Abstract:Rate for the X(3872) --> J/psi pi pi pi decay is studied by assuming that it proceeds as X(3872) --> J/psi omega --> J/psi pi rho --> J/psi pi pi pi. The result is compared with the X(3872) --> J/psi pi pi decay.

Abstract:We study the rho and omega meson contribution to the radiative decays X(3872) -> J=psi pi gamma and X(3872) -> J=psi pi pi gamma. The X(3872) -> J=psi pi gamma is dominated by the omega meson. As for the X(3872) -> J=psi pi pi gamma , the contributions of the cascade decays through the rho and omega mesons are strongly suppressed with respect to the diagrams which proceed either through the psi(2S) or the three body decay of rho. The branching ratios of X(3872) -> J=psi pi gamma and X(3872) -> J=psi pi pi gamma are (8.10+3.50 -2.88 ) x 10-3 and (2.38 +/- 1.06)% , which may be accessible by the BESIII and LHCb collaborations. Especially, the X(3872) -> J=psi pi gamma and X(3872) -> J=psi pi+pi-gamma decays can be employed to extract the couplings gX psi omega and gX psi rho , which probe the isoscalar and isovector components of the X(3872) wave function, respectively.

Abstract:In this paper, the structure of the wide resonance theta (1720) produced in J/psi radiative decays is studied by using the moment analysis. Since the f2'(1525) and theta(1720) resonances overlap in this mass region, two three-state coupling structure modes 2++ (f2'(1525)) + 0++ + 0++ and 2++(f2'(1525)) + 0++ + 2++ are discussed. This is helpful to make clear the structure of the wide resonance theta(1720), determine their masses, widths, spins and other important properties of the two resonance states, G(1590) and f2(1720).

Abstract:In this paper the structure of the theta(1720) wide resonance produced in J/psi hadronic decays is studied by using the generalized moment analysis. Since the production yield of the f2'(1525) is very small, we may neglect the influence of the f2'(1525) is larger we must consider the coherence effects of the f2'(1525) for the process J/psi --> omegatheta(1720). Whereas the production yield of the f2'(1525) is larger we must consider the coherence effects of the f2'(1525) for the process J/psi --> phitheta(1720). From the studies of the above two processes and the corresponding J/psi radiative decay process we are able to understand the structure of the theta(1720) wide resonance better.

Radiative decays of X(3872) discriminate between the molecular and compact interpretations

Abstract:Radiative decays X --> psi(1S) + gamma and X --> psi(2S) + gamma might be expected to have a ratio of branching fractions following the phase space volumes ratio. However data suggest the opposite, indicating a value for R=B(X --> psi^prime + gamma) / B(X --> psi +gamma) consistently larger than one. In this paper we present a calculation of R for both a compact Born-Oppenheimer cc-bar q-qbar state and a DD^* molecule. In the former case R~1 or larger is found, a value to be confronted with forthcoming high statistics data analyses. In the molecular picture, with D and D^* mesons described by the universal wave function used by Voloshin, Braaten and Kusunoki, we find that R would be of order 10^-2. A more precise experimental measure would be extremely helpful in clarifying the true nature of the X(3872).

Decays of the X(3872) and the Chi(C1)(2p) Charmonium State

Abstract:We reexamine the rescattering mechanism for the X(3872), as a candidate for the 2P charmonium state chi(c1)(2P), decaying to J/ psi rho(omega) through exchanging D-(*()) mesons between intermediate states D((D) over bar) and (D) over bar*(D*). We evaluate the dispersive part, as well as the absorptive one, of the rescattering amplitude and find that the contribution from the dispersive part is dominant even when X(3872) lies above the threshold of the neutral channel th(n) = m(D)(0) + m(D*0). We predict R-rho/omega similar or equal to 1 for the m(X) region scanned by experiments. Meanwhile, we also estimate the rate of X -> D-0 <(D)over(0) bar >pi(0). Our results favor a charmonium interpretation of X(3872) when it lies slightly below the threshold of D-0(D) over bar*(0). Furthermore, we evaluated the width of X -> J/psi rho with the help of a phenomenological effective coupling constant g(X), and find the total width of X(3872) to be in the range of 1-2 MeV.

