Abstract:Recent results on heavy flavor physics using data from the ATLAS and CMS detectors are presented. The searches for new physics signatures in CP violation of B0_s - anti(B0_s) mixing and in B0_d --> K*0 mu+ mu- decays are discussed. The bottomonium and open-b production results obtained from proton-proton collisions at LHC are shown. The results are based on data samples containing mu+ mu- pairs collected with the ATLAS or CMS detectors by their corresponding muon trigger systems.

Abstract:Heavy flavour physics provides excellent opportunities to indirectly search for new physics at very high energy scales and to study hadron properties for deep understanding of the strong interaction. The LHCb experiment has been playing a leading role in the study of heavy flavour physics since the start of the LHC operations about ten years ago, and made a range of high-precision measurements and unexpected discoveries, which may have far-reaching implications on the field of particle physics. This review highlights a selection of the most influential physics results on CP violation, rare decays, and heavy flavour production and spectroscopy obtained by LHCb using the data collected during the first two operation periods of the LHC. The upgrade plan of LHCb and the physics prospects are also briefly discussed.

Abstract:We present recent CDF measurements of mass, lifetime and CP violation properties of B hadrons. The analyzes presented in this paper use up to 2.8/fb of data. CDF has already accumulated close to 5/fb of data which promises significant improvements of these analyzes in the near future.

Abstract:Recent measurements have revealed a number of intriguing deviations from the Standard Model predictions in $B$ meson decays, in particular in observables testing lepton flavour universality. We review their experimental status and theoretical description in terms of effective Hamiltonians. We also discuss possible new physics interpretations in terms of simplified models and summarise their status in view of the stringent constraints from flavour physics and high-$p_T$ collider searches.

Abstract:We review one-particle inclusive production of heavy-flavoured hadrons in a framework which resums the large collinear logarithms through the evolution of the FFs and PDFs and retains the full dependence on the heavy-quark mass without additional theoretical assumptions. We focus on presenting results for the inclusive cross section for the production of charmed mesons in p anti-p collisions and the comparison with CDF data from the Tevatron as well as on inclusive B-meson production and comparison with recent CDF data. The third topic is the production of D^* mesons in photoproduction and comparison with recent H1 data from HERA.

Abstract:The discovery of hadronic states beyond the conventional two-quark meson and three-quark baryon picture in the last two decades is one of the most amazing accomplishments in fundamental physics research. We review the experimental progress on the study of the exotic states (also known as the XYZ particles) beyond the conventional quark model. We give a general review and then focus on the lineshape measurement of the X(3872), observation of new decay modes of the Y(4230) and new vector charmoniumlike states Y(4500) and Y(4790), evidence for the neutral isospin partners of the charged charmoniumlike $Z_{cs}$ states, discoveries of the tetraquark state candidates with four different flavours or two-pairs of charm-anticharm quarks and the pentaquark states.

Abstract:The measurement of heavy-flavour production allows us to characterise the properties of the deconfined medium created in Pb-Pb collisions at LHC energies. pp collisions serve as a reference for Pb-Pb studies, and p-Pb collisions provide information on initial and/or final state effects related to cold nuclear matter. We report on open heavy-flavour as well as quarkonium production in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV. The experimental data are compared with results from Pb-Pb collisions as well as with various theoretical predictions.

Abstract:We report on the recent study of possible intrinsic charm component of proton Parton Distribution Function base on the CT14 Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order.We also report on the study of uncertainties of Higgs boson and t t production at the LHC center-of-mass energy 13 TeV from PDF associate with the strong coupling α s (M z ).Uncertainties that are estimated by the Hessian method and the Lagrange Multiplier method are in a good agreement.

Abstract:The study of angular correlations of heavy-flavor particles in hadronic collisions can provide crucial insight into the heavy quark production, showering, and hadronization processes. The comparison with model predictions allows us to discriminate among different approaches for heavy quark production and hadronization, as well as different treatments of the underlying event employed by the models to reproduce correlation observables. In ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions, where a deconfined state of matter, the quark--gluon plasma (QGP), is created, heavy-flavor correlations can shed light on the modification of the heavy quark fragmentation due to the interaction between charm and beauty quarks with the QGP constituents, as well as characterize their energy loss processes while traversing the medium. Insight into the possible emergence of collective-like mechanisms in smaller systems, resembling those observed in heavy-ion collisions, can also be obtained by performing correlation studies in high-multiplicity proton--proton and proton--nucleus collisions. In this review, the most recent and relevant measurements of heavy-flavor correlations performed in all collision systems at the LHC and RHIC will be presented, and the new understandings that they provide will be discussed.

Abstract:Precise prediction of the heavy hadrons decay amplitudes is of great importance in the determination of the parameters of KM matrix and searching for new physics signals beyond the standard model. Due to the high accuracy of the B meson decay constants, the structure dependent QED corrections should be taken into account for B -> mu(+)mu(-) decays due to the power enhancement, but this effect is numerically negligible for B -> tau(+)tau(-). The radiative leptonic decays and double radiative decays are the best channels to determine the B meson distribution amplitudes, but one should systematically deal with the power corrections to reduce the uncertainty. The heavy-to-light form factors is one of the most important nonperturbative quantities, and an improved method to improve the theoretical accuracy is to fit the form factors using combined data from Lattice and light-cone sum rules which works well at large recoil region. The power suppressed weak annihilation contribution is phenomenologically important in the nonleptonic decays, and the previously neglected hard-collinear gluon exchange diagrams have the potential to cancel the endpoint singularity arising from the hard gluon exchange. Therefore, more endeavors need to be paid to this topic.

Abstract:Open and hidden heavy-flavor physics in high-energy nuclear collisions are entering a new and exciting stage towards reaching a clearer understanding of the new experimental results with the possibility to link them directly to the advancement in lattice Quantum Chromo-Dynamics (QCD). Recent results from experiments and theoretical developments regarding open and hidden heavy-flavor dynamics have been debated at the Lorentz Workshop Tomography of the Quark-Gluon Plasma with Heavy Quarks, which was held in October 2016 in Leiden, The Netherlands. In this contribution, we summarize identified common understandings and developed strategies for the upcoming five years, which aim at achieving a profound knowledge of the dynamical properties of the quark-gluon plasma.
