Abstract:In this paper, we will fully describe the representations of the crystallographic rank two affine Hecke algebras using elementary methods, for all possible values of q. The focus is on the case when q is a root of unity of small order.

Abstract:We construct the basic representation of the double affine Hecke algebra at critical level $q=1$ associated to an irreducible reduced affine root system $R$ with a reduced gradient root system. For $R$ of untwisted type such a representation was studied by Oblomkov [O04] and further detailed by Gehles [G06] in the presence of minuscule weights.

Abstract:We build representations of the affine and double affine braid groups and Hecke algebras of type $C^\vee C_n$, based upon the theory of quantum symmetric pairs $(U,B)$. In the case $U=U_q(gl_N)$, our constructions provide a quantization of the representations constructed by Etingof, Freund and Ma in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="0801.1530" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/0801.1530">arXiv:0801.1530</a>, and also a type $BC$ generalization of the results in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="0805.2766" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/0805.2766">arXiv:0805.2766</a>.

Abstract:The authors introduce a pair of canonical-conjugate q-deformed operators D, X and discuss the relations between the deformed operators D, X and q-series. The realizations of some Lie symmetries, Heisenberg and quantum Heisenberg algebras are given for the operators D and X. They show that the q-analogous Hermite polynomials are representations of Heisenberg and quantum Heisenberg algebras realized in this way. When q is a root of unity, the properties of the q-analogous Hermite polynomials are also discussed.

Abstract:We study the bimodule structure of the quantum function algebra for type A at roots of unity and prove that it admits a filtration with factors isomorphic to the tensor products of the dual of the Weyl modules $V^*_{\lambda}\otimes V^*_{-\omega_0\lambda}$. As an application, we compute the HH0 Hochschild cohomology of the function algebra at roots of unity.

Abstract:When the parameter $q\in\mathbb C^*$ is not a root of unity, simple modules of affine $q$-Schur algebras have been classified in terms of Frenkel--Mukhin's dominant Drinfeld polynomials (\cite[4.6.8]{DDF}). We compute these Drinfeld polynomials associated with the simple modules of an affine $q$-Schur algebra which come from the simple modules of the corresponding $q$-Schur algebra via the evaluation maps.

Abstract:An associative algebra is defined on the set of certain irreducible representation spaces of the algebra U(q)(sl(n)) when q is a root of unity. This associative algebra is shown to be connected with some algebras defined by the decomposition rule of tensor products of the irreducible representations of certain finite groups.

Abstract:The (Iwahori-)Hecke algebra in the title is a $q$-deformation $\sH$ of the group algebra of a finite Weyl group $W$. The algebra $\sH$ has a natural enlargement to an endomorphism algebra $\sA=\End_\sH(\sT)$ where $\sT$ is a $q$-permutation module. In type $A_n$ (i.e., $W\cong {\mathfrak S}_{n+1}$), the algebra $\sA$ is a $q$-Schur algebra which is quasi-hereditary and plays an important role in the modular representation of the finite groups of Lie type. In other types, $\sA$ is not always quasi-hereditary, but the authors conjectured 20 year ago that $\sT$ can be enlarged to an $\sH$-module $\sT^+$ so that $\sA^+=\End_\sH(\sT^+)$ is at least standardly stratified, a weaker condition than being quasi-hereditary, but with "strata" corresponding to Kazhdan-Lusztig two-sided cells. The main result of this paper is a "local" version of this conjecture in the equal parameter case, viewing $\sH$ as defined over ${\mathbb Z}[t,t^{-1}]$, with the localization at a prime ideal generated by a cyclotomic polynomial $\Phi_{2e}(t)$, $e\not=2$. The proof uses the theory of rational Cherednik algebras (also known as RDAHAs) over similar localizations of ${\mathbb C}[t,t^{-1}]$. In future paper, the authors expect to apply these results to prove global versions of the conjecture, at least in the equal parameter case with bad primes excluded.

Abstract:The representation theory of 0-Hecke-Clifford algebras as a degenerate case is not semisimple and also with rich combinatorial meaning. Bergeron et al. have proved that the Grothendieck ring of the category of finitely generated supermodules of 0-Hecke-Clifford algebras is isomorphic to the algebra of peak quasisymmetric functions defined by Stembridge. In this paper we further study the category of finitely generated projective supermodules and clarify the correspondence between it and the peak algebra of symmetric groups. In particular, two kinds of restriction rules for induced projective supermodules are obtained. After that, we consider the corresponding Heisenberg double and its Fock representation to prove that the ring of peak quasisymmetric functions is free over the subring of symmetric functions spanned by Schur's Q-functions.

Abstract:We identify the rigid dualizing complex of the (generic) affine Hecke algebra $H_q$ attached to a reduced root system and deduce some structural properties as a consequence. For example, we show that the classical Hecke algebra $H_{q^\pm}$ as well as $H_q/q$ are, under a certain condition on the root system, Frobenius over their centers with Nakayama automorphism given by an explicit involution.

Abstract:We prove that both stated skein algebras and their reduced versions at odd roots of unity are almost-Azumaya and compute the rank of a reduced stated skein algebra over its center, extending a theorem of Frohman, Kania-Bartoszynska and Lê to the case of open punctured surfaces. We deduce that generic irreducible representations of the reduced stated skein algebras are of quantum Teichmüller type and, conversely, that generic quantum Teichmüller type representations are irreducible.

