Abstract:In this paper, we show a construction of inductive limit for operator system based on Archimedeanization. This inductive limit may be not a closed operator system. We prove that many nuclearity properties could be preserved by a special case of this inductive limit.

Abstract:We present a systematic development of inductive limits in the categories of ordered *-vector spaces, Archimedean order unit spaces, matrix ordered spaces, operator systems and operator C*-systems. We show that the inductive limit intertwines the operation of passing to the maximal operator system structure of an Archimedean order unit space, and that the same holds true for the minimal operator system structure if the connecting maps are complete order embeddings. We prove that the inductive limit commutes with the operation of taking the maximal tensor product with another operator system, and establish analogous results for injective functorial tensor products provided the connecting maps are complete order embeddings. We identify the inductive limit of quotient operator systems as a quotient of the inductive limit, in case the involved kernels are completely biproximinal. We describe the inductive limit of graph operator systems as operator systems of topological graphs, show that two such operator systems are completely order isomorphic if and only if their underlying graphs are isomorphic, identify the C*-envelope of such an operator system, and prove a version of Glimm's Theorem on the isomorphism of UHF algebras in the category of operator systems.

Abstract:We show that the inductive limit of a certain inductive system of quasi-cocommutative C$^{*}$-bialgebras is not quasi-cocommutative. This implies that the category of quasi-cocommutative C$^{*}$-bialgebras is not closed with respect to the inductive limit.

Abstract:We consider inductive systems of C*-algebras with completely positive contractive connecting maps. We define a condition, called C*-encoding, which is sufficient for the limit of the system to be completely order isomorphic to a C*-algebra and hence guarantees a unique C*-algebra associated to the limit. When the system consists of finite-dimensional C*-algebras, this condition is also necessary and thus characterizes when the limit is completely order isomorphic to a (nuclear) C*-algebra. C*-encoding systems generalize the NF systems of Blackadar and Kirchberg and the CPC*-systems of the author and Winter. Moreover, any system of completely positive approximations of a nuclear C*-algebra gives rise to a C*-encoding system. Consequently a separable C*-algebra is nuclear if and only if it is completely order isomorphic to the limit of a C*-encoding system. This gives an inductive limit description of all separable nuclear C*-algebras equivalent to the recent construction of the author and Winter but without the additional structure of order zero maps. Without these extra structural requirements, one can easily construct examples of our systems, which we demonstrate for all amenable group C*-algebras.

Abstract:In this article we propose a conception of mixed limits of functional spaces as the case, when the upper limit (projective limit of inductive limits) and the lower limit (inductive limit of projective limits) coincide as topological spaces, which are generalization of inductive and projective limits of functional spaces. We show a cases where these mixed limits are naturally obtained as the limit spaces of non-commutative $L_p$-type spaces associated with the sequence of operators. Also, we obtain results on the properties of limit spaces, we show that limit spaces of Banach algebras are (LF)-spaces, if they converge.

Abstract:Let K be an algebraically closed field which is complete with respect to a non-trivial non-Archimedean absolute value |⋅|. We study metric properties of the limit set Λ of a semigroup G generated by a finite set of contractive analytic functions on O={z∈K||z|⩽1}. We prove that the limit set Λ of G is uniformly perfect if the derivative of each generating function of G does not vanish on O. Furthermore, we show that if each coefficient of the generating functions is in the field Qp of p-adic numbers, or the limit set Λ satisfies the strong open set condition, then Λ has the doubling property. This yields that the limit set Λ is quasisymmetrically equivalent to the space Z2 of 2-adic integers. We also give a counterexample to show that not all limit sets have the doubling property. The Berkovich space is introduced to study the limit set Λ, and we prove that the limit set Λ has a positive capacity in the Berkovich space which yields that there exists an equilibrium measure μ whose support is contained in the limit set Λ. We also show that if the semigroup is generated by a countable set of contractive analytic functions, then its limit set Λ can be non-compact. However, if coefficients of the generating functions lie in Qp, then the limit set Λ is compact.

