Abstract:We examine the inverse procedure of the Radford-Majid bosonization for Hopf superalgebras and give a handy method for enumerating Hopf superalgebras whose bosonization is isomorphic to a given Hopf algebra. As an application, we classify Hopf superalgebras of dimension up to 5 and give examples of higher dimensions.

Abstract:The left and right homological integrals are introduced for a large class of infinite dimensional Hopf algebras. Using the homological integrals we prove a version of Maschke's theorem for infinite dimensional Hopf algebras. The generalization of Maschke's theorem and homological integrals are the keys to study noetherian regular Hopf algebras of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension one.

Abstract:Let H be a Hopf algebra over a base field. If H has an ℕ-filtration such that the associated graded ring is connected graded noetherian and has enough normal elements, then H is Gorenstein. This gives a partial solution to a question of Brown and Brown-Goodearl. As a consequence, every quotient Hopf algebra of a generic quantized coordinate ring of a connected semisimple Lie group is Auslander-Gorenstein and Cohen-Macaulay. The last statement answers a question of Goodearl-Zhang.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to use Clifford monoids to define weak Hopf quivers and to construct the corresponding class of weak Hopf algebras, i.e., the semilattice of graded weak Hopf algebras which were found to be useful in obtaining a regular R-matrix of a quantum double without a quasi-triangular structure. We define weak Hopf quivers and classify the semilattice of graded weak Hopf algebra structures over path coalgebras using weak Hopf quivers. This gives, precisely, a generalization of the classification of the graded weak Hopf algebra structures over path coalgebras using such quivers.

Two weak Hopf algebras are introduced: a weak Hopf algebrawslq (2) and aJ-weak Hopf algebravslq (2) which are investigated in detail. The monoids of group-like elements ofwslq (2) andvslq (2) are regular monoids, which supports the general conjucture on the connection betweek weak Hopf algebras and regular monoids. Abstract:The theory of weak Hopf algebras is a development of the theory of Hopf algebras, which is important in the theory of quantum groups and the related theory of mathematical physics. In this paper, we give a survey of this theory and its applications.Firstly, we review some concepts related to weak Hopf algebras and their relationship and moreover, some algebraical structures. Secondly, we collect the generalizations of quantum double, i.e. quantum quasi-double and quantum G-double, constructed from some certain weak Hopf algebras so as to obtain a class of singular solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation (QYBE). Their properties are also introduced in this part. Thirdly, as the important examples of weak Hopf algebras, some weaken quantized enveloping algebra are given which are associated with some generalizations of Lie algebra, such as generalized Kac-Moody algebra, Borcherds superalgebras. Moreover, their algebraic structures are discussed such that one can understand them clearly. Finally, some generalized notions of tensor category are introduced including pre-tensor category and weak tensor category and their braidings. They can be realized respectively from the categories of representations of the related classes of weak Hopf algebras and their quantum quasi-doubles. As the categorical version of a (singular) solutions of the QYBE, a general Yang-Baxter operator is studied. In summary, we list the diagrams of relations among these kinds of categories.

Abstract:We present a rich source of Hopf algebras starting from a cofinite central extension of a Noetherian Hopf algebra and a subgroup of the algebraic group of characters of the central Hopf subalgebra. The construction is transparent from a Tannakian perspective. We determine when the new Hopf algebras are co-Frobenius, or cosemisimple, or Noetherian, or regular, or have finite Gelfand-Kirillov dimension.

Abstract:We show that for a braided Hopf algebra in the category of comodules over a cosemisimple coquasitriangular Hopf algebra, the Hochschild cohomological dimension, the left and right global dimensions and the projective dimensions of the trivial left and right module all coincide. We also provide convenient criteria for smoothness and the twisted Calabi-Yau property for such braided Hopf algebras (without the cosemisimplicity assumption on $H$), in terms of properties of the trivial <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://module.These" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> generalize a well-known result in the case of ordinary Hopf algebras. As an illustration, we study the case of the coordinate algebra on the two-parameter braided quantum group $\textrm{SL}_{2}$.

Abstract:For a class of neither pointed nor semisimple Hopf algebras $H_{4n}$ of dimension $4n$, it is shown that they are quasi-triangular, which universal $R$-matrices are described. The corresponding weak Hopf algebras $\mathfrak{w}H_{4n}$ and their representations are constructed. Finally, their duality and their Green rings are established by generators and relations explicitly. It turns out that the Green rings of the associated weak Hopf algebras are not commutative even if the Green rings of $H_{4n}$ are commutative.

