Abstract:The main result of this paper is that every naturally reductive space can be explicitly constructed from the construction in \cite{Storm2018}. This gives us a general formula for any naturally reductive space and from this we prove reducibility and isomorphism criteria.

Abstract:We present a general construction of naturally reductive spaces. For most of these spaces the naturally reductive structure is not induced from a normal homogeneous structure. First the infinitesimal models of these spaces are constructed. To these we apply the Nomizu construction to describe explicitly a transitive group of isometries and the naturally reductive structure with respect to this group action.

Abstract:We prove that the set of closed orbits in a real reductive representation contains a subset which is open with respect to the real Zariski topology if it has non-empty interior. In particular the set of closed orbits is dense.

Abstract:Let $A$ be an associative ring and $M$ a finitely generated projective $A$-module. We introduce a category $\operatorname{RBS}(M)$ and prove several theorems which show that its geometric realisation functions as a well-behaved unstable algebraic K-theory space. These categories $\operatorname{RBS}(M)$ naturally arise as generalisations of the exit path $\infty$-category of the reductive Borel-Serre compactification of a locally symmetric space, and one of our main techniques is to find purely categorical analogues of some familiar structures in these compactifications.

Abstract:Let $S$ be a locally Noetherian normal scheme and $\blacklozenge/S$ a set of properties of $S$-schemes. Then we shall write Sch$_{\blacklozenge/S}$ for the full subcategory of the category of $S$-schemes Sch$_{/S}$ determined by the objects $X\in {\rm Sch}_{\blacklozenge/S}$ that satisfy every property of $\blacklozenge/S$. In the present paper, we shall mainly be concerned with the properties "reduced", "quasi-compact over $S$", "quasi-separated over $S$", and "separated over $S$". We give a functorial category-theoretic algorithm for reconstructing $S$ from the intrinsic structure of the abstract category Sch$_{\blacklozenge/S}$. This result is analogous to a result of Mochizuki \cite{Mzk04} and may be regarded as a partial generalization of a result of de Bruyn \cite{deBr19} in the case where $S$ is a locally Noetherian normal scheme.

Abstract:Can there be a structure space-type theory for an arbitrary class of ideals of a ring? The ideal spaces introduced in this paper allows such a study and our theory includes (but not restricted to) prime, maximal, minimal prime, strongly irreducible, irreducible, completely irreducible, proper, minimal, primary, nil, nilpotent, regular, radical, principal, finitely generated ideals. We characterise ideal spaces that are sober. We introduce the notion of a strongly disconnected spaces and show that for a ring with zero Jacobson radical, strongly disconnected ideal spaces containing all maximal ideals of the ring imply existence of non-trivial idempotent elements in the ring. We also give a sufficient condition for a spectrum to be connected.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to study reducibility properties in Sasakian geometry. First we give the Sasaki version of the de Rham Decomposition Theorem; however, we need a mild technical assumption on the Sasaki automorphism group which includes the toric case. Next we introduce the concept of {\it cone reducible} and consider $S^3$ bundles over a smooth projective algebraic variety where we give a classification result concerning contact structures admitting the action of a 2-torus of Reeb type. In particular, we can classify all such Sasakian structures up to contact isotopy on $S^3$ bundles over a Riemann surface of genus greater than zero. Finally, we show that in the toric case an extremal Sasaki metric on a Sasaki join always splits.

Abstract:In this paper we show that if a path structure has non-vanishing curvature at apoint then it has a canonical reduction to a Z/2Z-structure at a neighbourhood of thatpoint (in many cases it has a canonical parallelism). A simple implication of this resultis that the automorphism group of a non-flat path structure is of maximal dimensionthree (a result by Tresse of 1896). We also classify the invariant path structures onthree-dimensional Lie groups.

Abstract:We prove a structural result for geometrically non-reduced varieties and give applications to Fano varieties. For example, we show that if $X$ is the generic fibre of a Mori fibre space of relative dimension $n$, and the characteristic is $p>2n+1$, then any geometric non-reducedness of $X$ comes from the base of some fibration.

