Abstract:We introduce new genuine zetas. There are two types, i.e., the pure non- abelian zetas defined using semi-stable bundles, and the group zetas defined for reductive groups. Basic properties such as rationality and functional equation are obtained. Moreover, conjectures on their zeros and uniformity are given.

Abstract:New local and global non-abelian zeta functions for elliptic curves are studied using certain refined Brill-Noether loci in moduli spaces of semi-stable bundles. Examples of these zeta functions and a justification of using only semi-stable bundles are given too. We end this paper with an appendix on the so-called Weierstrass Groups for general curves, which is motivated by a construction of Euler systems from torsion points (of elliptic curves).

Abstract:We compute the equivariant zeta function for bundles over infinite graphs and for infinite covers. In particular, we give a ``transfer formula'' for the zeta function of infinite graph covers. Also, when the infinite cover is given as a limit of finite covers, we give a formula for the limit of the zeta functions.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a geometrically stylized arithmetic cohomology for number fields. Based on such a cohomology, we define and study new yet genuine non-abelian zeta functions for number fields, using an intersection stability.

Abstract:Let G be a split connected reductive group over and let be the projective line over . Firstly, we give an explicit formula for the number of -rational points of generalized Steinberg varieties of G . Secondly, for each principal G -bundle over , we give an explicit formula counting the number of triples consisting of parabolic structures at 0 and and a compatible nilpotent section of the associated adjoint bundle. In the case of we calculate a generating function of such volumes re-deriving a result of Mellit.

We prove that a virtual count of curves in the stack is governed by χy(Hilb(A)τ)$$\chi _{y}(\text {Hilb}(A)^{\tau })$$. Moreover, the coefficients of ZA,τ$$Z_{A, \tau }$$ are true (weighted) counts of rational curves, consistent with hyperelliptic counts of Bryan, Oberdieck, Pandharipande, and Yin.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, we exhibit two unital, separable, nuclear ‐algebras of stable rank one and real rank zero with the same ordered scaled total K‐theory, but they are not isomorphic with each other, which forms a counterexample to the Elliott Classification Conjecture for real rank zero setting. Thus, we introduce an additional normal condition and give a classification result in terms of the total K‐theory. For the general setting, with a new invariant, the total Cuntz semigroup [2], we classify a large class of ‐algebras obtained from extensions. The total Cuntz semigroup, which distinguishes the algebras of our counterexample, could possibly classify all the ‐algebras of stable rank one and real rank zero.

Abstract:The exceptional group $G_2$ has two maximal parabolic subgroups $P_{long}$, $P_{short}$ corresponding to the so-called long root and short root. In this paper, the second author introduces two zeta functions associated to $(G_2,P_{long})$ and $(G_2,P_{short})$ respectively, and the first author proves that these zetas satisfy the Riemann Hypothesis.

Abstract:We develop a systematic and efficient method of counting single-trace and multi-trace BPS operators with two supercharges, for world-volume gauge theories of N D-brane probes for both N ->infinity and finite N. The techniques are applicable to generic singularities, orbifold, toric, non-toric, complete intersections, et cetera, even to geometries whose precise field theory duals are not yet known. The so-called " plethystic exponential " provides a simple bridge between (1) the defining equation of the Calabi-Yau, (2) the generating function of single-trace BPS operators and (3) the generating function of multitrace operators. Mathematically, fascinating and intricate inter-relations between gauge theory, algebraic geometry, combinatorics and number theory exhibit themselves in the form of plethystics and syzygies.

Abstract:Jin proved that whenever A and B are sets of positive upper density in Z, A+B is piecewise syndetic. Jin's theorem was subsequently generalized by Jin and Keisler to a certain family of abelian groups, which in particular contains Zd. Answering a question of Jin and Keisler, we show that this result can be extended to countable amenable groups. Moreover we establish that such sumsets (or — depending on the notation — “product sets”) are piecewise Bohr, a result which for G=Z was proved by Bergelson, Furstenberg and Weiss. In the case of an abelian group G, we show that a set is piecewise Bohr if and only if it contains a sumset of two sets of positive upper Banach density.

Abstract:We count the 𝔽 q -rational points of GIT quotients of quiver representations with relations. We focus on two types of algebras – one is one-point extended from a quiver Q, and the other is the Dynkin A 2 tensored with Q. For both, we obtain explicit formulas. We study when they are polynomial-count. We follow the similar line as in the first paper but algebraic manipulations in Ringel-Hall algebra will be replaced by corresponding geometric constructions.

Abstract:Yuan and Zhang introduced arithmetic intersection numbers for adelic line bundles on quasi-projective varieties over a number field. Burgos and Kramer generalized this approach allowing more singular metrics at archimedean places. We introduce abstract divisorial spaces as a tool to generalize these arithmetic intersection numbers to the setting of a proper adelic base curve in the sense of Chen and Moriwaki. We also allow more singular metrics at non-archimedean places using relative mixed energy there as well.

