Abstract:The minimal irreducible representations of $U_q[gl(m|n)]$, i.e. those irreducible representations that are also irreducible under $U_q[osp(m|n)]$ are investigated and shown to be affinizable to give irreducible representations of the twisted quantum affine superalgebra $U_q[gl(m|n)^{(2)}]$. The $U_q[osp(m|n)]$ invariant R-matrices corresponding to the tensor product of any two minimal representations are constructed, thus extending our twisted tensor product graph method to the supersymmetric case. These give new solutions to the spectral-dependent graded Yang-Baxter equation arising from $U_q[gl(m|n)^{(2)}]$, which exhibit novel features not previously seen in the untwisted or non-super cases.

Abstract:Extending the method proposed in [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1109.5524" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1109.5524">arXiv:1109.5524</a>], we derive QQ-relations (functional relations among Baxter Q-functions) and T-functions (eigenvalues of transfer matrices) for fusion vertex models associated with the twisted quantum affine superalgebras $U_{q}(gl(2r+1|2s)^{(2)})$, $U_{q}(gl(2r|2s+1)^{(2)})$, $U_{q}(gl(2r|2s)^{(2)})$, $U_{q}(osp(2r|2s)^{(2)})$ and the untwisted quantum affine orthosymplectic superalgebras $U_{q}(osp(2r+1|2s)^{(1)})$ and $U_{q}(osp(2r|2s)^{(1)})$ (and their Yangian counterparts, $Y(osp(2r+1|2s))$ and $Y(osp(2r|2s))$) as reductions (a kind of folding) of those associated with $U_{q}(gl(M|N)^{(1)})$. In particular, we reproduce previously proposed generating functions (difference operators) of the T-functions for the symmetric or anti-symmetric representations, and tableau sum expressions for more general representations for orthosymplectic superalgebras [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="0911.5393" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/0911.5393">arXiv:0911.5393</a>,<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="0911.5390" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/0911.5390">arXiv:0911.5390</a>], and obtain Wronskian-type expressions (analogues of Weyl-type character formulas) for them. Twisted quantum affinizations and quantization of extended affine Lie algebras

Abstract:In this paper, for an arbitrary Kac-Moody Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ and a diagram automorphism $\mu$ of $\mathfrak g$ satisfying certain natural linking conditions, we introduce and study a $\mu$-twisted quantum affinization algebra $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_\mu\right)$ of $\mathfrak g$. When $\mathfrak g$ is of finite type, $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_\mu\right)$ is Drinfeld's current algebra realization of the twisted quantum affine algebra. When $\mu=\mathrm{id}$ and $\mathfrak g$ in affine type, $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_\mu\right)$ is the quantum toroidal algebra introduced by Ginzburg, Kapranov and Vasserot. As the main results of this paper, we first prove a triangular decomposition for $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_\mu\right)$. Second, we give a simple characterization of the affine quantum Serre relations on restricted $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_\mu\right)$-modules in terms of "normal order products". Third, we prove that the category of restricted $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_\mu\right)$-modules is a monoidal category and hence obtain a topological Hopf algebra structure on the "restricted completion" of $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_\mu\right)$. Last, we study the classical limit of $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_\mu\right)$ and abridge it to the quantization theory of extended affine Lie algebras. In particular, based on a classification result of Allison-Berman-Pianzola, we obtain the $\hbar$-deformation of all nullity $2$ extended affine Lie algebras.

Abstract:An orthogonal basis of the Hilbert space for the quantum spin chain associated with the su(3) algebra is introduced. Such kind of basis could be treated as a nested generalization of separation of variables (SoV) basis for high-rank quantum integrable models. It is found that all the monodromy-matrix elements acting on a basis vector take simple forms. With the help of the basis, we construct eigenstates of the su(3) inhomogeneous spin torus (the trigonometric su(3) spin chain with antiperiodic boundary condition) from its spectrum obtained via the off-diagonal Bethe Ansatz (ODBA). Based on small sites (i.e. N=2) check, it is conjectured that the homogeneous limit of the eigenstates exists, which gives rise to the corresponding eigenstates of the homogenous model.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to the construction of new integrable quantum mechanical models based on certain subalgebras of the half loop algebra of gl(N). Various results about these subalgebras are proven by presenting them in the notation of the St Petersburg school. These results are then used to demonstrate the integrability, and find the symmetries, of two types of physical system: twisted Gaudin magnets, and Calogero-type models of particles on several half-lines meeting at a point.

Abstract:We obtain a complete characterization of the space of matrix elements dual to the graded multiplicity space arising from fusion products of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules over special twisted current algebras defined by Kus and Venkatesh, which generalizes the result of Ardonne and Kedem to the special twisted current algebras. We also prove the conjectural identity of $q$-graded fermionic sums by Hatayama \emph{et al.} for the special twisted current algebras, from which we deduce that the graded tensor product multiplicities of the fusion products of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules over special twisted current algebras are both given by the $q$-graded fermionic sums, and constant term evaluations of products of solutions of the quantum twisted $Q$-systems obtained by Di Francesco and Kedem.

