Abstract:A series invariant for a certain class of closed 3-manifolds associated with a type I Lie superalgebra sl(m|n) was introduced recently. We find a q-series for the other Lie superalgebra of the same type of the minimum rank.

Abstract:Suppose that $q$ is a prime power such that $q\equiv~2\pmod{3}$. By using Kantor's model of $Q^+(7,q)$, we study the orbit structure of the action of $\textup{PSU}_3(q)$ on the polar space $Q^+(7,q)$ and obtain new $(q^2+q)$- and $q^3$-ovoids with an automorphism group $\textup{PSU}_3(q)$. In this way, we determine all $\textup{PSU}_3(q)$-invariant intriguing sets of $Q^+(7,q)$. It turns out that such an intriguing set is either the unitary ovoid, one of the two new $m$-ovoids, or their complements.

Abstract:Three-manifold invariants $\hat Z$ (''$Z$-hat''), also known as homological blocks, are $q$-series with integer coefficients. Explicit $q$-series form for $\hat Z$ is known for $SU(2)$ group, supergroup $SU(2|1)$ and ortho-symplectic supergroup $OSp(2|2)$. We focus on $\hat Z$ for $SO(3)$ group and orthosymplectic supergroup $OSp(1|2)$ in this paper. Particularly, the change of variable relating $SU(2)$ link invariants to the $SO(3)$ & $OSp(1|2)$ link invariants plays a crucial role in explicitly writing the $q$-series.

Abstract:Lickorish's method for constructing topological invariants of 3 - manifolds is generalized to the quantum supergroup setting. An invariant is obtained by applying this method to the Kauffman polynomial arising from the vector representation of Uq(osp(1|2)). A transparent proof is also given showing that this invariant is equivalent to the Uq(osp(1|2)) invariant obtained in an earlier publication.

Abstract:In this paper, the module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) = H(e(i), f(i), k(i)(+/- 1))(1 <= i <= m)., on the coordinate algebra of quantum vector spaces are studied. We denote the coordinate algebra of quantum n-dimensional vector space by A(q)(n). As our main result, first, we give a complete classification of module-algebra structures of U-p(sl(m + 1)) on A(q)(3) when k(i) is an element of Aut L(A(q)(3)) as actions on A(q)(3) for i = 1,...,m and m >= 2 and with the same method, on A(q)(2), all module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) are characterized. Lastly, the module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) on A(q)(n) are obtained for any n >= 4.
$(t,q)$-Series Invariants of Seifert Manifolds

Abstract:Gukov, Pei, Putrov, and Vafa developed a $q$-series invariant of negative definite plumbed $3$-manifolds with spin$^{c}$ structures, building on earlier work of Lawrence and Zagier. This was recently generalized to an an infinite family of two-variable $(t,q)$-series invariants by Akhmechet, Johnson, and Krushkal (AJK). We calculate one such series for all Seifert manifolds with $b_{1}=0.$ These results extend a previous theorem of Liles and McSpirit to any number of exceptional fibers and the Reduction Theorem of Gukov, Svoboda, and Katzarkov to the two-variable case. As a consequence, a previous result of Liles and McSpirit on modularity properties and radial limits is enhanced to a larger family of manifolds. We also calculate the infinite collection of $(t,q)$-series invariants for three infinite families of manifolds, finding mixed modularity properties for one such family.

Abstract:The minimal irreducible representations of $U_q[gl(m|n)]$, i.e. those irreducible representations that are also irreducible under $U_q[osp(m|n)]$ are investigated and shown to be affinizable to give irreducible representations of the twisted quantum affine superalgebra $U_q[gl(m|n)^{(2)}]$. The $U_q[osp(m|n)]$ invariant R-matrices corresponding to the tensor product of any two minimal representations are constructed, thus extending our twisted tensor product graph method to the supersymmetric case. These give new solutions to the spectral-dependent graded Yang-Baxter equation arising from $U_q[gl(m|n)^{(2)}]$, which exhibit novel features not previously seen in the untwisted or non-super cases.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the structure of the quantum affine superalgebra associated with the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(2m+1|2n)$ for $m\geqslant 1$. The Drinfeld-Jimbo presentation for this algebra, denoted as $U_q[\mathfrak{osp}(2m+1|2n)^{(1)}]$, was originally introduced by H. Yamane. We provide the definition of the Drinfeld presentation $\mathcal{U}_q[\mathfrak{osp}(2m+1|2n)^{(1)}]$. To establish the isomorphism between the Drinfeld-Jimbo presentation and the Drinfeld presentation of the quantum affine superalgebra for type $\mathfrak{osp}(2m+1|2n)$, we introduce a braid group action to define quantum root vectors of quantum superalgebras. Specifically, we present an efficient method for verifying the isomorphism between two presentations of the quantum affine superalgebra associated with the type $\mathfrak{osp}(2m+1|2n)$.