Abstract:For a line bundle $L$ on a smooth projective surface $X$ and nonnegative integers $k_1, \ldots, k_N$, Okounkov \cite{Oko} introduced the reduced generating series $\big \langle {\rm ch}_{k_1}^{L} \cdots {\rm ch}_{k_N}^{L} \big \rangle'$ for the intersection numbers among the Chern characters of the tautological bundles over the Hilbert schemes of points on $X$ and the total Chern classes of the tangent bundles of these Hilbert schemes, and conjectured that they are multiple $q$-zeta values of weight at most $\sum_{i=1}^N (k_i + 2)$. The second-named author further conjectured in \cite{Qin2} that these reduced generating series are quasi-modular forms if the canonical divisor of $X$ is numerically trivial. In this paper, we verify these two conjectures for $\big \langle {\rm ch}_2^{L} \big \rangle'$. The main approaches are to apply the procedure laid out in \cite{QY} and to establish various identities for multiple $q$-zeta values and quasi-modular forms.

Abstract:We prove the generic exclusion of certain Shimura varieties of unitary and orthogonal types from the Torelli locus. The proof relies on a slope inequality on surface fibration due to G. Xiao, and the main result implies that certain Shimura varieties only meet the Torelli locus in dimension zero.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to the study of the Higgs bundle associated with the universal abelian variety over the good reduction of a Shimura curve of PEL type. Due to the endomorphism structure, the Higgs bundle decomposes into the direct sum of Higgs subbundles of rank two. They are basically divided into two type: uniformizing type and unitary type. As the first application we obtain the mass formula counting the number of geometric points of the degeneracy locus in the Newton polygon stratification. We show that each Higgs subbundle is Higgs semistable. Furthermore, for each Higgs subbundle of unitary type, either it is strongly semistable, or its Frobenius pull-back of a suitable power achieves the upper bound of the instability. We describe the Simpson-Ogus-Vologodsky correspondence for the Higgs subbundles in terms of the classical Cartier descent.

We prove a condition for the existence of flat bundles on the punctured two-sphere with prescribed holonomies around the punctures, involving Gromov-Witten invariants of generalized flag varieties. This generalizes the case of special unitary bundles described by S. Agnihotri and the second author and independently P. Belkale.
Higher level $q$-multiple zeta values with applications to quasimodular forms and partitions

Abstract:In recent years, the generalized sum-of-divisor functions of MacMahon have been unified into the algebraic framework of $q$-multiple zeta values. In particular, these results link partition theory, quasimodular forms, $q$-multiple zeta values, and quasi-shuffle algebras. In this paper, we complete this idea of unification for higher levels, demonstrating that any quasimodular form of weight $k \geq 2$ and level $N$ may be expressed in terms of the $q$-multiple zeta values of level $N$ studied algebraically by Yuan and Zhao. We also give results restricted to $q$-multiple zeta values with integer coefficients, and we construct completely additive generating sets for spaces of quasimodular forms and for quasimodular forms with integer coefficients. We also provide a variety of computational examples from number-theoretic perspectives that suggest many new applications of the algebraic structure of $q$-multiple zeta values to quasimodular forms and partitions.

On a Conjecture of Lan-Sheng-Zuo on Semistable Higgs Bundles: Rank 3 Case

Abstract:Let $X$ be a smooth projective curve of genus $g$ over an algebraically closed field $k$ of characteristic $p>2$. We prove that any rank $3$ nilpotent semistable Higgs bundle $(E,\theta)$ on $X$ is a strongly semistable Higgs bundle. This gives a partially affirmative answer to a conjecture of Lan-Sheng-Zuo \cite{LanShengZuo12ii}\footnotemark[1]. In addition, we prove a tensor product theorem for strongly semistable Higgs bundles with $p$ satisfying some bounds (Theorem \ref{TensorTheorem}). From this we reprove a tensor theorem for semistable Higgs bundles on the condition that the Lan-Sheng-Zuo conjecture holds (Corollary \ref{TensorStableBundle}).

Abstract: In this paper, we establish a theory of adelic line bundles over quasi-projective varieties over finitely generated fields. Besides definitions of adelic line bundles, we consider their intersection theory, volume theory, and height theory, and apply these to study heights of algebraic points of quasi-projective varieties.

Abstract:We characterize directs sums of twists of symmetric powers of the universal quotient bundle over the Grassmannian of lines. We use a method that could be used for analogue results on any arbitrary variety, and that should give stronger results than using the standard technique of Beilinson's spectral sequence.