Abstract:We introduce a category of q -oscillator representations over the quantum affine superalgebras of type D and construct a new family of its irreducible representations. Motivated by the theory of super duality, we show that these irreducible representations naturally interpolate the irreducible q -oscillator representations of type and the finite-dimensional irreducible representations of type for under exact monoidal functors. This can be viewed as a quantum (untwisted) affine analogue of the correspondence between irreducible oscillator and irreducible finite-dimensional representations of classical Lie algebras arising from Howe's reductive dual pairs , where and .

Abstract:We discuss various questions that emerge in connection with the Lie-algebraic deformation of the CP1 sigma model in two dimensions. First, we supersymmetrize the original model endowing it with the minimal N=(0,2) and extended N=(2,2) supersymmetries. Then we derive the general hypercurrent anomaly in both cases. In the latter case this anomaly is one-loop but is somewhat different from the standard expressions one can find in the literature because the target manifold is nonsymmetric. We also show how to introduce the twisted masses and the θ term, and study the Bogomol'nyi–Prasad–Sommerfield equation for instantons, in particular the value of the topological charge. Then we demonstrate that the second loop in the β function of the nonsupersymmetric Lie-algebraic sigma model is due to an infrared effect. To this end we use a supersymmetric regularization. We also conjecture that the above statement is valid for higher loops too, similar to the parallel phenomenon in four-dimensional N=1 super-Yang-Mills. Abstract:We propose a novel quantum integrable model for every non-simply laced simple Lie algebra $${{\mathfrak {g}}}$$ , which we call the folded integrable model. Its spectra correspond to solutions of the Bethe Ansatz equations obtained by folding the Bethe Ansatz equations of the standard integrable model associated with the quantum affine algebra $$U_q(\widehat{{{\mathfrak {g}}}'})$$ of the simply laced Lie algebra $${{\mathfrak {g}}}'$$ corresponding to $${{\mathfrak {g}}}$$ . Our construction is motivated by the analysis of the second classical limit of the deformed W-algebra of $${{\mathfrak {g}}}$$ , which we interpret as a “folding” of the Grothendieck ring of finite-dimensional representations of $$U_q(\widehat{{{\mathfrak {g}}}'})$$ . We conjecture, and verify in a number of cases, that the spaces of states of the folded integrable model can be identified with finite-dimensional representations of $$U_q({}^L{\widehat{{{\mathfrak {g}}}}})$$ , where $$^L{\widehat{{{\mathfrak {g}}}}}$$ is the (twisted) affine Kac–Moody algebra Langlands dual to $${\widehat{{{\mathfrak {g}}}}}$$ . We discuss the analogous structures in the Gaudin model which appears in the limit $$q \rightarrow 1$$ . Finally, we describe a conjectural construction of the simple $${{\mathfrak {g}}}$$ -crystals in terms of the folded q-characters.

Abstract:The graded off-diagonal Bethe ansatz method is proposed to study supersymmetric quantum integrable models (i.e., quantum integrable models associated with superalgebras). As an example, the exact solutions of the <math>SU(2|2)</math> vertex model with both periodic and generic open boundary conditions are constructed. By generalizing the fusion techniques to the supersymmetric case, a closed set of operator product identities about the transfer matrices are derived, which allows us to give the eigenvalues in terms of homogeneous or inhomogeneous <math>T−Q</math> relations. The method and results provided in this paper can be generalized to other high rank supersymmetric quantum integrable models.

On some algebraic and geometric aspects of the quantum unitary group

Abstract:Consider the compact quantum group $U_q(2)$, where $q$ is a non-zero complex deformation parameter such that $|q|\neq 1$. Let $C(U_q(2))$ denote the underlying $C^*$-algebra of the compact quantum group $U_q(2)$. We prove that if $q$ is a non-real complex number and $q^\prime$ is real, then the underlying $C^*$-algebras $C(U_q(2))$ and $C(U_{q^\prime}(2))$ are non-isomorphic. This is in sharp contrast with the case of braided $SU_q(2)$, introduced earlier by Woronowicz et al., where $q$ is a non-zero complex deformation parameter. In another direction, on a geometric aspect of $U_q(2)$, we introduce torus action on the $C^*$-algebra $C(U_q(2))$ and obtain a $C^*$-dynamical system $(C(U_q(2)),\mathbb{T}^3,\alpha)$. We construct a $\mathbb{T}^3$-equivariant spectral triple for $U_q(2)$ that is even and $3^+$-summable. It is shown that the Dirac operator is K-homologically nontrivial.

Abstract:Based on the finite-size analysis of the spectrum of the quantum group invariant deformation of the $OSp(3|2)$ superspin chain we identify the operator content of the conformal field theory describing the model in its scaling limit. We find that the macroscopic degeneracy of the conformal weights observed in the thermodynamic limit of the isotropic superspin chain is lifted by the deformation.

