Abstract:Frozen shoulder is a common medical condition, but the ideal therapeutic method is yet to be determined. Our aim was to analyze the pain-relieving effect of different treatment options used for the management of this disease.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The main problem that this paper attempts to solve is to evaluate the effects of different treatment regimens on pain relief in patients with early - stage primary frozen shoulder. Specifically, the study aims to analyze the following issues: 1. **Pain - relief effects of different treatment methods**: By comparing the effects of conservative treatments (such as physical therapy, non - steroidal anti - inflammatory drugs, intra - articular steroid injections, etc.) and surgical treatments (such as arthroscopic capsular release) on pain relief. 2. **Impact on quality of life**: Evaluate the impact of different treatment methods on the quality of life of patients, especially by using the Oxford Shoulder Score (OSS) and Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) to measure. 3. **Relationship between treatment effects and patient characteristics**: Explore whether individual characteristics of patients such as age, gender, comorbidities, etc. affect the treatment effects and the course of the disease. ### Research background Frozen shoulder is a common disease, characterized by shoulder joint pain, stiffness and reduced range of motion. Although there are many treatment methods, there is currently no widely accepted standard treatment regimen. Therefore, the focus of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of different treatment methods, in order to provide guidance for clinical practice. ### Main conclusions The study found that: - **Arthroscopic capsular release** is the most effective method for pain relief, followed by physical therapy and intra - articular steroid injections. - **Non - steroidal anti - inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)** have no significant effect on pain relief. - Although half of the patients still had slight persistent pain after treatment, most patients (76.3%) considered themselves "cured". - The treatment effect has no relation to factors such as the patient's age, gender, comorbidities, etc. Through these findings, the study provides an important reference basis for the treatment of frozen shoulder, emphasizing the importance of pain management in improving the quality of life of patients.
