Abstract:Switchable templated polymerization is reported by Bas G. P. van Ravensteijn, Ilja K. Voets et al. in their Research Article (e202206780), as illustrated in the cover picture. The green and grey sections represent the high (green) and low (grey) pH conditions under which the template is switched OFF and ON, respectively. In the OFF state, monomers and growing polymers are not attracted to the template, preventing any monomer conversion. In the ON state, monomers are drawn to the template, facilitating their polymerization. The forming polymers and templates assemble into micellar structures, of which one is highlighted in the middle of the cover. Switchable templated polymerization is reported by Bas G.
