Abstract:In this paper we mainly consider the following evolution inclusion with Clarke subdifferential: (*){-x@?(t)@?@?"c@f(x(t))+G(t,x(t))x(0)=x"0 where @?"c is the Clarke subdifferential and t@?I=[0,T] is a nonempty, bounded closed interval in R"+=[0,+~); H is a separable Hilbert space; x"0@?D(@?"c@f)={x@?H:@?"c@f(x)@f}. First, we introduce some hypotheses on @f, under which we prove that there is a unique solution of (*) when G is a single function. Based on this result, we obtain an existence theorem for G being a u.s.c. or l.s.c multifunction. Then the existence of an extremal solution of (*) and the relaxation theorem are studied. In the end, we present two examples of PDE to illustrate the application of our results.

Abstract:We introduce a mathematical model in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ for evolution equations with modified generalized Hartree nonlinearity given by $S_{\alpha,p,q}(u)=I_{\alpha}(|u|^{p+q}).$ One can see that this nonlinearity is not integrable due to the boundedness property of Riesz potential. In other words, we cannot deal with the Cauchy problem of semi-linear evolution equations with $S_{\alpha,p,q}(u)$ and $L^{1}$-initial velocity.

Functional Analysis and Its Applications

Abstract:We develop a differential-algebraic theory of the Mumford dynamical system. In the framework of this theory, we introduce the -recursion, which defines a sequence of functions given the first function of this sequence and a sequence of parameters . The general solution of the -recursion is shown to give a solution for the parametric graded Korteweg–de Vries hierarchy. We prove that all solutions of the Mumford dynamical -system are determined by the -recursion under the condition , which is equivalent to an ordinary nonlinear differential equation of order for the function . Reduction of the -system of Mumford to the Buchstaber–Enolskii–Leykin dynamical system is described explicitly, and its explicit -parameter solution in hyperelliptic Klein functions is presented.

'Riemann Equations' in Bidifferential Calculus

Abstract:We consider equations that formally resemble a matrix Riemann (or Hopf) equation in the framework of bidifferential calculus. With different choices of a first-order bidifferential calculus, we obtain a variety of equations, including a semi-discrete and a fully discrete version of the matrix Riemann equation. A corresponding universal solution-generating method then either yields a (continuous or discrete) Cole-Hopf transformation, or leaves us with the problem of solving Riemann equations (hence an application of the hodograph method). If the bidifferential calculus extends to second order, solutions of a system of `Riemann equations' are also solutions of an equation that arises, on the universal level of bidifferential calculus, as an integrability condition. Depending on the choice of bidifferential calculus, the latter can represent a number of prominent integrable equations, like self-dual Yang-Mills, as well as matrix versions of the two-dimensional Toda lattice, Hirota's bilinear difference equation, (2+1)-dimensional NLS, KP and Davey-Stewartson equations. For all of them, a recent (non-isospectral) binary Darboux transformation result in bidifferential calculus applies, which can be specialized to generate solutions of the associated `Riemann equations'. For the latter, we clarify the relation between these specialized binary Darboux transformations and the aforementioned solution-generating method. From (arbitrary size) matrix versions of the `Riemann equations' associated with an integrable equation, possessing a bidifferential calculus formulation, multi-soliton-type solutions of the latter can be generated. This includes `breaking' multi-soliton-type solutions of the self-dual Yang-Mills and the (2+1)-dimensional NLS equation, which are parametrized by solutions of Riemann equations.

Abstract:The main goal of this paper is to introduce the evolution equations for a timelike Hasimoto surface from its fundamental form coefficients in Minkowski 3-space E 1 3 . By utilizing the evolved quasi-curve (q-curve), we present and analyze three types of Hasimoto surfaces, attributed to the quasi-tangent, quasi-normal, and quasi-binormal vectors of the curve. Finally, we provide an illustrated example to strengthen our main results.

Abstract:We present a unified approach to holomorphic anomaly equations and some well-known quantum spectral curves. We develop a formalism of abstract quantum field theory based on the diagrammatics of the Deligne-Mumford moduli spaces $$ {\overline{\mathrm{\mathcal{M}}}}_{g,n} $$ and derive a quadratic recursion relation for the abstract free energies in terms of the edge-cutting operators. This abstract quantum field theory can be realized by various choices of a sequence of holomorphic functions or formal power series and suitable propagators, and the realized quantum field theory can be represented by formal Gaussian integrals. Various applications are given.

Abstract:We derive a system of equations which can be seen as an evolving surface version of the diffuse interface "Model H" of Hohenberg and Halperin (1977). We then consider the well-posedness for the corresponding (tangential) system when one prescribes the evolution of the surface. This well-posedness theory is considered for smooth potentials with polynomial growth, and a thermodynamically relevant singular potential - with some restrictions on initial data in the latter case.

Abstract:An isospectral problem and the associated hierarchy of nonlinear evolution equations is presented. As a reduction, a new generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation is obtained. It is shown that the hierarchy possesses bi-Hamiltonian structure and is integrable in Liouville sense. Moreover, the eigenvalue problem can be nonlinearized as a finite-dimensional completely integrable system under the Bargmann constraint between the potentials and the eigenvalues.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to studying a system of coupled nonlinear first order history-dependent evolution inclusions in the framework of evolution triples of spaces. The multivalued terms are of the Clarke subgradient or of the convex subdifferential form. Using a surjectivity result for multivalued maps and a fixed point argument for a history-dependent operator, we prove that the system has a unique solution. We conclude with two examples of an evolutionary differential variational-hemivariational inequality and of a dynamic frictional contact problem in mechanics, which illustrate the abstract results.

