Abstract:In this paper we establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the limit set of a projective Anosov representation to be a differentiable submanifold of projective space with Holder continuous derivatives. We also calculate the optimal value of the Holder constant in terms of the eigenvalue data of the Anosov representation.

Abstract:We study the relation between critical exponents and Hausdorff dimensions of limit sets for projective Anosov representations. We prove that the Hausdorff dimension of the symmetric limit set in $\mathbf{P}(\mathbb{R}^{n}) \times \mathbf{P}({\mathbb{R}^{n}}^*)$ is bounded between two critical exponents associated respectively to a highest weight and a simple root.

Anosov representations acting on homogeneous spaces: domains of discontinuity

Abstract:We construct open domains of discontinuity for Anosov representations acting on some homogeneous spaces, including (pseudo-Riemannian) symmetric spaces. This generalizes work of Kapovich-Leeb-Porti on flag spaces. Our results complement those of Guéritaud-Guichard-Kassel-Wienhard, who constructed proper actions of Anosov representations. For Zariski dense Anosov representations with respect to a minimal parabolic subgroup acting on some symmetric spaces, we show that our construction describes the largest possible open domains of discontinuity.

Abstract:For all Zarski dense Anosov subgroups of a semisimple real algebraic group, we prove that their limit sets are Ahlfors regular for intrinsic conformal premetrics. As a consequence, we obtain that a Patterson-Sullivan measure is equal to the Hausdorff measure if and only if the associated linear form is symmetric. We also discuss several applications, including analyticity of $(p,q)$-Hausdorff dimensions on the Teichmüller spaces, new upper bounds on the growth indicator, and $L^2$-spectral properties of associated locally symmetric manifolds.

Abstract:We consider the action of Anosov subgroups of a semi-simple Lie group on the associated flag manifolds. A systematic approach to construct cocompact domains of discontinuity for this action was given by Kapovich, Leeb and Porti in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1306.3837" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1306.3837">arXiv:1306.3837</a>. For $\Delta$-Anosov representations, we prove that every cocompact domain of discontinuity arises from this construction, up to a few exceptions in low rank. Then we compute which flag manifolds admit these domains and, in some cases, the number of domains. We also find a new compactification for locally symmetric spaces arising from maximal representations into $\mathrm{Sp}(4n+2, \mathbb{R})$.

Abstract:As is well known the classical Hartman-Grobman theorem states that a C-1 mapping can be C-0 linearized near its hyperbolic fixed point in Rn. However, it is quite nontrivial to guarantee the local homeomorphism to be differentiable. Recently, the regularity assumption on derivative of the mapping has been weakened to Holder's type, significantly improving the work of C-infinity, but still unknown for only differentiable case. We will try to touch this question in this paper. Without Holder's type, we first consider the existence and regularity of weak-stable manifolds for homeomorphisms with contraction in a Banach space, and further study linearization of mappings near hyperbolic fixed points. More precisely, we propose an Integrability Condition for regularity on linearization which is proved to be sharp, and establish a differentiable Hartman-Grobman theorem via modulus of continuity in a general Banach space. Thus we provide an almost complete answer to the question mentioned above.

Abstract:We provide sufficient conditions for smooth conjugacy between two Anosov endomorphisms on the 2-torus. From that, we also explore how the regularity of the stable and unstable foliations implies smooth conjugacy inside a class of endomorphisms including, for instance, the ones with constant Jacobian. As a consequence, we have in this class a characterization of smooth conjugacy between special Anosov endomorphisms and their linearizations.

Abstract:Abstract Given any smooth Anosov map, we construct a Banach space on which the associated transfer operator is quasi-compact. The peculiarity of such a space is that, in the case of expanding maps, it reduces exactly to the usual space of functions of bounded variation which has proved to be particularly successful in studying the statistical properties of piecewise expanding maps. Our approach is based on a new method of studying the absolute continuity of foliations, which provides new information that could prove useful in treating hyperbolic systems with singularities.

Abstract:In this article, we establish the variational principle of the affinity exponent of Borel Anosov representations. We also establish such a principle of the Rauzy gasket. In Li-Pan-Xu, they obtain a dimension formula of the stationary measures on $\mathbb{P}(\mathbb{R}^3)$. Combined with our result, it allows us to study the Hausdorff dimension of limit sets of Anosov representations in $\mathrm{SL}_3(\mathbb{R})$ and the Rauzy gasket. It yields the equality between the Hausdorff dimensions and the affinity exponents in both settings. In the appendix, we improve the numerical lower bound of the Hausdorff dimension of Rauzy gasket to $1.5$.

