Abstract:Abstract. We show that a Kleinian surface group, or hyperbolic 3-manifold with a cusp-preserving homotopy-equivalence to a surface, has bounded geometry if and only if there is an upper bound on an associated collection of coefficients that depend only on its end invariants. Bounded geometry is a positive lower bound on the lengths of closed geodesics. When the surface is a once-punctured torus, the coefficients coincide with the continued fraction coefficients associated to the ending laminations.

Abstract:In this paper, we demonstrate that the lattice structure of a set of clusters in a cluster algebra of finite type is anti-isomorphic to the torsion lattice of a certain Geiss-Leclerc-Schröer (GLS) path algebra and to the $c$-Cambrian lattice. We prove this by explicitly describing the exchange quivers of cluster algebras of finite type. Specifically, we prove that these quivers are anti-isomorphic to those formed by support $\tau$-tilting modules in GLS path algebras and to those formed by $c$-clusters consisting of almost positive roots.

Abstract:This paper classifies the pairs of nonzero integers $(m,n)$ for which the locally compact group of combinatorial automorphisms, Aut$(X_{m,n})$, contains incommensurable torsion-free lattices, where $X_{m,n}$ is the combinatorial model for Baumslag-Solitar group $BS(m, n)$. In particular, we show that Aut$(X_{m,n})$ contains abstractly incommensurable torsion-free lattices if and only if there exists a prime $p \leq gcd(m, n)$ such that either $m/gcd(m,n)$ or $n/gcd(m,n)$ is divisible by $p$. Additionally, we show that when Aut$(X_{m,n})$ does not contain incommensurable lattices, the cell complex $X_{m,n}$ satisfies Leighton$'$s property.

Abstract:We study the lower bound algebras generated by the generalized projective cluster variables of acyclic generalized cluster algebras of geometric types. We prove that this lower bound algebra coincides with the corresponding generalized cluster algebra under the coprimality condition. As a corollary, we obtain the dual PBW bases of these generalized cluster algebras. Moreover, we show that if the standard monomials of a generalized cluster algebra of geometric type are linearly independent, then the directed graph associated to the initial generalized seed of this generalized cluster algebra does not have 3-cycles.

Abstract:We compute the class group of a full rank upper cluster algebra in terms of its exchange polynomials. As a corollary, we recover a theorem by Cao, Keller, and Qin from 2023 characterizing the UFDs among these algebras. Furthermore, under the additional hypothesis of acyclicity, we obtain a result by Garcia Elsener, Lampe, and Smertnig from 2019. Moreover, we show that all cluster and upper cluster algebras are finite factorization domains, meaning that every non-unit factors as a product of atoms (or irreducibles) and, for each element, there are only finitely many such factorizations up to order and associates. This strengthens another result by Cao, Keller, and Qin showing that cluster and upper cluster algebras are atomic.

Abstract:Generalized quantum cluster algebras introduced in [1] are quantum deformation of generalized cluster algebras of geometric types. In this paper, we prove that the Laurent phenomenon holds in these generalized quantum cluster algebras. Abstract:For a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ admitting a non-trivial minuscule representation and a connected marked surface $\Sigma$ with at least two marked points and no punctures, we prove that the cluster algebra $\mathscr{A}_{\mathfrak{g},\Sigma}$ associated with the pair $(\mathfrak{g},\Sigma)$ coincides with the upper cluster algebra $\mathscr{U}_{\mathfrak{g},\Sigma}$. The proof is based on the fact that the function ring $\mathcal{O}(\mathcal{A}^\times_{G,\Sigma})$ of the moduli space of decorated twisted $G$-local systems on $\Sigma$ is generated by matrix coefficients of Wilson lines introduced in [IO20]. As an application, we prove that the Muller-type skein algebras $\mathscr{S}_{\mathfrak{g}, \Sigma}[\partial^{-1}]$ [Muller,IY23,IY22] for $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{sl}_2, \mathfrak{sl}_3,$ or $\mathfrak{sp}_4$ are isomorphic to the cluster algebras $\mathscr{A}_{\mathfrak{g}, \Sigma}$.

