Abstract:We present computation of the next-to-leading power corrections for Higgs plus one jet production in a hadron collider via gluon fusion channel. Shifting of spinors in the helicity amplitudes without additional radiation captures the leading next-to-soft radiative behaviour and makes the calculation tractable. We establish the connection between the shifted dipole spinors and the colour ordered radiative amplitudes. We find that next-to-maximal helicity violating amplitudes do not play a role in this correction. Compact analytic expressions of next-to-leading power leading logarithms coming from different helicity configurations are shown.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to calculate the next - to - leading power (NLP) corrections in the process of Higgs boson plus one jet production via the gluon - fusion channel in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Specifically, the authors focus on how to effectively calculate these corrections, especially in the case of soft radiation (i.e., the emission of additional particles with very low energy). By introducing the spinor - shift technique, they are able to simplify the calculation process and find that the next - to - maximal helicity violating (NMHV) amplitudes play no role in this correction. This provides a new method for understanding and dealing with infrared divergences and is of great significance for improving the accuracy of theoretical predictions. The main contribution of the paper lies in proposing a method of using spinor - shift to capture the next - to - soft radiation effects. This method not only makes the calculation more concise and feasible but also reveals the direct connection between the color - ordered radiation amplitudes in the next - to - soft limit and the shifted two - color dipole spinors. In addition, the paper also provides specific analytical expressions for the next - to - leading - order logarithms under different helicity configurations, which are of great value for understanding the universal properties of the next - to - soft radiation and developing global resummation formulas.