Abstract:Let f:Td -> Td be an Anosov diffeomorphism whose linearization A is an element of GL(d,Z) is irreducible. Assume that f is also absolutely partially hyperbolic where a weak stable subbundle is considered as the center subbundle. We show that if the strong stable subbundle and the unstable subbundle are jointly integrable, then f is dynamically coherent and all foliations match corresponding linear foliation under the conjugacy to the linearization A. Moreover, f admits the finest dominated splitting in the weak stable subbundle with dimensions matching those for A$A$, and it has spectral rigidity along all these subbundles. In dimension 4, we also obtain a similar result by grouping the weak stable and unstable subbundles together as a center subbundle and assuming joint integrability of the strong stable and unstable subbundles. As an application, we show that for every symplectic diffeomorphism f is an element of Diff(omega)(2)(T-4) that is C-1-close to an irreducible nonconformal automorphism A is an element of Sp(4,Z), the extremal subbundles of f$f$ are jointly integrable if and only if f is smoothly conjugate to A$A$.
An extended definition of Anosov representation for relatively hyperbolic groups

Abstract:We define a new family of discrete representations of relatively hyperbolic groups which unifies many existing definitions and examples of geometrically finite behavior in higher rank. The definition includes the relative Anosov representations defined by Kapovich-Leeb and Zhu, and Zhu-Zimmer, as well as holonomy representations of various different types of "geometrically finite" convex projective manifolds. We prove that these representations are all stable under deformations whose restriction to the peripheral subgroups satisfies a dynamical condition, in particular allowing for deformations which do not preserve the conjugacy class of the peripheral subgroups.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a connected semisimple real algebraic group. We prove the continuity of limit cones along deformations of Anosov subgroups of $G$ under a certain convexity assumption. This convexity assumption turns out to be necessary. We discuss an application to the notion of sharpness of an action of a discrete subgroup on a non-Riemannian homogeneous space. We also obtain that growth indicators and certain critical exponents vary continuously in the space of Anosov representations.

Abstract:We explore the construction of non-Weinstein Liouville geometric objects based on Anosov 3-flows, intoduced by Mitsumatsu, in the generalized framework of Liouville Interpolation Systems and non-singular partially hyperbolic flows. We study the subtle phenomena inherited from the regularity and persistence theory of hyperbolic dynamics in the resulting Liouville structures, and prove dynamical and geometric rigidity results in this context. Among other things, we show that Mitsumatsu's examples characterize 4-dimensional non-Weinstein Liouville geometry with 3-dimensional $C^1$-persistent transverse skeleton. We also draw applications to the regularity theory of the weak dominated bundles for non-singular partially hyperbolic 3-flows.

Abstract:Let f be a non-invertible irreducible Anosov map on d-torus. We show that if the stable bundle of f is one-dimensional, then f has the integrable unstable bundle, if and only if, every periodic point of f admits the same Lyapunov exponent on the stable bundle as its linearization. For higher-dimensional stable bundle case, we get the same result on the assumption that f is a C-1-perturbation of a linear Anosov map with real simple Lyapunov spectrum on the stable bundle. In both cases, this implies if f is topologically conjugate to its linearization, then the conjugacy is smooth on the stable bundle.

Abstract:Using the thermodynamics formalism, we introduce a notion of intersection for projective Anosov representations, show analyticity results for the intersection and the entropy, and rigidity results for the intersection. We use the renormalized intersection to produce a $Out(\Gamma)$-invariant Riemannian metric on the smooth points of the deformation space of irreducible, projective Anosov representations of a word hyperbolic group $\Gamma$ into $SL(m,R)$ whose Zariski closure contains a generic element. In particular, we produce mapping class group invariant Riemannian metrics on Hitchin components which restrict to the Weil--Petersson metric on the Fuchsian loci. Moreover, we produce $Out(\Gamma)$-invariant metrics on deformation spaces of convex cocompact representations into $PSL(2,C)$ and show that the Hausdorff dimension of the limit set varies analytically over analytic families of convex cocompact representations into any rank 1 semi-simple Lie group.

Reducible Suspensions of Anosov Representations

Abstract:We study through the lens of Anosov representations the dynamical properties of reducible suspensions of linear representations of non-elementary hyperbolic groups, which are linear representations preserving and acting weakly unipotently on a proper non-zero subspace. We characterize when reducible suspensions are discrete and (almost) faithful, quasi-isometrically embedded, and Anosov. Anosov reducible suspensions correspond to points in bounded convex domains in a finite-dimensional real vector space. Stronger characterizations of such domains for symmetric Anosov representations allow us to find deformations of Borel Anosov representations which retain some but not all of the Anosov conditions and to compute examples of non-Anosov limits of Anosov representations.

Abstract:Generalizing a result of Berndtsson and Charpentier, we provide sufficient conditions for $L^2$ Sobolev regularity of the Bergman projection acting on $L^2$ sections of a holomorphic line bundle restricted to a relatively compact domain with Lipschitz boundary in a Hermitian manifold. We provide examples to show that our methods work for domains in Hopf manifolds endowed with a suitable Hermitian metric.

Abstract:Recently, Cheval and Leustean computed linear rates of asymptotic regularity for a viscosity version of Halpern-type iterations generated by a nonexpansive self-mapping of a metric space assuming that it has a fixed point. In the present paper, we show that their result is valid without this assumption. It is enough either to assume the existence of a bounded orbit of the nonexpansive mapping or the existence of a bounded sequence of approximate fixed points of the mapping.
