Abstract:Consider the smooth sections of the tangent bundle of a reductive homogeneous space. This is a vector space over the field of real numbers. The canonical connection acts as a linear binary operator on this vector space, making it an algebra. If we include another binary operator defined as the negative of the torsion, the resulting algebraic structure is a post-Lie-Yamaguti algebra. This structure is closely related to Lie-Yamaguti algebras.

Abstract:A compatible associative algebra is a vector space equipped with two associative multiplication structures that interact in a certain natural way. This article presents the classification of these algebras with dimension less than four, as well as the classifications of their corresponding derivations, centroids, automorphisms, and quasi-centroids. We then characterize a selection of further invariants such as Rota-Baxter operators and second cohomology for some specific examples.

Abstract:It is believed that the discriminant variety of a semiuniversal deformation of an isolated hypersurface singularity has nice properties, both from the algebro-geometric and homotopy theoretic point of view. Until now, complete results have only been obtained for rational double points. The aim of this lecture is to report on recent progress concerning this question in the case of a unimodular singularity, which supports this belief.

Abstract:The first author defended her doctoral thesis Espacios homogéneos reductivos y álgebras no asociativas in 2001, supervised by P. Benito and A. Elduque. This thesis contained the classification of the Lie-Yamaguti algebras with standard enveloping algebra $\mathfrak{g}_2$ over fields of characteristic zero, which in particular gives the classification of the homogeneous reductive spaces of the compact Lie group $G_2$. In this work we revisit this classification from a more geometrical approach. We provide too geometric models of the corresponding homogeneous spaces and make explicit some relations among them.

Abstract:Chain total double complexes with reductive differentials for non-abelian simplexes with associated spaces are considered. It is conjectured that corresponding relative cohomology is equivalent to the coset space of vanishing functionals over non-vanishing functionals related to differentials of complexes. The conjecture is supported by the theorem for the case of spaces of correlation functions and generalized connections on vertex operator algebra bundles.

Abstract:In the present paper we study naturally reductive homogeneous $(\alpha,\beta)$-metric spaces. Under some conditions, we give some necessary and sufficient conditions for a homogeneous $(\alpha,\beta)$-metric space to be naturally reductive. Then we show that for such spaces the two definitions of naturally reductive homogeneous Finsler space, given in literature, are equivalent. Finally we compute the flag curvature of naturally reductive homogeneous $(\alpha,\beta)$-metric spaces.

Abstract:Over a field of characteristic zero, we show that two commutative differential graded (dg) algebras are quasi-isomorphic if and only if they are quasi-isomorphic as associative dg algebras. This answers a folklore problem in rational homotopy theory, showing that the rational homotopy type of a space is determined by its associative dg algebra of rational cochains. We also show a Koszul dual statement, under an additional completeness hypothesis: two homotopy complete dg Lie algebras whose universal enveloping algebras are quasi-isomorphic as associative dg algebras must themselves be quasi-isomorphic. The latter result applies in particular to nilpotent Lie algebras (not differential graded), in which case it says that two nilpotent Lie algebras whose universal enveloping algebras are isomorphic as associative algebras must be isomorphic.

Abstract:We adapt techniques used in the study of the cubic Dirac operator on homogeneous reductive spaces to the Dolbeault operator on elliptic coadjoint orbits to prove that cohomologically induced representations have an infinitesimal character, that cohomological induction and Zuckerman translation functor commute and give a geometric interpretation of the Zuchkerman translation functor in this context.

Abstract:We extend the results about left-invariant Codazzi tensor fields on Lie groups equipped with left-invariant Riemannian metrics obtained by d'Atri in 1985 to the setting of reductive homogeneous spaces $G/H$, where the curvature of the canonical connection of second kind associated with the fixed reductive decomposition $\mathfrak{g} = \mathfrak{h}\oplus\mathfrak{m}$ enters the picture. In particular, we show that invariant Codazzi tensor fields on a naturally reductive homogeneous space are parallel.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to study the structure and the algebraic varieties of Hom-associative algebras. We characterize multiplicative simple Hom-associative algebras and give some examples deforming the 2 × 2-matrix algebra to simple Hom-associative algebras. We provide a classification of n-dimensional Hom-associative algebras for n ≤ 3. Then we study irreducible components using deformation theory.

Abstract:We present a general construction of naturally reductive spaces. For most of these spaces the naturally reductive structure is not induced from a normal homogeneous structure. First the infinitesimal models of these spaces are constructed. To these we apply the Nomizu construction to describe explicitly a transitive group of isometries and the naturally reductive structure with respect to this group action.

Abstract:In this paper, we established the relationship among left-invariant flat connections on Lie groups, left-symmetric algebras, Frobenius Lie algebras and étale prehomogeneous vector spaces, gave a one-to-one correspondence between the left-symmetric Lie algebras with a right identity and the étale prehomogeneous vector spaces for a Lie group, and proved that, in essence, any left-symmetric structure on a reductive Lie algebra has a right identity, which implies that the classification of flat connections on a reductive Lie group $G$ amounts to that of étale prehomogeneous vector spaces for $G$. We classified the étale prehomogeneous vector spaces for $G$ with simple Levi factors.

Abstract:Lie conformal algebras appear in the theory of vertex algebras. Their relation is similar to that of Lie algebras and their universal enveloping algebras. Associative conformal algebras play a role in conformal representation theory. We introduce the notions of conformal identity and unital associative conformal algebras and classify finitely generated simple unital associative conformal algebras of linear growth. These are precisely the complete algebras of conformal endomorphisms of finite modules.

Abstract:We classify essential algebras whose irredundant non-refinable covers consist of primal algebras. The proof is obtained by constructing one to one correspondence between such algebras and partial orders on finite sets. Further, we prove that for a finite algebra, it has an irredundant non-refinable cover consists of primal algebras if and only if it is the both congruence primal and arithmetical. Finally, we obtain combinatorial description of congruence primal arithmetical algebras.
