Abstract:In this paper, we generalize the Bochner-Kodaira formulas to the case of Hermitian complex (possibly non-holomorphic) vector bundles over compact Hermitian (possibly non-Kähler) manifolds. As applications, we get the complex analyticity of harmonic maps between compact Hermitian manifolds.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove a version of Arnol'd-Liouville theorem for C 1 commuting Hamiltonians. We show that the Lipschitz regularity of the foliation by invariant Lagrangian tori is crucial to determine the Dynamics on each Lagrangian torus and that the C 1 regularity of the foliation by invariant Lagrangian tori is crucial to prove the continuity of Arnol'd-Liouville coordinates. We also explore various notions of C 0 and Lipschitz integrability.

Abstract:We derive the variation formula of the partial derivative-energy and of the partial derivative-energy for a smooth map from a complex Finsler manifold to an Hermitian manifold. Applying the result on a nonlinear elliptic system due to J. Jost and S. T. Yau, we obtain some existence theorems of harmonic maps from strongly Kahler Finsler manifolds to Kahler manifolds. Also, for such maps, we show that the difference between partial derivative-energy and partial derivative-energy is a homotopy invariant.

Abstract:The authors consider ±(Φ, J)-holomorphic maps from Sasakian manifolds into Kähler manifolds, which can be seen as counterparts of holomorphic maps in Kähler geometry. It is proved that those maps must be harmonic and basic. Then a Schwarz lemma for those maps is obtained. On the other hand, an invariant in its basic homotopic class is obtained. Moreover, the invariant is just held in the class of basic maps.
Liouville-Arnold theorem for contact Hamiltonian systems

Abstract:A Hamiltonian system is completely integrable (in the sense of Liouville) if there exist as many independent integrals of motion in involution as the dimension of the configuration space. Under certain regularity conditions, Liouville-Arnold theorem states that the invariant geometric structure associated with Liouville integrability is a fibration by Lagrangian tori (or, more generally, Abelian groups), on which the motion is linear. In this paper, a Liouville-Arnold theorem for contact Hamiltonian systems is proven. In particular, it is shown that, given a $(2n+1)$-dimensional completely integrable contact system, one can construct a foliation by $(n+1)$-dimensional Abelian groups and induce action-angle coordinates in which the equations of motion are linearized. One important novelty with respect to previous attempts is that the foliation consists of $(n+1)$-dimensional coisotropic submanifolds given by the preimages of rays by the functions in involution. In order to prove the theorem, we first develop a version of Liouville-Arnold theorem for homogeneous functions in exact symplectic manifolds (which is of independent interest), and then apply symplectization to obtain the contact case.

Abstract:We prove some Liouville type results for generalized holomorphic maps in three classes: maps from pseudo-Hermitian manifolds to almost Hermitian manifolds, maps from almost Hermitian manifolds to pseudo-Hermitian manifolds and maps from pseudo-Hermitian manifolds to pseudo-Hermitian manifolds, assuming that the domains are compact. For instance, we show that any $(J,J^N)$ holomorphic map from a compact pseudo-Hermitian manifold $M$ with nonnegative (resp. positive) pseudo-Hermitian sectional curvature to an almost Hermitian manifold $N$ with negative (resp. nonpositive) holomorphic sectional curvature is constant. We also construct explicit almost CR structures on a complex vector bundle over an almost CR manifold.

On complex extension of the Liouville map

Abstract:The Liouville map assigns to each point in the Teichmüller space a positive Radon measure on the space of geodesics of the universal covering of the base Riemann surface. This construction which was introduced by Bonahon is valid for both finite and infinite Riemann surfaces. Bonahon and Sözen proved that the Liouville map is differentiable for closed Riemann surfaces and the second author extended this result to all other Riemann surfaces. Otal proved that the Liouville map is real analytic using an idea from the geometric analysis. The purpose of this note is to give another proof of Otal's result using a complex analysis approach.

Abstract:We study several new invariants associated to a holomorphic projective structure on a Riemann surface of finite analytic type: the Lyapunov exponent of its holonomy which is of probabilistic/dynamical nature and was introduced in our previous work; the degree which measures the asymptotic covering rate of the developing map; and a family of harmonic measures on the Riemann sphere, previously introduced by Hussenot. We show that the degree and the Lyapunov exponent are related by a simple formula and give estimates for the Hausdorff dimension of the harmonic measures in terms of the Lyapunov exponent. In accordance with the famous Sullivan dictionary, this leads to a description of the space of such projective structures that is reminiscent of that of the space of polynomials in holomorphic dynamics.

Then, we consider a small analytic perturbation of $\bar {\mathtt H}$ of the form $${\mathtt H}^*(\mathtt P,\mathtt Q;\hat{\mathtt P}) = \mathtt P^2+\bar {\mathtt G}(\mathtt Q)+ \eta {\mathtt F} (\mathtt P,\mathtt Q;\hat{\mathtt P})=:\mathtt P^2 + {\mathtt G}^*(\mathtt P,\mathtt Q;\hat{\mathtt P})\,, \qquad \eta\ll 1\ ,$$ where the perturbed potential $ {\mathtt G}^*$ may depend on the action $\mathtt P$ and also on parameters $\hat{\mathtt P}$ ("the adiabatic actions"); indeed, this is the form of a finite dimensional mechanical system close to an exact simple resonance after averaging over fast angles and disregarding the exponentially small remainder, see [5]. Up to a finite number of separatrices and elliptic/hyperbolic points the phase space of ${\mathtt H}^*$ is divided into a finite number of open connected components foliated by invariant circles. On every connected component we perform a (Arnold-Liouville) symplectic action-angle transformation which integrates the system. We give a complete and quantitative description of the analyticity properties of such integrating transformations, estimating, in particular, how such transformations differ from the integrating transformation for $\bar {\mathtt H}$; compare Theorem 6.1 below.
Holomorphic motions, natural families of entire maps, and multiplier-like objects for wandering domains

