Abstract:In this paper, we investigate Yau's rigidity problem for compact submanifolds with parallel mean curvature in pinched Riemannian manifolds. Firstly, we prove that if M-n is an oriented closed minimal submanifold in an (n + p)-dimensional complete simply connected Riemannian manifold Nn(+p), then there exists a constant delta(0)(n, p) is an element of (0, 1) such that if the sectional curvature of N satisfies (K) over bar (N) is an element of[delta(0)(n, p), 1], and if M has a lower bound for the sectional curvature and an upper bound for the normalized scalar curvature, then N is isometric to Sn+p. Moreover, M is either a totally geodesic sphere, one of the Clifford minimal hypersurfaces S-k(root k/n) x S-n (k)(root n-k/n) in Sn+1 for k = 1,..., n-1, or the Veronese submanifold in Sn+d, where d = 1/2n(n + 1) - 1. We then generalize the above theorem to the case where M ia a compact submanifold with parallel mean curvature in a pinched Riemannian manifold.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the sharp constants of quantitative Hardy and Rellich inequalities on nonreversible Finsler manifolds equipped with arbitrary measures. In particular, these inequalities can be globally refined by adding remainder terms like the Brezis–Vázquez improvement, if Finsler manifolds are of strictly negative flag curvature, vanishing S-curvature and finite uniformity constant. Furthermore, these results remain valid when Finsler metrics are reversible.

Abstract:Let Mn(n ≥ 4) be an oriented compact submanifold with parallel mean curvature in an (n + p)-dimensional complete simply connected Riemannian manifold Nn+p. Then there exists a constant δ(n, p) 2 (0, 1) such that if the sectional curvature of N satisfies $${\overline K _N} \in \;\,\left[ {\delta \left( {n,p} \right),\;1} \right]$$, and if M has a lower bound for Ricci curvature and an upper bound for scalar curvature, then N is isometric to Sn+p. Abstract:Making use of 1-forms and geometric inequalities we prove the rigidity property of complete submanifolds Mn with parallel mean curvature normal in a complete and simply connected Riemannian (n+p)-manifold Nn+p with positive sectional curvature. For given integers n, p and for a nonnegative constant H we find a positive number tau(n, p) is an element of (0, 1) with the property that if the sectional curvature of N is pinched in [tau(n, p), 1], and if the squared norm of the second fundamental form is in a certain interval, then Nn+p is isometric to the standard unit (n+p)-sphere. As a consequence, such an M is congruent to one of the five models as seen in our Main Theorem.
The $L_{p}$-Brunn-Minkowski inequalities for variational functionals with $0\leq p<1$

Abstract:The infinitesimal forms of the $L_{p}$-Brunn-Minkowski inequalities for variational functionals, such as the $q$-capacity, torsional rigidity, and the first eigenvalue of the Laplace operator, are investigated for $p \geq 0$. These formulations yield Poincaré-type inequalities related to these functionals. As an application, the $L_{p}$-Brunn-Minkowski inequalities for torsional rigidity with $0 \leq p < 1$ are confirmed for small $C^{2}$-perturbations of the unit ball.

Poincaré inequality for one forms on four manifolds with bounded Ricci curvature

Abstract:In this short note, we provide a quantitative global Poincaré inequality for one forms on a closed Riemannian four manifold, in terms of an upper bound on the diameter, a positive lower bound on the volume, and a two-sided bound on Ricci curvature. This seems to be the first non-trivial result giving such an inequality without any higher curvature assumptions. The proof is based on a Hodge theoretic result on orbifolds, a comparison for fundamental groups, and a spectral convergence with respect to Gromov-Hausdorff convergence, via a degeneration result to orbifolds by Anderson.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish a Willmore-type inequality for closed hypersurfaces in a complete Riemannian manifold of dimension $n+1$ with ${\rm Ric}\geq-ng$. It extends the classic result of Argostianiani, Fogagnolo, and Mazzieri in [1] to the Riemannian manifold of negative curvature. As an application, we construct a Willmore-type inequality for closed hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space and obtain the characterization of geodesic sphere.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduced the concept of $ C $-star bodies in a fixed pointed closed convex cone $ C $ and studied the dual mixed volume for $ C $-star bodies. For $ C $-star bodies, we established the corresponding dual Brunn-Minkowski inequality, dual Minkowski inequality, and dual Aleksandrov-Fenchel inequality. Moveover, we found that the dual Brunn-Minkowski inequality for $ C $-star bodies can strengthen the Brunn-Minkowski inequality for $ C $-coconvex sets.

Abstract:In this paper we present new versions of the classical Brunn-Minkowski inequality for different classes of measures and sets. We show that the inequality \[ \mu(\lambda A + (1-\lambda)B)^{1/n} \geq \lambda \mu(A)^{1/n} + (1-\lambda)\mu(B)^{1/n} \] holds true for an unconditional product measure $\mu$ with decreasing density and a pair of unconditional convex bodies $A,B \subset \mathbb{R}^n$. We also show that the above inequality is true for any unconditional $\log$-concave measure $\mu$ and unconditional convex bodies $A,B \subset \mathbb{R}^n$. Finally, we prove that the inequality is true for a symmetric $\log$-concave measure $\mu$ and a pair of symmetric convex sets $A,B \subset \mathbb{R}^2$, which, in particular, settles two-dimensional case of the conjecture for Gaussian measure proposed by R. Gardner and the fourth named author. In addition, we deduce the $1/n$-concavity of the parallel volume $t \mapsto \mu(A+tB)$, Brunn's type theorem and certain analogues of Minkowski first inequality.

