Abstract:A new kind of partner curve called osculating mate of a Frenet curve is introduced. Some characterizations for osculating mate are obtained and using the obtained results some special curves such as slant helix, spherical helix, $C$-slant helix and rectifying curve are constructed.

Abstract:In this study, we introduce the natural mate and conjugate mate of a Frenet curve in a three dimensional Lie group $ \mathbb{G} $ with bi-invariant metric. Also, we give some relationships between a Frenet curve and its natural mate or its conjugate mate in $ \mathbb{G} $. Especially, we obtain some results for the natural mate and the conjugate mate of a Frenet curve in $ \mathbb{G} $ when the Frenet curve is a general helix, a slant helix, a spherical curve, a rectifying curve, a Salkowski (constant curvature and non-constant torsion), anti-Salkowski (non-constant curvature and constant torsion), Bertrand curve. Finally, we give nice graphics with numeric solution in Euclidean 3-space as a commutative Lie group.

Abstract:The aim of this article is to characterize pairs of curves within multiplicative (non-Newtonian) spaces. Specifically, we investigate how famous curve pairs such as Bertrand partner curves, Mannheim partner curves, which are prominent in differential geometry, are transformed under the influence of multiplicative analysis. By leveraging the relationships between multiplicative Frenet vectors, we introduce multiplicative versions of Bertrand, Mannheim curve pairs. Subsequently, we characterize these curve pairs using multiplicative arguments. Examples are provided, and multiplicative graphs are presented to enhance understanding of the subject matter. Through this analysis, we aim to elucidate the behavior and properties of these curve pairs within the context of multiplicative geometry.

Abstract:In this paper, we give the characterizations of Mannheim Partner Curves in Minkowski 3-space . Firstly, we classify these curves in . Next, we give some relationships characterizing these curves and we show that Mannheim theorem is not valid for Mannheim partner curves in . Moreover, by considering the spherical indicatrix of the Frénet vectors of those curves, we obtain some new relationships between the curvatures and torsions of the Mannheim partner curves in .

Abstract:The aim of this work is to investigate osculating type ruled surfaces with a type 2-Bishop frame in E3. We accomplish this by employing the symmetry of osculating curves. We examine osculating type ruled surfaces by taking into account the curvatures of the base curve. We investigate the geometric properties of these surfaces, focusing on their cylindrical and developable characteristics. Moreover, we calculate the Gaussian and mean curvatures and provide the requirements for the surface to be flat and minimal. We determine the requirements for the curves lying on this surface to be geodesic, asymptotic curves, or lines of curvature. Furthermore, relations between osculating type ruled surfaces with central tangent and central normal vectors are given. Finally, some examples of these surfaces are presented.

Abstract:Willmore defined embedded surfaces on f:S→E3, which is the embedding of S into Euclidean 3-space. He investigated the Euclidean metric of E3, inducing a Riemannian structure on f(S). The expression analogous to the left-hand member of the curvature K is replaced by the mean curvature H2 on f(S). Our aim is to observe the Gaussian and mean curvatures of curve–surface pairs using embedded surfaces in different curve–surface pairs and to define some developable operations on their curve–surface pairs. We also investigate the embedded surfaces using the Willmore method. We first recall the Darboux curve–surface and derive the new characterizations. This curve–surface pair is called the osculating Darboux curve–surface if its position vector always lies in the osculating Darboux plane spanned by a Darboux frame. Thus, we observed an osculating Darboux curve–surface pair. We also obtained the D∼-scroll of the curve–surface pair and involute D∼-scroll of the curve–surface pair with some differential geometric elements and found D∼(α,M)(s) and D∗∼(α,M)(s)-scrolls of the curve–surface pair (α,M).

Abstract:In the present paper, we give new Frenet formulas for the Bertrand partner curve by taking the advantage of relations between curvatures and a curve itself. Then making use of these formulas we write the differential equations and sufficient conditions of harmonicity of the Bertrand partner curve in terms of the main curve. Finally, we exemplify our assertions on the curve helix to see how the formulas we developed work.

