Abstract:Rudin's version of the classical Julia-Wolff-Carathéodory theorem is a cornerstone of holomorphic function theory in the unit ball of $\mathbb{C}^d$. In this paper we obtain a complete generalization of Rudin's theorem for a holomorphic map $f\colon D\to D'$ between convex domains of finite type. In particular, given a point $\xi\in \partial D$ with finite dilation we show that the $K$-limit of $f$ at $\xi$ exists and is a point $\eta\in \partial D'$, and we obtain asymptotic estimates for all entries of the Jacobian matrix of the differential $df_z$ in terms of the multitypes at the points $\xi$ and at $\eta$. We introduce a generalization of Bracci-Patrizio-Trapani's pluricomplex Poisson kernel which, together with the dilation at $\xi$, gives a formula for the restricted $K$-limit of the normal component of the normal derivative $\langle df_z(n_\xi),n_\eta\rangle$. Our principal tools are methods from Gromov hyperbolicity theory, a scaling in the normal direction, and the strong asymptoticity of complex geodesics. To obtain our main result we prove a conjecture by Abate on the Kobayashi type of a vector $v$, proving that it is equal to the reciprocal of the line type of $v$, and we give new extrinsic characterizations of both $K$-convergence and restricted convergence to a point $\xi\in \partial D$ in terms of the multitype at $\xi$.

Abstract:We give a short new proof of the Arendt-Chernoff-Kato theorem, which characterizes generators of positive C0 semigroups in order unit spaces. The proof avoids half-norms and subdifferentials, and is based on a sufficient condition for an operator to have positive inverse, which is new even for matrices.

Abstract:This note aims to study the iteration theory of noncommutative self-maps of bounded matrix convex domains. We prove a version of the Denjoy-Wolff theorem for the row ball and the maximal quantization of the unit ball of $\mathbb{C}^d$. For more general bounded matrix convex sets, we prove a version of Wolff's theorem inspired by the results of Abate. Lastly, we use iteration and fixed point theory to generalize the commutative results of Davidson, Ramsey, and Shalit to quotients of the free semigroup algebra by WOT closed ideals.

Abstract:A definition of summability is put forward in the framework of general Carleman ultraholomorphic classes in sectors, so generalizing $k-$summability theory as developed by J.-P. Ramis. Departing from a strongly regular sequence of positive numbers, we construct an associated analytic proximate order and corresponding kernels, which allow us to consider suitable Laplace and Borel-type transforms, both formal and analytic, whose behavior closely resembles that of the classical ones in the Gevrey case. An application to the study of the summability properties of the formal solutions to some moment-partial differential equations is included.

Abstract:We establish new versions of the Wiener-Ikehara theorem where only boundary assumptions on the real part of the Laplace transform are imposed. Our results generalize and improve a recent theorem of T. Koga [J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 27 (2021), Article No. 18]. As an application, we give a quick Tauberian proof of Blackwell's renewal theorem.

Abstract:In this note, we initiate a study on Jarník-Besicovitch type theorems for semisimple algebraic groups from the representation-theoretic point of view. Let $\rho:\mathbf G\to\operatorname{\mathbf{GL}}(V)$ be an irreducible $\mathbb Q$-rational representation of a connected semisimple $\mathbb Q$-algebraic group $\mathbf G$ on a complex vector space $V$ and $\{a_t\}_{t\in\mathbb R}$ a one-parameter subgroup in a $\mathbb Q$-split torus in $\mathbf G$. We define a subset $S_\tau(\rho,\{a_t\}_{t\in\mathbb R})$ of Diophantine elements of type $\tau$ in $\mathbf G(\mathbb R)$ in terms of the representation $\rho$ and the subgroup $\{a_t\}_{t\in\mathbb R}$, and prove formulas for the Hausdorff dimension of the complement of $S_{\tau}(\rho,\{a_t\}_{t\in\mathbb R})$. As corollaries, we deduce several Jarník-Besicovitch type theorems.

Abstract:In the first part of this paper, we give a new analytical proof of a theorem of C. Sabbah on integrable deformations of meromorphic connections on $\mathbb P^1$ with coalescing irregular singularities of Poincaré rank 1, and generalizing a previous result of B. Malgrange. In the second part of this paper, as an application, we prove that any semisimple formal Frobenius manifold (over $\mathbb C$), with unit and Euler field, is the completion of an analytic pointed germ of a Dubrovin-Frobenius manifold. In other words, any formal power series, which provides a quasi-homogenous solution of WDVV equations and defines a semisimple Frobenius algebra at the origin, is actually convergent under no further tameness assumptions.
