Abstract:The purpose of this paper was to introduce several $ b $-generalized contractive mappings in the framework of cone $ b $-metric spaces over Banach algebras. The obtained contractions generalized and extended the counterparts in metric spaces, cone metric spaces, and $ b $-metric spaces. Moreover, via weakening the completeness of the spaces, we gave some fixed point theorems for asymptotically regular mappings without considering the orbital continuity and $ k $-continuity of the mappings. Those who need a specification is our results do not rely on the continuity of $ b $-metric and the normality of cones. In addition, some nontrivial examples were presented to illustrate the superiority of our fixed point theorems.

Abstract:In this article, we introduce the structure of a new extended cone b-metric-like space over a Banach algebra. In this generalized space, we define the notion of generalized Reich-type mappings and prove a fixed point result. We also prove a fixed point result using multivalued contraction and provide some of its consequences. Finally, we furnish with applications to establish the validity of our results.

Abstract:Let X be a Banach space. Let T: X -> 2(X) be a set-valued mapping with closed graph which is not necessarily monotone. In the present paper, we introduce a Gauss-type proximal point algorithm for solving the inclusion problem 0 is an element of T(x). We establish the convergence criteria of the Gauss-type proximal point algorithm, which guarantees the existence and the convergence of any sequence generated by the algorithm under mild conditions. More precisely, semilocal and local convergence of the Gauss-type proximal point method are analyzed when T is metrically regular.
Periodic points of mappings contracting total pairwise distance

Abstract:We consider a new type of mappings in metric spaces so-called mappings contracting total pairwise distance on $n$ points. It is shown that such mappings are continuous. A theorem on the existence of periodic points for such mappings is proved and the classical Banach fixed-point theorem is obtained like a simple corollary as well as the fixed-point theorem for mappings contracting perimeters of triangles. Examples of mappings contracting total pairwise distance on $n$ points and having different properties are constructed.

In this paper, we obtain new fixed point theorems assuming that T satisfies a contractive-type condition of the following form: $$\begin{aligned} \psi (d(Tx,Ty)) \le \varphi (d(x,y)) \end{aligned}$$or T satisfies a generalized contractive-type condition of the form $$\begin{aligned} \psi (d(Tx,Ty)) \le \varphi (m(x,y)), \end{aligned}$$where ${\psi ,\varphi :(0,\infty ) \rightarrow {\mathbb {R}}}$ and m(x, y) is defined by $$\begin{aligned} m(x,y) = \max \left\{ d(x,y), d(x,Tx), d(y,Ty), [d(x,Ty)+d(y,Tx)] / 2 \right\} . \end{aligned}$$In both cases, the results extend and unify many earlier results. Among the other results, we prove that recent fixed point theorems of Wardowski (2012) and Jleli and Samet (2014) are equivalent to a special case of the well-known fixed point theorem of Skof (1977).

Abstract:In this paper, a generalization of fixed-point mappings with an iterate at a point in complete metric spaces is shown, using the notions of T-closed sets and i-P-regularity/d-P-regularity, proving conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the fixed point. Examples are provided to illustrate the results and an application to coupled fixed points is shown.

Abstract:Since the topological properties of a b-metric space (which generalizes the concept of a metric space) seem sometimes counterintuitive due to the fact that the "open" balls may not be open sets, we review some aspects of these spaces concerning compactness, metrizability, continuity and fixed points. After doing so, we introduce new types of contractivities that extend the concept of Banach contraction. We study some of their properties, giving sufficient conditions for the existence of fixed points and common fixed points. Afterwards, we consider some iterative schemes in quasi-normed spaces for the approximation of these critical points, analyzing their convergence and stability. We apply these concepts to the resolution of a model of integral equation of Urysohn type. In the last part of the paper, we refine some results about partial contractivities in the case where the underlying set is a strong b-metric space, and we establish some relations between mutual weak contractions and quasi-contractions and the new type of contractivity.

