Abstract:In this note we study associative dialgebras proving that the most interesting such structures arise precisely when the algebra is not semiprime. In fact the presence of some “perfection” property (simpleness, primitiveness, primeness, or semiprimeness) imply that the dialgebra comes from an associative algebra with both products ⊣ and ⊢ identified. We also describe the class of zero-cubed algebras and apply its study to that of dialgebras. Finally, we describe two-dimensional associative dialgebras.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the problem of determining the number of division algebras which share the same collection of finite splitting fields. As a corollary we are able to determine when two central division algebras may be distinguished by their finite splitting fields over certain fields.

On Dextral Symmetric Algebra

Abstract:We define the notion of dextral symmetric algebras (not necessarily associative), motivated by the idea of symmetric rings. We derive a complete classification of dextral symmetric algebras of Leavitt path algebras, and right Leibniz algebras up to dimension $4$. We also obtain that a finite-dimensional dextral symmetric right Leibniz algebra is solvable if and only if it satisfies a weaker notion of nilpotency.

Intersection of subspaces in $A^2$ for a three-dimensional division algebra $A$ over a finite field

Abstract:Let $A$ be a three-dimensional nonassociative division algebra over a finite field. Let $A$ act on the space $A^2$ by left multiplication. For a nonzero vector $v$ in $A^2$ we have a three-dimensional subspace $Av$ in $A^2$. This paper concerns about possible dimension of the intersection of $Av$ and $Av'$ for $v, v'$ in $A^2$. One of our results is that there exists a two-dimensional intersection if and only if $A$ is isotopic to a commutative algebra. We use a classical theorem that A is a twisted field of Albert.

Abstract:We introduce a new class of division algebras, the hyperpolyadic algebras, which correspond to the binary division algebras $\mathbb{R}$, $\mathbb{C}$, $\mathbb{H}$, $\mathbb{O}$ without considering new elements. First, we use the matrix polyadization procedure proposed earlier which increases the dimension of the algebra. The algebras obtained in this way obey binary addition and a nonderived n-ary multiplication and their subalgebras are division n-ary algebras. For each invertible element we define a new norm which is polyadically multiplicative, and the corresponding map is a $n$-ary homomorphism. We define a polyadic analog of the Cayley-Dickson construction which corresponds to the consequent embedding of monomial matrices from the polyadization procedure. We then obtain another series of n-ary algebras corresponding to the binary division algebras which have a higher dimension, that is proportional to the intermediate arities. Second, a new polyadic product of vectors in any vector space is defined. Endowed with this product the vector space becomes a polyadic algebra which is a division algebra under some invertibility conditions, and its structure constants are computed. Third, we propose a new iterative process ("imaginary tower"), which leads to nonunital nonderived ternary division algebras of half the dimension, which we call "half-quaternions" and "half-octonions". The latter are not subalgebras of the binary division algebras, but subsets only, since they have different arity. Nevertheless, they are actually ternary division algebras, because they allow division, and their nonzero elements are invertible. From the multiplicativity of the introduced "half-quaternion" norm we obtain the ternary analog of the sum of two squares identity. We show that the ternary division algebra of imaginary "half-octonions" is unitless and totally associative.

On Divisor Topology of Commutative Rings

Abstract:Let $R\ $be an integral domain and $R^{\#}$ the set of all nonzero nonunits of $R.\ $For every elements $a,b\in R^{\#},$ we define $a\sim b$ if and only if $aR=bR,$ that is, $a$ and $b$ are associated elements. Suppose that $EC(R^{\#})$ is the set of all equivalence classes of $R^{\#}\ $according to $\sim$.$\ $Let $U_{a}=\{[b]\in EC(R^{\#}):b\ $divides $a\}$ for every $a\in R^{\#}.$ Then we prove that the family $\{U_{a}\}_{a\in R^{\#}}$ becomes a basis for a topology on $EC(R^{\#}).\ $This topology is called divisor topology of $R\ $and denoted by $D(R).\ $We investigate the connections between the algebraic properties of $R\ $and the topological properties of$\ D(R)$. In particular, we investigate the seperation axioms on $D(R)$, first and second countability axioms, connectivity and compactness on $D(R)$. We prove that for atomic domains $R,\ $the divisor topology $D(R)\ $is a Baire space. Also, we characterize valution domains $R$ in terms of nested property of $D(R).$ In the last section, we introduce a new topological proof of the infinitude of prime elements in a UFD and integers by using the topology $D(R)$.

