Abstract:In this work we construct free Moufang loop in the variety generated by code loops. We apply this construction for study the code loops. Moreover, we define and determine all basic representations of code loops of rank 3 and 4.

Abstract:We want to discuss various applications of modular forms in topology. The starting point is elliptic genus and its generalizations. The main techniques are the Atiyah-Singer index theorem, the Atiyah-Bott-Segal-Singer Lefschetz fixed point formula, Kac-Moody Lie algebras, modular forms and theta-functions. Just as the representations theory of classical Lie groups has close connections with the Atiyah-Singer index formula as exposed in [A1], the representation theory of loop groups plays very important role in our study. One of the most important new features of loop group representations is the modular invariance of the Kac-Weyl character formula, which allows us to derive many interesting new results and to unify many important old results in topology. In this paper we will develope along this line. We hope that the other features of loop group representations, such as fusion rules and tensor category structure may also be applied to topology. See the discussions in §3. The contents of this paper is organized in the following way. In §1 we introduce elliptic genus by combining index theory and the representation theory of loop groups. The relation of the classical index theory with representation theory of classical Lie groups was discussed in [A1]. Here one finds that just replacing the classical Lie groups by their corresponding loop groups, we get the complete theory of elliptic genus, or more generally the index theory on loop space. Especially the Dirac operator and the Witten genus of loop space are derived more convincingly in this way. Then all of the other well-known properties of elliptic genus, such as functional equations, characterizations by rigidity and fibrations, can be easily obtained. Here we only pick some less well-known results to discuss, for example the expressions of the parameters in elliptic genera in terms of theta-functions. Different from the classical Lie group case, a new feature in our situation appears, the modular invariance which, by combining with index theory, is applied to obtain many new topological results. This is the content of §2. Most results in this section are special cases of more general results. For simplicity we only give the main ideas of the proofs. We make some geometric constructions in §3 to understand elliptic cohomology. The construction in §3.3 is motivated by the vertex operator algebra construction of the monstrous moonshine module. Abstract:We classify Moufang loops of order 64 and 81 up to isomorphism, using a linear algebraic approach to central loop extensions. In addition to the 267 groups of order 64, there are 4262 nonassociative Moufang loops of order 64. In addition to the $15$ groups of order $81$, there are $5$ nonassociative Moufang loops of order $81$, $2$ of which are commutative.

More precisely, we prove that the category\textbf {mod}-AF\text {\textbf {mod}-}A^Fof finite-dimensionalAFA^F-modules is equivalent to the subcategory of finite-dimensionalFF-stableAA-modules, and, whenAAis finite dimensional, we establish a bijection between the isoclasses of indecomposableAFA^F-modules and theFF-orbits of the isoclasses of indecomposableAA-modules. Finally, by taking Frobenius fixed points, we are able to count the number of indecomposable representations of a modulated quiver overFq{\mathbb {F}}_qwith a given dimension vector and to generalize Kac’s theorem for all modulated quivers and their associated Kac–Moody algebras defined by symmetrizable generalized Cartan matrices.
Refining the grading of irreducible Lie colour algebra representations

Abstract:We apply the loop module construction of <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1504.05114" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1504.05114">arXiv:1504.05114</a> in the context of Lie colour algebras. We construct a bijection between the equivalence classes of all finite-dimensional graded irreducible Lie colour algebra representations from the irreducible representations for Lie superalgebras. This bijection is obtained by applying the loop module construction iteratively to simple groups in the Jordan--Hölder decomposition of the grading group. Restricting to simple groups in this way greatly simplifies the construction. Despite the bijection between Lie colour algebra representations and Lie superalgebra representations, Lie colour algebras maintain a non-trivial representation theory distinct from that of Lie superalgebras. We demonstrate the applicability of the loop module construction to Lie colour algebras in two examples: a Hilbert space for a quantum mechanical model and representations of a colour version of $ \mathfrak{sl}_2 $.