Abstract:Geometric constructions are widely used in computer graphics and engineering drawing. A right generalized cylinder is a ruled surface whose base curve is a plane curve perpendicular to the rulings. The paper discusses relations between the base curve and the non-planar space curve on the right generalized cylinder. Based on these relations, a method for obtaining a new space curve from a given plane curve parameterized about an arbitrary parameter is presented. At first, we define a non-planar space curve on the right generalized cylinder whose base curve is the considered plane curve, parameterized about an arbitrary parameter. Later on, we examine the focal curve of the obtained cylindrical curve which is also a non-planar curve. The Frenet-Seret system of the cylindrical curve and its focal curve are expressed in terms of the signed curvature of the abovementioned plane curve and its derivatives. Finally, we obtained the parametric representation of orthogonal projection of the focal curve onto the Euclidean plane via before mentioned plane curve and its derivatives. That curve is called generalized focal curve of a plane curve. The proposed method is demonstrated for several closed plane curves used in engineering practice. These curves include: epicycloid, hypocycloid and a curve that is orthogonal projection of toroidal helix onto the Euclidean plane.

Abstract:Methods for curve modeling with cubic algebraic curves based on geometric constraints are introduced in this paper. A 1-parameter family of cubic curves with four given points as well as two tangent lines at the endpoints is constructed in the first part of the paper. A 1-parameter family and 2-parameter family of cubic curve constructions are presented for interpolating two given endpoints and two given tangent lines as well as two given curvatures at the endpoints in the last part of the paper.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to study triharmonic curves in three dimensional f-Kenmotsu manifolds. We investigate necessary and sufficient conditions for Frenet curves, and specifically for slant and Legendre curves to be triharmonic. Then we prove that triharmonic Frenet curves with constant curvature are Frenet helices in three dimensional f-Kenmotsu manifolds. Next, we give a nonexistence theorem that there is no triharmonic Legendre curve in three dimensional f-Kenmotsu manifolds.

Abstract:In this study, we determine a new type comprehensive frame, which is called the generalized Frenet‐type frame in three‐dimensional Lie groups with Myller configurations, and it includes several special and classical type frames for Euclidean 3‐space and three‐dimensional Lie groups. After constructing this new comprehensive frame, we obtain derivative formulas with the help of the Lie curvature. In addition, we define some special type curves. The geometry of versor fields along a curve with Frenet‐type frame in three‐dimensional Lie groups with Myller configurations is a generalization of the usual theory of curves. Since this particular relationship, the osculating‐type and rectifying‐type curves with Frenet‐type frame in three‐dimensional Lie groups with Myller configurations include some special cases for osculating and rectifying curves in different spaces.

Abstract:In the present article we construct new families of free and nearly free curves starting from a plane cubic curve $C$ and adding some of its hyperosculating conics. We present results that involve nodal cubic curves and the Fermat cubic. In addition, we provide new insight into the geometry of the $27$ hyperosculating conics of the Fermat cubic curve using well-chosen group actions.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, we first define the vector product in Minkowski space $\mathbb{R}_{4}^{7}$, which is identified with the space of spatial split-octonions. Next, we derive the $G_{2}-$ frame formulae for a seven dimensional Minkowski curve by using the spatial split-octonions and the vector product. We show that Frenet–Serret formulas are satisfied for a spatial split octonionic curve. We obtain the congruence of two spatial split octonionic curves and give relationship between the $G_{2}-$ frame and Frenet–Serret frame. Furthermore, we present the Frenet–Serret frame with split octonions in $\mathbb{R}_{4}^{8}$. Finally, we give illustrative examples with Matlab codes.

Abstract:A twisted curve in Euclidean 3-space E^3 can be considered as a curve whose position vector can be written as linear combination of its Frenet vectors. In the present study we study the twisted curves of constant ratio in E^3 and characterize such curves in terms of their curvature functions. Further, we obtain some results of T-constant and N-constant type twisted curves in E^3. Finally, we give some examples of equiangular spirals which are constant ratio curves.

Abstract:Here, we focus on focal surfaces of a tubular surface in Euclidean 3-space E^3: Firstly, we give the tubular surfaces with respect to Frenet and Darboux frames. Then, we define focal surfaces of these tubular surfaces. We get some results for these types of surfaces to become flat and we show that there is no minimal focal surface of a tubular surface in E^3. We give some examples for these type surfaces. Further, we show that u-parameter curves cannot be asymptotic curves and we obtain some results about v-parameter curves of the focal surface M^*.