Abstract:This paper gives further regularity properties of the evolution family associated with a non-autonomous evolution equation \begin{equation*}\label{Abstract equation} \dot u(t)+A(t)u(t)=f(t),\ \ t\in[0,T],\ \ u(0)=u_0, \end{equation*} where $A(t),\ t\in [0,T],$ arise from non-autonomous sesquilinear forms $\mathfrak a(t,\cdot,\cdot)$ on a Hilbert space $H$ with constant domain $V\subset H.$ Results on norm continuity, compactness and results on the \textit{Gibbs} character of the evolution family are established. The abstract results are applied to the Laplacian operator with time dependent Robin boundary conditions.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with a parabolic evolution equation of the form A(ut)+B(u)=f , settled in a smooth bounded domain of Rd , d≥1 , and complemented with the initial conditions and with (for simplicity) homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. Here, −B stands for a diffusion operator, possibly nonlinear, which may range in a very wide class, including the Laplacian, the m ‐Laplacian for suitable m∈(1,∞) , the "variable‐exponent" m(x) ‐Laplacian, or even some fractional order operators. The operator A is assumed to be in the form [A(v)](x,t)=α(x,v(x,t)) with α being measurable in x and maximal monotone in v . The main results are devoted to proving existence of weak solutions for a wide class of functions α that extends the setting considered in previous results related to the variable exponent case where α(x,v)=|v(x)|p(x)−2v(x) . To this end, a theory of subdifferential operators will be established in Musielak–Orlicz spaces satisfying structure conditions of the so‐called Δ2 ‐type, and a framework for approximating maximal monotone operators acting in that class of spaces will also be developed. Such a theory is then applied to provide an existence result for a specific equation, but it may have an independent interest in itself. Finally, the existence result is illustrated by presenting a number of specific equations (and, correspondingly, of operators A , B ) to which the result can be applied.

Holomorphic anomaly equations for the Hilbert scheme of points of a K3 surface

Abstract:We conjecture that the generating series of Gromov-Witten invariants of the Hilbert schemes of $n$ points on a K3 surface are quasi-Jacobi forms and satisfy a holomorphic anomaly equation. We prove the conjecture in genus $0$ and for at most $3$ markings - for all Hilbert schemes and for arbitrary curve classes. In particular, for fixed $n$, the reduced quantum cohomologies of all hyperkähler varieties of $K3^{[n]}$-type are determined up to finitely many coefficients. As an application we show that the generating series of $2$-point Gromov-Witten classes are vector-valued Jacobi forms of weight $-10$, and that the fiberwise Donaldson-Thomas partition functions of an order two CHL Calabi-Yau threefold are Jacobi forms.

Abstract:We introduce an integrable Hamiltonian system which Lax deforms the Dirac operator D=d+d* on a finite simple graph or compact Riemannian manifold. We show that the nonlinear isospectral deformation always leads to an expansion of the original space, featuring a fast inflationary start. The nonlinear evolution leaves the Laplacian L=D^2 invariant so that linear Schroedinger or wave dynamics is not affected. The expansion has the following effects: a complex structure can develop and the nonlinear quantum mechanics asymptotically becomes the linear relativistic Dirac wave equation u''=Lu. While the later is not aware of the expansion of space and does not see the emerged complex structure, nor the larger non-commutative geometric setup, the nonlinear flow is affected by it. The natural Noether symmetries of quantum mechanics introduced here force to consider space as part of a larger complex geometry. The nonlinear evolution equation is a symmetry of quantum mechanics which still features super-symmetry, but it becomes clear why it is invisible: while the McKean-Singer formulas str(exp(i D(t) t)) = str(exp(-L t))=chi(G) still hold, the super-partners f,Df are orthogonal only at t=0 and become parallel or anti-parallel for |t| to infinity.

Abstract:Let H be a vector-valued holomorphic reproducing kernel function space and H0n be the subspace of functions vanishing to order n on an analytic hyper-surface. We determine unitary equivalence of the quotient space H⊖H0n by covariant derivatives of the curvature on the vector bundle associated to the reproducing kernel of H. The proof is a combination of some geometric and combinatorial results. In particular, we show that on a holomorphic Hermitian vector bundle, matrix representations for covariant derivatives of its curvature satisfy a recursive formula, which is of independent interest.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of singular nonlinear first order partial differential equations $t(\partial u/\partial t)=F(t,x,u, \partial u/\partial x)$ with $(t,x) \in \mathbb{R} \times \mathbb{C}$ under the assumption that $F(t,x,z_1,z_2)$ is a function which is continuous in $t$ and holomorphic in the other variables. Under suitable conditions, we determine all the solutions of this equation in a neighborhood of the origin.

Abstract:We study the connection between conservation laws of evolution equation and first inte-grals of equations for travelling wave. The connection is obtained based on techniques of differentialalgebra. Applying the result to Burgers equation and Burgers-KdV equation, we prove that both e-quations have only one conservation law. These results on PDE are obtained using the ODE′s approach.

Set-Valued and Variational Analysis

Abstract:The aim of the present paper is to state and discuss the well-posedness of a new evolution inclusion governed by the subdifferential of a function perturbed both by a Carathéodory mapping and by an integral forcing term. The integrand of the forcing term depends on two time-variables. We prove the existence and uniqueness of local and global solution, assuming that is primal lower regular and the perturbation terms satisfy some standard conditions. The results are applied to the study of non-regular electrical circuits with tranmission line, Zener diode and inductor. A second application is concerned with semilinear heat equation with memory. These applications illustrate an additional novelty of our paper.
