Abstract:In this paper, we give explicit evaluation for some integrals involving polylogarithm functions of types $\int_{0}^{x}t^{m} Li_{p}(t)\mathrm{d}t$ and $\int_{0}^{x}\log^{m}(t) Li_{p}(t)\mathrm{d}t$. Some more integrals involving the logarithm function will also be derived.

Abstract:Motivated essentially by their potential for applications in a wide range of mathematical and physical problems, the Log-Sine integrals have been evaluated, in the existing literature on the subject, in many different ways. The main object of this paper is to show how nicely some general formulas analogous to the generalized Log-Sine integral $Ls_n^{(m)}\left(\frac{\pi}{3}\right)$ can be obtained by using the theory of Polylogarithms. Relevant connections of the results presented here with those obtained in earlier works are also indicated precisely.

Abstract:We present explicit expressions for multi-fold logarithmic integrals that are equivalent to sums over polygamma functions at integer argument. Such relations find application in perturbative quantum field theory, quantum chemistry, analytic number theory, and elsewhere. Abstract:Abstract By using the method of iterated integral representations of series, we establish some explicit relationships between multiple zeta values and integrals of logarithmic functions. As applications of these relations, we show that multiple zeta values of the form $$\begin{array}{} \zeta ( {\bar 1,{{\left\{ 1 \right\}}_{m - 1}},\bar 1,{{\left\{ 1 \right\}}_{k - 1}}} ),\qquad (k,m\in \mathbb{N}) \end{array} $$ for m = 1 or k = 1, and $$\begin{array}{} \zeta ( {\bar 1,{{\left\{ 1 \right\}}_{m - 1}},p,{{\left\{ 1 \right\}}_{k - 1}}}),\qquad (k,m\in\mathbb{N}) \end{array} $$ for p = 1 and 2, satisfy certain recurrence relations which allow us to write them in terms of zeta values, polylogarithms and ln 2. Furthermore, we also obtain reductions for certain multiple polylogarithmic values at $\begin{array}{} \frac {1}{2} \end{array} $ .

Abstract:The indefinite integral $$ \int x^\alpha e^{\eta x^\beta}\,_pF_q (a_1, a_2, \cdot\cdot\cdot a_p; b_1, b_2, \cdot\cdot\cdot, b_q; \lambda x^{\gamma})dx, $$ where $\alpha, \eta, \beta, \lambda, \gamma\ne0$ are real or complex constants and $_pF_q$ is the generalized hypergeometric function, is evaluated in terms of an infinite series involving the generalized hypergeometric function. Related integrals in which the exponential function $e^{\eta x^\beta}$ is either replaced by the hyperbolic function $\cosh\left(\eta x^\beta\right)$ or $\sinh\left(\eta x^\beta\right)$, or the sinusoidal function $\cos\left(\eta x^\beta\right)$ or $\sin\left(\eta x^\beta\right)$, are also evaluated in terms of infinite series involving the generalized hypergeometric function $_pF_q$. Some application examples from applied analysis, in which some new Fourier and Laplace integrals (or transforms) are evaluated, are given. The analytical solution of the Orr-Sommerfeld equation (with a linear mean flow background) in the short-wave limit is expressed in terms of some infinite series involving the hypergeometric series $_2F_3$. Making use of the hyperbolic and Euler identities, some interesting series identities involving exponential, hyperbolic, trigonometric functions and the generalized hypergeometric function are also derived.

Integral representation and functional inequalities involving generalized polylogarithm

Abstract:This paper focuses on the generalized polylogarithm $\Phi_{p, q}(a, b; z)$, which extends the notion of classical polylogarithm. A new integral representation for $\Phi_{p, q}(a, b; z)$ is derived. Using this integral representation, we discuss its complete monotonicity along with related consequences and establish bounds for $\Phi_{p, q}(a, b; z)$. In the process, we modify an existing integral representation of the Lerch transcendent function $\Psi(z, s, a)$ to extend its applicability to a larger domain. Additionally, Turán-type inequalities for the generalized polylogarithm $\Phi_{p, q}(a, b; z)$ are explored. Finally, we present an alternative proof of the existing integral representation of the generalized polylogarithm $\Phi_{p, q}(a, b; z)$ using the integral form of Hadamard convolution.

Abstract:In this paper we investigate a class of integrals that were encountered in the course of a work on statistical plasma physics, in the so-called Sommerfeld temperature-expansion of the electronic entropy. We show that such integrals, involving some parameters, can be fully described in closed form represented by special functions.

Abstract:In this paper, we give evaluations of integrals involving the arctan and the logarithm functions, and present several new summation identities for odd harmonic numbers and Milgram constants. These summation identities can be expressed as finite sums of special constants such as $\pi$, the Catalan constant, the values of Riemann zeta function at the positive odd numbers and $\ln2$ etc.. Some examples are detailed to illustrate the theorems.

Abstract:In this paper, we derive a Laplace type integral expression for the function eα,βγ(t;λ) defined byeα,βγ(t;λ)≔tβ−1Eα,βγ(−λtα),where Eα,βγ(z) stands for the generalized three-parameter Mittag–Leffler function occurring in many interesting applied problems involving fractional differential equations. Our result is shown to enable us to extend certain findings by Mainardi (2010) [21] and others. As an application of the obtained Laplace type integral representation, we prove the complete monotonicity of the function eα,βγ(t;λ). We also establish several related positivity results and some uniform upper bounds for the function eα,βγ(t;λ).
Unifying trigonometric and hyperbolic function derivatives via negative integer order polylogarithms

Abstract:Special functions like the polygamma, Hurwitz zeta, and Lerch zeta functions have sporadically been connected with the nth derivatives of trigonometric functions. We show the polylogarithm $\text{Li}_s(z)$, a function of complex argument and order $z$ and $s$, encodes the nth derivatives of the cotangent, tangent, cosecant and secant functions, and their hyperbolic equivalents, at negative integer orders $s = -n$. We then show how at the same orders, the polylogarithm represents the nth application of the operator $x \frac{d}{dx}$ on the inverse trigonometric and hyperbolic functions. Finally, we construct a sum relating two polylogarithms of order $-n$ to a linear combination of polylogarithms of orders $s = 0, -1, -2, ..., -n$.

