Abstract:The sum formula is a basic identity of multiple zeta values that expresses a Riemann zeta value as a homogeneous sum of multiple zeta values of a given dimension. This formula was already known to Euler in the dimension two case, conjectured in the early 1990s for higher dimensions and then proved by Granville and Zagier independently. Recently a weighted form of Euler's formula was obtained by Ohno and Zudilin. We generalize it to a weighted sum formula for multiple zeta values of all dimensions.

Abstract:We prove an explicit integral formula for computing the product of two shifted Riemann zeta functions everywhere in the complex plane. We show that this formula implies the existence of infinite families of exact exponential sum identities involving the divisor functions, and we provide examples of these identities. We conjecturally propose a method to compute divisor functions by matrix inversion, without employing arithmetic techniques.

Abstract:In this paper, we provide a symmetric formula and a duality formula relating multiple zeta values and zeta-star values. We find that the summation ∑a+b=r−1(−1)aζ★(a+2,{2}p−1)ζ★({1}b+1,{2}q) equals ζ★({2}p,{1}r,{2}q)+(−1)r+1ζ★({2}q,r+2,{2}p−1). With the help of this equation and Zagier's ζ★({2}p,3,{2}q) formula, we can easily determine ζ★({2}p,1,{2}q) and several interesting expressions.

Many variations and generalizations of it have been found since then. Abstract:Almost twelve decades ago, Mathieu investigated an interesting series S(r) in the study of elasticity of solid bodies. Since then many authors have studied various problems arising from the Mathieu series S(r) in various diverse ways. In this paper, we present a relationship between the Mathieu series S(r) and certain series involving the Zeta functions. By means of this relationship, we then express the Mathieu series S(r) in terms of the Trigamma function ψ′(z) or (equivalently) the Hurwitz (or generalized) Zeta function ζ(s,a). Accordingly, various interesting properties of S(r) can be obtained from those of ψ′(z) and ζ(s,a). Among other results, certain integral representations of S(r) are deduced here by using the aforementioned relationships among S(r), ψ′(z) and ζ(s,a).

Abstract:The subject of closed-form summation of series involving the Zeta functions has been remarkably widely investigated. Recently, in the course of his trying to give a closed-form expression for the Dirichlet beta function β(2n )( n ∈ N) ,L ima (16) posed a very interesting experimental conjecture for a closed-form evaluation of a certain class of series involving the Riemann Zeta function ζ(s). Here, in the present sequel to Lima's work, we aim at verifying correctness of Lima's conjecture and presenting several general analogues of Lima's conjecture. Our demonstration and derivations are based mainly upon a known formula for series associated with the Zeta functions. Relevant connections of some specialized results of the main identities presented here with those obtained in earlier works are also pointed out.

Abstract:We present an explicit formula for a weighted sum over the zeros of the Riemann zeta function. This weighted sum is evaluated in terms of a sum over the prime numbers, weighted with help of the Hermite polynomials. From the explicit formula presented in this note, it follows that prime numbers determine the distribution of the zeros of the Riemann zeta function. In fact, it is possible to compute the zeros of the zeta function without actually using this function.

Abstract:We present several formulae for the large $t$ asymptotics of the Riemann zeta function $\zeta(s)$, $s=\sigma+i t$, $0\leq \sigma \leq 1$, $t>0$, which are valid to all orders. A particular case of these results coincides with the classical results of Siegel. Using these formulae, we derive explicit representations for the sum $\sum_a^b n^{-s}$ for certain ranges of $a$ and $b$. In addition, we present precise estimates relating this sum with the sum $\sum_c^d n^{s-1}$ for certain ranges of $a, b, c, d$. We also study a two-parameter generalization of the Riemann zeta function which we denote by $\Phi(u,v,\beta)$, $u\in \mathbb{C}$, $v\in \mathbb{C}$, $\beta \in \mathbb{R}$. Generalizing the methodology used in the study of $\zeta(s)$, we derive asymptotic formulae for $\Phi(u,v,\beta)$.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the generalized Dedekind-Rademacher sums considered by Hall, Wilson and Zagier. We establish a formula for the products of two Bernoulli functions. The proof relies on Parseval's formula, Hurwitz's formula, and Lerch's functional equation. The result leads to reciprocity formulas for some generalizations of the classical Dedekind sums. In particular, it is shown that Carlitz's, Berndt's, Hall and Wilson's reciprocity theorems are deduced as special cases.

Abstract:Hickerson made an explicit formula for Dedekind sums $s(p,q)$ in terms of the continued fraction of $p/q$. We develop analogous formula for generalized Dedekind sums $s_{i,j}(p,q)$ defined in association with the $x^{i}y^{j}$-coefficient of the Todd power series of the lattice cone in $\Bbb{R}^2$ generated by $(1,0)$ and $(p,q)$. The formula generalizes Hickerson's original one and reduces to Hickerson's for $i=j=1$. In the formula, generalized Dedekind sums are divided into two parts: the integral $s^I_{ij}(p,q)$ and the fractional $s^R_{ij}(p,q)$. We apply the formula to Siegel's formula for partial zeta values at a negative integer and obtain a new expression which involves only $s^I_{ij}(p,q)$ the integral part of generalized Dedekind sums. This formula directly generalize Meyer's formula for the special value at $0$. Using our formula, we present the table of the partial zeta value at $s=-1$ and $-2$ in more explicit form. Finally, we present another application on the equidistribution property of the fractional parts of the graph $\Big{(}\frac{p}{q},R_{i+j}q^{i+j-2} s_{ij}(p,q)\Big{)}$ for a certain integer $R_{i+j}$ depending on $i+j$.