Abstract:Loop torsors over Laurent polynomial rings in characteristic 0 were originally introduced in relation to infinite dimensional Lie theory. Applications to other areas require a theory that can yields results in positive characteristic, and for group schemes that are not of finite type. The relation between loop and so-called toral torsors, is one of the central questions in the area. The present paper addresses this question in full generality.

Creation of X-ray cavities in galaxy clusters with cosmic rays

Abstract:We describe how AGN-produced cosmic rays form large X-ray cavities and radio lobes in the hot diffuse gas in galaxy groups and clusters. Cosmic rays are assumed to be produced in a small shocked region near the cavity center, such as at the working surface of a radio jet. The coupled equations for gasdynamics and cosmic ray diffusion are solved with various assumptions about the diffusion coefficient. To form large, long-lived cavities similar to those observed, the diffusion coefficient must not exceed kappa = 10^28 cm^2/s in the hot gas, very similar to values required in models of cosmic ray diffusion in the Milky Way. When kappa does not exceed 10^28, cosmic rays are confined within the cavities for times comparable to the cavity buoyancy time, as implied by observations of X-ray cavities and their radio synchrotron emission. Collisions of proton cosmic rays with thermal plasma nuclei followed by pion decay can result in enhanced gamma ray emission from the cavity walls.

Abstract:We describe a large-scale project in applied automated deduction concerned with the following problem of considerable interest in loop theory: If $Q$ is a loop with commuting inner mappings, does it follow that $Q$ modulo its center is a group and $Q$ modulo its nucleus is an abelian group? This problem has been answered affirmatively in several varieties of loops. The solution usually involves sophisticated techniques of automated deduction, and the resulting derivations are very long, often with no higher-level human proofs available.

In this paper, all the finite-dimensional commutative Hopf algebras over the sub coalgebras of $k\circlearrowleft$ are given. Abstract:In this paper are defined cohomology-like groups that classify loop extensions satisfying a given identity in three variables for association identities, and in two variables for the case of commutativity. It is considered a large amount of identities. This groups generalize those defined in works of Nishigori [2] and of Jhonson and Leedham-Green [4]. It is computed the number of metacyclic extensions for trivial action of the quotient on the kernel in one particular case for left Bol loops and in general for commutative loops.

Abstract:A filoop is a generic immersion of a circle in a closed oriented surface, whose complement is a disjoint union of discs, considered up to orientation preserving diffeomorphisms. It gives rise to a chord diagram C which has an interlace graph G, called a chordiagraph. For a graph G with even degrees, we compute a quantity mg(G) which yields, for every chord diagram $C$ with interlace graph G, the minimal genus of filoops with chord diagram C. If mg(G)=0 then C admits exactly two framings of genus 0, corresponding to spheriloops. After recalling the Cunningham factorisation of connected graphs, we describe a canonical factorisation of filoops into spheric sums followed by toric sums, for which the genus is additive. This is analogous to the factorisation of compact connected 3-manifolds along spheres and tori. We describe unambiguous context-sensitive grammars generating the set of all graphs and with mg(G)=0 and deduce stability properties with respect to spheric and toric factorisations. Similar results hold for chordiagraphs with mg(G) = 0 and their corresponding spheriloops.

Abstract:In his Inventiones paper, Ziller (Invent. Math: 1-22, 1977) computed the integral homology as a graded abelian group of the free loop space of compact, globally symmetric spaces of rank 1. Chas and Sullivan (String Topology, 1999)showed that the homology of the free loop space of a compact closed orientable manifold can be equipped with a loop product and a BV-operator making it a Batalin-Vilkovisky algebra. Cohen, Jones and Yan (The loop homology algebra of spheres and projective spaces, 2004) developed a spectral sequence which converges to the loop homology as a spectral sequence of algebras. They computed the algebra structure of the loop homology of spheres and complex projective spaces by using Ziller's results and the method of Brown-Shih (Ann. of Math. 69:223-246, 1959, Publ. Math. Inst. Hautes Études Sci. 3: 93-176, 1962). In this note we compute the loop homology algebra by using only spectral sequences and the technique of universal examples. We therefore not only obtain Zillers' and Brown-Shihs' results in an elementary way, we also replace the roundabout computations of Cohen, Jones and Yan (The loop homology algebra of spheres and projective spaces, 2004) making them independent of Ziller's and Brown-Shihs' work. Moreover we offer an elementary technique which we expect can easily be generalized and applied to a wider family of spaces, not only the globally symmetric ones.

