Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the new generalization of contraction mapping by a new control function and an altering distance . We establish some existence results of fixed point for such mappings. Our results reproduce several old and new results in the literature.

Abstract:In this paper, owing to the concept of F-contraction, we define two new classes of functions M(S,T)$$M(S,T)$$ and N(S,T)$$N(S,T)$$, and we prove some new fixed point results for single-valued and multivalued mappings in complete metric spaces. Our results extend, generalize and unify several known results in the literature. We include an example to show that the generalization is proper.

Abstract:In this article, we introduce two multivalued contractive mappings within the framework of Hausdorff controlled metric spaces, employing concepts of admissibility and C ‐class functions. The first mapping is a (β∗,ζ) ‐generalized contractive multivalued mapping, and the second is a (β,W(ζ,ξ)) ‐multivalued mapping. We establish conditions guaranteeing the existence of fixed points for these mappings. To support our theoretical findings, we provide a numerical example, demonstrating the independence of the contractive conditions for the mappings. Furthermore, we apply our results to a specific problem in polynomial equations. These findings complement several existing results in the literature.

Abstract:In this paper, a generalization of fixed-point mappings with an iterate at a point in complete metric spaces is shown, using the notions of T-closed sets and i-P-regularity/d-P-regularity, proving conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the fixed point. Examples are provided to illustrate the results and an application to coupled fixed points is shown.

Abstract:In the present work, we will establish and prove some fixed point theorems for mappings that satisfy a set of conditions in controlled metric type spaces introduced by Mlaiki et al. [N. Mlaiki, H. Aydi, N. Souayah, T. Abdeljawad, Controlled metric type spaces and the related contraction principle. Mathematics 2018, 6,194]. Our technique in constructing our new contraction conditions is to insert the control function $ \theta(u, l) $ that appears on the right hand side of the triangular inequality of the definition of the controlled metric spaces in the right hand side of our proposed contraction conditions. Our results enrich the field of fixed point theory with novel findings that generalize many findings found in the literature. We provide an example to show the usefulness of our results. Also, we present an application to our results to show their significance.

Abstract:In this paper, we aim to overcome the problem given by Abkar et al. [ Abstr. Appl. Anal. , 2013 (2013), 189567], and so to obtain real generalizations of fixed point results in the literature. In this direction, we introduce a new class of functions, which include $ \mathcal{R} $-functions. Thus, we present a new type of $ \mathcal{R} $ -contraction and weaken $ \mathcal{R} $-contractions that have often been studied recently. We also give a new definition of the $ P $-property. Hence, we obtain some best proximity point results, including fixed point results for the new kind of $ \mathcal{R} $-contractions. Then, we provide an example to show the effectiveness of our results. Finally, inspired by a nice and interesting technique, we investigate the existence of a best proximity point of the homotopic mappings with the help of our main result.

Abstract:The intention of this article is to introduce a generalization of Proinov-type contraction via simulation functions. We name this generalized contraction map as Proinov-type Z-contraction. This article establishes the existence and uniqueness of fixed points for these contraction mappings in quasi-metric space and also, include explanatory examples with graphical interpretation. As an application, we generate a new iterated function system (IFS) consisting of Proinov-type Z-contractions in quasi-metric spaces. At the end of the paper, we prove the existence of a unique attractor for the IFS consisting of Proinov-type Z-contractions.

Abstract:This manuscript is concerned with obtaining results for fixed points that arise from new contractive mappings on controlled metric spaces. These mappings are a mixture of Wardowski's contractions with both multivalued, nonlinear mappings and auxiliary functions. It is also proved that the obtained fixed-point outcomes are well-posed. Additionally, a data-dependence result for fixed points is given. To aid with understanding, several illustrative examples are also provided. Numerous findings that are currently in the literature are specific instances of the findings that were made.