Abstract:We study the connection between the fundamental groups of complex hyperbolic manifolds and those of spaces arising from the (relative) strict hyperbolization process due to Charney--Davis and Davis--Januszkiewicz--Weinberger. Viewing a non-uniform lattice $\Gamma$ in $\text{PU}(n,1)$ as a relatively hyperbolic group with respect to its cusp subgroups in the usual way, we show that when $n\geq 2$, $\Gamma$ is not isomorphic to any relatively hyperbolic group arising from the relative strict hyperbolization process, via work of Lafont--Ruffoni. We also prove that a uniform lattice in $\text{PU}(n,1)$ is not the fundamental group of a Charney-Davis strict hyperbolization when $n\geq 2$, assuming the initial complex satisfies some mild conditions.

Symmetry Integrability and Geometry Methods and Applications

Abstract:We develop and prove the analogs of some results shown in [Berenstein A., Fomin S., Zelevinsky A., Duke Math. J. 126 (2005), 1-52] concerning lower and upper bounds of cluster algebras to the generalized cluster algebras of geometric type. We show that lower bounds coincide with upper bounds under the conditions of acyclicity and coprimality. Consequently, we obtain the standard monomial bases of these generalized cluster algebras. Moreover, in the appendix, we prove that an acyclic generalized cluster algebra is equal to the corresponding generalized upper cluster algebra without the assumption of the existence of coprimality.

Abstract:We complete the study of characters on higher rank semisimple lattices initiated in [BH19,BBHP20], the missing case being the case of lattices in higher rank simple algebraic groups in arbitrary characteristics. More precisely, we investigate dynamical properties of the conjugation action of such lattices on their space of positive definite functions. Our main results deal with the existence and the classification of characters from which we derive applications to topological dynamics, ergodic theory, unitary representations and operator algebras. Our key theorem is an extension of the noncommutative Nevo-Zimmer structure theorem obtained in [BH19] to the case of simple algebraic groups defined over arbitrary local fields. We also deduce a noncommutative analogue of Margulis' factor theorem for von Neumann subalgebras of the noncommutative Poisson boundary of higher rank arithmetic groups.

Abstract:Let Q be a finite quiver without oriented cycles, let \Lambda be the associated preprojective algebra, let g be the associated Kac-Moody Lie algebra with Weyl group W, and let n be the positive part of g. For each Weyl group element w, a subcategory C_w of mod(\Lambda) was introduced by Buan, Iyama, Reiten and Scott. It is known that C_w is a Frobenius category and that its stable category is a Calabi-Yau category of dimension two. We show that C_w yields a cluster algebra structure on the coordinate ring \CC[N(w)] of the unipotent group N(w) := N \cap (w^{-1}N_-w). Here N is the pro-unipotent pro-group with Lie algebra the completion of n. One can identify \CC[N(w)] with a subalgebra of the graded dual of the universal enveloping algebra U(n) of n. Let S^* be the dual of Lusztig's semicanonical basis S of U(n). We show that all cluster monomials of \CC[N(w)] belong to S^*, and that S^* \cap \CC[N(w)] is a basis of \CC[N(w)]. Moreover, we show that the cluster algebra obtained from \CC[N(w)] by formally inverting the generators of the coefficient ring is isomorphic to the algebra \CC[N^w] of regular functions on the unipotent cell N^w := N \cap (B_-wB_-) of the Kac-Moody group G with Lie algebra g. We obtain a corresponding dual semicanonical basis of \CC[N^w]. As one application we obtain a basis for each acyclic cluster algebra, which contains all cluster monomials in a natural way.

Abstract:Generalizing the notion of a multiplicative inequality among minors of a totally positive matrix, we describe, over full rank cluster algebras of finite type, the cone of Laurent monomials in cluster variables that are bounded as a real-valued function on the positive locus of the cluster variety. We prove that the extreme rays of this cone are the u-variables of the cluster algebra. Using this description, we prove that all bounded ratios are bounded by 1 and give a sufficient condition for all such ratios to be subtraction free. This allows us to show in Gr(2, n), Gr(3, 6), Gr(3, 7), Gr(3, 8) that every bounded Laurent monomial in Plücker coordinates factors into a positive integer combination of so-called primitive ratios. In Gr(4, 8) this factorization does not exists, but we provide the full list of extreme rays of the cone of bounded Laurent monomials in Plücker coordinates.