Abstract:In this work, we calculate the decay rates of the OZI-forbidden processes J/psi((sic)) -> pi pi, rho pi at the order of the leading-twist distribution amplitude. The process of J/psi((sic)) -> pi(+)pi(-) violates isospin conservation and the amplitude is explicitly proportional to the isospin violation factor m(u) - m(d), our numerical results on their decay rates are consistent with the data. The process J/psi((sic)) -> rho pi violates the hadronic helicity conservation and should be suppressed, as indicated in literature, its decay rate can only be proportional to m(q)(2) at the order of leading twist. Our theoretical evaluation confirms this statement that the theoretical evaluation on Gamma(J/psi((sic)) -> rho pi) is almost one order smaller than the data unless the model parameters take certain extreme values. It may imply that the sizable branching ratio of J/psi((sic)) -> rho pi should be explained by either higher twist contributions or other mechanisms. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
Three Photon Decay of J/ψ from Lattice QCD

Abstract:The three-photon decay rate of J/psi is studied using two N-f = 2 twisted-mass gauge ensembles with lattice spacings a similar or equal to 0.085 and 0.067 fm. Using a new method, only the correlation functions directly related to the physical decay width are computed with all polarizations of the initial and final states summed over. The final result can be obtained after a naive extrapolation to the continuum limit. To be specific, the result for such rare decay is given as B(J/psi -> 3 gamma) = (2.13 +/- 0.14 +/- 0.29) x 10(-)(5), where the first error is statistical and the second is an estimate of the systematics. We also propose a method to analyze the Dalitz plot of the corresponding process based on the lattice data which can provide direct information for the relevant experiments.

Abstract:J/Psi-nuclear bound state energies are calculated for a range of nuclei by solving the Proca (Klein-Gordon) equation. Critical input for the calculations, namely the medium-modified D and D* meson masses, as well as the nucleon density distributions in nuclei, are obtained from the quark-meson coupling model. The attractive potential originates from the D and D* meson loops in the J/Psi self-energy in the nuclear medium. It appears that J/Psi-nuclear bound states should produce a clear experimental signature provided that the J/Psi meson is produced in recoilless kinematics.

Abstract:Recent BESIII data on radiative $J/\psi$ decays from $\sim 10^{10}$ $J/\psi$ samples should significantly advance our understanding of the controversial nature of $\eta(1405/1475)$. This motivates us to develop a three-body unitary coupled-channel model for radiative $J/\psi$ decays to three-meson final states of any partial wave ($J^{PC}$). Basic building blocks of the model are bare resonance states such as $\eta(1405/1475)$ and $f_1(1420)$, and $\pi K$, $K\bar{K}$, and $\pi\eta$ two-body interactions that generate resonances such as $K^*(892)$, $K^*_0(700)$, and $a_0(980)$. This model reasonably fits $K_SK_S\pi^0$ Dalitz plot pseudo data generated from the BESIII's $J^{PC}=0^{-+}$ amplitude for $J/\psi\to\gamma K_SK_S\pi^0$. The experimental branching ratios of $\eta(1405/1475)\to\eta\pi\pi$ and $\eta(1405/1475)\to\gamma\rho$ relative to that of $\eta(1405/1475)\to K\bar{K}\pi$ are simultaneously fitted. Our $0^{-+}$ amplitude is analytically continued to find three poles, two of which correspond to $\eta(1405)$ on different Riemann sheets of the $K^*\bar{K}$ channel, and the third one for $\eta(1475)$. This is the first pole determination of $\eta(1405/1475)$ and, furthermore, the first-ever pole determination from analyzing experimental Dalitz plot distributions with a manifestly three-body unitary coupled-channel framework. Process-dependent $\eta\pi\pi$, $\gamma\pi^+\pi^-$, and $\pi\pi\pi$ lineshapes of $J/\psi\to\gamma(0^{-+})\to \gamma(\eta\pi\pi)$, $\gamma(\gamma\rho)$, and $\gamma(\pi\pi\pi)$ are predicted, and are in reasonable agreement with data. A triangle singularity is shown to play a crucial role to cause the large isospin violation of $J/\psi\to\gamma(\pi\pi\pi)$.

Abstract:Using a sample of 3 X 10(6) psi(2S) decays recorded by the CLEO detector, we study three-body decays of the X(c)0, X-c1, and X-c2 produced in radiative decays of the psi(2S). We consider the final states pi(+) pi(-) eta, K+ K- eta pp eta, pi(+) pi(-) eta', K+ K- pi(0), pp pi(0), pi(+) K- K-S(0) and K+ p Lambda , measuring branching fractions or placing upper limits. For X-c1 -> pi(+) pi(-) eta, K+ K- pi(0), and pi(+) K- K-S(0) our observed samples are large enough to indicate the largest contributions to the substructure.

Abstract:Based on 58 x 10(6) J/psi events collected by BESII, the decay J/psi -> (KKS)-K-+/-pi(-/+)pi(0) is studied. In the invariant mass spectrum recoiling against the charged K*(892)(+/-), the charged kappa particle is found as a low mass enhancement. If a Breit-Wigner function of constant width is used to parameterize the kappa, its pole locates at (849 +/- 77(-14)(+18)) - i(256 +/- 40(-22)(+46)) MeV/c(2). Also in this channel, the decay J/psi -> K*(892)K+*(892)- is observed for the first time. Its branching ratio is (1.00 +/- 0.19(-0.32)(+0.11)) x 10(-3). (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
Investigate the strong coupling of $g_{X J/ψϕ}$ in $X(4500) \to J/ψϕ$ by using the three-point sum rules and the light-cone sum rules