Abstract:Structural stability of holomorphic functions has been the subject of much research in the last fifty years. Due to various technicalities, however, most of that work has focused on so-called finite-type functions (functions whose set of singular values has finite cardinality). Recent developments in the field go beyond this setting. In this paper we extend Eremenko and Lyubich's result on natural families of entire maps to the case where the set of singular values is not the entire complex plane, showing under this assumption that the set $M_f$ of entire functions quasiconformally equivalent to $f$ admits the structure of a complex manifold (of possibly infinite dimension). Moreover, we will consider functions with wandering domains -- another hot topic of research in complex dynamics. Given an entire function $f$ with a simply connected wandering domain $U$, we construct an analogue of the multiplier of a periodic orbit, called a distortion sequence, and show that, under some hypotheses, the distortion sequence moves analytically as $f$ moves within appropriate parameter families.

Degenerate complex Monge-Ampère equations on some compact Hermitian manifolds

Abstract:Let $X$ be a compact complex manifold which admits a hermitian metric satisfying a curvature condition introduced by Guan-Li. Given a semipositive form $\theta$ with positive volume, we define the Monge-Ampère operator for unbounded $\theta$-psh functions and prove that it is continuous with respect to convergence in capacity. We then develop pluripotential tools to study degenerate complex Monge-Ampère equations in this context, extending recent results of Tosatti-Weinkove, Kolodziej-Nguyen, Guedj-Lu and many others who treat bounded solutions.

Abstract:We prove a degenerate homological Arnol'd conjecture on Lagrangian intersections beyond the case studied by A. Floer and H. Hofer via a new version of Lagrangian Ljusternik--Schnirelman theory. We introduce the notion of (Lagrangian) fundamental quantum factorizations and use them to give some uniform lower bounds of the numbers of Lagrangian intersections for some classical examples including Clifford tori in complex projective spaces. Additionally, we use the Lagrangian Ljusternik-Schnirelman theory to study the size of the intersection of a monotone Lagrangian with its image of a Hamiltonian diffeomorphism.

Abstract:We prove several Liouville theorems for F -harmonic maps from some complete Riemannian manifolds by assuming some conditions on the Hessian of the distance function, the degrees of F ( t ) and the asymptotic behavior of the maps at infinity. In particular, the results can be applied to F -harmonic maps from some pinched manifolds, and can deduce a Bernstein type result for an entire minimal graph.

Abstract:We study in this article the cohomological properties of Lagrangian families on projective hyper-Kähler manifolds. First, we give a criterion for the vanishing of Abel-Jacobi maps of Lagrangian families. Using this criterion, we show that under a natural condition, if the variation of Hodge structures on the degree $1$ cohomomology of the fibers of the Lagrangian family is maximal, its Abel-Jacobi map is trivial. We also construct Lagrangian families on generalized Kummer varieties whose Abel-Jacobi map is not trivial, showing that our criterion is optimal.

Abstract:In this paper, we study $(\mathcal F,\mathcal F')_{p}$-harmonic maps between foliated Riemannian manifolds $(M,g,\mathcal F)$ and $(M',g',\mathcal F')$. A $(\mathcal F,\mathcal F')_{p}$-harmonic map $\phi:(M,g,\mathcal F)\to (M', g',\mathcal F')$ is a critical point of the transversal $p$-energy functional $E_{B,p}$. Trivially, $(\mathcal F,\mathcal F')_2$-harmonic map is $(\mathcal F,\mathcal F')$-harmonic map, which is a critical point of $E_B$. There is another definition of a harmonic map on foliated Riemannian manifolds, called transversally harmonic map, which is a solution of the Euler-Largrange equation $\tau_b(\phi)=0$. Two definitions are not equivalent, but if $\mathcal F$ is minimal, then two definitons are equivalent. Firstly, we give the first and second variational formulas for $(\mathcal F,\mathcal F')_{p}$-harmonic maps. Next, we investigate the generalized Weitzenb\"ock type formula and the Liouville type theorem for $(\mathcal F,\mathcal F')_{p}$-harmonic map.
Harmonic, Holomorphic and Rational Maps from Self-Duality

Abstract:We propose a generalization of the so-called rational map ansatz on the Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^3$, for any compact simple Lie group $G$ such that $G/{\widehat K}\otimes U(1)$ is an Hermitian symmetric space, for some subgroup ${\widehat K}$ of $G$. It generalizes the rational maps on the two-sphere $SU(2)/U(1)$, and also on $CP^N=SU(N+1)/SU(N)\otimes U(1)$, and opens up the way for applications of such ansätze on non-linear sigma models, Skyrme theory and magnetic monopoles in Yang-Mills-Higgs theories. Our construction is based on a well known mathematical result stating that stable harmonic maps $X$ from the two-sphere $S^2$ to compact Hermitian symmetric spaces $G/{\widehat K}\otimes U(1)$ are holomorphic or anti-holomorphic. We derive such a mathematical result using ideas involving the concept of self-duality, in a way that makes it more accessible to theoretical physicists. Using a topological (homotopic) charge that admits an integral representation, we construct first order partial differential self-duality equations such that their solutions also solve the (second order) Euler-Lagrange associated to the harmonic map energy $E=\int_{S^2} \mid dX\mid^2 d\mu$. We show that such solutions saturate a lower bound on the energy $E$, and that the self-duality equations constitute the Cauchy-Riemann equations for the maps $X$. Therefore, they constitute harmonic and (anti)holomorphic maps, and lead to the generalization of the rational map ansätze in $\mathbb{R}^3$.
