Abstract:Let $A$ be a bi-Koszul algebra, we describe all possible $A_\infty$-algebra structures on the Ext-algebra $E(A)$, and prove that $E(A)$ must be $[m_2, m_3]$-finitely generated. An equivalent description for a connected graded algebra to be a bi-Koszul algebra is given in terms of $A_\infty$-language. The case that $E(A)$ is endowed with minimal number of multiplications is discussed for decomposition.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to study the structure and the algebraic varieties of Hom-associative algebras. We characterize multiplicative simple Hom-associative algebras and give some examples deforming the 2 × 2-matrix algebra to simple Hom-associative algebras. We provide a classification of n-dimensional Hom-associative algebras for n ≤ 3. Then we study irreducible components using deformation theory.

Abstract:In these lecture notes, we give an introduction to the classification theorem of semisimple bihamiltonian structures, with as much details as possible. The equivalence classes of this classification problem are characterized by the so-called central invariants. In the last section, two examples are given to illuminate the applications of central invariants in cohomological field theories.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to the complete algebraic and geometric classification of complex 4 and 5-dimensional antiassociative algebras. In particular, we proved that the variety of complex 4-dimensional antiassociative algebras has dimension 12 and it is defined by three irreducible components (in particular, there is only 1 rigid algebra in this variety); the variety of complex 5-dimensional antiassociative algebras has dimension 24 and it is defined by 8 irreducible components (in particular, there are only 4 rigid algebras in this variety).

Abstract:These are expanded and revised notes for a minicourse entitled "Affine W-algebras", which took place as part of the thematic month "Quantum Symmetries" at the Centre de Recherches Mathematiques in Montreal, Canada in October 2022. The first few sections consist of rapid introductions to vertex algebras, affine Kac-Moody algebras and their integrable and admissible modules, and the homological BRST procedure for quantum Hamiltonian reduction. The affine W-algebras are defined using these ingredients. The remainder of the notes treats the structure and representation theory of the exceptional affine W-algebras, with emphasis on modular tensor categories of representations.

Abstract:This is a short article based on the plenary lecture presented by the author at Algebra Computability and Logic conference in Kazan, June 1–6, 2014. The paper is a new approach that introduces effectiveness into the study of algebraic structures. In this approach the initial objects are the domains of the form ω/E, where E is an equivalence relation on ω. In this set-up one investigates effective algebraic structures that are admitted by domains of the formω/E. This lecture was motivated by the papers [2, 20, 21], open questions in [17], and is based on the papers [15, 16, 19, 23].

Abstract:In various subjects including mathematics, one can hope to use mathematical thinking well when the right kinds of algebraic structure to consider can be discovered or spotted. Therefore, it would help to understand kinds of algebraic structure in some great generality. In tradition, certain general kinds of algebraic structure are studied through the theory of operads, of algebraic theories, of properads (possibly with "colours" or "sorts") or of the like. We understand this as use of algebra for studying a certain meta aspect of the subject of algebra, namely, studying kinds of algebraic structure in general (rather than structures of specific kinds themselves). In higher categorical contexts, more various algebraic structures can be considered (starting in fact with operads considered with arbitrarily varying colours) than can be covered with mere higher categorified versions of the traditional tools. In this survey, we develop a systematic view on quite general algebraic structures with high categorical dimensionality. We do this by extending algebra for the meta aspect of algebra, to a higher order, or highly meta, theory of algebra, where the theoretic order turns out to match the categorical dimension. We will discuss some examples including a natural generalization of the notion of topological field theory (TFT) obtained in the resulting new system. It turns out a generalized TFT can have a very different characterization from a conventional TFT does.

Abstract:These lecture notes are based on the second course in a series of lectures at the Spring school "Non-archimedean geometry and Eigenvarieties" in March 2023 in Heidelberg. The objective of the first three courses was to give an introduction to the theory of adic spaces. Building up on the theory of Huber pairs presented in John Bergdall's lecture we explain the construction of adic spaces. We study some important classes of adic spaces such as rigid analytic spaces and formal schemes and show the connections between them. In the course of the lecture we will illustrate the respective concepts with the fundamental examples of the open and closed disc and the affine line.

Abstract:Affine structures on a Lie groupoid, including affine k-vector fields, k-forms and (p,q)-tensors are studied. We show that the space of affine structures is a 2-vector space over the space of multiplicative structures. Moreover, the space of affine multivector fields has a natural graded strict Lie 2-algebra structure and affine (1,1)-tensors constitute a strict monoidal category. Such higher structures can be seen as the categorification of multiplicative structures on a Lie groupoid.

Abstract:A compatible associative algebra is a vector space equipped with two associative multiplication structures that interact in a certain natural way. This article presents the classification of these algebras with dimension less than four, as well as the classifications of their corresponding derivations, centroids, automorphisms, and quasi-centroids. We then characterize a selection of further invariants such as Rota-Baxter operators and second cohomology for some specific examples.

Abstract:Abstract We define a class of associative algebras generalizing ‘clannish algebras’, as introduced by the second author, but also incorporating semilinear structure, like a skew polynomial ring. Clannish algebras generalize the well‐known ‘string algebras’ introduced by Butler and Ringel. Our main result is the classification of finite‐dimensional indecomposable modules for these new algebras.

Abstract:We study the structure of the category of graded, connected, countable-dimensional, commutative and cocommutative Hopf algebras over a perfect field $k$ of characteristic $p$. Every $p$-torsion object in this category is uniquely a direct sum of explicitly given indecomposables. This gives rise to a similar classification of not necessarily $p$-torsion objects that are either free as commutative algebras or cofree as cocommutative coalgebras. We also completely classify those objects that are indecomposable modulo $p$.

Abstract:Poisson algebras have become an essential topic in mathematics with a rich structure and wide applicability. Despite numerous resources available on Poisson structures, the algebraic side of the story remains relatively less explored. This paper presents an extended version of a mini-course given during the virtual Winter School and Workshop "Wisla 20-21." The course covers various aspects of Poisson algebras, focusing on both algebraic and geometric perspectives. While most of the lectures cover established results, the final chapter includes recent classification results on "low rank" double quadratic Poisson brackets.