Abstract:We assign $X(4500)$ as a D-wave tetraquark state and study the decay of $X(4500)$ $\to$ $J/\psi \phi$. The mass and the decay constant of $X(4500)$ are calculated by using the SVZ sum rules. For the decay width of $X(4500)$ $\to$ $J/\psi \phi$, we present the calculation within the framework of both the three-point sum rules and the light-cone sum rules. The strong coupling $g_{X J/\psi \phi}$ is obtained by considering the soft-meson approximation when we use the light-cone sum rules calculation. Both calculations show that the decay of $X(4500)$ $\to$ $J/\psi\phi$ close to the total width of $X(4500)$ if we assign $X$(4500) as a D-wave tetraquark. In this paper, only the hidden-charm decay channel is considered. With these results and those from the open-charm decay channel, we are able to give a more rational conclusion when comparing with the total width of $X(4500)$. In the future, experiments will be more helpful in determining whether or not this structure of $X(4500)$ is appropriate.

Abstract:The decays of J/{psi}{yields}{omega}KK{pi} and J/{psi}{yields}{phi}KK{pi} are studied using 5.8x10{sup 7} J/{psi} events collected with the Beijing Spectrometer (BESII) at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider (BEPC). The K{sub S}{sup 0}K{sup {+-}}{pi}{sup {+-}} and K{sup +}K{sup -}{pi}{sup 0} systems, produced in J/{psi}{yields}{omega}KK{pi}, have enhancements in the invariant mass distributions at around 1.44 GeV/c{sup 2}. However, there is no evidence for mass enhancements in the KK{pi} system in J/{psi}{yields}{phi}KK{pi}. The branching fractions of J/{psi}{yields}{omega}K{sub S}{sup 0}K{sup {+-}}{pi}{sup {+-}}, {phi}K{sub S}{sup 0}K{sup {+-}}{pi}{sup {+-}}, {omega}K*K+c.c., and {phi}K*K+c.c. are obtained, and the J/{psi}{yields}{eta}K{sub S}{sup 0}K{sup {+-}}{pi}{sup {+-}} branching fraction is measured for the first time.
Triangle singularity in the $J/ψ\to γ\bar{p} Δ$ decay

Abstract:In this work, we study the role of triangle singularity in the $J/\psi \to \gamma \bar{p} \Delta$ decay. We find that through a triangle mechanism, involving a triangle loop composed by $\omega$, $\pi$ and $p$, this decay may develop a triangle singularity and produce a visible peak in the invariant mass $M_{\gamma\Delta}$ around 1.73 GeV with a width of 0.02 GeV. Such a triangle mechanism may also cause significant spin effects on the final $\Delta$, which can be detected by measuring its spin density matrix elements. Our calculations show that the branching ratios due to the triangle mechanism is Br($J/\psi\to \gamma \bar p\Delta,\Delta\to \pi p$)=$1.058\times 10^{-6}$. Hopefully, this reaction can be investigated at BESIII and future experiments, e.g. Super Tau-Charm Facility, and the narrow width of the induced structure, the moving TS position and the distinct features of the spin density matrix elements of the $\Delta$ may serve as signals for the triangle singularity mechanism.

Abstract:Using psi(2S) --> pi(+)pi(-) J/psi events in a sample of 14.0 x 10(6) psi(2S) decays collected with the BES-II detector, a search for the decay of the J/psi to invisible final states is performed. No signal is found, and an upper limit at the 90% confidence level is determined to be 1.2 x 10(-2) for the ratio B(J/psi --> invisible)/B(J/psi-->mu(+)mu(-)). This is the first search for J/psi decays to invisible final states.

Abstract:The measurement of decay parameters is one of the important goals of particle physics experiments, and the measurement serves as a probe to search for evidence of CP violation in baryonic decays. The experimental results will aid in advancing existing theoretical research and establishing new experimental objectives. In this study, we formulate the asymmetric parameters that characterize parity violation, and then derive formulas for the measurement of CP violation. The formulae for the joint angular distribution of the full decay chain as well as the polarization observable of Xi(0), (Xi) over bar (0), Lambda, and (Lambda) over bar are also provided for experiments. Lastly, we evaluated the sensitivity of two asymmetric parameters: alpha(Xi 0 ->Lambda pi 0) (abbreviated as alpha(Xi 0)) and alpha((Xi) over bar0 ->(Lambda) over bar gamma) (abbreviated as alpha((Xi) over bar0)) for future experimental measurements.

Abstract:We report the first observation of the decay J/psi -> 3 gamma. The signal has a statistical significance of 6 sigma and corresponds to a branching fraction of B(J/psi -> 3 gamma)=(1.2 +/- 0.3 +/- 0.2)x10(-5), in which the errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. The measurement uses psi(2S)->pi(+)pi(-)J/psi events acquired with the CLEO-c detector operating at the CESR e(+)e(-) collider.
