodifferential operator $ K$ on $ \mathbb{R}^{2d}$. This transformation involves a symbol $\sigma$ well-localized around the manifold defined by $ z = S w $.

Abstract:Within the context of rough path analysis via fractional calculus, we show how the notion of variability can be used to prove the existence of integrals with respect to Hölder continuous multiplicative functionals in the case of Lipschitz coefficients with first order partial derivatives of bounded variation. We verify our condition for a class of Gaussian processes, including fractional Brownian motion with Hurst index $H\in (\frac13, \frac12]$ in one and two dimensions.

Abstract:We represent by $\{W_{\lambda, t}^\alpha\}_{t>0}$ the semigroup generated by $-\mathbb L^{\alpha}_\lambda$, where $\mathbb L^{\alpha}_\lambda$ is a Hardy operator on a half space. The operator $\mathbb L^{\alpha}_\lambda$ includes a fractional Laplacian and it is defined by \[\mathbb L^{\alpha}_\lambda=(-\Delta)^{\alpha/2}_{\mathbb{R}^d_+}+\lambda x_d^{-\alpha}, \quad \alpha\in (0,2], \lambda \geq 0.\] We prove that, for every $k\in \mathbb N$, the $\rho$-variation operator $\mathcal{V}_\rho\left(\left\{t^k\partial_t^k W_{\lambda,t}^\alpha\right\}\right)$ is bounded on $L^p(\mathbb{R}^d_+, w)$ for each $1<p<\infty$ and $w\in A_p(\mathbb{R}^d_+)$, being $A_p(\mathbb{R}^d_+)$ the Muckenhoupt $p$-class of weights on $\mathbb{R}^d_+$.

We prove that, for 1< p < infinity, TOmega, extends to a bounded operator from the Sobolev space L(alpha)(p) to the Lebesgue space L(p) with Omega being a distribution in the Hardy space H(q)(S(n-1)) where q = n-1/n-1+alpha. The result extends some known results on the singular integral operators. As applications, we obtain the boundedness for TiOmega, alpha on the Hardy spaces, as well as the boundedness for the truncated maximal operator T*(Omega, m).

Abstract:Integral Hankel operators on vector-valued -function spaces are considered. Regularity (integrability) and compactness properties of the kernel are shown to give rise to quantifiable regularity and compactness properties of the Hankel operator, and consequently of the associated singular vectors (also called Schmidt pairs), which finds relevance in model order reduction schemes. As demonstrated, strong- Lebesgue and Sobolev spaces naturally arise in the case that U is infinite dimensional. The theory is illustrated with examples.