Abstract:We introduce a family of cluster algebras of infinite rank associated with root systems of type $A$, $D$, $E$. We show that suitable completions of these cluster algebras are isomorphic to the Grothendieck rings of the categories $\mathcal{O}_\mathbb{Z}$ of the corresponding shifted quantum affine algebras. The cluster variables of a class of distinguished initial seeds are certain formal power series defined by E. Frenkel and the second author, which satisfy a system of functional relations called $QQ$-system. We conjecture that all cluster monomials are classes of simple objects of $\mathcal{O}_\mathbb{Z}$. In the final section, we show that these cluster algebras contain infinitely many cluster subalgebras isomorphic to the coordinate ring of the open double Bruhat cell of the corresponding simple simply-connected algebraic group. This explains the similarity between $QQ$-system relations and certain generalized minor identities discovered by Fomin and Zelevinsky.

Abstract:We study the PI degree of various quantum algebras at roots of unity, including quantum Grassmannians, quantum Schubert varieties, partition subalgebras, and their associated quantum affine spaces. By a theorem of De Concini and Procesi, the PI degree of partition subalgebras and their associated quantum affine spaces is controlled by skew-symmetric integral matrices associated to (Cauchon-Le) diagrams. We prove that the invariant factors of these matrices are always powers of 2. This allows us to compute explicitly the PI degree of partition subalgebras. Our results also apply to certain completely prime (homogeneous) quotients of partition subalgebras. In particular, our results allow us to extend results of Jakobsen and Jondrup regarding the PI degree of quantum determinantal rings at roots of unity [JJ01] and we present a method to construct an irreducible representation of maximal dimension for quantum determinantal ideals. Building on these results, we use the strong connection between partition subalgebras and quantum Schubert varieties through noncommutative dehomogenisation [LR08] to obtain expressions for the PI degree of quantum Schubert varieties. In particular, we compute the PI degree of quantum Grassmannians.

Abstract:We further develop the abstract representation theory of affine Hecke algebras with arbitrary positive parameters. We establish analogues of several results that are known for reductive p-adic groups. These include: the relation between parabolic induction/restriction and Hermitian duals, Bernstein's second adjointness and generalizations of the Langlands classification. We check that, in the known cases of equivalences between module categories of affine Hecke algebras and Bernstein blocks for reductive p-adic groups, such equivalences preserve Hermitian duality. We also initiate the study of generic representation of affine Hecke algebras. Based on an analysis of the Hecke algebras associated to generic Bernstein blocks for quasi-split reductive p-adic groups, we propose a fitting definition of genericity for modules over affine Hecke algebras. With that notion we prove special cases of the generalized injectivity conjecture, about generic subquotients of standard modules for affine Hecke algebras.

Abstract:For a root system R, a field K and a "choice of coefficients in K" we define a category of graded spaces with operators and study some of its properties. Then we assume that the coefficients are given by quantum binomials. We use basic arithmetic properties of binomial coefficients (such as q-versions of Lucas' theorem and the Pfaff-Saalschütz identity) to construct a Frobenius pull back functor and prove a Steinberg's tensor product formula. Then we show that these results imply the corresponding results for reductive algebraic groups in positive characteristics and for quantum groups at roots of unity.

Abstract:Let $W$ be a simply laced Weyl group of finite type and rank $n$. If $W$ has type $E_7$, $E_8$, or $D_n$ for $n$ even, then the root system of $W$ has subsystems of type $nA_1$. This gives rise to an irreducible Macdonald representation of $W$ spanned by $n$-roots, which are products of $n$ orthogonal roots in the symmetric algebra of the reflection representation. We prove that in these cases, the set of all maximal sets of orthogonal positive roots has the structure of a quasiparabolic set in the sense of Rains--Vazirani. The quasiparabolic structure can be described in terms of certain quadruples of orthogonal positive roots which we call crossings, nestings, and alignments. This leads to nonnesting and noncrossing bases for the Macdonald representation, as well as some highly structured partially ordered sets. We use the $8$-roots in type $E_8$ to give a concise description of a graph that is known to be non-isomorphic but quantum isomorphic to the orthogonality graph of the $E_8$ root system.

Various real and imaginary root vectors for the universal quantum groups are constructed with the help of the relative braid group action, and they are used to construct affine rank one subalgebras of . We then establish relations among real and imaginary root vectors in different affine rank one subalgebras and use them to give a Drinfeld type presentation of .

Symmetry Integrability and Geometry Methods and Applications

Abstract:The goals of this paper are threefold. First, we provide a new ''universal'' definition for the Racah algebra of rank 2 as an extension of the rank-1 Racah algebra where the generators are indexed by subsets and any three disjoint indexing sets define a subalgebra isomorphic to the rank-1 case. With this definition, we explore some of the properties of the algebra including verifying that these natural assumptions are equivalent to other defining relations in the literature. Second, we look at the symmetries of the generators of the rank-2 Racah algebra. Those symmetries allows us to partially make abstraction of the choice of the generators and write relations and properties in a different format. Last, we provide a novel representation of the Racah algebra. This new representation requires only one generator to be diagonal and is based on an expansion of the split basis representation from the rank-1 Racah algebra.

Abstract:We use deformation theory to study the big Hecke algebra acting on mod-2 modular forms of prime level $N$ and all weights, especially its local component at the trivial representation. For $N = 3, 5$, we prove that the maximal reduced quotient of this big Hecke algebra is isomorphic to the maximal reduced quotient of the corresponding universal deformation ring. Then we completely determine the structure of this big Hecke algebra. We also describe a natural grading on mod-$p$ Hecke algebras.