Abstract:The main aspect of this paper is to investigate some topological properties and Kannan-type contractions in extended cone b-metric spaces. Additionally we have imposed some extra conditions such that a sequence in an extended cone b-metric space becomes a Cauchy sequence. Abstract:Fixed Point Theory is among the most valued research topics nowadays. Over the years, it has been developed in three directions: by generalizing the metric space, by establishing new contractive conditions, and by applying its results to various fields such as Differential Equations, Integral Equations, Economics, etc. In this paper, we define a new class of cone metric spaces called the class of extended quasi-cone b-metric spaces. Extended quasi-cone b-metric spaces generalize cone metric spaces and quasi-cone b-metric spaces. We have studied topological issues, such as the right and left topologies, right (left) Cauchy, and convergent sequences. Furthermore, there are determined generalized τ-almost contractions, which extend the almost contractions. The highlight of this study is the investigation of the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point for some types of generalized τ-almost contractions in extended quasi-cone b-metric space. We prove some corollaries and theorems for known contractions in extended quasi-cone b-metric spaces. Our results generalize some known theorems given in literature due to the new cone metric spaces and contractions. Concrete examples illustrate theoretical outcomes. In addition, we show an application of the main results to Integral Equations, which provides the applicative side of them.

Abstract:The authors explore fixed-point theory in b-metric spaces and strong b-metric spaces. They wish to prove some new extensions of the Covitz and Nadler fixed-point theorem in b-metric spaces. In so doing, they wish to answer a question proposed by Kirk and Shahzad about Nadler's theorem holding in strong b-metric spaces. In addition, they offer an improvement to the fixed-point theorem proven by Dontchev and Hager.

Abstract:This paper explores fixed points for both contractive and non-contractive mappings in traditional b-metric spaces, preordered b-metric spaces, and random b-metric spaces. Our findings provide insights into the behavior of mappings under various constraints and extend our approach to include coincidence and common fixed-point theorems in these spaces. We present new examples and graphical representations for the first time, offering novel results and enhancing several related findings in the literature, while broadening the scope of earlier works of Ran and Reurings, Nieto and Rodríguez-López, Górnicki, and others.

This article presents generalizations of above results by omitting the assumption that all closed and bounded subsets are compact.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the novel concept of generalized distance denoted as Jθ and call it an extended b-generalized pseudo-distance. With the help of this generalized distance, we define a generalized point to set distance Jθ(u,H★), a generalized Hausdorff type distance and a PJθ-property of a pair (H★,K★) of nonempty subsets of extended b-metric space (U★,ρθ). Additionally, we establish several best proximity point theorems for multi-valued contraction mappings of Nadler type defined on b-metric spaces and extended b-metric spaces. Our findings generalize numerous existing results found in the literature. To substantiate the introduced notion and validate our main results, we provide some concrete examples.

Abstract:We consider a new type of mappings in metric spaces which can be characterized as mappings contracting perimeters of triangles. It is shown that such mappings are continuous. The fixed-point theorem for such mappings is proved and the classical Banach fixed-point theorem is obtained like a simple corollary. An example of a mapping contractive perimeters of triangles which is not a contraction mapping is constructed.

Abstract:In this article, we introduce two multivalued contractive mappings within the framework of Hausdorff controlled metric spaces, employing concepts of admissibility and C ‐class functions. The first mapping is a (β∗,ζ) ‐generalized contractive multivalued mapping, and the second is a (β,W(ζ,ξ)) ‐multivalued mapping. We establish conditions guaranteeing the existence of fixed points for these mappings. To support our theoretical findings, we provide a numerical example, demonstrating the independence of the contractive conditions for the mappings. Furthermore, we apply our results to a specific problem in polynomial equations. These findings complement several existing results in the literature.

Abstract:It is known that a strict contraction on a complete metric space with a graph possesses a fixed point. In the present paper, we show that this property holds for single valued and set-valued self-mappings of metric spaces with graphs that are of the contractive type. We also show the convergence of iterates of these mappings to fixed points. In particular, our results are true for metric spaces with symmetric graphs.
