Abstract:In this paper, we construct the so-called q-Schur modules as left principle ideals of cyclotomic q-Schur algebras, and prove that they are isomorphic to those cell modules defined in [3] and [10] in any level r. After that, mainly, we prove that these q-Schur modules are free and construct their basis. This result gives the new versions of some several known results such as standard basis and the branching theorem. With the help of this realizations and the new basis, we give a new proof of the Branch rule of Weyl modules which was first discovered by Wada in [20].

Abstract:In this paper, we give a geometrization of semicanonical bases of quantum groups via Grothendieck groups of the derived categories of Lusztig's nilpotent varieties. Meanwhile, we describe the dual semicanonical bases in terms of Serre polynomials of Grassmannians of modules over preprojective algebras.

Abstract:This note is concerned with the unipotent characters of the Ree groups of type G_2. We determine the roots of unity associated by Lusztig and Digne-Michel to unipotent characters of ^2G_2(3^{2n+1}) and we prove that the Fourier matrix of ^2G_2(3^{2n+1}) defined by Geck and Malle satisfies a conjecture of Digne-Michel. Our main tool is the Shintani descent of Ree groups of type G_2.

Abstract:We describe bases for the morphism spaces of the Frobenius Heisenberg categories associated to a symmetric graded Frobenius algebra, proving several open conjectures. Our proof uses a categorical comultiplication and generalized cyclotomic quotients of the category. We use our basis theorem to prove that the Grothendieck ring of the Karoubi envelope of the Frobenius Heisenberg category recovers the lattice Heisenberg algebra associated to the Frobenius algebra.

Abstract:For quantum group of affine type, Lusztig gave an explicit construction of the affine canonical basis by simple perverse sheaves. In this paper, we construct a bar-invariant basis by using a PBW basis arising from representations of the corresponding tame quiver. We prove that this bar-invariant basis coincides with Lusztig's canonical basis and obtain a concrete bijection between the elements in theses two bases. The index set of these bases is listed orderly by modules in preprojective, regular non-homogeneous, preinjective components and irreducible characters of symmetric groups. Our results are based on the work of Lin-Xiao-Zhang and closely related with the work of Beck-Nakajima. A crucial method in our construction is a generalization of that by Deng-Du-Xiao.

Abstract:In this expository note, we review the recent developments about Maulik and Okounkov’s stable bases for the Springer resolution \documentclass[12pt]{minimal}\usepackage{amsmath}\usepackage{wasysym}\usepackage{amsfonts}\usepackage{amssymb}\usepackage{amsbsy}\usepackage{mathrsfs}\usepackage{upgreek}\setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt}\begin{document}$$T^*(G/B)$$\end{document}. In the cohomology case, we compute the action of the graded affine Hecke algebra on the stable basis, which is used to obtain the localization formulae. We further identify the stable bases with the Chern–Schwartz–MacPherson classes of the Schubert cells. This relation is used to prove the positivity conjecture of Aluffi and Mihalcea. For the K theory stable basis, we first compute the action of the affine Hecke algebra on it, which is used to deduce the localization formulae via root polynomial method. Similar as the cohomology case, they are also identified with the motivic Chern classes of the Schubert cells. This identification is used to prove the Bump–Nakasuji–Naruse conjecture about the unramified principal series of the Langlands dual group over non-Archimedean local fields. In the end, we study the wall R-matrices, which relate stable bases for different alcoves. As an application, we give a categorification of the stable bases via the localization of Lie algebras over positive characteristic fields.

Abstract:We generalize the definition of Yang-Baxter basis of type $A$ Hecke algebra introduced by <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://A.Lascoux" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a>, <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://B.Leclerc" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> and <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://J.Y.Thibon" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> (Letters in Math. Phys., 40 (1997), 75--90) to all the Lie types and prove their duality. As an application we give a solution to Casselman's problem on Iwahori fixed vectors of principal series representation of $p$-adic groups.

