Abstract:Let $(X,d)$ be a compact metric space, $f:X\rightarrow X$ be a continuous transformation with the specification property. we consider non-dense orbit set $E(z_0)$ and show that for any non-transitive point $z_0\in X$, this set $E(z_0)$ is empty or carries full Bowen upper and lower metric mean dimension.

Abstract:We show that set of points nondense under the × n-map on the circle and dense for the geodesic flow under the induced map on the circle corresponding to the expanding horospherical subgroup has full Haudorff dimension. We also show the analogous result for toral automorphisms on the 2-torus and a diagonal flow. Our results can be interpreted in number-theoretic terms: the set of well approximable numbers that are nondense under the × n-map has full Hausdorff dimension. Similarly, the set of well approximable 2-vectors that are nondense under a hyperbolic toral automorphism has full Hausdorff dimension. Our result for numbers is the counterpart to a classical result of Kaufmann and gives a comprehensive understanding.

Abstract:Abstract Let G be a Lie group, let $\Gamma \subset G$ be a discrete subgroup, let $X=G/\Gamma $ and let f be an affine map from X to itself. We give conditions on a submanifold Z of X that guarantee that the set of points $x\in X$ with f -trajectories avoiding Z is hyperplane absolute winning (a property which implies full Hausdorff dimension and is stable under countable intersections). A similar result is proved for one-parameter actions on X . This has applications in constructing exceptional geodesics on locally symmetric spaces and in non-density of the set of values of certain functions at integer points.

Abstract:The point orbits under continuous self-maps on completely densely ordered linear ordered topological spaces (CDOLOTSs) are discussed. First, we point that the density of orbits implies the topological transitivity of the continuous self-map. Then, we give the necessary conditions for the density of the orbit under the even iterations. Such conditions are established on the fact that x (x is an element of L, L is a closed interval on a CDOLOTS) has a dense orbit under the continuous self-map.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the notions of upper metric mean dimension, u -upper metric mean dimension, l -upper metric mean dimension of free semigroup actions for non-compact sets via Carathéodory-Pesin structure. Firstly, the lower and upper estimations of the upper metric mean dimension of free semigroup actions are obtained by local metric mean dimensions. Secondly, one proves a variational principle that relates the u -upper metric mean dimension of free semigroup actions for non-compact sets with the corresponding skew product transformation. Furthermore, using the variational principle above, -irregular set acting on free semigroup actions shows full upper metric mean dimension in the system with the gluing orbit property. Some of our analysis generalizes the results obtained by Carvalho et al. [11], Lima and Varandas [21].

Abstract:We study dynamical systems that have bounded complexity with respect to three kinds metrics: the Bowen metric d(n), the max-mean metric (d) over cap (n) and the mean metric (d) over bar (n), both in topological dynamics and ergodic theory. It is shown that a topological dynamical system. X; T / has bounded complexity with respect to d(n) (respectively (d) over cap (n)) if and only if it is equicontinuous (respectively equicontinuous in the mean). However, we construct minimal systems that have bounded complexity with respect to (d) over bar (n) but that are not equicontinuous in the mean. It turns out that an invariant measure mu on (X, T) has bounded complexity with respect to dn if and only if (X, T) is mu-equicontinuous. Meanwhile, it is shown that mu has bounded complexity with respect to (d) over cap (n) if and only if mu has bounded complexity with respect to (d) over bar (n), if and only if (X; T / is mu-mean equicontinuous and if and only if it has discrete spectrum.

Abstract:For infinite measure-theoretic entropy systems, we introduce the notion of measure-theoretic metric mean dimension of invariant measures for different types of measure-theoretic $\epsilon$-entropies, and show that measure-theoretic metric mean dimensions of different types of measure-theoretic $\epsilon$-entropies coincide with the packing metric mean dimension of the set of generic points of ergodic measures.

