Abstract:We present a study of mass spectra and electromagnetic couplings of $S$- and $P$-wave heavy baryons in the framework of a non-relativistic harmonic oscillator quark model. Particular attention is paid to the properties of heavy cascade baryons, $\Xi_Q$ and $\Xi'_Q$.

Abstract:We present a study of mass spectra and electromagnetic couplings of S- and P-wave baryons containing one, two or three heavy quarks, either charm (c) or bottom (b), in the framework of a non-relativistic harmonic oscillator quark model. A simultaneous fit to 41 known masses of heavy baryons (40 singly-heavy and 1 doubly-heavy) shows a r.m.s. deviation of 19 MeV. We present equal-spacing mass rules for excited baryons which may help to assign quantum numbers to experimentally observed heavy baryons. Explicit expressions are derived for electromagnetic couplings, both for spin-flavor matrix elements and radial integrals.

Abstract:The two heavy quarks in a baryon which contains two heavy quarks and a light one can constitute a scalar or axial vector diquark. We study the electromagnetic radiation of such baryons: (i) Xi ((bc)1)--> Xi ((bc)0) + gamma, (ii) Xi ((bc)1)*--> Xi ((bc)0) + gamma (iii) Xi ((bc)0)**(1/2,l)--> Xi ((bc)0) + gamma, (iv) Xi ((bc)0)**(3/2,l=1)--> Xi ((bc)0) + gamma, and (v) Xi (bc)0**(3/2,l= 2)--> Xi ((bc)0) + gamma, where Xi ((bc)0(1)),Xi ((bc)1)* are S-wave bound states of a heavy scalar or axial vector diquark and a light quark, and Xi ((bc)0)**(l greater than or equal to1) are P- Or D-wave bound states of a heavy scalar diquark and a light quark. The analysis indicates that these professes can be attributed to two categories and the physical mechanisms which are responsible for them are completely distinct. Measurements can provide good judgment for the diquark structure and a better understanding of the physical picture.

Abstract:A symmetry-preserving truncation of the strong-interaction bound-state equations is used to calculate the spectrum of ground-state $$J=1/2^+$$ , $$3/2^+$$ $$(qq^\prime q^{\prime \prime })$$ -baryons, where $$q, q^\prime , q^{\prime \prime } \in \{u,d,s,c,b\}$$ , their first positive-parity excitations and parity partners. Using two parameters, a description of the known spectrum of 39 such states is obtained, with a mean-absolute-relative-difference between calculation and experiment of 3.6(2.7)%. From this foundation, the framework is subsequently used to predict the masses of 90 states not yet seen empirically.

Abstract:In this paper, we presented the mass spectra of the doubly heavy $\Omega$ baryons containing one light (strange) quark and two heavy (charm and bottom) quarks. Our predicted masses can be consider to determine the $J^p$ value for the resonances detected by experimental facilities in future. The masses of ground excited states (1S-6S, 1P-3P, 1D-2D, 1F-2F) are calculated for all possible $J^p$ values, using the Hypercentral Constituent Quark Model (hCQM), by employing screened potential as confining potential with color-Coloumb potential. Regge trajectories are also plotted in $(J, M^2)$ plane for natural and unnatural parities. Doubly heavy Omega states are not declared yet by any experimental facility. We compared our results to the predictions gained from other theoretical approaches, and we found that our predictions are quite close to those of them. Other properties such as magnetic moment (for spin state $\frac{1}{2}$ and $\frac{3}{2}$) and radiative decay width are calculated using the enuerated masses.

Abstract:We report progress on calculations of the heavy-light baryons $\Sigma_c$ and $\Lambda_c$ and their excitations with $J^P = 1/2^+$ using functional methods. We employ a covariant quark-diquark approach, where the interaction amounts to a quark exchange between quarks and diquarks and the ingredients are determined from the quark level. A partial-wave analysis reveals the presence of orbital angular momentum components in terms of p waves, which are non-relativistically suppressed.

