Abstract:We study in detail the operad controlling several pre-Lie algebra structures sharing the same Lie bracket. Specifically, we show that this operad admits a combinatorial description similar to that of Chapoton and Livernet for the pre-Lie operad, and that it has many of the remarkable algebraic properties of the pre-Lie operad.

Abstract:Lie algebras are extended to the affine case using the heap operation, giving them a definition that is not dependent on the unique element 0, such that they still adhere to antisymmetry and Jacobi properties. It is then looked at how Nijenhuis brackets function on these Lie affgebras and demonstrated how they fulfil the compatibility condition in the affine case.

Abstract:Let ℱ be a nonempty formation of groups, Ƭ a subgroup functor, and H a p-subgroup of a finite group G. Suppose also that $ \overline{G}=G/{H}_G $ and $ \overline{H}=H/{H}_G $ . We say that H is ℱƬ -embedded (ℱƬΦ -embedded) in G if, for some quasinormal subgroup $ \overline{T} $ of $ \overline{G} $ and some Ƭ -subgroup $ \overline{S} $ of $ \overline{G} $ contained in $ \overline{H} $ , the subgroup $ \overline{H}\overline{T} $ is S-quasinormal in $ \overline{G} $ and $ \overline{H} $ ∩ $ \overline{T} $ ≤ $ \overline{S} $ Z F($ \overline{G} $) (resp., $ \overline{H} $ ∩ $ \overline{T} $ ≤ $ \overline{S} $ Z ℱΦ($ \overline{G} $)). Using the notions of ℱƬ -embedded and ℱƬ - Φ-embedded subgroups, we give some characterizations of the structure of finite groups. A number of earlier concepts and related results are further developed and unified.

Abstract:We construct a finite convergent semi-quadratic presentation for the Chinese monoid by adding column generators and using combinatorial properties of insertion algorithms on Chinese staircases. We extend this presentation into a coherent one whose generators are columns, rewriting rules are defined by insertion algorithms, and whose syzygies are defined as relations among insertion algorithms. Such a coherent presentation is used for representations of Chinese monoids, in particular, it is a way to describe actions of Chinese monoids on categories.

Primitive Feynman diagrams and the rational Goussarov--Habiro Lie algebra of string links

Abstract:Goussarov-Habiro's theory of clasper surgeries defines a filtration of the monoid of string links $L(m)$ on $m$ strands, in a way that geometrically realizes the Feynman diagrams appearing in low-dimensional and quantum topology. Concretely, $L(m)$ is filtered by $C_n$-equivalence, for $n\geq 1$, which is defined via local moves that can be seen as higher crossing changes. The graded object associated to the Goussarov-Habiro filtration is the Goussarov-Habiro Lie algebra of string links $\mathcal{L} L(m)$. We give a concrete presentation, in terms of primitive Feynman (tree) diagrams and relations ($\text{1T}$, $\text{AS}$, $\text{IHX}$, $\text{STU}^2$), of the rational Goussarov-Habiro Lie algebra $\mathcal{L} L(m)_{\mathbb{Q}}$. To that end, we investigate cycles in graphs of forests: flip graphs associated to forest diagrams and their $\text{STU}$ relations. As an application, we give an alternative diagrammatic proof of Massuyeau's rational version of the Goussarov-Habiro conjecture for string links, which relates indistinguishability under finite type invariants of degree $<n$ and $C_n$-equivalence.

Abstract:We construct natural representations of the Connes-Kreimer Lie algebras on rooted trees/Feynman graphs arising from Hecke correspondences in the categories $\LRF, \LFG$ constructed by K. Kremnizer and the author. We thus obtain the insertion/elimination representations constructed by Connes-Kreimer as well as an isomorphic pair we term top-insertion/top-elimination. We also construct graded finite-dimensional sub/quotient representations of these arising from "truncated" correspondences.

Abstract:We define a class of monoidal categories whose morphisms are diagrams, and which are enhancements and generalisations of the Brauer category obtained by adjoining infinitesimal braids, "coupons" and poles. Properties of these categories are explored, particularly diagrammatic equations. We construct functors from certain of them to categories of representations of Lie algebras and superalgebras. Applications include a diagrammatic construction of the centre of the universal enveloping superalgebra and certain "characteristic identities", as well as an analysis of certain tensor representations. We show how classical diagram categories arising in invariant theory are special cases of our constructions, placing them in a single unified framework.

Abstract:Left braces, introduced by Rump, have turned out to provide an important tool in the study of set theoretic solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation. In particular, they have allowed to construct several new families of solutions. A left brace $(B,+,\cdot )$ is a structure determined by two group structures on a set $B$: an abelian group $(B,+)$ and a group $(B,\cdot)$, satisfying certain compatibility conditions. The main result of this paper shows that every finite abelian group $A$ is a subgroup of the additive group of a finite simple left brace $B$ with metabelian multiplicative group with abelian Sylow subgroups. This result complements earlier unexpected results of the authors on an abundance of finite simple left braces.

Abstract:In this paper, we study partitions of positive integers into distinct quasifibonacci numbers. A digraph and poset structure is constructed on the set of such partitions. Furthermore, we discuss the symmetric and recursive relations between these posets. Finally, we prove a strong generalization of Robbins' result on the coefficients of a quasifibonacci power series.