Abstract:Chain total double complexes with reductive differentials for non-abelian simplexes with associated spaces are considered. It is conjectured that corresponding relative cohomology is equivalent to the coset space of vanishing over non-vanishing functionals related to differentials of complexes. The conjecture is supported by the theorem for the case of spaces of correlation functions and generalized connections on vertex operator algebra bundles.

Abstract:We show performing general "0-brane reduction" along an arbitrary fixed direction in space–time and applied to the starting point of minimal, off-shell 4D, N = 1 irreducible supermultiplets, yields adinkras whose adjacency matrices are among some of the special cases proposed by Kuznetsova, Rojas and Toppan. However, these more general reductions also can lead to "Garden Algebra" structures beyond those described in their work. It is also shown that for light-like directions, reduction to the 0-brane breaks the equality in the number of fermions and bosons for dynamical theories. This implies that light-like reductions should be done instead to the space of 1-branes or equivalently to the worldsheet.

Abstract:A structural analysis of construction schemes is developed. That analysis is used to give simple and new constructions of combinatorial objects which have been of interest to set theorists and topologists. We then continue the study of capturing axioms associated to construction schemes. From them, we deduce the existence of several uncountable structures which are known to be independent from the usual axioms of Set Theory. Lastly, we prove that the capturing axiom $FCA(part)$ is implied by Jensen's $\Diamond$ principle.

Abstract:In this paper we attempt to present a very general approach to the study of structures (somehow) defined on a set $X$ by a family of maps $d: X \times X \mapsto \mathbb{R}^+$. It will be shown how the assignment of a preorder $\prec_{\Pi}$ on a set $\Pi$ of families of maps from $X \times X$ into $\mathbb{R}^+$ defines a structure on $X$. The structures obtained in this way will be called \emph{real structures}. For real structures on two different sets we study when they are \emph{of the same type}. An answer to this question will allow to introduce the notion of \emph{morphism}, and then to give the definition of the initial real structure with respect to a family of maps, and so also the definition of product real structure. Various examples of preorders, and hence of real structures, will be exhibited and discussed. A few examples of morphisms will be proposed.

Abstract:In the present paper we study naturally reductive homogeneous $(\alpha,\beta)$-metric spaces. Under some conditions, we give some necessary and sufficient conditions for a homogeneous $(\alpha,\beta)$-metric space to be naturally reductive. Then we show that for such spaces the two definitions of naturally reductive homogeneous Finsler space, given in literature, are equivalent. Finally we compute the flag curvature of naturally reductive homogeneous $(\alpha,\beta)$-metric spaces.

Abstract:Let D be a reduced effective strict normal crossing divisor on a smooth complex variety X , and let be the associated root stack over . Suppose that X admits an anti-holomorphic involution (real structure) that keeps D invariant. We show that the root stack naturally admits a real structure compatible with X . We also establish an equivalence of categories between the category of real logarithmic connections on this root stack and the category of real parabolic connections on X .

Abstract:I take a constructive look at Dieter Spreen's treatment of effective topological spaces and the Kreisel-Lacombe-Shoenfield-Tseitin (KLST) continuity theorem. Transferring Spreen's ideas from classical computability theory and numbered sets to a constructive setting leads to a theory of topological spaces, in fact two of them: a locale-theoretic one embodied by the notion of $\sigma$-frames, and a pointwise one that follows more closely traditional topology. Spreen's notion of effective limit passing turns out to be closely related to sobriety, while his witnesses for non-inclusion give rise to a novel separation property - any point separated from an overt subset by a semidecidable subset is already separated from it by an open one. I name spaces with this property Spreen spaces, and show that they give rise to a purely constructive continuity theorem: every map from an overt Spreen space to a pointwise regular space is pointwise continuous. The theorem is easily proved, but finding non-trivial examples of Spreen spaces is harder. I show that they are plentiful in synthetic computability theory.
