Abstract:We develop a unified approach to proving $L^p-L^q$ boundedness of spectral projectors, the resolvent of the Laplace-Beltrami operator and its derivative on $\mathbb{H}^d.$ In the case of spectral projectors, and when $p$ and $q$ are in duality, the dependence of the implicit constant on $p$ is shown to be sharp. We also give partial results on the question of $L^p-L^q$ boundedness of the Fourier extension operator. As an application, we prove smoothing estimates for the free Schrödinger equation on $\mathbb{H}^d$ and a limiting absorption principle for the electromagnetic Schrödinger equation with small potentials.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problems that this paper attempts to solve mainly focus on the following aspects: 1. **\(L^p - L^q\) boundedness of spectral projection operators, analytic continuation and their derivatives on hyperbolic spaces**: - The authors developed a unified method to prove the \(L^p - L^q\) boundedness of spectral projection operators, analytic continuation of the Laplace - Beltrami operator and their derivatives on the hyperbolic space \(H_d\). - In particular, when \(p\) and \(q\) are in a dual relationship, the dependence of the implicit constant on \(p\) is shown to be optimal. 2. **\(L^p - L^q\) boundedness of Fourier extension operators**: - The authors also partially solved the problem of \(L^p - L^q\) boundedness of Fourier extension operators. 3. **Applications**: - As applications, the authors proved the smoothing estimate of the free Schrödinger equation on the hyperbolic space \(H_d\), and the limiting absorption principle of the electromagnetic Schrödinger equation with a small potential. ### Specific problems and methods 1. **Boundedness of spectral projection operators**: - By decomposing the kernel function of the spectral projection operator and using real and complex interpolation techniques, the authors obtained the boundedness estimate of the spectral projection operator on \(L^{p'} \to L^p\). - They also proved the optimality of these estimates by constructing radial and Knapp examples. 2. **Boundedness of analytic continuation and their derivatives**: - By expressing the analytic continuation as a combination of spectral projection operators, the authors reduced their problem to proving the estimates of the restriction operator. - They used a proof method similar to the classical Stein - Tomas theorem, but transferred the localization from the physical space to the frequency space, so that they could directly derive the estimates of the derivatives of the analytic continuation. 3. **Boundedness of Fourier extension operators**: - By studying the influence of isometric transformations of hyperbolic spaces on the Fourier transform and adapting Knapp and radial examples to the hyperbolic setting, the authors obtained the lower bound estimates of the Fourier extension operator. - These results imply a conjecture that in the case of \(p\geq2\) and \(q > 2\), the \(L^p \to L^q\) norm of the Fourier extension operator satisfies a specific estimate. ### Main results - **Boundedness of spectral projection operators**: \[ \|P_\Lambda\|_{L^{p'} \to L^p} \lesssim \begin{cases} \Lambda^{d - 1-\frac{2d}{p}} & \text{if } p\geq p_{ST}=\frac{2(d + 1)}{d - 1},\\ \left[(p - 2)^{-1}+1\right]\Lambda^{(d - 1)\left(\frac{1}{2}-\frac{1}{p}\right)} & \text{if } 2 < p\leq p_{ST}. \end{cases} \] - **Boundedness of analytic continuation**: \[ \|(D^2 - z)^{-1}\|_{L^{p'} \to L^p} \lesssim \begin{cases} \tau^{\frac{d}{2}\left(1-\frac{2}{p}\right)-1} & \text{if } p_{ST}<p\leq\frac{2d}{d - 2},\\ \tau^{\frac{d - 1}{2}\left(\frac{1}{2}-\frac{1}{p}\right)-\frac{1}{2}} & \text{if } 2 < p\leq p_{ST}=\frac{2(d + 1)}{d - 1}. \end{cases} \] - **Lower bound estimates of Fourier extension operators**: \[