Abstract:For a space X let be the set of compact subsets of X ordered by inclusion. A map is a relative Tukey quotient if it carries compact covers to compact covers. When there is such a Tukey quotient write , and write if and vice versa. We investigate the initial structure of pairs under the relative Tukey order, focussing on the case of separable metrizable spaces. Connections are made to Menger spaces. Applications are given demonstrating the diversity of free topological groups, and related free objects, over separable metrizable spaces. It is shown a topological group G has the countable chain condition if it is either -pseudocompact or for some separable metrizable M, we have .

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a $\{\lambda_{1\to n-1}\}$-bracket and a distribution notion of an $n$-Lie conformal algebra. For any $n$-Lie conformal algebra $R$, there exists a series of associated infinite-dimensional linearly compact $n$-Lie algebras $\{(\mathscr{L}ie_p\mbox{ }R)_\_\}_{(p\ge1)}$. We show that torsionless finite $n$-Lie conformal algebras $R$ and $S$ are isomorphic if and only if $(\mathscr{L}ie_p\mbox{ }R)_\_\simeq (\mathscr{L}ie_p\mbox{ }S)_\_$ as linearly compact $n$-Lie algebras with $\partial_{t_i}$-action for any $p\ge1$. Moreover, the representation and cohomology theory of $n$-Lie conformal algebras are established. In particular, the complex of $R$ is isomorphic to a subcomplex of $n$-Lie algebra $(\mathscr{L}ie_p\mbox{ }R)_\_$.

Abstract:We review the relationship between discrete groups of symmetries of Euclidean three-space, constructions in algebraic geometry around Kleinian singularities including versions of Hilbert and Quot schemes, and their relationship to finite-dimensional and affine Lie algebras via the McKay correspondence. We focus on combinatorial aspects, such as the enumeration of certain types of partition-like objects, reviewing in particular a recently developed root-of-unity-substitution calculus. While the most complete results are in type A, we also develop aspects of the theory in type D, and end with some questions about the exceptional type E cases.

Abstract:Let σ ={σ _i | i∈ I} be some partition of the set ℙ of all primes and G a finite group. A set ℋ of subgroups of G is said to be a complete Hall σ -set of G if every member 1 of ℋ is a Hall σ _i -subgroup of G for some i∈ I and ℋ contains exactly one Hall σ _i -subgroup of G for every i such that σ _i∩π (G)∅ . A subgroup A of G is said to be ℋ -permutable if A permutes with all members of the complete Hall σ -set ℋ of G . In this paper, we study the structure of G under the assuming that some subgroups of G are ℋ -permutable.

Abstract:We present connections between left non-degenerate solutions of the set-theoretic braid equation and left shelves using Drinfel'd homomorphisms. We generalize the notion of affine quandle, by using heap endomorphisms and metahomomorphisms, and identify the underlying Yang-Baxter algebra for solutions of the braid equation associated to a given quandle. We introduce the notion of the pre-Lie skew brace and identify certain affine quandles that give rise to pre-Lie skew braces. Generalisations of the braiding of a group, associated to set-theoretic solutions of the braid equation are also presented. These generalized structures encode part of the underlying Hopf algebra. We then introduce the quasi-triangular (quasi) Hopf algebras and universal R-matrices for rack and set-theoretic algebras. Generic set-theoretic solutions coming from heap endomorphisms are also identified.

Insertion pre-Lie products and translation of rough paths based on multi-indices

Abstract:We use the diagram-free approach to regularity structures introduced by Otto et. al. to build rough paths based on multi-indices. We identify the analogue of the insertion pre-Lie algebra of trees and use it to build the corresponding group of translations of rough paths. We make this identification precise by showing that the natural dictionary between trees and multi-indices is a pre-Lie morphism under insertion, which in turn yields a Hopf algebra morphism to the rooted tree Hopf algebra equipped with the extraction-contraction coproduct.

Abstract:For any pair of orientable closed hyperbolic $3$--manifolds, this paper shows that any isomorphism between the profinite completions of their fundamental groups witnesses a bijective correspondence between the Zariski dense $\mathrm{PSL}(2,\mathbb{Q}^{\mathtt{ac}})$--representations of their fundamental groups, up to conjugacy; moreover, corresponding pairs of representations have identical invariant trace fields and isomorphic invariant quaternion algebras. (Here, $\mathbb{Q}^{\mathtt{ac}}$ denotes an algebraic closure of $\mathbb{Q}$.) Next, assuming the $p$--adic Borel regulator injectivity conjecture for number fields, this paper shows that uniform lattices in $\mathrm{PSL}(2,\mathbb{C})$ with isomorphic profinite completions have identical invariant trace fields, isomorphic invariant quaternion algebras, identical covolume, and identical arithmeticity.

Abstract:We provide a framework for relating certain q-series defined by sums over partitions to multiple zeta values. In particular, we introduce a space of polynomial functions on partitions for which the associated q-series are q-analogues of multiple zeta values. By explicitly describing the (regularized) multiple zeta values one obtains as $q\to 1$, we extend previous results known in this area. Using this together with the fact that other families of functions on partitions, such as shifted symmetric functions, are elements in our space will then give relations among (q-analogues of) multiple zeta values. Conversely, we will show that relations among multiple zeta values can be `lifted' to the world of functions on partitions, which provides new examples of functions where the associated q-series are quasimodular.