Abstract:The paper is devoted to construction of some closed inductive sequence of models of the generalized second-order Dedekind theory of real numbers with exponentially increasing powers. These models are not isomorphic whereas all models of the standard second-order Dedekind theory are. The main idea in passing to generalized models is to consider instead of superstructures with the single common set-theoretical equality and the single common set-theoretical belonging superstructures with several generalized equalities and several generalized belongings for first and second orders. The basic tools for the presented construction are the infraproduct of collection of mathematical systems different from the factorized Loś ultraproduct and the corresponding generalized infrafiltration theorem. As its auxiliary corollary we obtain the generalized compactness theorem for the generalized second-order language.

Abstract:We write arbitrary separable nuclear C*-algebras as limits of inductive systems of finite-dimensional C*-algebras with completely positive connecting maps. The characteristic feature of such CPC*-systems is that the maps become more and more orthogonality preserving. This condition makes it possible to equip the limit, a priori only an operator space, with a multiplication turning it into a C*-algebra. Our concept generalizes the NF systems of Blackadar and Kirchberg beyond the quasidiagonal case.

Abstract:Let $\Gamma$ be a countable abelian group. An (abstract) $\Gamma$-system $\mathrm{X}$ - that is, an (abstract) probability space equipped with an (abstract) probability-preserving action of $\Gamma$ - is said to be a Conze-Lesigne system if it is equal to its second Host-Kra-Ziegler factor $\mathrm{Z}^2(\mathrm{X})$. The main result of this paper is a structural description of such Conze-Lesigne systems for arbitrary countable abelian $\Gamma$, namely that they are the inverse limit of translational systems $G_n/\Lambda_n$ arising from locally compact nilpotent groups $G_n$ of nilpotency class $2$, quotiented by a lattice $\Lambda_n$. Results of this type were previously known when $\Gamma$ was finitely generated, or the product of cyclic groups of prime order. In a companion paper, two of us will apply this structure theorem to obtain an inverse theorem for the Gowers $U^3(G)$ norm for arbitrary finite abelian groups $G$.

Abstract:We show that the notion of $(\infty,n)$-limit defined using the enriched approach and the one defined using the internal approach coincide. We also give explicit constructions of various double $(\infty,n-1)$-categories implementing various join constructions, slice constructions and cone constructions, and study their properties. We further prove that key examples of $(\infty,n)$-categories are (co)complete.

Abstract:This is a survey on the amalgamated limit, a limit construction for complete Boolean algebras in iterated forcing theory, which generalizes both the direct limit and the two-step amalgamation. We focus in particular on examples of the amalgamated limit from the literature and on the topological amalgamated limit for compact Hausdorff spaces.

Abstract:We study limit models in the abstract elementary class of modules with embeddings as algebraic objects. We characterize parametrized noetherian rings using the degree of injectivity of certain limit models. We show that the number of limit models and how close a ring is from being noetherian are inversely proportional. $\textbf{Theorem.}$ Let $n \geq 0$ The following are equivalent. 1. $R$ is left $(<\aleph_{n } )$-noetherian but not left $(< \aleph_{n -1 })$-noetherian. 2.The abstract elementary class of modules with embeddings has exactly $n +1$ non-isomorphic $\lambda$-limit models for every $\lambda \geq (\operatorname{card}(R) + \aleph_0)^+$ such that the class is stable in $\lambda$. We further show that there are rings such that the abstract elementary class of modules with embeddings has exactly $\kappa$ non-isomorphic $\lambda$-limit models for every infinite cardinal $\kappa$.

