Abstract:The objective of this paper is to study some dynamic integral inequalities on time scales, which provide explicit bounds on unknown functions. Our results include many known ones in the literature and can be used as tools in the study of qualitative theory of certain classes of dynamic equations with mixed nonlinearities on time scales.

Abstract:Jensen’s inequality and extended Jensen’s inequality are two important integral inequalities when problems of stability analysis and controller synthesis for time-delay systems are considered. The extended Jensen’s inequality introduces two additional free matrices and is generally regarded to be less conservative than Jensen’s inequality. The equivalence between Jensen’s inequality and extended Jensen’s inequality in bounding the quadratic term −h∫t−htẋT(s)Zẋ(s)ds in Lyapunov functional of time-delay systems is presented and theoretically proved. It is shown that the extended Jensen’s inequality does not decrease the lower bound of this quadratic term obtained using Jensen’s inequality, and then it does not reduce the conservativeness though two additional free matrices M1 and M2 are involved.

Abstract:Detailed analysis shows that the famous Iyengar inequality actually says that the Trapezoidal formula is a central algorithm for approximating integrals over an appropriate interval for the class of functions whose derivatives are bounded by a positive number K in L ∞ -sense. The inherent nonlinearity from central algorithms reflects the importance of the Iyengar inequality and thus makes familiar linear methods malfunction when one tries to generalize it. It is shown that the generalization depends on a nonlinear system of equations satisfied by a set of free nodes of a perfect spline. Explicit constructions are obtained in the spirit of the Iyengar inequality for the class of functions whose r th ( r ≤4) derivatives are bounded by a positive number K in L ∞ -sense because a closed solution to the nonlinear system is only available for r ≤4. Connections with computational mathematics, especially with best interpolation and best quadrature, are discussed. Numerical experiments are also included.

Such extensions are the best possible in the same sense as that of the Iyengar inequality. Abstract:In this paper, we study the sharp constants of quantitative Hardy and Rellich inequalities on nonreversible Finsler manifolds equipped with arbitrary measures. In particular, these inequalities can be globally refined by adding remainder terms like the Brezis–Vázquez improvement, if Finsler manifolds are of strictly negative flag curvature, vanishing S-curvature and finite uniformity constant. Furthermore, these results remain valid when Finsler metrics are reversible.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish some new dynamic Hardy-type inequalities with negative parameters on time scales nabla calculus by applying the reverse H ölder's inequality, integration by parts, and chain rule on time scales nabla calculus. As special cases of our results (when $ \mathbb{ T = R} $), we get the continuous analouges of inequalities proven by Benaissa and Sarikaya, and when $ \mathbb{T = N}_{0} $, the results to the best of the authors' knowledge are essentially new.

Abstract:This paper introduces novel generalizations of dynamic inequalities of Copson type within the framework of time scales delta calculus. The proposed generalizations leverage mathematical tools such as Hölder's inequality, Minkowski's inequality, the chain rule on time scales, and the properties of power rules on time scales. As special cases of our results, particularly when the time scale T equals the real line (T=R), we derive some classical continuous analogs of previous inequalities. Furthermore, when T corresponds to the set of natural numbers including zero (T=N0), the obtained results, to the best of the authors' knowledge, represent innovative contributions to the field.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce novel extensions of the reversed Minkowski inequality for various functions defined on time scales. Our approach involves the application of Jensen's and Hölder's inequalities on time scales. Our results encompass the continuous inequalities established by Benaissa as special cases when the time scale $ \mathbb{T} $ corresponds to the real numbers (when $ \mathbb{T = R} $). Additionally, we derive distinct inequalities within the realm of time scale calculus, such as cases $ \mathbb{ T = N} $ and $ q^{\mathbb{N}} $ for $ q > 1 $. These findings represent new and significant contributions for the reader.

Abstract:In this paper, we focus on the parameter-dependent integral on time scales. By combining multiple integration theory on time scales and usual parameter-dependent integration theory in classical mathematical analysis, both normal parameter-dependent integral on time scales and improper parameter-dependent integral on time scales are investigated efficiently. Many criteria for uniform convergence and important analytical properties are developed, respectively. Finally, a lot of examples are also presented to substantiate the theoretical results.

Abstract:As an efficient mathematical tool, monotonicity rules play an extremely crucial role in the real analysis field. In this paper, we explore some monotonicity rules for quotient of Delta, Nabla and Diamond-Alpha integrals with variable upper limits and parameters on time scales, respectively. Moreover, we consider the monotonicity rules for quotient of the product of multiple Delta integrals with parameters on time scales. Power series is also concerned for being a special case of integral with parameters on time scales.

Abstract:In this article, we establish certain time-scale-retarded dynamic inequalities that contain nonlinear retarded integral equations on various time scales. These inequalities extend and generalize some significant inequalities existing in the literature to their more general forms. The qualitative and quantitative characteristics of solutions to various dynamic equations on time scales involving retarded integrals can be studied using these inequalities. The results presented in this manuscript furnish a powerful tool to analyze the boundedness of nonlinear integral equations with retarded integrals on several time scales. In the end, we also include numerical illustrations to signify the applicability of these results to power nonlinear retarded integral equations on real and quantum time scales.