Algebra of overpartitions

Abstract:In a 2022 paper, Dawsey, Just and the present author prove that the set of integer partitions, taken as a monoid under a partition multiplication operation I defined in my Ph.D. work, is isomorphic to the positive integers as a monoid under integer multiplication. In this note, I extend partition multiplication to the set of overpartitions, which are of much interest in partition theory. I prove the overpartitions form an Abelian group under partition multiplication. Moreover, the overpartitions and the positive rational numbers are isomorphic as multiplicative groups. I then prove further overpartition isomorphisms and discuss approaches to a ring theory of overpartitions.

Abstract:The structure and the existence of maximal subrings in division rings are investigated. We see that if $R$ is a maximal subring of a division ring $D$ with center $F$ and $N(R)\neq U(R)\cup \{0\}$, where $N(R)$ is the normalizer of $R$ in $D$, then either $R$ is a division ring with $[D:R]_l=[D:R]_r$ is finite or $R$ is an Ore $G$-domain with certain properties. In particular, if $F\subsetneq C_D(R)$, the centralizer of $R$ in $D$, then $R=C_D(\beta)$ is a division ring, for each $\beta\in C_R(R)\setminus F$, $[D:R]_l$ is finite if and only if $\beta$ is algebraic over $F$, $[D:R]_l=[D:R]_r=[F[\beta]:F]$ and $C_R(R)=F[\beta]$. On the other hand if $R$ does not contains $F$, then $R\cap F=C_R(R)$ is a maximal subring of $F$. Consequently, if a division ring $D$ has a noncentral element which is algebraic over the center of $D$, then $D$ has a maximal subring. In particular, we prove that if $D$ is a non-commutative division ring with center $F$, then either $D$ has a maximal subring or $dim_F(D)\geq |F|$. We study when a maximal subring of a division ring is a left duo ring or certain valuation rings. Finally, we prove that if $D$ is an existentially complete division ring over a field $K$, then $D$ has a maximal subring of the form $C_D(x)$ where $D$ is finite over it. Moreover, if $R$ is a maximal subring of $D$ with $K\subsetneq C_R(R)$, then $R=C_D(x)$ for some $x\in D\setminus K$, which is algebraic over $K$.

Abstract:In this book i treat linear algebra over division ring. A system of linear equations over a division ring has properties similar to properties of a system of linear equations over a field. However, noncommutativity of a product creates a new picture. Matrices allow two products linked by transpose. Biring is algebra which defines on the set two correlated structures of the ring. As in the commutative case, solutions of a system of linear equations build up right or left vector space depending on type of system. We study vector spaces together with the system of linear equations because their properties have a close relationship. As in a commutative case, the group of automorphisms of a vector space has a single transitive representation on a frame manifold. This gives us an opportunity to introduce passive and active representations. Studying a vector space over a division ring uncovers new details in the relationship between passive and active transformations, makes this picture clearer. Considering of twin representations of division ring in Abelian group leads to the concept of D vector space and their linear map. Based on polyadditive map I considered definition of tensor product of rings and tensor product of D vector spaces.

Abstract:Let $p_{1}, p_{2}$ be two distinct prime integers, let $n$ be a positive integer, $n$$\geq 3$ and let $\xi_{n} $ be a primitive root of order $n$ of the unity. In this paper we obtain a complete characterization for a quaternion algebra $H\left(p_{1}, p_{2}\right)$ to be a division algebra over the $n$th cyclotomic field $\mathbb{Q}\left(\xi_{n}\right)$, when $n$$\in$$\left\{3,4,6,7,8,9,11,12\right\}$ and also we obtain a characterization for a quaternion algebra $H\left(p_{1}, p_{2}\right)$ to be a division algebra over the $n$th cyclotomic field $\mathbb{Q}\left(\xi_{n}\right)$, when $n$$\in$$\left\{5,10\right\}$. In the 4th section we obtain a complete characterization for a quaternion algebra $H_{\mathbb{Q}\left(\xi_{n}\right)}\left(p_{1}, p_{2}\right)$ to be a division algebra, when $n=l^{k},$ with $l$ a prime integer, $l\equiv 3$ (mod $4$) and $k$ a positive integer. In the last section of this article we obtain a complete characterization for a quaternion algebra $H_{\mathbb{Q}\left(\xi_{l}\right)}\left(p_{1}, p_{2}\right)$ to be a division algebra, when $l$ is a Fermat prime number.