Abstract:We create Resthetikhin-Turaev topological invariants of closed orientable three-manifolds from the quantum supergroup U_q(osp(1|2n)) at certain even roots of unity. To construct the invariants we develop tensor product theorems for finite dimensional modules of U_q(osp(1|2n)) at roots of unity.

Abstract:We provide an explicit connection between the quantum group Uq(sl(3)) in the limit q → −1 and a Z2×Z2-graded Lie colour algebra. This is realised through an algebra embedding assisted by a Klein operator. This provides a proof of concept of an explicit method that could lead to constructing more general Z2×Z2-graded Lie colour algebras, and their representations.

Abstract:A Schroedinger type equation on the superspace R^{D|2n} is studied, which involves a potential inversely proportional to the negative of the osp(D|2n) invariant "distance" away from the origin. An osp(2,D+1|2n) dynamical supersymmetry for the system is explicitly constructed, and the bound states of the system are shown to form an irreducible highest weight module for this superalgebra. A thorough understanding of the structure of the irreducible module is obtained. This in particular enables the determination of the energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenspaces as well as their respective dimensions.

Non-semisimple topological field theory and $\widehat{Z}$-invariants from $\mathfrak{osp}(1 \vert 2)$

Abstract:We construct three dimensional non-semisimple topological field theories from the unrolled quantum group of the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(1 \vert 2)$. More precisely, the quantum group depends on a root of unity $q=e^{\frac{2 \pi \sqrt{-1}}{r}}$, where $r$ is a positive integer greater than $2$, and the construction applies when $r$ is not congruent to $4$ modulo $8$. The algebraic result which underlies the construction is the existence of a relative modular structure on the non-finite, non-semisimple category of weight modules for the quantum group. We prove a Verlinde formula which allows for the computation of dimensions and Euler characteristics of topological field theory state spaces of unmarked surfaces. When $r$ is congruent to $\pm 1$ or $\pm 2$ modulo $8$, we relate the resulting $3$-manifold invariants with physicists' $\widehat{Z}$-invariants associated to $\mathfrak{osp}(1 \vert 2)$. Finally, we establish a relation between $\widehat{Z}$-invariants associated to $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$ and $\mathfrak{osp}(1 \vert 2)$ which was conjectured in the physics literature.

Abstract:By studying the properties of q -series -invariants, we develop a dictionary between 3-manifolds and vertex algebras. In particular, we generalize previously known entries in this dictionary to Lie groups of higher rank, to 3-manifolds with toral boundaries, and to BPS partition functions with line operators. This provides a new physical realization of logarithmic vertex algebras in the framework of the 3d-3d correspondence and opens new avenues for their future study. For example, we illustrate how invoking a knot-quiver correspondence for -invariants leads to many infinite families of new fermionic formulae for VOA characters.

Noncommutative Complex Structures for the Full Quantum Flag Manifold of Quantum SU(3)

Abstract:In recent work, Lusztig's positive root vectors (with respect to a distinguished choice of reduced decomposition of the longest element of the Weyl group) were shown to give a quantum tangent space for every $A$-series Drinfeld--Jimbo full quantum flag manifold $\mathcal{O}_q(\mathrm{F}_n)$. Moreover, the associated differential calculus $\Omega^{(0,\bullet)}_q(\mathrm{F}_n)$ was shown to have classical dimension, giving a direct $q$-deformation of the classical anti-holomorphic Dolbeault complex of $\mathrm{F}_n$. Here we examine in detail the rank two case, namely the full quantum flag manifold of $\mathcal{O}_q(\mathrm{SU}_3)$. In particular, we examine the $*$-differential calculus associated to $\Omega^{(0,\bullet)}_q(\mathrm{F}_3)$ and its non-commutative complex geometry. We find that the number of almost-complex structures reduces from $8$ (that is $2$ to the power of the number of positive roots of $\frak{sl}_3$) to $4$ (that is $2$ to the power of the number of simple roots of $\frak{sl}_3$). Moreover, we show that each of these almost-complex structures is integrable, which is to say, each of them is a complex structure. Finally, we observe that, due to non-centrality of all the non-degenerate coinvariant $2$-forms, none of these complex structures admits a left $\mathcal{O}_q(\mathrm{SU}_3)$-covariant noncommutative Kähler structure.