Abstract:Following the work of Capstick and Isgur [\href{<a class="link-external link-https" href="https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.34.2809" rel="external noopener nofollow">this https URL</a>}{Phys.~Rev.~D~34,~2809~(1986)}], we systematically study the mass spectrum of the heavy baryons in the relativized quark potential model with chromodynamics. Besides the original Godfrey-Isgur (GI) model, we also adopt a modified GI model which replaces the linear confinement by a screened one. The two models give similar results in our work. All heavy baryons observed so far can be explained as three-quark states. In particular, we identify the $\Omega_{c}(3000)$/$\Omega_{b}(6316)$, $\Omega_{c}(3050)$/$\Omega_{b}(6330)$, $\Omega_{c}(3065)$/$\Omega_{b}(6340)$ and $\Omega_{c}(3090)$/$\Omega_{b}(6350)$ states as the $p_{\lambda}$ excitations with quantum numbers $1/2^{-}$, $3/2^{-}$, $3/2^{-}$ and $5/2^{-}$. The $\Omega_{c}(3120)$ is a $3/2^{-}$ state with the $p_{\rho}$ excitation, whose bottom partner is predicted to be $\Omega_{b}(6446/6457,3/2^{-})$. The higher state $\Omega_{c}(3188)$ is the $2s_{\lambda}$ excitation with quantum numbers $1/2^{+}$, and $\Omega_{c}(3327)$ is a $d_{\lambda}$ excitation with quantum numbers $3/2^{+}$ or $5/2^{+}$. In addition, the $\Lambda_{c}(2940)$ with quantum numbers $J^{P}=3/2^{-}$ could be explained as the $p_{\rho}$ excitation.

Abstract:In this work, we employ the Bethe-Salpeter （B-S） equation to investigate the spectra of free diquarks and their B-S wave functions. We find that the B-S approach can be consistently applied to study the diqaurks with two heavy quarks or one heavy and one light quarks, but for two light-quark systems, the results are not reliable. There are a few free parameters in the whole scenario which can only be fixed phenomenologically. Thus, to determine them, one has to study baryons which are composed of quarks and diquarks.

Abstract:The resonance mass spectra have been studied through a non-relativistic hypercentral Constituent Quark Model (hCQM) using a linear potential. Also, the effects of higher order correction terms (${\cal{O}}(\frac{1}{m})$, ${\cal{O}}(\frac{1}{m^{2}})$) have been studied for improvisation of the results. Other baryonic properties such as Regge trajectories, magnetic moment and decay widths have been considered. A detailed comparison with other approaches are discussed in the present review.

Abstract:We use a symmetry-preserving truncation of meson and baryon bound-state equations in quantum field theory in order to develop a unified description of systems constituted from light and heavy quarks. In particular, we compute the spectrum and leptonic decay constants of ground-state pseudoscalar and vector mesons: q'(q) over bar, Q'(Q) over bar, with q', q = u, d, s and Q', Q = c, b, and the masses of J(P) = 3/2(+) baryons and their first positive-parity excitations, including those containing one or more heavy quarks. This Poincare covariant analysis predicts that such baryons have a complicated angular momentum structure. For instance, the ground states are all primarily S wave in character, but each possesses P-, D- and F-wave components, with the P-wave fraction being large in the qqq states, and the first positive-parity excitation in each channel having a large D-wave component, which grows with increasing current-quark mass, but also exhibits features consistent with a radial excitation. The configuration space extent of all such baryons decreases as the mass of the valence-quark constituents increases.
Strong decay widths of S- and P-wave singly-, doubly- and triply-heavy charm and bottom baryons

Abstract:We present a study of two-body decay widths of heavy baryons into another heavy baryon and a light pseudoscalar meson in the framework of the non-relativistic quark model in combination with the elementary emission model for the strong couplings. The present study includes the decays of 1S- and 1P-wave baryons with one, two or three heavy quarks, either charm (c) or bottom (b). The relative partial widths are given by the appropriate flavor SU(3) isoscalar factors. The flavor, spin and orbital contributions are discussed explicitly as well as selection rules for forbidden decays. The total widths are compared with the available experimental data as well as with other theoretical studies. The calculated widths of singly-heavy baryons are found to be in reasonable agreement with the observed widths. The decay widths of doubly-heavy baryons are suppressed with respect to those of the singly-heavy baryons by the ratios of the quark masses appearing in the orbital contributions.