Abstract:Consider a topological dynamical system $(X, T)$ endowed with the metric $d$. We introduce a novel function as $\overline{BF}(x, y) = \limsup_{n-m \rightarrow +\infty} \inf_{\sigma \in S_{n,m}} \frac{1}{n-m} \sum_{k=m}^{n-1} d\left(T^{k} x, T^{\sigma(k)} y\right)$, where the permutation group $S_{n,m}$ is utilized. It is demonstrated that $BF(x, y)$ exists when $x, y \in X$ are uniformly generic points. Leveraging this function, we introduce the concept of weak Banach mean equicontinuity and establish that the dynamical system $(X, T)$ exhibits weak Banach mean equicontinuity if and only if the uniform time averages $f_B^{*}(x) = \lim_{n-m \rightarrow +\infty} \frac{1}{n-m} \sum_{k=m}^{n-1} f\left(T^{k} x\right)$ are continuous for all $f \in C(X)$. Finally, we demonstrate that in the case of a transitive system, the equivalence between weak Banach mean equicontinuity and weak mean equicontinuity is established.

Abstract:We study a problem raised by Abdenur et. al. [3] that asks, for any chain transitive set Lambda of a generic diffeomorphism f, whether the set I(Lambda) of indices of hyperbolic periodic orbits that approach Lambda in the Hausdorff metric must be an "interval", i.e., whether alpha is an element of I(Lambda) and beta is an element of I(Lambda), alpha < beta, must imply gamma is an element of I(Lambda) for every alpha < gamma < beta. We prove this is indeed the case if, in addition, f is C-1 away from homoclinic tangencies and if Lambda is a minimally non-hyperbolic set.

Abstract:It is well-known that $\epsilon$-stable sets have a deep connection with the topological entropy of dynamical systems. In the present paper, we investigate the relationships of three types of upper metric mean dimensions with potential between \emph{the blocks of $\epsilon$-stable sets, $\epsilon$-stable sets, the dispersion of preimages of $\epsilon$-stable sets} and the whole phase space. Besides, some chaotic phenomenons are revealed in infinite entropy systems. As an application of main results, we show tail entropy, preimage neighborhood entropy and topological entropy have the same metric mean dimension.

Abstract:We study the mean orbital pseudo-metric for Polish dynamical systems and its connections with properties of the space of invariant measures. We give equivalent conditions for when the set of invariant measures generated by periodic points is dense in the set of ergodic measures and the space of invariant measures. We also introduce the concept of asymptotic orbital average shadowing property and show that it implies that every non-empty compact connected subset of the space of invariant measures has a generic point.

Abstract:We show a somewhat surprising result: if $E$ is a disk in the plane $\mathbb R^2$, then there is a homeomorphism $h:\mathbb R^2\rightarrow\mathbb R^2$ such that, for every $x\in\partial E$, the orbit $O(x, h)$ is bounded, but for every $y\in {\rm Int}(E)$, the orbit $O(y, h)$ is doubly divergent. To prove this, we define a class of homeomorphisms on the square $[-1, 1]^2$, called normally rising homeomorphisms, and show that a normally rising homeomorphism can have very complex $\omega$-limit sets and $\alpha$-limt sets, though the homeomorphism itself looks very simple.

Abstract:For symbolic dynamics with some mild conditions, we solve the lowering topological entropy problem for subsystems and determine the Hausdorff dimension of the level set with given complexity, where the complexity is represented by Hausdorff dimension of orbit closure. These results can be applied to some dynamical systems such as $\beta$-transformations, conformal expanding repeller, etc. We also determine the dimension of the Furstenberg level set, which is related to a problem of Furstenberg on the orbits under two multiplicatively independent maps.

Abstract:We investigate the metric mean dimension of subshifts of compact type. We prove that the metric mean dimensions of a continuous map and its inverse limit coincide, generalizing Bowen's entropy formula. Building upon this result, we extend the notion of metric mean dimension to discontinuous maps in terms of suitable subshifts. As an application, we show that the metric mean dimension of the Gauss map and that of induced maps of the Manneville-Pomeau family is equal to the box dimension of the corresponding set of discontinuity points, which also coincides with a critical parameter of the pressure operator associated to the geometric potential.