Abstract:Let $A$ be an infinite set. Let $\Omega(A)$ be the algebra over $A$ where every constant is a fundamental constant and every finitary function is a fundamental operation. We shall give a method of representing any algebra $\mathcal{L}$ in the variety generated by $\Omega(A)$ as limit reduced powers and even direct limits of limit reduced powers of $\mathcal{L}$. If the algebra $\mathcal{L}$ is elementarily equivalent to $\Omega(A)$, then this construction represents $\Omega(A)$ as a limit ultrapower and also as direct limits of limit ultrapowers of $\Omega(A)$. This method therefore gives a method of representing Boolean ultrapowers and other generalizations of the ultrapower construction as limit ultrapowers and direct limits of limit ultrapowers.

Abstract:We describe the framework for the notion of a restricted inverse limit of categories, with the main motivating example being the category of polynomial representations of the group $GL_{\infty}$. This category is also known as the category of strict polynomial functors of finite degree, and it is the restricted inverse limit of the categories of polynomial representations of $GL_n$. This note is meant to serve as a reference for future work.

Abstract:Many features of physical systems, both qualitative and quantitative, become sharply defined or tractable only in some limiting situation. Examples are phase transitions in the thermodynamic limit, the emergence of classical mechanics from quantum theory at large action, and continuum quantum field theory arising from renormalization group fixed points. It would seem that few methods can be useful in such diverse applications. However, we here present a flexible modeling tool for the limit of theories: soft inductive limits constituting a generalization of inductive limits of Banach spaces. In this context, general criteria for the convergence of dynamics will be formulated, and these criteria will be shown to apply in the situations mentioned and more.

Rigidity of operator systems: tight extensions and noncommutative measurable structures

Abstract:Let $A$ be a unital $C^*$-algebra generated by some separable operator system $S$. More than a decade ago, Arveson conjectured that $S$ is hyperrigid in $A$ if all irreducible representations of $A$ are boundary representations for $S$. Recently, a counterexample to the conjecture was found by Bilich and Dor-On. To circumvent the difficulties hidden in this counterexample, we exploit some of Pedersen's seminal ideas on noncommutative measurable structures and establish an amended version of Arveson's conjecture. More precisely, we show that all irreducible representations of $A$ are boundary representations for $S$ precisely when all representations of $A$ admit a unique "tight" completely positive extension from $S$. In addition, we prove an equivalence between uniqueness of such tight extensions and rigidity of completely positive approximations for representations of nuclear $C^*$-algebras, thereby extending the classical principle of Korovkin--Saskin for commutative algebras.

Abstract:In this paper, we present an abstract framework of many-valued modal logic with the interpretation of atomic propositions and modal operators as predicate lifting over coalgebras for an endofunctor on the category of sets. It generalizes Pattinson's stratification method for colagebraic modal logic to the many-valued setting. In contrast to standard techniques of canonical model construction and filtration, this method employs an induction principle to prove the soundness, completeness, and finite model property of the logics. As a consequence, we can lift a restriction on the previous approach~ \cite{Lin2022} that requires the underlying language must have the expressive power to internalize the meta-level truth valuation operations.

Abstract:We continue our study of tensor products in the operator system category. We define operator system quotients and exactness in this setting and refine the notion of nuclearity by studying operator systems that preserve various pairs of tensor products. One of our main goals is to relate these refinements of nuclearity to the Kirchberg conjecture. In particular, we prove that the Kirchberg conjecture is equivalent to the statement that every operator system that is (min,er)-nuclear is also (el,c)-nuclear. We show that operator system quotients are not always equal to the corresponding operator space quotients and then study exactness of various operator system tensor products for the operator system quotient. We prove that an operator system is exact for the min tensor product if and only if it is (min,el)-nuclear. We give many characterizations of operator systems that are (min,er)-nulcear, (el,c)-nuclear, (min,el)-nulcear and (el,max)-nuclear. These characterizations involve operator system analogues of various properties from the theory of C*-algebras and operator spaces, including the WEP and LLP.

In particular, we construct left orderings of inductive limits of amalgamated free products by using isolated left orderings of the groups appearing in the inductive system.