Abstract:SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, Volume 56, Issue 2, Page 1604-1642, April 2024. In this paper we study the (nonlocal) torsional rigidity in the ambient space of random walk spaces. We get the relation of the (nonlocal) torsional rigidity of a set [math] with the spectral [math]-heat content of [math], which gives rise to a complete description of the nonlocal torsional rigidity of [math] by using uniquely probability terms involving the set [math], and we recover the first eigenvalue of the nonlocal Laplacian with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions by a limit formula using these probability terms. For the random walk in [math] associated with a nonsingular kernel, we get a nonlocal version of the Saint-Venant inequality, and, under rescaling, we recover the classical Saint-Venant inequality. We also study the nonlocal [math]-torsional rigidity and its relation with the nonlocal Cheeger constants, and we prove a nonlocal version of the Pólya–Makai-type inequalities. We relate the torsional rigidity given here for weighted graphs with the torsional rigidity on metric graphs.

A generalization of Grünbaum's inequality in RCD$(0,N)$-spaces

Abstract:We generalize Grünbaum's classical inequality in convex geometry to curved spaces with nonnegative Ricci curvature, precisely, to $\mathrm{RCD}(0,N)$-spaces with $N \in (1,\infty)$ as well as weighted Riemannian manifolds of $\mathrm{Ric}_N \ge 0$ for $N \in (-\infty,-1) \cup \{\infty\}$. Our formulation makes use of the isometric splitting theorem; given a convex set $\Omega$ and the Busemann function associated with any straight line, the volume of the intersection of $\Omega$ and any sublevel set of the Busemann function that contains a barycenter of $\Omega$ is bounded from below in terms of $N$. We also extend this inequality beyond uniform distributions on convex sets. Moreover, we establish some rigidity results by using the localization method, and the stability problem is also studied.

Abstract:The sharp isoperimetric inequality for non-compact Riemannian manifolds with non-negative Ricci curvature and Euclidean volume growth has been obtained in increasing generality with different approaches in a number of contributions [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1812.05022" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1812.05022">arXiv:1812.05022</a>, <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2012.09490" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2012.09490">arXiv:2012.09490</a>, <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2009.13717" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2009.13717">arXiv:2009.13717</a>, <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2103.08496" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2103.08496">arXiv:2103.08496</a>] culminated by Balogh and Kristaly [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2012.11862" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2012.11862">arXiv:2012.11862</a>] covering also m.m.s.'s verifying the non-negative Ricci curvature condition in the synthetic sense of Lott, Sturm and Villani. In sharp contrast with the compact case of positive Ricci curvature, for a large class of spaces including weighted Riemannian manifolds, no complete characterisation of the equality cases is present in the literature. The scope of this note is to settle this problem by proving, in the same generality of [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2012.11862" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2012.11862">arXiv:2012.11862</a>], that the equality in the isoperimetric inequality can be attained only by metric balls. Whenever this happens the space is forced, in a measure theoretic sense, to be a cone. Our result applies to different frameworks yielding as corollaries new rigidity results: it extend to weighted Riemannian manifold the rigidity results of [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2009.13717" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2009.13717">arXiv:2009.13717</a>], it extend to general $\mathsf{RCD}$ spaces the rigidity results of [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2201.04916" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2201.04916">arXiv:2201.04916</a>] and finally applies also to the Euclidean setting by proving that that optimisers in the anisotropic and weighted isoperimetric inequality for Euclidean cones are necessarily the Wulff shapes.

Abstract:In this paper, we give an estimate of the upper bound of the inner radius for a complete Finsler measure space of weighted Ricci curvature bounded from below, in terms of the -mean curvature bound of the boundary. We also prove the rigidity result that when the boundary is compact, the upper bound is achieved if and only if M is isometric to a forward Finsler geodesic ball of vanishing radical flag curvature.

On some rigidity theorems of Q-curvature

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the rigidity of Q-curvature. Specifically, we consider a closed, oriented $n$-dimensional ($n\geq6$) Riemannian manifold $(M,g)$ and prove the following results under the condition $\int_{M} \nabla R\cdot\nabla \mathrm{Q}\mathrm{d} V_g\leq0$. (1) If $(M,g)$ is locally conformally flat with nonnegative Ricci curvature, then $(M,g)$ is isometric to a quotient of $\mathbb{R}^n$, $\mathbb{S}^n$, or $\mathbb{R}\times\mathbb{S}^{n-1}$. (2) If $(M,g)$ has $\delta^2 W=0$ with nonnegative sectional curvature, then $(M,g)$ is isometric to a quotient of the product of Einstein manifolds. Additionally, we investigate some rigidity theorems involving Q-curvature about hypersurfaces in simply-connected space forms. We also show the uniqueness of metrics with constant scalar curvature and constant Q-curvature in a fixed conformal class.

Abstract:We generalize the well-known Gauchman theorem for closed minimal submanifolds in a unit sphere, and prove that if M is an n-dimensional closed submanifold of parallel mean curvature in Sn+p and if or (u) <= 1/3 for any unit vector u is an element of TM, where sigma (u) = parallel to h(u, u)parallel to(2), and h is the second fundamental form of M, then either sigma (u) equivalent to H-2 and M is a totally umbilical sphere, or sigma (u) equivalent to 1/3. Moreover, we give a geometrical classification of closed submanifolds with parallel mean curvature satisfying sigma (u) equivalent to 1/3.
