Abstract:In this paper we will study the projetivity of various natural modules associated to operator Segal algebras of the Fourier algebra of a locally compact group. In particular, we will focus on the question of identifying when such modules will be projective in the category of operator spaces. Projectivity often implies that the underlying group is discrete or even finite. We will also look at the projectivity for modules of $A_{cb}(G)$, the closure of $A(G)$ in the space of its completely bounded mutipliers. Here we give an evidence to show that weak amenability of $G$ plays an important role.

Abstract:We study the behavior of various properties of commutative Noetherian rings under Segre products, with a special focus on properties in positive prime characteristic defined using the Frobenius endomorphism. Specifically, we construct normal graded rings of finite Frobenius representation type that are not Cohen-Macaulay.

Abstract:In this paper, we give a more down-to-earth introduction to the connection between Gelfand-Tsetlin modules over and diagrammatic KLRW algebras and develop some of its consequences. In addition to a new proof of this description of the category Gelfand-Tsetlin modules appearing in earlier work, we show three new results of independent interest: (1) we show that every simple Gelfand-Tsetlin module is a canonical module in the sense of Early, Mazorchuk and Vishnyakova, and characterize when two maximal ideals have isomorphic canonical modules, (2) we show that the dimensions of Gelfand-Tsetlin weight spaces in simple modules can be computed using an appropriate modification of Leclerc's algorithm for computing dual canonical bases, and (3) we construct a basis of the Verma modules of which consists of generalized eigenvectors for the Gelfand-Tsetlin subalgebra. Furthermore, we present computations of multiplicities and Gelfand-Kirillov dimensions for all integral Gelfand-Tsetlin modules in ranks 3 and 4; unfortunately, for ranks , our computers are not adequate to perform these computations.

Abstract:We discuss various applications of a uniform vanishing result for the graded components of the finite length Koszul module associated to a subspace in the second wedge product of a vector space. Previously Koszul modules of finite length have been used to give a proof of Green's Conjecture on syzygies of generic canonical curves. We now give applications to effective stabilization of cohomology of thickenings of algebraic varieties, divisors on moduli spaces of curves, enumerative geometry of curves on K3 surfaces and to skew-symmetric degeneracy loci. We also show that the stability of sufficiently positive rank 2 vector bundles on curves is governed by resonance.

Segal K-theory of vector spaces with an automorphism

Abstract:We describe the Segal $K$-theory of the symmetric monoidal category of finite-dimensional vector spaces over a perfect field $\mathbb{F}$ together with an automorphism, or, equivalently, the group-completion of the $E_\infty$-algebra of maps from $S^1$ to the disjoint union of classifying spaces $\mathrm{BGL}_d(\mathbb F)$, in terms of the $K$-theory of finite field extensions of $\mathbb{F}$. A key ingredient for this is a computation of the Segal $K$-theory of the category of finite-dimensional vector spaces with a nilpotent endomorphism, which we do over any field $\mathbb F$. We also discuss the topological cases of $\mathbb F =\mathbb C,\mathbb R$.

$\mathscr{D}$-modules on the basic affine space and large $\mathfrak{g}$-modules

Abstract:In this paper, we treat $\mathscr{D}$-modules on the basic affine space $G/U$ and their global sections for a semisimple complex algebraic group $G$. Our aim is to prepare basic results about large non-irreducible modules for the branching problem and harmonic analysis of reductive Lie groups. A main tool is a formula given by Bezrukavnikov--Braverman--Positselskii. The formula is about a product of functions and their Fourier transforms on $G/U$ like Capelli's identity. Using the formula, we give a generalization of the Beilinson--Bernstein correspondence. We show that the global sections of holonomic $\mathscr{D}$-modules are also holonomic using the formula. As a consequence, we give a large algebra action on the $\mathfrak{u}$-cohomologies $H^i(\mathfrak{u}; V)$ of a $\mathfrak{g}$-module $V$ when $V$ is realized as a holonomic $\mathscr{D}$-module. We consider affinity of the supports of the $\mathfrak{t}$-modules $H^i(\mathfrak{u}; V)$.