Abstract:We define a class of monoidal categories whose morphisms are diagrams, and which are enhancements and generalisations of the Brauer category obtained by adjoining infinitesimal braids, "coupons" and poles. Properties of these categories are explored, particularly diagrammatic equations. We construct functors from certain of them to categories of representations of Lie algebras and superalgebras. Applications include a diagrammatic construction of the centre of the universal enveloping superalgebra and certain "characteristic identities", as well as an analysis of certain tensor representations. We show how classical diagram categories arising in invariant theory are special cases of our constructions, placing them in a single unified framework.

Abstract:Effective codescent morphisms of $n$-quasigroups and of $n$-loops are characterized. To this end, it is proved that, for any $n\geq 1$, every codescent morphism of $n$-quasigroups (resp. $n$-loops) is effective. This statement generalizes our earlier results on qusigroups and loops. Moreover, it is shown that the elements of the amalgamated free products of $n$-quasigroups (resp. $n$-loops) have unique normal forms, and that the varieties of $n$-quasigroups and $n$-loops satisfy the strong amalgamation property. The latter two statements generalize the corresponding old results on quasigroups and loops by Evans.

Abstract:Twisted Lie algebroid cohomologies, i.e. with values in representations, are shown to be Lie algebroid homotopy-invariant. Several important classes of examples are discussed. As an application, a generalized version of the Poincaré lemma is given in the transitive case. Together with the Mayer- Vietoris theorem, which holds in this more general context as well, this leads to a Künneth formula for the cohomologies of Lie algebroids with values in representations.

Abstract:For each representative of a bordism class in the free loop space of a manifold, we associate a moduli space of finite length Floer cylinders in the cotangent bundle. The left end of the Floer cylinder is required to be a lift of one of the loops in , and the right end is required to lie on the zero section. Under certain assumptions on the Hamiltonian functions, the length of the Floer cylinder is a smooth proper function, and evaluating the level sets at the right end produces a family of loops cobordant to . The argument produces arbitrarily long Floer cylinders with certain properties. We apply this to prove an existence result for 1-periodic orbits of certain Hamiltonian systems in cotangent bundles, and also to estimate the relative Gromov width of starshaped domains in certain cotangent bundles. The moduli space is similar to moduli spaces considered in Abouzaid (J Symp Geom 10(1):27–79, 2012), Abbondandolo and Figalli (J Differ Equ 234:626–653, 2007) and Abbondandolo and Schwarz (Geom Topol 14:1569–1722, 2010) for Tonelli Hamiltonians. The Hamiltonians we consider are not Tonelli, but rather of "contact-type" in the symplectization end.

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be the derived subalgebra of a Kac-Moody Lie algebra of finite type or affine type, $\mu$ a diagram automorphism of $\mathfrak{g}$ and $L(\mathfrak{g},\mu)$ the loop algebra of $\mathfrak{g}$ associated to $\mu$. In this paper, by using the vertex algebra technique, we provide a general construction of current type presentations for the universal central extension $\widehat{\mathfrak{g}}[\mu]$ of $L(\mathfrak{g},\mu)$. The construction contains the classical limit of Drinfeld's new realization for (twisted and untwisted) quantum affine algebras ([Dr]) and the Moody-Rao-Yokonuma presentation for toroidal Lie algebras ([MRY]) as special examples. As an application, when $\mathfrak{g}$ is of simply-laced type, we prove that the classical limit of the $\mu$-twisted quantum affinization of the quantum Kac-Moody algebra associated to $\mathfrak{g}$ introduced in [CJKT1] is the universal enveloping algebra of $\widehat{\mathfrak{g}}[\mu]$.