Abstract:Some time ago, Rideau and Winternitz introduced a realization of the quantum algebra su_q(2) on a real two-dimensional sphere, or a real plane, and constructed a basis for its representations in terms of q-special functions, which can be expressed in terms of q-Vilenkin functions. In their study, the values of q were implicitly restricted to q in R^+. In the present paper, we extend their work to the case of generic values of q in S^1 (i.e., q values different from a root of unity). In addition, we unitarize the representations for both types of q values, q in R^+ and generic q in S^1, by determining some appropriate scalar products.

Abstract:We describe the twisted affine superalgebra $sl(2|2)^{(2)}$ and its quantized version $U_q[sl(2|2)^{(2)}]$. We investigate the tensor product representation of the 4-dimensional grade star representation for the fixed point subsuperalgebra $U_q[osp(2|2)]$. We work out the tensor product decomposition explicitly and find the decomposition is not completely reducible. Associated with this 4-dimensional grade star representation we derive two $U_q[osp(2|2)]$ invariant R-matrices: one of them corresponds to $U_q[sl(2|2)^{(2)}]$ and the other to $U_q[osp(2|2)^{(1)}]$. Using the R-matrix for $U_q[sl(2|2)^{(2)}]$, we construct a new $U_q[osp(2|2)]$ invariant strongly correlated electronic model, which is integrable in one dimension. Interestingly, this model reduces, in the $q=1$ limit, to the one proposed by Essler et al which has a larger, $sl(2|2)$, symmetry.

R-matrix presentation of quantum affine superalgebra for type $\mathfrak{osp}(2m+1|2n)$

Abstract:In the current paper, we extend our prior research [X. Wu, H. Lin and H. Zhang, Braid group action and quantum affine superalgebra for type $\mathfrak{osp}(2m+1|2n)$. Preprint, (2024)], which introduced the Drinfeld presentation of the quantum affine superalgebra associated with the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}$ $(2m+1|2n)$ for $m>0$. Based on this work, our present investigation focuses on its R-matrix presentation. Moreover, we establish an explicit isomorphism between the R-matrix presentation and the Drinfeld presentation. In particular, our contribution extends the investigations of Jing, Liu, and Molev concerning quantum affine algebra in type BCD to the domain of supersymmetry [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1903.00204" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1903.00204">arXiv:1903.00204</a>; <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1911.03496" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1911.03496">arXiv:1911.03496</a>].

On the geometry of quantum spheres and hyperboloids

Abstract:We study two classes of quantum spheres and hyperboloids which are $*$-quantum spaces for the quantum orthogonal group $\mathcal{O}(SO_q(3))$. We construct line bundles over the quantum homogeneous space of invariant elements for the quantum subgroup $SO(2)$ of $SO_q(3)$. These are associated to the quantum principal bundle via corepresentations of $SO(2)$ and are given by finitely-generated projective modules $\mathcal{E}_n$ of rank $1$ and even degree $-2n$. The corresponding idempotents, representing classes in K-theory, are explicitly worked out. For $q$ real, we diagonalise the Casimir operator of the Hopf algebra ${\mathcal{U}_{q^{1/2}}(sl_2)}$ dual to $\mathcal{O}(SO_q(3))$.

Topological invariance of quantum homogeneous spaces of type $B$ and $D$

Abstract:In this article, we study two families of quantum homogeneous spaces, namely, $SO_q(2n+1)/SO_q(2n-1)$, and $SO_q(2n)/SO_q(2n-2)$. By applying a two-step Zhelobenko branching rule, we show that the $C^*$-algebras $C(SO_q(2n+1)/SO_q(2n-1))$, and $C(SO_q(2n)/SO_q(2n-2))$ are generated by the entries of the first and the last rows of the fundamental matrix of the quantum groups $SO_q(2n+1)$, and $SO_q(2n)$, respectively. We then construct a chain of short exact sequences, and using that, we compute $K$-groups of these spaces with explicit generators. Invoking homogeneous $C^*$-extension theory, we show $q$-independence of some intermediate $C^*$-algebras arising as the middle $C^*$-algebra of these short exact sequences. As a consequence, we get the $q$-invariance of $SO_q(5)/SO_q(3)$ and $SO_q(6)/SO_q(4)$.

Abstract:For $n\in\mathbb{N}$ and $q\in [0,1[$, the Vaksman-Soibelman quantum sphere $S^{2n+1}_q$ is described by an associative algebra $\mathcal{A}(S^{2n+1}_q)$ deforming the algebra of polynomial functions on the 2n+1 dimensional unit sphere. Its C*-enveloping algebra is known to be independent of the deformation parameter q. In contrast to what happens in the C*-algebraic setting, we show here that, for all $q,q'$ in the above range, $\mathcal{A}(S^{2n+1}_q)$ is isomorphic to $\mathcal{A}(S^{2n+1}_{q'})$ only if $q=q'$.