Abstract:Recall that an algebraic module is a KG-module that satisfies a polynomial with integer coefficients, with addition and multiplication given by direct sum and tensor product. In this article we prove that if L is a component of the (stable) Auslander-Reiten quiver for a dihedral 2-group consisting of non-periodic modules, then there is at most one algebraic module on L.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the product of two simple modules over KLR algebras using the quiver Grassmannians for Dynkin quivers. More precisely, we establish a bridge between the Induction functor on the category of modules of KLR algebras and the irreducible components of quiver Grassmannians for Dynkin quivers via a sort of extension varieties, which is an analogue of the extension group in Hall algebras. As a result, we give a necessary condition when the product of two simple modules over a KLR algebra is simple using the set of irreducible components of quiver Grassmannians. In particular, in some special cases, we provide a proof for the conjecture recently proposed by Lapid and Minguez.

Abstract:We introduce a family of modules for the quantum affine algebra which include as very special cases both the snake modules and the modules arising from a monoidal categorification of cluster algebras. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for these modules to be prime and prove a unique factorization result. We also give an explicit formula expressing the module as an alternating sum of Weyl modules. Finally, we give an application of our results to classical questions in the category $\mathcal{ O}(\mathfrak{gl}_r)$. Specifically we apply our results to show that there are a large family of non-regular, non-dominant weights $\mu$ for which the non-zero Kazhdan-Lusztig coefficients $c_{\mu, \nu}$ are $\pm 1$.

Abstract:We show that diagonal subalgebras and generalized Veronese subrings of a bigraded Koszul algebra are Koszul. We give upper bounds for the regularity of sidediagonal and relative Veronese modules and apply the results to symmetric algebras and Rees rings.

Abstract:We investigate the Weak Lefschetz Properties for modules whose minimal free resolutions are given by generalized Kosuzl complexes in dimension three through a careful study of their Betti numbers and the symmetry and unimodality of their Hilbert functions. We also study the non-Lefschetz locus for finite length modules in arbitrary dimension, and are able to generalize several previous results on the non-Lefschetz locus in this setting. Along the way, we find several connections with a Gorenstein analogue for finite length modules and Artin level modules that are both interesting and useful throughout this paper.

Abstract:A foundational principle in the study of modules over standard graded polynomial rings is that geometric positivity conditions imply vanishing of Betti numbers. The main goal of this paper is to determine the extent to which this principle extends to the nonstandard graded case. In this setting, the classical arguments break down, and the results become much more nuanced. We introduce a new notion of Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity and employ exterior algebra techniques to control the shapes of nonstandard graded minimal free resolutions. Our main result reveals a unique feature in the nonstandard graded case: the possible degrees of the syzygies of a graded module in this setting are controlled not only by its regularity, but also by its depth. As an application of our main result, we show that, given a simplicial projective toric variety and a module M over its coordinate ring, the multigraded Betti numbers of M are contained in a particular polytope when M satisfies an appropriate positivity condition.

Abstract:Let X⊂YX subset Y be closed (possibly singular) subschemes of a smooth projective toric variety TT. We show how to compute the Segre class s(X,Y){s}(X,Y) as a class in the Chow group of TT. Building on this, we give effective methods to compute intersection products in projective varieties, to determine algebraic multiplicity without working in local rings, and to test pairwise containment of subvarieties of TT. Our methods may be implemented without using Gröbner bases; in particular any algorithm to compute the number of solutions of a zero-dimensional polynomial system may be used.

Abstract:The category gp(Λ) of Gorenstein-projective modules over tensor algebra Λ=A⊗kB can be described as the monomorphism category mon(B,gp(A)) of B over gp(A). In particular, Gorenstein-projective Λ-modules are monic. In this paper, we find the similar relation between semi-Gorenstein-projective Λ-modules and A-modules, via monic modules, namely, mon(B,A⊥)=mon(B,A)∩Λ⊥. Using this, it is proved that if A is weakly Gorenstein, then Λ is weakly Gorenstein if and only each semi-Gorenstein-projective Λ-modules are monic; and that if B=kQ with Q a finite acyclic quiver, then Λ is weakly Gorenstein if and only if A is weakly Gorenstein. However, this relation itself does not answer the question whether there exist double semi-Gorenstein-projective Λ-modules which are not monic. Using the recent discovered examples of double semi-Gorenstein-projective A-modules which are not torsionless, we positively answer this question, by explicitly constructing a class of double semi-Gorenstein-projective T2(A)-modules with one parameter such that they are not monic, and hence not torsionless. The corresponding results are obtained also for the monic modules and semi-Gorenstein-projective modules over the triangular matrix algebras given by bimodules.

Abstract:Following the well-established terminology in commutative algebra, any (notnecessarily commutative) finite-dimensional local algebra A with radical Jwill be said to be short provided J^3 = 0.