Abstract:A Gaussian wave function is used for detailed study of mass spectra of the $B$ and $B_S$ mesons using a Cornell potential incorporated with a $\mathcal{O}(1/m)$ correction in the potential energy term and expansion of the kinetic energy term up to a ${\cal{O}\left({\bf p}^{10}\right)}$ for relativistic correction of the Hamiltonian. The predicted excited states for the $B$ and $B_s$ mesons are in very good agreement with results obtained by experiment. We assigned the $B_{2}(5747)$ and $B_{s2}(5840)$ as $1^{3}p_{2}$ state, the $B_{1}(5721)$ and $B_{s1}(5830)$ as $1 p_{1}$ state, the $B_{0}(5732)$ as $1^{3}p_{0}$ state, the $B_{s1}(5850)$ as $1p_{1}^{'}$ state and the $B(5970)$ as $2^{3}S_{1}$ state. We investigate the Regge trajectories in the $(J,M^{2})$ and $(n_r,M^{2})$ planes with their corresponding parameters. Branching ratio for leptonic and radiative-leptonic decays are estimated for the $B$ and $B_S$ mesons. Our results are in good agreement with experimental observation as well as outcomes of other theoretical models.

Abstract:The spectroscopy of $\Xi^0$ is performed within the relativistic framework of independent quark model. The equal mixture of scalar and vector components in the potential having Martin-like form is considered for the confinement. With the suitable potential parameters for $\Xi^0$, mass spectra for high radial and orbital excitation is calculated. The experimentally observed values of ground state magnetic moment, branching ratios and asymmetry parameters for radiative weak decays, $\Xi^{0}\rightarrow\Lambda^{0} + \gamma^{0}$ \& $\Xi^{0}\rightarrow\Sigma^{0} + \gamma^{0}$ are obtained to validate the model. The spin parity of experimentally known resonances like $\Xi(1530)$, $\Xi(1820)$, \& $\Xi(2030)$ are confirmed through the Regge trajectories in $(J,M^2)$ plane. The spin pa+rity of $\Xi(1950)$, $\Xi(2130)$, \& $\Xi(2250)$ are predicted using those Regge trajectories. The radiative decay width and magnetic moment of first resonance is also predicted.

Abstract:Stimulated by the observation of the $X(6900)$ from LHCb in 2020 and the recent results from CMS and ATLAS in the di-$J/\psi$ invariant mass spectrum, in this work we systemically study all possible configurations for the ground fully heavy tetraquark states in constituent quark model. By our calculation, we present their spectroscopy behaviors like binding energy, lowest meson-meson thresholds, specific wave function, magnetic moment, transition magnetic moment, radiative decay width, rearrangement strong width ratio, internal mass contributions, relative lengths between (anti)quarks, and the spatial distribution of four valence (anti)quarks. We cannot find stable S-wave state for the fully heavy tetraquark system. We hope that our results are valuable to further explore fully heavy tetraquark states in experiment.

Abstract:Very recently, LHCb Collaboration observed that two new $\Omega_{c}^{0}$ states decay into $\Xi^{+}_{c}K^{-}$ with masses of about $3185$ MeV and $3327$ MeV. However, their spin parity quantum numbers $J^{P}$ have not been determined. In this paper, we exploit the quark-diquark model, the linear Regge trajectory and the perturbation treatment method to analyze the mass spectra of the discovered experimental data for the singly heavy baryons $\Sigma_{c}/\Sigma_{b}$, $\Xi^{\prime}_{c}/\Xi^{\prime}_{b}$ and $\Omega_{c}/\Omega_{b}$. In addition, we further predict the mass spectra of several unobserved $\Sigma_{c}/\Sigma_{b}$, $\Xi^{\prime}_{c}/\Xi^{\prime}_{b}$ and $\Omega_{c}/\Omega_{b}$ baryons. In the case of the $\Omega_c(3185)^{0}$ and $\Omega_c(3327)^{0}$ states, we determine $\Omega_{c}(3185)^{0}$ as $2S$ state and $\Omega_{c}(3327)^{0}$ as $1D$ state with $J^{P}=1/2^{+}$ and $J^{P}=3/2^{+}$, respectively. An overall good agreement of the obtained predictions with available experimental data are found.