Abstract: The note is dedicated to provide a satisfying and complete answer to the long-standing Gaveau--Brockett open problem. More precisely, we determine the exact formula of the Carnot--Carath\'eodory distance on arbitrary step-two groups. The basic idea of the proof is combining Varadhan's formulas with the explicit expression for the associated heat kernel $p_h$ and the method of stationary phase. However, we have to introduce a number of original new methods, especially the usage of the concept of "Operator convexity". Next, new integral expressions for $p_h$ by means of properties of Bessel functions will be presented. An unexpected direct proof for the well-known positivity of $p_h$ via its original integral formula, will play an important role. Furthermore, all normal geodesics joining the identity element $o$ to any given $g$ as well as the cut locus can be characterized on every step-two groups. Finally, the corresponding results in Riemannian geometry on step-two groups will be briefly presented as well.

Abstract:Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, Ahead of Print. Denote by [math] the subgroup of unipotent upper triangular matrices. In this paper, we show that the dual canonical basis of [math] (and base affine spaces) can be parametrized by semi-standard Young tableaux. Moreover, we give an explicit formula for every element in the dual canonical basis using the data of the corresponding semi-standard Young tableau. We apply our results to study cluster variables in [math].

Abstract:In order to give a combinatorial descriptions of tensor product multiplicites for semisimple groups, it is useful to find bases for representations which are compatible with the actions of Chevalley generators of the Lie algebra. There are three known examples of such bases, each of which flows from geometric or algebraic mountain. Remarkably, each mountain gives the same combinatorial shadow: the crystal B(infty) and the Mirkovic-Vilonen polytopes. In order to distinguish between the three bases, we introduce measures supported on these polytopes. We also report on the interaction of these bases with the cluster structure on the coordinate ring of the maximal unipotent subgroup.

Abstract:We give a new proof of the equivalence between the dessin partition function and the partition function of the Laguerre unitary ensemble (LUE), originally found by Ambjørn and Chekhov. We also introduce a correction factor for the dessin/LUE partition function, and show that the corrected dessin/LUE partition function is a Dubrovin–Zhang type tau-function of the Toda lattice hierarchy. As an application, we use the approach of Dubrovin and Zhang for the computation of the dessin correlators. In physicists’ terminology, we establish dualities among dessin counting, generalized Penner model, and P1 -topological sigma model.

Abstract:We generalize Lusztig's geometric construction of the PBW bases of finite quantum groups of type $\mathsf{ADE}$ under the framework of [Varagnolo-Vasserot, J. reine angew. Math. 659 (2011)]. In particular, every PBW basis of such quantum groups is proven to yield a semi-orthogonal collection in the module category of the KLR-algebras. This enables us to prove Lusztig's conjecture on the positivity of the canonical (lower global) bases in terms of the (lower) PBW bases in the $\mathsf{ADE}$ case. In addition, we verify Kashiwara's problem on the finiteness of the global dimensions of the KLR-algebras of type $\mathsf{ADE}$.

Abstract:In [Tame_quivers_and_affine_bases_I], we give a Ringel-Hall algebra approach to the canonical bases in the symmetric affine cases. In this paper, we extend the results to general symmetrizable affine cases by using Ringel-Hall algebras of representations of a valued quiver. We obtain a bar-invariant basis $\mathbf{B}'=\{C(\mathbf{c},t_\lambda)|(\mathbf{c},t_\lambda)\in\mathcal{G}^a\}$ in the generic composition algebra $\mathcal{C}^*$ and prove that $\mathcal{B}'=\mathbf{B}'\sqcup(-\mathbf{B}')$ coincides with Lusztig's signed canonical basis $\mathcal{B}$. Moreover, in type $\tilde{B}_n,\tilde{C}_n$, $\mathbf{B}'$ is the canonical basis $\mathbf{B}$.

Abstract:Lusztig's algorithm of computing generalized Green functions of reductive groups involves an ambiguity of certain scalars. In this paper, for reductive groups of classical type with arbitrary characteristic, we determine those scalars explicitly, and eliminate the ambiguity. Our results imply that all the generalized Green functions of classical type are computable.

Abstract:We revisit the paper of Alexander Grothendiek where he introduced Grothendieck pairs and discuss the relation between profinite rigidity and left/right Grothendieck rigidity. We also show that various groups are left and/or right Grothendieck rigid and, in particular, all ascending HNN extensiona of finitely generated free groups are right Grothendieck rigid. Along the way we present a number of questions and suggestions for further research.