Abstract:Hopf algebroids are generalizations of Hopf algebras to less commutative settings. We show how the comultiplication defined by Kostant and Kumar turns the affine nil Hecke algebra associated to a Coxeter system into a Hopf algebroid without an antipode. The proof relies on mixed dihedral braid relations between Demazure operators and simple reflections. For researchers new to Hopf algebroids we include additional examples from ring theory, representation theory, and algebraic geometry.

Abstract:In this paper, we classify all prime Hopf algebras H of GK-dimension one satisfying the following two conditions: 1) H has a 1-dimensional representation of order PI.deg(H) and 2) the invariant components of H with respect to this 1-dimensional representation are domains (see Section 2 for related definitions). As consequences, 1) a number of new Hopf algebras of GK-dimension one are found and some of them are not pointed, 2) we give a partial answer to a question posed in [12] and 3) the question (1.1) is solved.

Abstract:We study the structure of the category of graded, connected, countable-dimensional, commutative and cocommutative Hopf algebras over a perfect field $k$ of characteristic $p$. Every $p$-torsion object in this category is uniquely a direct sum of explicitly given indecomposables. This gives rise to a similar classification of not necessarily $p$-torsion objects that are either free as commutative algebras or cofree as cocommutative coalgebras. We also completely classify those objects that are indecomposable modulo $p$.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that a non-semisimple Hopf algebra H of dimension 4p with p an odd prime over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero is pointed provided H contains more than two group-like elements. In particular, we prove that non-semisimple Hopf algebras of dimensions 20, 28 and 44 are pointed or their duals are pointed, and this completes the classification of Hopf algebras in these dimensions.

Abstract:We describe a bigraded cocommutative Hopf algebra structure on the weight zero compactly supported rational cohomology of the moduli space of principally polarized abelian varieties. By relating the primitives for the coproduct to graph cohomology, we deduce that $\dim H^{2g+k}_c(\mathcal{A}_g)$ grows at least exponentially with $g$ for $k = 0$ and for all but finitely many positive integers $k$. Our proof relies on a new result of independent interest; we use a filtered variant of the Waldhausen construction to show that Quillen's spectral sequence abutting to the cohomology of $BK(\mathbb{Z})$ is a spectral sequence of Hopf algebras. From the same construction, we also deduce that $\dim H^{\binom{n}{2} - n - k}(\mathrm{SL}_n(\mathbb{Z}))$ grows at least exponentially with $n$, for $k = -1$ and for all but finitely many non-negative integers $k$.

Abstract:We give a series of infinite dimensional noncommutative and noncocommutative pointed Hopf algebras, which are Artin-Schelter Gorenstein Hopf algebras with injective dimensions 3. Radford's Hopf algebra and Gelaki's Hopf algebra are homomorphic images of these Hopf algebras. We determine the irreducible representations of them. We describe the Grothendieck rings of them. We obtain that two non-isomorphic Hopf algebras could have isomorphic Grothendieck rings.

Abstract:We use Hopf algebroids to formulate a notion of a noncommutative and non-cocommutative Hopf 2-algebra. We show how these arise from a bicrossproduct Hopf algebra with Peiffer identities. In particular, we show that for a Hopf algebra $H$ with bijective antipode, the mirror bicrossproduct Hopf algebra $H\triangleright\!\!\!\blacktriangleleft H_{cop}$ is a Hopf 2-algebra. Abstract:We try to classify Hopf algebras with the Chevalley property according to their derived representation type. We show that a finite-dimensional indecomposable non-semisimple Hopf algebra $H$ with the Chevalley property is derived discrete if and only if it is isomorphic to $(A(n, 2, \mu, -1))^*$. Besides, we give a description for the indecomposable objects in $\mathcal{D}^b((A(n, 2, \mu, -1))^*)$ and determine their tensor products.

Abstract:We complete the classification of the 6-dimensional quasi-Hopf algebras, by proving that any such algebra is semisimple. As byproducts, we provide examples of 6-dimensional quasi-bialgebras that are not semisimple as algebras, as well as the concrete quasi-Hopf structures of the 6-dimensional semisimple quasi-Hopf algebras previously classified by Etingof and Gelaki in terms of their category of representations. In total there are 15 quasi-Hopf algebras in dimension 6 which are not pairwise twist equivalent.
