Discussion on the Evolution of Tumors from the Perspective of “Healthy Qi Transformed into Cancer Toxins”

Abstract:The theory of cancerous toxin has further improved the understanding of cancer in traditional Chinese medicine, but there are great disputes on the origin of cancerous toxin comes from, how to evolve, basic characteristics and other aspects. Combined with the theory of qi, the theory of Yin-Yang and the understanding of modern science on tumor formation, it is proposed that when carcinogenic evil qi has a long-term and weak character, there is a special form of the struggle between the healthy qi and pathogenic qi, which is easy to turn the regulation of healthy qi into cancer toxin and then form tumors. We proposed that cancer toxin originates from healthy qi and is the product of the healthy qi transformed into cancer toxins. By discussing the process of healthy qi transformed into cancer toxins, the basic characteristics of cancer toxins are yang hyperactivity with yin exuberance. The development of cancer is the cancer toxins flow, accumulating into the weak places of bodies, and affect the coordination between Zang-fu(脏腑), gradually forming a vicious circle. Based on the law of tumor’s forming and development, cancer treatment should avoid carcinogenic evil qi on the basis of paying attention to life nurturing. Not only eliminate the existing cancer toxins, but also prevent the healthy qi transformed into cancer toxins by eliminating pathogen, reinforcing healthy qi and using the astringent method flexibly.