On the Stieltjes Approximation Error to Logarithmic Integral

Abstract:This paper studies the error introduced ($\displaystyle \varepsilon(x)$) by the Stieltjes asymptotic approximation series $\displaystyle li_{*}(x) = \frac{x}{\log(x)}\sum_{k=0}^{n-1}\frac{k!}{\log^{k}(x)} + (\log(x)-n)\frac{xn!}{\log^{n+1}(x)}$ to the logarithmic integral function $li(x)$ with $\displaystyle n = \lfloor \log(x) \rfloor$ for all $x\ge e$. For this purpose, this paper uses some relations between term $\displaystyle \frac{n!}{\log^{n}(x)}$ and Stirling's approximation formula. In particular, this paper establishes two non-asymptotic lower and upper bounds for $\varepsilon(e^n)$ with $n \ge 1$ and $1 \le m \le n$: (i) $\displaystyle \varepsilon(e^m) + \frac{\sqrt{2\pi}}{8}\sum_{k=m+1}^{n} \frac{1}{k^{\frac{3}{2}}} \le \varepsilon(e^n) \le \varepsilon(e^{m}) + \frac{\sqrt{2\pi}}{4}\sum_{k=m+1}^{n} \frac{k+2}{k^{\frac{5}{2}}}$ (ii) $\displaystyle L_m - \frac{\sqrt{2\pi}}{4\sqrt{n+1}} \le \varepsilon_{n} \le R_m - \frac{\sqrt{2\pi}}{2\sqrt{n}} - \frac{\sqrt{2\pi}}{3\sqrt{n^3}}$. Here, $\displaystyle L_m = \varepsilon_{m} + \frac{\sqrt{2\pi}}{4\sqrt{m+1}}$ and $\displaystyle R_m = \varepsilon_{m} + \frac{\sqrt{2\pi}}{2\sqrt{m}} + \frac{\sqrt{2\pi}}{3\sqrt{m^3}}$ Moreover, this paper shows that if $\displaystyle |\varepsilon(x)| \le \frac{\sqrt{2\pi}}{\sqrt{\log(x)}}$ then $li(e^n) \le li_{*}(e^n)$ for all $n \ge 1$. Abstract:Assume that the generalized Ramanujan conjecture holds on the automorphic $L$-function $L(s, \pi)$ on $GL_d$ over $\mathbb{Q}$ with $d\geq 3$, we can obtain a small log-saving non-trivial bound on the second integral moment of $L(1/2+it, \pi)$. Specifically the bound \[ \int_{T}^{2T}\Big|L(\frac{1}{2}+it, \pi)\Big|^2 d t\ll_{\pi} \frac{T^{\frac{d}{2}}}{\log^{\eta_d}T} \] holds for a small constant $\eta_d>0$. As an application, we give a new asymptotic formula for the average of the coefficient $\lambda_{1\boxplus \pi}(n)$.

Abstract:Recently, Maesaka, Watanabe, and the third author discovered a phenomenon where the iterated integral expressions of multiple zeta values become discretized. In this paper, we extend their result to the case of multiple polylogarithms and provide two proofs. The first proof uses the method of connected sums, while the second employs induction based on the difference equations that discrete multiple polylogarithms satisfy. We also investigate several applications of our main result.

We also give a new method for obtaining relations among multiple zeta values, which uses iterated log-sine integrals, and give alternative proofs of several known results related to multiple zeta values and log-sine integrals.

Abstract:The series expansion of $x^m (-\log x)^l$ in terms of the shifted Chebyshev Polynomials $T_n^*(x)$ requires evaluation of the integral family $\int_0^1 x^m (-\log x)^l dx / \sqrt{x-x^2}$. We demonstrate that these can be reduced by partial integration to sums over integrals with exponent $m=0$ which have known representations as finite sums over polygamma functions.

Abstract:Recently, we established and used the generalized Littlewood theorem concerning contour integrals of the logarithm of analytical function to obtain new criteria equivalent to the Riemann hypothesis. The same theorem was subsequently applied to calculate certain infinite sums and study the properties of zeroes of a few analytical functions. In this article, we discuss what are, in a sense, inverse applications of this theorem. We first prove a Lemma that if two meromorphic on the whole complex plane functions f(z) and g(z) have the same zeroes and poles, taking into account their orders, and have appropriate asymptotic for large |z|, then for some integer n, dnln(f(z))dzn=dnln(g(z))dzn. The use of this Lemma enables proofs of many identities between elliptic functions, their transformation and n-tuple product rules. In particular, we show how exactly for any complex number a, ℘(z)-a, where ℘(z) is the Weierstrass ℘ function, can be presented as a product and ratio of three elliptic θ1 functions of certain arguments. We also establish n-tuple rules for some elliptic theta functions.

Basics of Multiple Polyexponential Integrals

Abstract:We introduce a set of special functions called multiple polyexponential integrals, defined as iterated integrals of the exponential integral $\text{Ei}(z)$. These functions arise in certain perturbative expansions of the local solutions of second-order ODEs around an irregular singularity. In particular, their recursive definition describes the asymptotic behavior of these local solutions. To complement the study of the multiple polyexponential integrals on the entire complex plane, we relate them with two other sets of special functions - the undressed and dressed multiple polyexponential functions - which are characterized by their Taylor series expansions around the origin.