Abstract:Very recently, LHCb Collaboration observed that two new Ωc0 states decay into Ξc+K− with masses of about 3185 MeV and 3327 MeV. However, their spin-parity quantum numbers JP have not been determined. In this paper, we exploit the quark-diquark model, the linear Regge trajectory and the perturbation treatment method to analyze the mass spectra of the discovered experimental data for the singly heavy baryons Σc/Σb , Ξc′/Ξb′ , and Ωc/Ωb . In addition, we further predict the mass spectra of several unobserved Σc/Σb , Ξc′/Ξb′ , and Ωc/Ωb baryons. In the case of the Ωc(3185)0 and Ωc(3327)0 states, we determine Ωc(3185)0 as 2S state and Ωc(3327)0 as 1D state with JP=1/2+ and JP=3/2+ , respectively. Spectrum and Structure of Octet and Decuplet Baryons and Their Positive-Parity Excitations

Abstract:A continuum approach to the three-valence-quark bound-state problem in quantum field theory, employing parametrizations of the necessary kernel elements, is used to compute the spectrum and Poincar\'e-covariant wave functions for all $\mathrm{flavor}\text{\ensuremath{-}}SU(3)$ octet and decuplet baryons and their first positive-parity excitations. Such analyses predict the existence of nonpointlike, dynamical quark-quark (diquark) correlations within all baryons; and a uniformly sound description of the systems studied is obtained by retaining flavor-antitriplet--scalar and flavor-sextet--pseudovector diquarks. Thus constituted, the rest-frame wave function of every system studied is primarily $S$ wave in character; and the first positive-parity excitation of each octet or decuplet baryon exhibits the characteristics of a radial excitation. Importantly, every ground-state octet and decuplet baryon possesses a radial excitation. Hence, the analysis predicts the existence and masses of positive-parity excitations of the $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}$, ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}^{*}$, and $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}$ baryons, states which have not yet been empirically identified. This body of analysis suggests that the expression of emergent mass generation is the same in all $u$, $d$, and $s$ baryons and, notably, that dynamical quark-quark correlations play an essential role in the structure of each one. It also provides the basis for developing an array of predictions that can be tested in new generation experiments.
The mass spectra and wave functions for the doubly heavy baryons with $J^P=1^+$ heavy diquark core

Abstract:The mass spectra and wave functions for the doubly heavy baryons are computed under the picture that the two heavy quarks inside a doubly heavy baryon, such as two $c$-quarks in $\Xi_{cc}$, combine into a heavy `diquark core' in color anti-triplet firstly, then the diquark core turns into a color-less doubly heavy baryon via combining the light $q$-quark inside the baryon. Namely both of the combinations, the two heavy quarks inside the baryon into a diquark core in color anti-triplet and the heavy diquark core with the light quark into the baryon, are depicted by relativistic Bethe-Salpeter equations (BSEs) with an accordingly QCD inspired kernel respectively, although in the paper only the heavy diquark cores with the quantum numbers $J^P=1^+$ are considered. Since the `second combination' is of the heavy diquark core and the light quark, so the structure effect of the diquark core to the relevant kernel of the BSE is specially considered in terms of the diquark-core wave functions. The mass spectra and wave functions for the `low-laying' doubly heavy baryons in the flavors $(ccq)$, $(bcq)$ and $(bbq)$ and in the quantum numbers $J^P=\frac{1}{2}^+$, $J^P=\frac{3}{2}^+$, achieved by solving the equations under the so-called instantaneous approximation, are presented properly and some comparisons with the others' results under different approaches in the literature are made.