Fixed point results for contractions of polynomial type

Abstract:We introduce two new classes of single-valued contractions of polynomial type defined on a metric space. For the first one, called the class of polynomial contractions, we establish two fixed point theorems. Namely, we first consider the case when the mapping is continuous. Next, we weaken the continuity condition. In particular, we recover Banach's fixed point theorem. The second class, called the class of almost polynomial contractions, includes the class of almost contractions introduced by Berinde [Nonlinear Analysis Forum. 9(1) (2004) 43--53]. A fixed point theorem is established for almost polynomial contractions. The obtained result generalizes that derived by Berinde in the above reference. Several examples showing that our generalizations are significant, are provided.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce new types of contraction mappings named S-Pata-type contraction mapping and Generalized S-Pata-type contraction mapping in the framework of S-metric space. Then, we prove some new fixed-point results for S-Pata-type contraction mappings and Generalized S-Pata-type contraction mappings. Abstract:The goal of this study is to describe the class of modified Sehgal–Guseman-like contraction mappings and set up some fixed-point results in S-metric spaces. The class of generalized Sehgal–Guseman-like contraction mappings contains enhancements of Banach contractions, Kannan contractions, Chatterjee contractions, Chatterjee-type contractions, quasi-contractions, Ćirić–Reich–Rus-type contractions, Hardy–Rogers-type contractions, Reich-type contractions, interpolative Kannan contractions, interpolative Chatterjee contractions, among others, with their generalizations in S-metric spaces. We offer significant examples to substantiate the reliability of our results. This study also establishes consequential fixed-point results and applies them to nonlinear fractional differential equations and the boundary value problem for homogeneous transverse bars. At the end of the manuscript, we present an important open problem.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper was to introduce several $ b $-generalized contractive mappings in the framework of cone $ b $-metric spaces over Banach algebras. The obtained contractions generalized and extended the counterparts in metric spaces, cone metric spaces, and $ b $-metric spaces. Moreover, via weakening the completeness of the spaces, we gave some fixed point theorems for asymptotically regular mappings without considering the orbital continuity and $ k $-continuity of the mappings. Those who need a specification is our results do not rely on the continuity of $ b $-metric and the normality of cones. In addition, some nontrivial examples were presented to illustrate the superiority of our fixed point theorems.

Abstract:In this paper, we first introduced a new class of generalized non-expansive mappings, which was larger than the class satisfying the condition $ B_{\gamma, \mu } $. Also, we proposed a new iterative process to approximate the fixed point of the mapping we introduced in this work, then we prove convergence theorems for these mappings by using our iteration process. Lastly, a numerical example was given to show the efficiency of this new iteration process. Our results were the extension and generalization of many known results in the literature in fixed point theory.

Abstract:In this paper we introduce and study new classes of mappings in metric spaces. The main class of mappings is called generalized orbital triangular contractions and it generalizes some existing results (such as Banach contractions, mappings contracting perimeters of triangles). We prove that these contractions are not necessarily continuous and have a unique fixed point under certain conditions. Moreover, we extend our class to generalized orbital triangular Kannan contractions and generalized orbital triangular Chatterjea contractions.

Abstract:We introduce a large class of contractive mappings, called Suzuki Berinde type contraction. We show that any Suzuki Berinde type contraction has a fixed point and characterizes the completeness of the underlying normed space. A fixed point theorem for multivalued mapping is also obtained. These results unify, generalize and complement various known comparable results in the literature.

Abstract:Fixed Point Theory is among the most valued research topics nowadays. Over the years, it has been developed in three directions: by generalizing the metric space, by establishing new contractive conditions, and by applying its results to various fields such as Differential Equations, Integral Equations, Economics, etc. In this paper, we define a new class of cone metric spaces called the class of extended quasi-cone b-metric spaces. Extended quasi-cone b-metric spaces generalize cone metric spaces and quasi-cone b-metric spaces. We have studied topological issues, such as the right and left topologies, right (left) Cauchy, and convergent sequences. Furthermore, there are determined generalized τ-almost contractions, which extend the almost contractions. The highlight of this study is the investigation of the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point for some types of generalized τ-almost contractions in extended quasi-cone b-metric space. We prove some corollaries and theorems for known contractions in extended quasi-cone b-metric spaces. Our results generalize some known theorems given in literature due to the new cone metric spaces and contractions. Concrete examples illustrate theoretical outcomes. In addition, we show an application of the main results to Integral Equations, which provides the applicative side of them.

Abstract:This paper explores a new class of mappings and presents several fixed-point results for these mappings. We define these mappings by combining well-known mappings in the literature, specifically the large contraction mapping and Chatterjea's mapping. This combination allows us to achieve significant fixed-point results in complete metric spaces, both in a continuous and a non-continuous sense. Additionally, we provide an explicit example to validate our findings. Furthermore, we discuss a general model for fractional differential equations using the Caputo derivative. Finally, we outline the benefits of our study and suggest potential areas for future research.