Differential graded division algebras, their modules, and dg-simple algebras

Abstract:We give the definition of a dg-division algebra, that is a concept of a differential graded algebra which may serve as an analogue of a division algebra. We classify them completely, and show that they are either acyclic or have differential $0$. Further, we prove that the graded centre of dg-simple dg-algebras is a dg-division algebra, and also the dg-endomorphism ring of a dg-simple module is a dg-division algebra. We also shall give a Jacobson-Chevalley density theorem for acyclic dg-algebras.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of an anti-dendriform algebra as a new approach of splitting the associativity. It is characterized as the algebra with two multiplications giving their left and right multiplication operators, respectively, such that the opposites of these operators define a bimodule structure on the sum of these two multiplications, which is associative. This justifies the terminology due to a closely analogous characterization of a dendriform algebra. The notions of anti- -operators and anti-Rota–Baxter operators on associative algebras are introduced to interpret anti-dendriform algebras. In particular, there are compatible anti-dendriform algebra structures on associative algebras with nondegenerate commutative Connes cocycles. There is an important observation that there are correspondences between certain subclasses of dendriform and anti-dendriform algebras in terms of q -algebras. As a direct consequence, we give the notion of Novikov-type dendriform algebras as an analogue of Novikov algebras for dendriform algebras, whose relationship with Novikov algebras is consistent with the one between dendriform and pre-Lie algebras. Finally, we extend to provide a general framework of introducing the notions of analogues of anti-dendriform algebras, which interprets a new splitting of operations.

Abstract:A family of quotient rings of the Rees algebra associated to a commutative ring is studied. This family generalizes both the classical concept of idealization by Nagata and a more recent concept, the amalgamated duplication of a ring. It is shown that several properties of the rings of this family do not depend on the particular member.

Abstract:We associate lattices to the sets of unions and intersections of left and right quotients of a regular language. For both unions and intersections, we show that the lattices we produce using left and right quotients are dual to each other. We also give necessary and sufficient conditions for these lattices to have maximal possible complexity.

Abstract:Let D be an F -central division algebra. In this paper, we investigated the exponent of the group G(D)=D*/NrdD(D*)D′ , where D* is the group of units of D , NrdD(D*) is the image of D* under the reduced norm map and D′ is the commutator subgroup of D* . We show that if exp (G(D)) , then D and F satisfy strong conditions. In particular, we observe that if D is a sum cyclic algebras in Br(F) , then exp (G(D)) if and only if F is euclidean and D is a tensor product of an ordinary quaternion algebra and a division algebra of odd index.

Quasi-twilled associative algebras, deformation maps and their governing algebras

Abstract:A quasi-twilled associative algebra is an associative algebra $\mathbb{A}$ whose underlying vector space has a decomposition $\mathbb{A} = A \oplus B$ such that $B \subset \mathbb{A}$ is a subalgebra. In the first part of this paper, we give the Maurer-Cartan characterization and introduce the cohomology of a quasi-twilled associative algebra. In a quasi-twilled associative algebra $\mathbb{A}$, a linear map $D: A \rightarrow B$ is called a strong deformation map if $\mathrm{Gr}(D) \subset \mathbb{A}$ is a subalgebra. Such a map generalizes associative algebra homomorphisms, derivations, crossed homomorphisms and the associative analogue of modified {\sf r}-matrices. We introduce the cohomology of a strong deformation map $D$ unifying the cohomologies of all the operators mentioned above. We also define the governing algebra for the pair $(\mathbb{A}, D)$ to study simultaneous deformations of both $\mathbb{A}$ and $D$. On the other hand, a linear map $r: B \rightarrow A$ is called a weak deformation map if $\mathrm{Gr} (r) \subset \mathbb{A}$ is a subalgebra. Such a map generalizes relative Rota-Baxter operators of any weight, twisted Rota-Baxter operators, Reynolds operators, left-averaging operators and right-averaging operators. Here we define the cohomology and governing algebra of a weak deformation map $r$ (that unify the cohomologies of all the operators mentioned above) and also for the pair $(\mathbb{A}, r)$ that govern simultaneous deformations.

Abstract:A compatible associative algebra is a vector space equipped with two associative multiplication structures that interact in a certain natural way. This article presents the classification of these algebras with dimension less than four, as well as the classifications of their corresponding derivations, centroids, automorphisms, and quasi-centroids.