Abstract:We derive new holonomic q-difference equations for the matrix coefficients of the products of intertwining operators for quantum affine algebra U(q)(g) representations of level k. We study the connection operators between the solutions with different asymptotics and show that they are given by products of elliptic theta functions. We prove that the connection operators automatically provide elliptic solutions of Yang-Baxter equations in the "face" formulation for any type of Lie algebra g and arbitrary finite-dimensional representations of U(q)(g). We conjecture that these solutions of the Yang-Baxter equations cover all elliptic solutions known in the contexts of IRF models of statistical mechanics. We also conjecture that in a special limit when q --> 1 these solutions degenerate again into U(q')(g) solutions with q' = exp[GRAPHICS]We also study the simplest examples of solutions of our holonomic difference equations associated to U(q)(sl(2)) and find their expressions in terms of basic (or q-)-hypergeometric series. In the special case of spin -1/2 representations, we demonstrate that the connection matrix yields a famous Baxter solution of the Yang-Baxter equation corresponding to the solid-on-solid model of statistical mechanics.
Symmetry Algebras of Quantum Matrix Models in the Large-N Limit

Abstract:Quantum matrix models in the large-N limit arise in many physical systems like Yang-Mills theory with or without supersymmetry, quantum gravity, string-bit models, various low energy effective models of string theory, M(atrix) theory, quantum spin chain models, and strongly correlated electron systems like the Hubbard model. We introduce, in a unifying fashion, a hierachy of infinite-dimensional Lie superalgebras of quantum matrix models. One of these superalgebras pertains to the open string sector and another one the closed string sector. Physical observables of quantum matrix models like the Hamiltonian can be expressed as elements of these Lie superalgebras. This indicates the Lie superalgebras describe the symmetry of quantum matrix models. We present the structure of these Lie superalgebras like their Cartan subalgebras, root vectors, ideals and subalgebras. They are generalizations of well-known algebras like the Cuntz algebra, the Virasoro algebra, the Toeplitz algebra, the Witt algebra and the Onsager algebra. Just like we learnt a lot about critical phenomena and string theory through their conformal symmetry described by the Virasoro algebra, we may learn a lot about quantum chromodynamics, quantum gravity and condensed matter physics through this symmetry of quantum matrix models described by these Lie superalgebras.

A Formal Equivalence of Deformation Quantization and Geometric Quantization (of Higher Groupoids) and Non-Perturbative Sigma Models

Abstract:Based on work done by Bonechi, Cattaneo, Felder and Zabzine on Poisson sigma models, we formally show that Kontsevich's star product can be obtained from the twisted convolution algebra of the geometric quantization of a Lie 2-groupoid, one which integrates the Poisson structure. We show that there is an analogue of the Poisson sigma model which is valued in Lie 1-groupoids and which can often be defined non-perturbatively; it can be obtained by symplectic reduction using the quantization of the Lie 2-groupoid. We call these groupoid-valued sigma models and we argue that, when they exist, they can be used to compute correlation functions of gauge invariant observables. This leads to a (possibly non-associative) product on the underlying space of functions on the Poisson manifold, and in several examples we show that we recover strict deformation quantizations, in the sense of Rieffel. Even in the cases when our construction leads to a non-associative product we still obtain a $C^*$-algebra and a "quantization" map. In particular, we construct noncommutative $C^*$-algebras equipped with an $SU(2)$-action, together with an equivariant "quantization" map from $C^{\infty}(S^2)\,.$ No polarizations are used in the construction of these algebras.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of quantum-symmetric equivalence of two connected graded algebras, based on Morita-Takeuchi equivalences of their universal quantum groups, in the sense of Manin. We study homological and algebraic invariants of quantum-symmetric equivalence classes, and prove that numerical $\mathrm{Tor}$-regularity, Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity, Artin-Schelter regularity, and the Frobenius property are invariant under any Morita-Takeuchi equivalence. In particular, by combining our results with the work of Raedschelders and Van den Bergh, we prove that Koszul Artin-Schelter regular algebras of a fixed global dimension form a single quantum-symmetric equivalence class. Moreover, we characterize 2-cocycle twists (which arise as a special case of quantum-symmetric equivalence) of Koszul duals, of superpotentials, of superpotential algebras, of Nakayama automorphisms of twisted Frobenius algebras, and of Artin-Schelter regular algebras. We also show that finite generation of Hochschild cohomology rings is preserved under certain 2-cocycle twists.

Quantum Algebra of Chern-Simons Matrix Model and Large $N$ Limit

Abstract:In this paper we study the algebra of quantum observables of the Chern-Simons matrix model which was originally proposed by Susskind and Polychronakos to describe electrons in fractional quantum Hall effects. We establish the commutation relations for its generators and study the large $N$ limit of its representation. We show that the large $N$ limit algebra is isomorphic to the uniform in $N$ algebra studied by Costello, which is isomorphic to the deformed double current algebra studied by Guay. Under appropriate scaling limit, we show that the large $N$ limit algebra degenerates to a Lie algebra which admits a surjective map to the affine Lie algebra of $\mathfrak{u}(p)$. This leads to a complete proof of the large $N$ emergence of the $\mathfrak{u}(p)$ current algebra as proposed by Dorey, Tong and Turner. This also suggests a rigorous derivation of edge excitation of a fractional quantum Hall droplet.
